  • All leatherfaces facecamp. Just most of them.

  • So maybe we all just start dodging lobbies for zits and giggles? Lol!

  • I think event cosmetics should be available but during events. Like the hallowed blight stuff this year. You can buy the new stuff with event currency as well as last years. This way everyone has the same kind of grind and everyone has a chance to get it.

Wow, you are being very nice, I was expecting worse for my stance on this. I agree most people wouldn't use it to dodge, but some would and i guess i am just for doing anything and everything to improve queue times.

I don't like the idea of seeing perk loadouts though, that would make survivors even stronger and they already seem to have enough going for them as is.

Im not going to insult you because i disagree with you. I prefer friendly or at the very least cordial discussions

It needs to go and they also need to change it so the killer can't tell if a SWF joins to help keep them from dodging. While we are at it, offerings should all be secret to keep people from dodging a possible mori. I think better queue times is more important than knowing the ranks. If as a solo survivor you get stuck with a 20, too bad, play your game and move on. Same goes for a killer that gets stuck with a 4 man swf, play and move on. You win some and lose some, stop trying to pick best case scenarios for yourself.

I agree with most of what you are saying. Especially the offerings. But you are quoting the minority of people on here about dodging lobbies. Most of the people here have stated they just want to know what they can expect from the people they are playing with. I have never dodged a lobby as survivor unless we were stuck at 3 for 10 minutes. And only ever dodged once as killer when 4 of the exact same blendettes with tool boxes popped up and i just really wasn't in the mood for it.

But survivors should be able to view offerings from other survivors as well as perk loadouts in the information menu in game. That sounds fair.

  • I played a couple games as oni and I think I was deceived at how basic his power seems. Like most killers his power will take practice to use. For instance when trying to do his smash, don't hold the attack button more than half a second. It's a tricky timing issue.

    Take some time

  • Lobby dodging will not go away just because the information from the 'bug' is taken away. And if the overall goal of a game is enjoyment, then wouldnt allowing people to search for ranks they would rather play with be more enjoyable for those people?

I would argue that a good portion, if not most survivors, don't really care about the ranks of the people they are going into game with?

But as a solo seeing ranks does affect perk loadout sometimes. Seeing a couple rank 18s means I'm either dying on first hook or getting farmed. So i play more carefully and bring DS.

  • To be fair, as an xbox player i had a patch of really bad lag which i think was my modem going out. Then everything was fine, really good actually, and now i only notice fps drops on killers. SOMETIMES chasing survivors looks like they are nurse blinking every other step. Others everything is fine.

Not sure how to tell on console what frame rate is at any given time.

  • I got it with Wraith without camping. And it was fun because i had never actually tried to herd survivors towards one side of the map. It took until the last 2 survivors before i got it but I played fair and was rewarded with a new strategy.

People just want to fly through these challenges the easiest way they can. That to me isn't fun. But to each their own.

  • Just use empathy. May not see killer but you will know when someone is injured and can guess if they are being chased.

  • @peanits No one wants this 'bug' removed. Please focus on other detrimental ones. On the list of stuff that needs fixing, seeing rank is probably the lowest bug on the list.

Not trying to sound like a jerk and i really do love this game. But as a solo player, that never dodges lobbies unless no one is joining, seeing rank is just a nice feature.

  • Changing out survivor perks is easier than changing killer perks. For me the only 'crutch' perk is spine chill. Closely followed by empathy. But i only have empathy on Claudette so i dont use it alot. I frequently change all my perks. For every game i wish i would have had DS. Theres 3 or 4 where having DS wouldnt have mattered. BT i don't use and never miss.

  • For pig, I'd like to see traps not dependant on generator completion but hooking. Once hooked the trap activates.

  • The grindy challenges should maybe be made more grindy but accumulate through the course of playing the game normal. Keep the master challenges as is. But rescue 25 people off hooks, and repair 25 gens shouldn't be one or the other.

  • You think that 'everyone' hates these challenges because of people with your opinion posting on the forums. That's confirmation bias.

Much like how you have 1 player every game or 2 'ggez' after a match and think the whole community sucks ass, when its just the squeaky wheel getting the most grease.

My personal opinion about the challenges is only that we cant work on more than 1 at a time. I feel most of the challenges are pretty fair through tome 2. I've been forced to use different perks and playstyles. Found some i really like. Some i don't.

Only once did i resort to asking for farming when i got red forest 3 maps in a row while trying to trap survivors. And that was mostly rng frustration.

I dont expect anyone to 100% agree with me and if i suggest something on the forums i don't expect that suggestion to be made canon. Devs have their vision for the game. Im sure they have perk and killer ideas already conceived for the next couple chapters. I would argue that some things are changed or not changed because of future plans. (My theory is that billy is going to get changed as ONI is pretty much the same thing just ONI needs gas for his chainsaw)

  • Freddy. Not because he's bad but i would love an add on that lets me play OG freddy. He was my first main when i started playing the game. Nee freddy just doesn't do anything for me. Haven't played him since he dropped.

  • As a solo player i whole heartedly approve of this perk change. Being able to know where everyone is and if anyone is going for the save. If killer is camping. Not having to rely on a random player running a perk to give me this information. This will probably be in every build except maybe meme builds for the foreseeable future

  • In some ways, legion is the easiest killer to pick up. Hear me out;

Most killers are almost identical with a few exceptions. They all have the same base power. Run and press m1. Rinse and repeat. What distinguishes killers is the power. Unlike many other killers, legions power is still just m1 just faster. No need to figure out what loops to trap, or rediculous equations to determine how high to throw a hatchet with no onscreen indication for either targeting or distance to target, no portal placing and certainly no blinking.

Legion, while I agree takes practice to master, is a basic m1 killer with a speed boost. To play him and do well you need to learn loops and maps and all the technical stuff that goes into juggling and map pressure.

Honestly, legion may be the best training killer of them all. Next to Wraith.

  • Going to be a nightmare for killers should all 4 run this. Prepare to get slugged constantly

  • I like epic exit but 10 seconds is too long. Maybe 3 seconds like dance with me

Good but I could just use Unbreakable and preform these actions. The hatch part is good but very situational. Give more incentive to use this over Unbreakable and less situational.

I can't really. They both do different things. Unbreakable is used through the whole game and is often gone by the time EGC happens. This perk lets you possibly escape while being slugged as the killer hunts the 4k. It's a completely selfish perk with 1 use for people who hate being slugged for the 4k. Though maybe remove the restriction that the killer has to close the hatch?

  • Survivors i usually run spine chill, empathy, sprint burst and fixated/plunderers/ds/or bt depending on my mood.

Spine chill is completely underrated. Empathy is map wide situational awareness. Granted someone needs to be injured but knowing someone is getting chased across the map makes my life less tense. Also knowing if someone is running the killer right at me further than 20 meters away is usefull also.

Sprint burst (dont have bl or lithe unlocked and dead hard i miss the timing with it all the time)

Borrowed time is good but i don't generally unhook near the killer. I think bt encourages bad plays on both sides. Sure the guy you unhook gets away but now you're on hook and killer gets positive reinforcement that camping is a good strategy.

DS comes in clutch once in awhile now that i can actually hit the skill check. Most times though, if theres an obsession i get slugged

  • If they keep adding maps with verticality people will still use it over lithe. Making it function like other exhaustion perks just adds to what developers can do map design wise.

Although lithe should make the first vault faster, and sprintburst should be faster at start and fade to normal running after 3 seconds.

  • I thought i would like demo but can't stand him. Which is a shame. Hes the first killer i saved up bloodpoints for and dont use him or any of his perks

  • Og freddy was my favorite killer. I know new freddy is 'better' but he's just not the same.

Leatherface and clown are my next 2 favorites i guess. I think the worse the killer is the more i like them?

I really want to git gud with huntress and nurse but just get so overwhelmed with how bad i do, especially nurse, i give up.

Still, we all have life goals right?

  • Definition of opinion

a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge:

Thus you really can't say somones opinion is wrong. For instance i can't stand Wraith. In my opinion, he is the hardest killer to play against. Id rather play against spirit. I know looking at the stats, im completely wrong factually. Doesn't change the fact that i hate the bing bong boy.

  • Recently found umbra on YouTube. Some of the throws she makes are insane. I know she uses some kind of pointer but still. I would love to have the patience to learn her half as well.

  • Honestly, you can't punish camping. It sucks donkey balls when it happens but there are legit times when it's the best strategy.

Also, insidious is an official perk that forces you to stand still to activate it. Not sure you can call hijacking the game when it's used.

Also, i run into campers periodically but if killers camped as much as these forums suggest then no player in the game would be beyond rank 16.

  • If all survivors are downed and there hasnt been a change in state of survivors like getting back up with unbreakable or picked up by killer or morid after 30 seconds, game ends, killer gets points as if survivors bled out. So nothing.

  • Spine chill and sprint burst almost never change. Just knowing that a killer is actually coming for me and not just walking by is great.

Also empathy is amazing. I like it better than bond because its map wide. Lets me know where the action i dont want anytjing to do with is at.

Last slot is a roulette slot between, DS, plunderers, inner strength or whatever i feel like playing around with. Probably kindred after the patch

Actually healing against the only is probably worse than staying injured.

Hitting a healthy survivor allows him to basically get nearly half his power

Yeah but staying injured allows him to build up his power as well as track you easier. Glowing blood orb auras and such

  • I think some people may run this when oni drops. Healing against him is going to be a must I think. So games may go slower and last longer? Possibly?

  • Just farm it. Maybe the only way. Kinda crappy but so are dcs just to spite

  • Killers goal is to sacrifice ALL the survivors. Many killers don't care but the ones that do are called 'sweaty' or 'try-hard' or worse for attempting to complete their objective.

Reverse it. Generators are done and killer hooks someone. Most survivors 99% the exit gates and go back to save the survivor. They are artificially extending the game to deny the killer their objective.

Haven't heard anyone complain about that. Some survivors leave but most at least attempt to get everyone out.

There's no difference between a killer trying to secure a 4k and survivors trying to get everyone out.

Only difference is survivors don't think it's fun to crawl around on the floor.

  • Slugging for 4k is the same as opening the exit gates and running back in to get all 4 out. Its just boring for the guy on floor

  • Just want to thank everyone for not being arses when responding. Doesn't happen much lol.

These were my first impressions. Glad to see im kinda wrong. Will definitely do more research so to speak.

Only reason you would have a high chance of winning in that map is the killer initiates a chase against someone with balanced landing at the start and he knows what he is doing then everyone should be gen rushing like a man man. Of course good killers shouldn't commit to that chase, maybe get rid of a pallet or two to create a dead zone then you chase the ones without BL.

I also play stealthy. And i don't try to mindgame the corridor pallets.

  • @Artyomich said:

Hawkin's is literally a death sentence if you go in there without balanced landing.

Im about 50/50 survival rate on that map withouy balanced landing. Most of the time even when i dont escape 3 to 4 gens were popped. Solo player also.

He's getting buffed, so I think we should just wait to see how the buffs work out.

I know his speed is increased and his buttons are changing. Deep wounds seems negligible now though

  • I like it to be honest. I agree some noises are too loud but all in all. It's surprisingly large with plenty of hiding spots. Some decent pallets inside the rooms not in the corridors. And it looks good. Also it's unique compared to the other maps.

  • Unhooking 4 people safely is hard to do. Not everyone likes to take protection hits. So what if you get a token for completing objectives you would normally do in game.

    1- unhook/protection hit

    2- pop a gen

    3- break a totem

    4- stun the killer

    5- open the gate

    6- search a chest

Maximum of 4 tokens but easier to get while doing what you are supposed to.

  • Fixated, UE, iron will, spine chill/premonition/distortion.

Zoom around the map without leaving scratch marks ever. No sounds when injured. And either no aura or derection to avoid killer.

  • Totem protecting spirit with prayer beads. Completed it 30 seconds into my first try. Then just play around to avoid hate mail

  • I remember using distortion against og freddy. Perk didn't last long after i was put ti sleep lol

  • Sprint burst help too. Especially if you don't reveal him and time your run right. You can dodge his swing which will break night shroud, cause his missed attack animation. Meanwhile you had 3 seconds of Naruto running to make distance. Sometimes, he'll just give up and not bother. Especially if you were on a gen with someone else.

Still though spine chill is an amazing perk against all killers

  • Yeah when clown and pig are making people disconnect there is a problem lol

  • Whenever a survivor dcs on me I always ask them why? Point out that they wasted their time and got no bloodpoints. Most of the time i don't get an answer. Once I got that the time and BP weren't that big a deal.

Still trying to understand the mentality.

  • Spine chill when you are a looping god is useless. For all the others who have not attained deity status though knowing if a killer is looking at you is such a useful piece of information. Especially for solo players who don't have the outside comms perk equipped.

Is adrenaline the better perk? Only if you make it to the end game. And only if you are injured. Spine chill is active all game. Nothing a killer does besides moonwalking everywhere (and if a killer can succeed while never looking where hes going then he deserves to win) can negate it.

Sometimes you run into the killer while trying to hide but most of the time it's a life saver. Better than iron will against spirit I think

  • If she doesnt have collision when phasing she should be able to phase through windows and pallets. At a considerable drain to her power

1 … 32 33 34 35 36 … 39
