  • Panda just seems like the nicest guy in the world. Always made me laugh watching him play. I wish i could help him with what he's going through.

Monto was my first....youtuber that i watched. He is definitely fun although somewhat irritating lately.

Tru3 not because his videos are entertaining, they really aren't, but he does a good job explaining things. Learned alot from him.

Noob3 is just hilarious. Im glad he's grown up a bit and started not being so toxic. While its fun to watch, i always feel bad for the killer.

Umbra. Just discovered her. I wish i could hit some of her hatchet throws

I dont know how this is still so hard to understand, Moris, add ons, keys, they are MEANT to skew the game in your favour, they are meant to make you "win", they are meant to give you a big advantage

Wether its fun something like that should even exists is a different conversation

Im not against keys, i just dont think you should be able to find them mid match in boxes. Think about what would happen if a killer could bring their best perks and add ons. Burn whatever map offering they wanted and then take 10 seconds to beg the entity for an item and get an eboni mori? Or if devour hope wasn't a hex?

I just think, if you want to use a key, great. Bring it in. If not don't expect one.

Maybe during egc if killer closed the hatch then there would be a chance to find a key. Maybe even make that a perk.

  • Took me 3 times. Died first to piggy. Then got 3 done agaunst nurse on yamaoka. I hate that map.

Got a diffferent nurse on crotus prenn and got it. Actually popped all 5 gens.

Ran dark sense, level 1 bond, spine chill and something else don't even know what. Yellow tool box, no add ons.

We all spawned together. 3 of us on first gen, no ruin. Popped went for number 2. Popped. Someone was hooked so 2 of us popped a third. I got chased and hooked. Denied healing and found a david doing a gen. Popped it. At this point i got healed and went looking for the killet. Found a box and a nea doing a gen. Grabbed a purple key and helped nea for the 5th. Debated looking for hatch but just went to exit gate.

In and out in 5 minutes max.

Now to kill everyone in the basement....

  • Made it as high as rank 3 laat season even though im crap in a chase. I would say i belong in purple ranks so that's where i am and im happy.

Would like to get to rank 1 at some point, just to say i did

  • I felt bad doing dark sense one. 3 games of gen rushing literally. When i got it, i managed to be on all 5 gens when they popped. Against a nurse, game was pretty much over in about 5 minutes. We hung around for some boldness points though. Apologized to poor nurse afterwards.

  • @boss if you feel so bad about it then dont stand in that spot. Go hunt the survivor down.

Im being somewhat sarcastic. I've recently converted to survivor main and door spots dont bother me much. Sometimes i get to escape and others i don't. I don't sweat it too much.

  • Disclaimer, i dont camp. That being said.

When a killer hooks a person, more often than not multiple survivors bee line to get the unhook. Often times without borrowed time, they get the unhook resulting in both the rescuer and the rescued being downed. Running kindred ive seen this way too often, even at purple ranks.

That being said, why WOULD the killer leave the hook? Why would the killer go somewhere else on a the map when statistically speaking, another victim is going to throw themselves at the hook anyway?

Beginner killers may not understand the pipping system and view kills only as determine a win scenario.

Or some killers are like the tbagging flashlight clicking survivor. They dont care what the other side thinks, as long as they have their 'fun'

As far as tunneling, ask any good player, and more likely they will say that finding and removing the weakest link quickly is the best play they can make, especially against coordinated teams. And since there is no in game way for a killer to know if the team is coordinated, many assume every team is swf on comms. I do.

That being said, the best gameplay for both sides usually happens at the detriment to the other. Yes the ideal game is back and forth 2k scenario. Not every game will be like that. Even though typically they are the best games imo.

  • @Xerge said:

    Probably Plague.

Most survivors don't heal, so you don't get to use your power which turns you into an M1 killer, but the instadowns are okay I suppose. However, the fact that they don't waste time healing also makes the survivors more efficient doing gens, which makes the game end faster.

I only seem have more fun with her when I'm using Black Incense in case survivors refuse to heal.

Thats funny i just ended a game against a plague who apologized cause my team kept cleansing.

But for me, i hate playing demogorgon and nurse. Demo is too clunky and nurse....i don't have the patience to deal with the survivors enough to learn her.

  • I just want to know how prevalent iri head huntresses are? They've been receiving all sorts of hate since spirit was confirmed to be changed. I mean as a rule huntress is incredibly rare. I may have seen 5 or 6 in the last 6 months. Maybe 1 or 2 iri heads since ive started playing.

Personally i like going against the 'unfun' things as a way to test myself and grow as a player.

    No worries 😁

Apologies for being blunt as its been one of those days!

English is hard I agree and I dont speak any other language apart from it lol, I respect anyone who speaks or writes in any other language other than their native tongue.

I'm a native english speaker lol. I just didn't read properly.

My bad... English is hard! 😝

  • @twistedmonkey said:

It's why I think the hook stages need a little look at.

Stage 1 you have a chance to get off but the timer only halves.

Stage 2 auto struggle is in place and after 30s you can give up if 2 or more survivors other than yourself is alive. If only 1 other is left you can give up instantly.

The whole point of not leaving early is to give the others a fair chance at escaping and personally I feel 60s isn't a lot of time to wait too sacrifice yourself. It's all about finding some middle ground while still allowing some strats like dying to give the hatch.

Its not 60 seconds. After 3 tries to get yourself off, you immediately go to struggle. So hooked, 10 seconds later you can be out of the game

For killers to leave while the match is loading up is DCing OR when they see survivors with certain items or a SWF group is quitting plain and simple because honestly what's going to stop it? Having teammates DC is annoying I will admit and getting into a lobby after waiting for so long just to have a killer say "Nope" is irritating as well.

Dcing while game is loading should be punished. But if you get into a lobby and don't want to deal with 4 blendettes with toolboxes and leave them for someone else, why should that be punishable? If the que system works as intended then another killer should pop up. If it doesn't and the libby glitches, then thats on developers not the killer.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/929285#Comment_929285

What he's saying is that dodging is also a problem, while DCs are majority survivor sided. It does happen by killers but no where near the amount for it to be causing a problem. While getting dodged creates a longer wait time for the person(s) dodged.. Because in my exp once the killer leaves the lobby, it normally bugs the lobby. Leaving the killer spot forever vacant and the system wont load another player. Ive Never had a killer dodge and another killer take their place. I have to leave the lobby and requeue.

Removing the leave button would be fine. If you really need to leave you and you don't know how to shut down whatever system youre on, you shouldn't be playing a game lol

That seems like a coding problem. If the game isnt hosted by killers and there is a 5 person lobby then if a killer leaves another one should take it's place. If it glitches that's something devs need to fix. You cant punish people for something that happens before the game starts that's caused by bad programming.

The only way to fix wait times is to either bring many many more players of all skill levels in. More people playing means, hopefully more killers and lobbies. Cross play between platforms may help.

Or remove rankings and let everyone play with everyone. Hopefully that won't happen.

  • @DBDIT said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/113604/thank-you-devs-for-doing-what-needed-to-be-done-in-the-end

Until they fix being FORCED out and new bugs EVERY single time they do an update then no. They have bigger priorities than people DCing. This also doesn't stop killers from lobby dodging. Let's not be one sided.

They weren't trying to fix lobby dodging. Completely seperate issue. They are trying to slow down the selfish crap that happens once the game starts.

I honestly wish they'd just remove the leave match button from the menu anyway. If you have an emergency and need to leave its just as easy to dashboard or power off.

  • I would rather they rework the totem system by weakening the hex perks and removing the totem part completely. Then find a new use for totems.

  • Its like i got morid just without the cool animation

  • @HellDescent said:

Whenever you get hooked for the third time you die, regardless if unhooked by another survivor or unhooked yourself

I unhooked myself which only happens on first hook state. Then was dead on hook next time skipping the 2nd phase

  • Yeah it was last second. Didnt know that was a thing.

    Thanks

  • If i were a survivor....hmmmm

Hatchet Man - You are tired of playing the victim, once per trial you can grab a hatchet from a locker. The next time the killer would hit you with a basic attack, you can dodge the attack and repeatedly hack into the killer. The killer is stunned for 5 seconds and is afflicted with deep wounds status affect.

Scaredy cat - You can climb trees or walls to hide from the killer.

Truffle shuffle - You can only face the clown in any trial. Also you and clown get in a belly measuring dance off. Loser concedes the trial.

  • Cant blame a challenge for people being stupid. I may be biased as spine chill is my one perk i never leave off. I didnt hide in a corner. I did 2 gens got 2 saves. Ran the killer for a minute or two. Normal game play.

Only tome 3 challenge i have left is unhook during egc. And thats cause no one opens doors!

And again, the same blablabla. Like I predicted.

You know, Survivors can do good, but still lose. Because you still are highly dependant on your Teammates. At least as Solo Survivor.

But yeah, I get it... ez Kills for the Killer. What they want.

You rely on your teammates good or bad because that's the design of the game.

EGC didn't come around because killers wanted ez kills, it came around to fix the hatch standoff and survivors hiding somewhere to the point the killer would have to quit to end the game.

Killers don't want ez kills any more or any less then survivors want free escapes. Everyone wants what's best for themselves, the other side be damned. Thats why there's no rants from survivors who escaped because the doors were to far for the killer to patrol.

I've been killed during end game, and I've had my share of endgame escapes. It all averages out.

  • I was doc on badham. Had noed and devour hope. Got 5 stacks pretty quick. Morid 1 and got cocky thinking they were a bad team. Last gen popped so downed and morid one. Devour hope broke mid mori. Thinking alright I'll just down and face camp. But they got all the totems so since I opened the door I was screwed.

  • Games do this all the time. Exclusive items for platform. Exclusive items for preorder. Exclusive items for going to an event.

Some of them are exclusive for a short time. Some of them arent.

Just because mobile has a set of skins that were just showcased with no information regarding the future, i dont see where the foundation for complaints come.

If you want the skins get the game. Other than that wait. Im sure they will be available for the global mobile release.

  • I myself have exactly as many tiers to go as there are days left. I havent finished tome 3 but i am close. I basically set me 'schedule' so that i average 1 tier a day. If i fall behind i grind a little more. I play almost every day but never thought i needed to finish it early.

Next archive, just make sure you do a tier a day and you will be fine.

  • If you look at the breakdown of otz's games he had kills ranging from 2 to 4. With all his hours and experience, he couldn't 4k every game.

Tru3, well lets just say the build he used absolutely works and is annoying to play against. Just got out of a match against it. The wraiths rediculous speed while cloaked combined with the perks is crazy.

Ultimately, it boils down to skill of the player. Yes some killers are better suited to getting multiple 4ks, but Wraith is considered one of the weakest killers and yet the skill of the person controlling him makes all the difference.

Not to mention, theres a huge disparity between skill levels of rank 1 survivor and rank 1 killer. I made it to red ranks as a solo survivor despite the fact that i cant run or loop to save my life. I did by staying hidden and doing gens.

You're the kind of killer I want to run into. Someone who will see a Dwelf and put on Santa Clown and have some fun with them lol.

Im on xbox so if you see a santa clown that doesn't try to kill you it may be me. Though to be fair if you run into santa clown and he is trying to kill you but failing miserably, it may be me too lol

  • @Gravewalker200 said:

But what I mean by none of those other emotes is like dances, though it would be hilarious to see a claudette and a myers break dancing in the haddonfield streets

Make the silly ones only available in kill your friends. Imagine the YouTube video advertisements when myers actually moonwalks down haddonfield, to be met by survivors lined up dancing with village people like cosmetics.

Or xmas clown and elf dwights dancing around Ormond. Good times!

As far as being silly, there is almost nothing actually scary about this game as it is so why not just have fun with it.

My favourite killer is trapper, after watching otzdarva is got a hell of a lot better with him without using whispers.

if I can get to rank one with trapper not using whispers, then you don’t need whispers

Killers can do their job with or without perks. Nobody NEEDS bbq but its run just for its utility. And trapper is one of those killers that doesnt need to find survivors quickly. Trapper wants to herd survivors to his already activated traps. If trapper is waiting until he finds a survivor to use his traps then he's most likely going to lose.

  • I did it with pharmacy and a brown med kit. No add ons. Easier than blinding a killer while they carry someone in red ranks

The 4 players do NOT have a common goal. My goal is for me to survive and your goal is for you to survive. Your goal is not for me to survive and my goal is not for you to survive

I've always played it as the objective is to get as many people out of the gate as possible. Sometimes it's not possible but i always try. I find anything else to be selfish. Won't call anyone out on it but that's how i feel

  • Im not good at looping a killer. I try and am getting better but really for my team, its better if im not being chased lol.

I usually do 2 gens solo every game. Get an unhook or two. Heal some people. I hide until i need to come out of the shadows.

I usually dont get hate messeges from other survivors unless i do something really stupid. Like automatically struggling and reading the forums when only one person was left and slugged on the hatch. I deserved that lol

Been running Bond, alert, spinechill and ironwill. Bond typically makes it easy to tell where gens are, if someone else is going for a save, ect. Also, if a survivor is fast vaulting and running in circles...its pretty obvious theyre being chased, lol. The range is enough to ensure I stay out of the guys way and vacate the area if hes about to use the spot im working in. Alert lets me know the killers location when far away, which areas are probably lacking pallets and often times at the beginning of matches...the identity of the killer.

I do like alert just don't have it unlocked. Also kindred is awesome but only have it in 2 survivors. Im a recent survivor player. Killer is too stressful sometimes. While i like a good challenge i play games to relax.

I think that's why i like empathy so much. Seeing soneone far away from me lets me know i can do what im doing without fear of getting grabbed off a gen or totem.

May have to play around with aftercare and bond some more. But i dont know if i can give up mapwide auras.

  • Actually, watching as survivors drop 17 pallets during a chase on the other side of the map means that if i do get in a chase, i shouldn't look for anything over there.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/904552#Comment_904552

It's not. The hatch spawns no matter what now. Who cares how many gens got done unless you are rocking a key.

The whole point of the hatch spawning was to stop the game from being held hostage when it got to a 1v1 situation. In fact, the whole reason for the hatch spawning is because it's not possible for a single survivor to complete the generators and open the door by themselves. Thus reinforcing the while team thing.

  • @Desolate_Sands said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/904336#Comment_904336

It's not a team game because the last person alive gets the hatch. Simple really. It's a free for all with an incentive to cooperate.

The hatch is their to prevent the last survivor from hiding for 20 minutes until the killer dcs.

By saying this isnt a team game, when you have 4 people working together for a common goal, you make the point that swf should he banned. As if its not a team game, why allow teams?

I play solo. But i know that if i don't help my team, i dont live.

  • Deliverance means you have to be a team player and rescue someone first. No team, no deliverance. As for keys, i have my own issue with them but yes they get you out regardless of your team. In this game the key is an insurance policy against your teams failure.

  • I play solo. And while highest rank I've made is rank 4, I think it would be impossible for me to singlehandedly complete 5 generators and open a door against even a mediocre killer.

The game isn't set up for a single survivor to complete all the objectives solo. You can do gens and be stealthy, but once you are found if you make a mistake you aren't getting away. Conversely you can run the killer around for 20 minutes but without a team to do gens you aren't escaping.

By design this game is set up as a team game there's no way around that. That's why coordinated teams have such an advantage over most killers.

  • Personally i turn my volume down until i load into a game. Especially if im spending a ton of bloodpoints at once

  • @DWolfAlpha said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/901786#Comment_901786

The only issue I can see with this is Oni. Maybe make it so no mither still gets you the first hit bonus for blood orbs, then we're golden.

I'd rather have a person down than blood to be honest

  • @DWolfAlpha said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/900345#Comment_900345

Hell, just have No Mither give you a constant exposed effect instead of broken. Then the killer doesn't immediately know about it, and you aren't constantly dropping blood orbs for the Oni.

Completely agree. Permanent exposed would do the same thing as broken amd doesn't put the permanent broken target on the survivor. Bloodpoint bonus' would make this a used perk not a meme perk.

  • Im fine with the timer on DS being 60 seconds, but if the killer manages to hook someone else before the timer runs out, it should deactivate. Theres a huge difference between actually tunneling and randomly finding the injured person after hooking someone else.

  • People started looping because they got tired of doing generators. Stealthy gameplay still exists. There's just certain situations where you need to abandon stealth for a time. You can still stealth vs doctor, just need to keep an eye on madness. Know when you are going to scream. Infectious fright is one of those things where if another survivor is downed, then you make a tactical decision to look for a different safe spot.

All in all, having counters to different playstyles is part of what makes the game fun. Being able to adjust your playstyle according to the situation is what makes you good.

  • Survivor perks need to be less powerful than killer perks. Whether you play solo or sad, the killer is always playing 1v4.

No single survivor should be as strong as the killer, thus no survivor perk should be anywhere close to as strong as a killer perk. Because giving 1 person a strong perk is ok, but usually strong perks get run by multiple survivors. Think current meta.

The last 2 months ive pretty much played mostly solo survivor. My loadout is usually plunderers, empthy, spine chill and sometimes DS and sometimes fixated or inner strength. And usually a brown medkit with no add ons. Im currently rank 4, and since I've hit purple ranks I've only not survived due to lag and me playing stupidly to do archive challenges.

Survivors don't need stronger perks, killers do.

  • Im on xbox and aside from a few fps drops, which is standard at this point, I've not had any major bugs. Havent hooked or been hooked in basement though so can't comment on that.

New map seems huge to me, but only saw it once as survivor.

1 … 31 32 33 34 35 … 39
