Honestly I think Keys should be A: only be from the bloodweb so rewards you for bringing one in and B: can only be obtained from chest by running plunders with the required RNG.

Imagine a killer could look under a rock amd find an ebony mori. The whole gamestate changes because of some mathematical chaos god. I agree keys should be on bloodwebs. Im not against them. But they should only be brought in at the beginning.

  • Create an in game com system where all survivors are able to communicate with each other without being in a friends group. Make muting someone an option to avoid being yelled at for missing skill checks by 12 year olds. Have the audio heard without a headset so players without a Mic can still hear whats going on.

Theoretically if everyone had equal access to coms and the information shared then the game could be balanced around that. The useless aura perks could be changed to something better and more useful.

  • Sure. Replace keys with firecrackers. Hell replace keys with prenerf instaheals and I'd be ok

You're probably better off than being in 2 games in that time considering your rank. Rank 18 killers are the WORST behavior wise.

Not arguing there but the more they play the faster they get out of those crap ranks.

  • @Hoodied said:

I am only wanted prayer beads changed, also don't use spine chill for one match against her

Why? Spine chill is an incredibly useful perk that is handy against just about every killer. I run it whenever i can, not just for spirit. Why intentionally handicap yourself just to try to prove that something is 'op'?

  • I feel the same way. There just isn't horror in this game after awhile. I have a fan creation about a killer that can create fake terror radius around the map and his power basically turns the lights out conpletely inside of any terror radius. Also making the survivor blind and deaf allowing the killer to basically sneak up on a survivor and scare the crap out of them when the lights come back on.

I just love the scenes where the killer just appears behind the victim. I would love that to come to this game. They can use my idea.

@Peanits i hereby give my consent to use any and all parts of my idea for the killer known as the fear. I desire zero compensation or recognition and waive my rights to any legal actions should this killer be used in game.

Done sorry didn't think of actually naming the chapter

  • I just want to apologize upfront. I'm being one of those grammer asses and i hate myself for it. Just know that i am in pain to be like this. But well....4% isn't a 1in20.

    4% is in reality a 1 in 25.

I don't know why this is bothering me just know the fact that I feel compelled to correct this is really ticking me off.

Im sorry and will go away now and contemplate some mental health therapy.

Hag is actually top tier. She's also the best anti-loop killer if you know how to use her traps.

Never said hag was bad, im quite fond of her when i play killer, just that the player playing her wasn't that good.

Also, if you need help learning maps, kates teachable windows of opportunity is great for finding pallets you dont know are there. As well as vault points.

  • 360 should be your last ditch hail mary play.

Im horrible at looping also, but i find that against certain killers, im able to predict things better as they are killers that im decent with.

Also, DCing doesnt help. I get the frustration but when you dc as soon as you are down, you lose the possible 2 or more chances of learning to play against that killer. Also, just because game starts bad doesnt mean it ends bad.

As an example, had a game against hag on the game map with sprint burst and not balanced landing, last night as solo. She saw me after i missed a ruin check going for the great. I started running turned a corner into a wall and I was downed. Within about 90 seconds she had 2 hooks and 3 injured people. It was probably 5 minutes before first gen got done. At one point I was injured, 2 people slugged and one on hook. I waited for her to pick one up and got the hooked person down, picked up the last slug, healed both of them, the one being carried wiggled free and brought hag back to us. We scattered and she got someone. Someone managed to find ruin, and we got 3 gens done. She killed 2 of us Then she found me again and i managed to run her around for probably 3 to 4 minutes. When she finally got me, after i wiggled free due to going down in an area with no hooks, i ran for probably another 2 or 3 minutes.

Last gen popped as i was hooked. Let myself die when i saw the last survivor wasn't coming for me and let her get hatch.

I get the hag wasn't the best killer, but im far from a good survivor. Moral of the novel here is, don't get frustrated, it's just a game. Keep playing. Don't DC and watch streamers. Honestly theres a lot of mixed feelings on tru3talent but for me he's helped alot as he explains his choices and why he does things and why some loops are safe amd others aren't.

Good luck and just keep playing. You'll get it

  • To be fair, it is lower than 1 in 20, simply because 4% equates to 1 in 25. Unless my math is wrong. 5% would be 1 in 20.

  • @Clarence88 said:

why i cant find a match as survivor or killer??iam play in switch...anyone please help me...i turn on my switch at 100% battery and until 50% i didnt play any match :(

It depends on how many people are playing the game when you are. You need 1 killer and 4 survivors. Being new on switch, im not sure how many people are playing.

This is a perfect example of how Killers are single handedly ruining this game with knee-jerk reactions.

It's clear that the OP does not know anything about this game other than what they perceive to be real.

    Oh, brother.

Killers are not singlehandedly ruining the game. OP had a concern or statement. He posted it. There was criticism. Both constructive and useless.

Devs stated that they are not going to touch the issues. Nothing changes in game.

  • Oh and I think devs need to hire you for play testing and analytics. Great job OP

I feel you mate...I like legion too

But if it makes you feel any better, a Michael was using legion addons once. (He used a shard and the addons probably just bugged out, but it was kinda fun... XD)

What happened there was he went into the game as legion with a full loadout, then used a shard to become the shape. What happens there is if the user doesn't own the character, he plays perkless. (Which i think is horrible to happen in a trial version of killer. At keast give its teachable, but i digress)

Or if he actually owns the character, he starts with whatever loadout is currently equipped to the trial killer.

However when you get to the result screen it shows the original character and loadout before the shard was burned.

I hope that makes any kind of sense

  • As a killer there is no winning. Go for a 4k? You're a sweaty ass. Play nice and fair? Noob git gud.

My mindset going into a game no matter what build i run is to kill all the survivors. But if the survivors arent being asses in game then i usually let the last one go.

If someone dcs i kill 2 of them and last one i down and bring to hatch.

I think my overall 'sweatyness' depends on survivors. If they gen rush whatever, but if they tbag every pallet and point and click, thats when i go full on 4k or bust.

  • Make it so only killer knows there is an obsession. Having a survivor know they are the obsession is about as bad as a killer knowing you have no mither from the get go.

The survivor can figure it out when they go to heal someone and they have the bonus heal speed, just as when a killer stumbles on a no mither player he hasn't hit yet.

  • I try to play fair. Dont go out of my way to tunnel or camp. For awhile, after getting yelled at so many times for running noed on og freddy (no ruin either) i did my best to play overly fair. Even if it meant giving up the right play at the time.

And of course when i started failing to kill people I'd get all kinds of taunts and brags in post game messages. (On console which i consider worse since end game chat isn't a thing and you have to go out of your way to insult someone. ) Of course this was when id be rank 15 matched up against a rank 16 and 3 red ranks. I would point that out and the reply would be get gud.

So now i do run noed on killers im not very familiar with. If i come across a recently unhooked person, I'll slug. I don't intentionally tunnel but i don't feel bad when it happens.

Camping only when situation calls for it. As spreading pressure is more important.

Run devour hope almost all the time. And mori for daily.

  • It should be that when all the fountains are corrupt, only 1 cleanses randomly. This way it makes it harder for survivors to keep cleansing and also keeps plague a bunch of fountains should she need them

  • Also, I think survivors shouldn't be made aware of who the obsession is, as it just really doesn't matter for them.

All survivors in a chase should have some kind of indication that they are being chased in the hud. Balance for solo.

How so? Because I made a post about how if solos are buffed than killers have to be buffed too and if the buff makes solo better than swf than swf will lobby dodge to play with their friends while buffed.

My post has nothing to do with you. I say outside voice coms because the game was never designed around that much communication. So many perks are deemed useless because they give info that is easier to share over chat.

It's why we are having to have to buff solo survivors to swf levels before we can make killers, even the bad ones much stronger.

I accept the desire to play with friends, I just feel like since the game wasn't designed for it, it is making things more difficult to balance around.

  • Only thing needing a balance is outside voice coms.

  • @sensualsatan said:

The devs honestly need to add some sort of compensation system for the players. So, when someone disconnects from the game, it can keep the players from deranking because another player left due to either poor internet or rage-quitting. Something that gives players just enough points in each emblem to keep them from losing pips. That way the rest is up to the remaining players as to how they do. Having official dedicated servers are still a bit off. Until then, BHVR needs to implement something like this in order to quell the deranking and point loss from disconnects.

Cant we just remove the dosconnect button? Make it where you have to shut the game down completely to disconnect. If you have a legit reason it wont affect you. If you are just being a douche then it makes it way more inconvenient.

  • I have DC'd once in my time playing. And only because the connection was so bad I would rubber band halfway down the street in haddonfield as survivor.

Never DC'd as killer. When I give up i open an exit gate and go to the furthest corner of the map and wait it out

I don't count internet dropping as DC'ing as i didn't want or make it to happen.

Real life happens i drop controller and walk away. At least i still get some points.

In my opinion, they should remove the disconnect button and force full game reset to leave a match early.

  • Still hoping for ghost Myers, glasses and all!

  • I think alert could be changed to give a noise notification when the killer performs a break action similar to how killers get notifications when surviivors rush actions. To be fair an invisible killer still makes a crap ton of noise when they break a pallet or gen. Its a good middle ground i think.

  • @Peanits can we get different colors or sounds on the affected killers? Would be really cool!

  • 1 and 2) I agree with. You don't get cash back but you can be refunded for the equivalent amount of cells that you choose what to do with.

    3) wanting charms which are just cosmetics has no basis on gameplay.

    4) you can say the same thing about the myriad number of skins available now

    5) numbers mean nothing. You have no idea how much money they want or need. Supply and demand. Every person selling a product is trying to make money. It's free market economics. If they felt they weren't making enough money they would move on

    6) you can buy the premium AFTER you complete the pass. No gambling needed

    7) in a way it gives older players something to work towards. And newer players more bloodpoints

  • If its in battlepass then it will be in store about 6 months after

  • I see nothing wrong with a company trying to make some extra money. Especially with the way this battle pass system is being set up. It is completely optional rewards you for playing whether or not you buy in. You have the option of waiting until you complete it before buying it. And everything in it will be available after 6 months anyway.

  • Killer ignore pallets when they can because of the time it takes to break them. Sometimes you have to break them others you can play around. Knowing which is which is part of a good killers AND survivors skill sets.

As far as hitting survivors up close, at least on console, it isnt always a sure thing. Especially clowns bottles.

  • They can only do so much in one update. Im sure they will touch mori soon.

So since we don't get our insta-heals, does that mean NOED is gonna be changed so it doesn't one down us?

Break the totems and you dont have to worry about it. In game solution that rewards with points AND survival.

Both should be done together, for balance. There is no indication that they are doing anything with EM. Therefore, my point stands.

Just to be clear, I don't care about IH nerf, but don't call it an action to bring balance when you have EM, which is even more imbalanced, still in game. Yes, IH sucks, but does not end the game for the killer. EM does.

I didnt hear anything about insta heal or med kit changes. Or detective hunch change or plunderers change. Just because they havent announced it doesn't mean it isnt happening

  • So, basically. All you have to do is not buy the oass until you max out. Then buy the pass get all the cosmetics and whatever else AND get your money back.

I don't see the predatory angle in this system. If anything, they are using it more as an incentive to keep people playing more so they can make money doing the things they already do.

I really dont get the hate

  • Id love ps4 xbox crossplay. I could actually play with my daughter in a game rather than just watch each other.

  • @Get_Yoshimaster said:

I really dislike that they made a battlepass in a game you already bought + several dlc + cosmetics ( auric cells ), battlepass are acceptable in f2p game not in regular game, I'll not buy this and I'm disappointed with theses choices

If i read it right you can make the cells back by playing meaning it is essentially free

  • No, not really. Most survivor perks cater to a specific playstyle and aren’t that good. They can be easily countered. DS can be countered by slugging. BT can be countered by leaving hook before they come back.

I dont think i ever said killer has no gameplay counter to things just that survivors have better counters.

One major issue with your argument is the “don’t count in this discussion” statement.

(Was only talking about outside coms with that statement. Im talking about in game mechanics)

Ruin isn’t the only perk you can slow the game down with. PGTW, CI, HL, are all pretty good perks. Totem spots are being worked on to be harder to find.

(Not sure what HL is, having a brain fart and not taking anything away fromcthe other 2. They are good. As for totems, i can't tell the future so as the game stands now, totems are most of the time a wasted perk. Especially with inner strength the devs are pretty much demanding the survivors do bones.)

Just because a killers power relies on survivors doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a bad one. Set up killers like hag have huge payoffs and hard learning curves that can really be good for you.

(I like playing hag trust me I know. But again small game, flashlights, urban evasion)

Small game itself is a perk that’s primarily ran if you’re using totems. It gives you a notification if you’re looking toward one and is on cooldown after. You don’t know exactly where it is, but it also could be something totally different. If you run that perk just solely for the purpose of countering the setup killers, that completely ignores all other killers and is a statement that is a victim of Hasty Generalization.

(I run small game because i havent memorized the totem spawn points in every map. If I go against a set up killer then bonus)

The main issue I’m finding with this argument is bias. There are plenty of ways counter perks, but it seems you haven’t looked into finding and counterplay/tips to go against them. If we’re going into the detail, stealth killers now have the undetectable status effect that won’t activate counter stealth perks. If we’re talking Spies from the Shadows, that’s countered by Calm Spirit— a perk that’s pretty niche and not worth running.

(Does oblivious counter spine chill? Im not sure. If it does then great. But again i like that perk because its useful against every killer not just stealth)

BBQ is a the aura perk that has four tokens that not only majorly increases the amount of BP you get, but also helps you make better decisions on what you’re going to do next.

(Was talking about the distortion? perk that denies auras for killer 3 times. I know nobody runs it.)

Killer perks are just as good as survivor perks, if not in some cases (talking meta) they can be better, but it must be said that not all perks are intended to be meta.

(i understand not every perk should be meta, but killer is supposed to be scary and they just aren't )

I’m not trying to be rude by any means, but after reading it over there’s a lot of things you said that I personally don’t agree with. By no means am I implying that you are bad or bad at the game, but rather, I feel as if you could utilize constructive criticism to overall make you play to your own satisfactory goals/terms.

(I suck at the game. These are just observations)

That being said. Counter hex perks even noed, do bones. Competely useless. Counter adrenaline. Cant. Counter self care, with nurses if survivors are sloppy but still perk is useful. Counter iron will. Bloodhound maybe? Inner strength? Promotes the destruction of killer perks for no downside except iron maiden? Still 15 seconds sucks. Discordance? Dont team up. Useless.

    Again just my observations.

  • Remove outside comms from survivors

Remove survivor portrait status bar from killer.

Also, remove claudette and remove nurse

  • Windows of opportunity from kate is a pretty good teaching perk. Lets you see pallets and vault points until you become accustomed to map layouts

  • Nea would be skateboarding and spray painting her tag, 'NTT' across the various maps.

  • The game gets too stale too quick. Without new killers and perks people would quit out of boredom

  • @GeneralSpudmuffin said:

Okay, I realize it's a joke, but Head Start would be neat to see in game.

    Head Start

-at the beginning of the trial, all generators start at 15/20/30% and regressing. Generators are more durable, taking slightly/moderately more time to damage. You begin the trial with Exhaustion for 180/140/100 seconds.

    Thats really not bad lol

  • You forgot

Head Strong - Vaulting pallets takes too long. While near a fallen pallet, tap the power button to bull rush through the obstacle. The pallet is broken and you are afflicted with the mangled status effect until you find some Tylenol.

"Slow and steady never won me anything!" - Jane Romero

    And

Head Start - You've always been a forward thinker and planned ahead whenever possible. Equipping this perk instantly progresses all generators on a map by 99% at the beginning of a trial. They can not regress.

"Always plan for the impossible" - Jane Romero

    Or

Head Down - Stealth is your middle name. When crouching you become completely invisible and lose all collision. Also you make no noise. Any Claudettes in the trial are marked with a bright radiance that can be seen up to 128 meters away. Also, they are exposed and killers can mori them without first hooking them.

"I'll show Claudette what stealth means! Ahahahahahahaha" - Jane Romero

  • As for pallets. Generally there are very few that i have seen that would be able to both be able to stun a killer and then get broken in 2 kicks.

Most pallets when standing in end come roughly waist high. So at most the killers would hit there knees when dropped.

Most pallets are also made using cheap lightweight wood as they arent designed to do more than keep a load with an equally distributed load off the floor and also to allow fork lifts or pallet jacks a way to easily move the load.

A killer especially one in bloodlust really should be able to walk through most falling pallets. Especially since its leaning against the wall and falls maybe 45 degrees, barely enough movement to create enough speed and force to be anything more than annoying.

There are heavily built pallets that way a godawful amount. These pallets could do some damage, however even an angry person wouldnt be able to break one in 2 stomps.

That being said, it's a game purposely set in a world made up by some alien entity. (Alien strange not alien Martian although who knows for sure)

It creates it's own physics. Also how do we know that the bodies of the survivors are actually there human bodies? Could the entity have the real bodies in stasis somewhere, letting the minds of survivors go through thinking it's all real? It's not like the entity needs blood and flesh, just the emotions of it. So if the bodies aren't real then the chainsaw wouldn't react the same way?

Im done, but this could keep going on and on

  • Currently playing kate because minus the head i love her biker outfit. Only cosmetic in game ive spent money on.

Previously it was Adam because I hardly ever see him in game.

Chose Nea at random when i first started (forshadowing my eventual turn to killer main)

Nea is still the only survivor i have prestiged.

  • As much as the original predator is one of my all time favorite movies, and as much as i would absolutely love to kill Claudettes with the plasma cannon or wrist knives, i don't think dbd would be able to do him justice.

One of my favorite lines from the movie is when Dutch says, "He's using the trees" (insert heavy Austrian accent). The agility of the Yautja species just cant me depicted properly in it's current form.

Movement would have to be overhauled to allow better verticality and jumping. Maps would need redesigns to allow it. Very few loop spots would be viable when he sbould just be able to jump up and land on survivors. It would rival nurse in uncounterability.

Dont get me wrong, i absolutely love the idea, i just dont think that dbd is the right medium to bring him into in its current state. Deathgarden though is a while different thing....

  • @PoisonN said:

That's what they love to do when you're not using Spirit

And if you so use spirit then you are absolute trash and should just delete the game and/or your life.

  • Make it like the exit gates at end game. No aura until trap activates and then auras of boxes are shown for 10 seconds and then disappear. That would definitely cause stress and slow the game down.

As it is the traps really don't do anything. Any time i die to pig it isnt because i spent half the match looking for a key, but because i got tunneled.

  • My daughter got the game when it was free on ps4. Trying to be the involved parent i asked for a turn. Tried 2 or 3 games and told her never again. Then decided to play killer. As og freddy. Didn't know about having to put people to sleep. That was bad too. Played sparingly for a couple of months because i loved the concept just hated the game.

Then kinda started to figure things out. Watched some videos. Learned killer powers from playing them still cant play survivor for crap, and for killer im meh.

Never had a group to play with so every que for me is solo. Probably why i main killer.

Your friends need to do a custom game with you for awhile rather than rank down. Let you run around the maps, learn where to hide. Maybe figure out some totem spots. Throw you against ruin so you can learn to work through that. You wont be a pro but give it a dozen or so games like that and you will have a foundation to build skills on.

As for perks, sprint burst is good if you know where you are running to. Adrenaline is useless if you cant make it to end game. Beginner perks really should be working on Claudette for self care and the one where you see injured team mates. The aura info is great if you ever go solo. Then i suggest nea for urban evasion and balanced landing. Some maps balanced is near auto win against most killers not named nurse. Pick up spine chill or premonition. Kindred if you can find it is great for low rank solo. Most new players are scared and if they see the killer isn't near you they will be more likely to help you.

Ultimately balancing matchmaking isnt easy with no perfect answer. For awhile i wpuld get games against 1 rank 18 and then 3 purple and red ranks. Id get destroyed. To the point where i quit playing killer because it wasnt fun. So i do understand where you are coming from. Just really need to invest in the learning curve. It's almost like work sometimes. Without a paycheck.

Sorry for the novel of text.

  • Hex- Lethal Distraction

    Uncommon/rare/very rare

While this perk is active, survivors within a 8/12/16 meter range of any totem gain the oblivious status effect. Also the glow from active hex totems is darkened by 50%

"The overwhelming images of a better time threaten to shift my focus away from survival. Distraction here is pain and death." From the journal of Vigo

  • seems way to strong for just taping the power button, maybe make the range they can see equal to the killers terror radius?

That negates the purpose. The fear wants as big of a terror radius as possible. Maybe 4-6 meters of sight? The killer cant attack and survivor can still move freely. My favorite horror scenes are where the lights are out and when they come back on the killer is right behind the victim. That's what I am aiming for in this power. It really isnt supposed to do anything but scare the hell out of the survivor.

Silent Demise is basically knockout but sound. Now that I think if it is a bit lackluster. Can't change the survivor icons though because of swf. Will think about this more.

Just a Flesh Wound thwarts sloppy butcher. No Mither needs changing.

Crossfoot puts a 12 meter wide trail of scratch marks. On some maps like game and lerys, combined with Sprint burst and qnq, and good luck following that trail
