I'm not a toxic player , I want to know if the killer camp or where my partners drop palets , yo be ready to juke the killer ,or try to juke, the most toxic in the game is genrush , or repair gens with es strike in cooldown ... That's is toxic, or doing click click with the light , blind the killer while camping palets ... Nobody play with object of obsesion ... We are a reduce group or survivors that playing with object of obsesion ... Most of survivor don't have skill , waste a lot of palets , only genrush , I don't repair gens, only like to be follow by the killer , and I like to know the things what happen during the game, cause im soloq , tell me why Im toxic ?

From killer perspective, most OoO users are not solo players. They are in groups on comms. So killer has 2 options, tunnel down OoO and risk losing because of it. Or ignore OoO user and lose because of it. I try to play both sides equally and this is the only perk i refuse to unlock in the entire game. It's that broken and unfair for killer.

Personally i think it should function more like a killer instinct notification. Every so many seconds both killer and survivor get the killer instinct notification. It gives you map wide knowledge of where the killer is but not the over powered aura reading. That keeps it useful for solo and not broken for swf.

From their own most recent update: https://deadbydaylight.com/en/news/breaking-barriers-with-cross-play-and-cross-progression

"We are thrilled to announce that we are preparing the first steps toward Cross-Progression and that it will be available for Steam, Google Stadia and Nintendo Switch in September! Players will be able to share their progression, purchases, and inventory on those 3 platforms –   Exceptions might have to be made to accommodate for some external licensing needs."

Oh wow! so its actually not for ps4 and xbox cross play... interesting. atleast for now anyway. thanks for that

Yeah i remember them saying consoles werent a thing for cross progression. Forgot about the first part. Thanks zeidoktor!

  • @Zeidoktor said:

There is also cross progression planned between PC, Switch, and something called Google Stadia, so any Switch progress should, on theory, cross over to PC if you decide to change to it at any point.

I thought cross progression was still somethung they were working on but no idea when and if it will happen?

  • I used to get stressed and pissed off. I switched to survivor and stopped caring about escaping. As killer i just try to get better at chases or using killer powers. If i feel like my game is improving im fine. End screen results dont really matter

  • OoO needs to be removed to be honest. There are other ways to get the killers attention.

  • The other difference is moris have to be brought and thought out. Keys can be found mid match.

  • @KeiOrtem said:

Maybe something for like April Fools Day? Where all the sounds get changed. Vaulting is quacking, instead of a slice sound effect its a bonk.

Lets not mess with the sounds please. The chewing gum and duct tape holding the coding together can't handle it lol

  • I can see them removing the exhaustion add ons or making them dependent on longer ranges on huntress. Iri head will go bye bye.

If they remove long range shots I think many huntress players, the really good ones, will rebel. Hitting the long range ones is most of the fun.

Reloading cant change, as there are many dead spots as is on maps.

There really is no reason to change anything base kit on her

  • @Justalittlepeeck said:

I would revert her to pre 2.7.0 and make EGC stop/slowdown when a trap is on survivor + I would probably remove any sound cues from her ambush attack.

If I were to go deeper, I would rework her and repurpose her power.

    • Survivors start the trial with active RTB on their heads.
    • Death timer - 3 minutes.
    • Every time a generator is completed, 2 minutes are added to the death timer.
    • Timer does not stop under any circumstances, unless gens are finished.
    • When generators are finished, RBT timer stops and becomes inactive if the survivor is in chase.
    • When Exit gates are powered, Jigsaw boxes are manifested in the trial.
    • Interacting with any Jigsaw box would allow to remove RBT
    • Survivors can perform 2 kinds of interaction: slow and fast one.
    • Slow one is performed for 15 seconds, has 3 skill checks and is safe.
    • Fast one is performed for 2 seconds and damages the survivor by 1 health state once he finishes the interaction.
    • Once survivor has finished interacting with Jigsaw box, it disappears.
    • Secondary power: Ambush&Crouch
    • Crouching is instant and crouching speed is 95% by default.
    • Terror radius slowly fades away in 2 seconds.
    • Ambush attack becomes available after 2 seconds of crouching.
    • Ambush attack is performed in 1 second and has no roar cue.
    • Ambush dash range is 16 meters at 6 meters/second speed.
    • Hitting a survivor with ambush attack when he is interacting with an object would allow you to grab him.

If i read this right then the survivors have no choice but to rush gens to stay alive. Which is exactly the opposite of her power design.

    My thoughts

    3 minute base timer

    Traps active upon placement.

Gens that get finished remove 30 seconds from the timer

Timer pauses while slugged or hooked or within 16 meters of the pig

Unlimited traps or at least up the base number

Add on for global roar sound and one for no sound

    Blindness base for traps

    Dashing can vault pallets

  • The speed increase when throwing bottles? Many talked about it until this update dropped.

Clown has always been good and fun to some people. Hes just better now and a little less underappreciated

  • @[Deleted User] said:

He definitely is the cuttest. I mean, look at that blade!

    Beat me to it lol

  • Well i usually give last alive hatch or door. I never camp even to secure a kill at end game. Only tunnel OoO (purposely. Sometimes things get hectic). If i do come across someone recently unhooked and i down them i leave them.

And yet, most survivors dont appreciate it. Had a huntress game where i had 3 hooks before first gen was done. Then had 3 people on floor again before 1st gen popped. Went to other side of map and let them all heal. Let 2 gens pop before going after anyone again. Last person got hatch after zero more gens completed. Actually sent me a ggez. I ignored it but really?

Moral of the story, i extend chases some if it looks like im outmatching the survivors, but when they are downed they get hooked.

  • Honestly, keep everything as is or maybe lessen some of the percents and change it from generators completed to hooks. It will still be an endgame perk. But would be vastly more useful mid game.

No need to add movement speed.

Plus, i dont really like perks that punish one side for doing their objective. Changing it to hooks rewards the killer for doing their job not for survivors doing theirs

  • If i hang around the exit gates I will do 2 very slow crouches as a good game statement. If i find an item ingame and its a crappy one ill put it down in front of the killer.

I intentionally don't spam the crouch button as i dont want to be seen as tbagging.

    snare freddy is... f tier..?

i suppose we must agree to severely incredibly disagree.

Dont get me wrong, he is strong. My list is more about how much i enjoy playing the killer. Yes being able to get kills is a factor but snare freddy to me is so dull and boring. Especially when a 3000 point add on breaths so much life into the experience.

  • Im p3ing bill just for a decent cosmetic. Zarina previously was my only prestiged survivor. I was very disappointed. She needs some love.

  • Part 3 is awesome but hes like a comedian. Not scary at all.

More people fear clowns than Freddy.

Are we both playing the same game?

I meant like in real life coulraphobia is a really big fear. Is anyone really afraid of Freddy after the first movie?

  • @Valor188917 said:

There was no nerf to genspeeds so what are you talking about.

There was but only for multiple people on the gen. Mostly was sarcasm in my gen nerf statement

  • Why play clown?

    Better laugh than Freddy.

Bottles make survivors scream which is always a fun time.

Easier time finding immersed blendettes. Just launch bottle until you hear the screams. Ir the intoxicated scoring event pops up.

More people fear clowns than Freddy.

    Better theme music.

Less likely to be dc'd on.

Better cosmetics...or just actually having cosmetic options.

    Will almost ALWAYS be underestimated.

No teleport but who cares! The nerf to gen speeds makes teleporting and super speed obsolete anyway!

Rank 2 dcd on 1st down 10 seconds before i popped last gen. Killers first down.

I agree with a lot of this. If I may add my opinion for conversation :)

Trapper - c tier - *Agree. Pissed he is the only killer/survivor I haven't got the Merciless/adept with. There is no pressure. He isn't fun to play or go against. Wish his traps could be c4 instead. Sticky on the wall and wait for a survivor to run past. I'd even laugh as a survivor if I took c4 to the face.

Wraith - d tier - *Agree. Not impressive. He can be seen easily, he's slow, misses hits, and is used a lot as a tunneler. Wraith could use a rework imo.

Billy - c tier - *Neutral. A good Billy is challenging, a bad Billy is a fast match. Playing Billy is easier than Nurse but still not something I wanna take time to learn.

Nurse - f tier - *Agree-ish. I tried her and okay. She isn't bad but she is definitely the hardest killer imo because of her blinking. I struggled hard with it.

Hag - b tier - *Agree. I was a Hag main for the longest when I was a killer main. When you got a good Hag the match is challenging and fun. I had a lot of fun with her.

Doctor - a tier - *Disagree only because of my survivor main status. I loathe going against Doc. Not because he is hard but because hiding in lockers more frequently, because static requires a mad dash, and because I hate how other survivors on my team never bother to hide and always end up getting sacrificed early on.

Huntress - a+ tier - *Agree 100% Huntress is my favorite.

Myers - c tier - *Oof Disagree. I love playing and going against Myers.

Spirit - b tier - *Agree. I use headphones and get at least 3/4 with her every time. I think she is a must for headphones and that Nurse perk I forget the name of rn. A lot of hate gets thrown at her but she is harder to play than Fred imo and always ends up getting a good outcome. It comes down to predicting survivor movement mostly (again, imo)

Clown - s tier - *Disagree but I never been a big fan since his release. Ad a survivor main, he is annoying to play against.

Legion - d tier - *Agree. Just boring to play and go against.

Plague - f tier - Agree. Outdated, no pressure, no coverage, hit box with the vomit is shameful.

Pallet Freddy - a tier- *Agree Freddy misses some hits though that should never be missed.

Snare Freddy - f tier - * Disagree, I'd go S. Freddy is a beast. I think they checked every box when they reworked Fred and he'll get a solid 3/4 every match.

Bubba - B tier - *Did agree, not anymore because he is being used heavy as a camper lately.

Ghostface - b tier - *I'd put him at D tier, he's a meme and really easy to go against. His Mori is really lame too.

Deathslinger - b tier - *Agree but I enjoy playing him if/when I feel like dealing with being a killer.

Demo - c tier - *Agree but going against a good demo's is really, really fun.

    Oni - f tier - *Agree

Pyramid Head - c tier - *Unfortunately I agree and I am a Silent Hill fan. This was a disappointment.

    You forgot piggy too!!! Lol.

I think ive played 1 game as snare Freddy. Yes snare freddy is probably better than pallet Freddy but i just love playing with and against the pallets. I did think people would disagree with me on that one.

Thanks for contributing! Im glad to see im not that far off.

  • @SloppyKnockout said:

Tier lists should be made by killing potential of the killer and their power. Not the killing potential of the person playing the killer.

I disagree. Nurse is arguably the best killer in the game. Huntress is one of the best killers in the game. Ive watched people wipe the floor with demo. I can barely blink in a straight line as nurse. Oni is a lost cause for me. Whatever a killers skill cap is, to me many of them are just boring and/or i suck with them. Thus s tier nurse when i play her is f tier.

  • @Cheers said:

My main didn't even make the list 🙃

  • So after googling scp, i find the theory very interesting. Maybe not as a chapter but as observations logs. No reason the entity wouldn't be known to that organization.

  • @brokedownpalace said:

    ######### is SCP?

    I second this question lol

  • Had a match where i spawmed by a gen. An Adam spawned with me and told me to follow him. He ran us right by a Myers who im guessing just loaded in and started stalking. He hit tier 3 and downed me and the notification that he hit tier 2 never even sounded.

I chalked it up to being so early in the game the map was still loading and didnt have time to update

  • I was using it in huntress but hated HAVING to use the perk. Took it off and it definitely messed with my aim. I also miss feeling like 115 killer but ups and downs i guess

  • Yeah thats good for purple ranks to rank up. Ive been very surprised at the end of some matches that i expected to depip and actually pipped.

  • Clown throws a bottle. Gas stays for 60 seconds. Any survivor inside gas suffers penalties to all actions. He can have 4 clouds at once. This would let him block off a gen or loop for a minute and allow him to go somewhere else why protecting an area.

Yeah, best thing to say, right? "You are new, i know better after 2000 hours and that's why my opinion is superior." And you know what? I'm not new. 50 hours is enough of my time investment in one game. I'm new with 5, maybe 10. Also i will never waste 2000 hours on that game. And i will not waste time to watch some streams. If game like this cant give enough feedback to player, it is badly designed. Simple as that. Lets be honest here, this is not MMO, roguelike, flight simulator or any other complex idea of a gameplay. Its simple.

Anyway, i know how this perk work. Don't treat me this way.

Also you should learn how to read.

...it is like talking to a brick wall over here. :-/

I don't have problem with perk, i know how it works, I DON'T KNOW THEY HAVE IT SO I CANT REACT TO IT.

Damn, it is really so hard to understand?

Let me put it this way, following your logic - You guys should always expect someone could sneak behind you and slap your head with baseball bat. You can duck, so you should be ducking all the time to prevent this from happening. And when i finally sneak behind you one day and hit you like that, you cant be mad at me, because you should expect i will do this, so it is your fault for not ducking this one time in the right moment.

So, everyone here has been really nice and have attempted to be really helpful. So now you get angry with us. I dont have 2000 hours in the game. I have less then 1000 to be honest. And the fact that im still learning things shows just how absolutely wrong you are about the complexity of this game. Simple concept but difficult to master. Like chess. Speaking of, tell anyone whos played chess as more than a hobby that you have 50 hours and are now a pro. See what they say. They'll laugh at you.

You are mad at the game because you dont feel the need to put the time in to learn. Your loss. Instead of bitching at us because you are too entitled to practice and put effort into the game, go play something else.

Yes this game does not give away information freely. Ask football coaches if they give the other team the playbook before a game. In Pokémon or magic the gathering, do you look at the opponents hand to make sure there are no surprises?

Nope. Its pvp not a hand holding competition.

And as much as i hate to say this phrase, GIT GUD

  • I would have to messege killer and explain myself if i went for the adept

  • @VSchmitt said:

I've got some survivors buttdancing my tombstone piece meyers (wich as some should know, regress to early EW II when you kill someone) just to cry in post-game chat that they got insta-moried.

I played addon less myers and only perk was territorial imperative. 1 escaped through hatch. Was told by one of the dead that i was horrible and that i abused my killer power. I agreed with me being bad, (it was a bill that kept 360ing me and i couldn't hit the baatard) but asked him how i could abuse my only power?

    Still waiting for that answer.

  • @Toybasher said:

Well survivors told killers to just adapt with the influx of insta-heals, insta-blinds, and BNP's when changes were announced to them.

    So just deal with it.

I will say I have over 500 ebonies across my killers. I doubt I'd be using them all but if I wanted to use them I have enough moris to bring an ebony every game for a very long time.

Which is my point to be honest. Many of the survivor only players that complain about things have zero idea of the hell killers could unleash if they all decided to do so at the same time.

I would argue more killers collect ebony moris than use them. However, anytime there is something that is going to get changed, people use it more.

Usually its when a killer gets add on changes. And that's fine as not every killer plays every killer. But EVERY killer has ebony moris. And survivors can be really really annoying at times lol

  • @Talmeer said:

Moris are getting nerfed? For real?

Ha! I had always thought that the killer buffs in the past will have a price. I am curious what comes next.

Peanits confirmed they are on the list of things to be looked at. Along with keys.

My guess would he huntress soon after next chapter. She's the only one left without proper add on distributions

  • Ahem. Zarina wants to say that the taste on these forums is disgusting.

  • @Marcus said:

I guess you could take a break from DbD for 2-3 weeks when that happens.

    Or play killer.

I play about 50/50 the 2 roles. This most likely wont bother me too much, i was just making a point.

  • @HommeBizarre said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/169204/nerfs-to-mori-will

I remember the day they said they will change the moris so we have to hook the survivors before being able to mori them

Almost every matches there was a mori

I wasmt around back then. I just know that ive been playing for roughly 2 years and i have never had a problem or issue with moris. Even the rare times i get morid off first hook.

I understand the hate for them even as i habe never experienced the hate.

  • @PrettyFaceKate said:

They simply won't announce the change. Same with keys.

You are probably right. But knowing behavior, they will totally announce it, then the bloodwebs will be bugged and nothing but ebony moris will show up in killer webs. Good times lol

  • I actually think blind is underrated. But i play solo so it really affects my games. 3rd seal is incredibly strong to be fair.

Of course i havent played as PH enough to really have a full grasp of his addons. But 60 seconds isnt a very long time, especially since unless you actually use the cages, theres no way to reapply the torment correct? Or am i completely wrong on how the effect actually works?

I'm on PC and instantly get into games as survivors yet wait up to 10 minutes for a game as killer

Its because of the event. Many people playing killer now because easier blood points.

    @Mat_Sella said:

If people are trying to use their mori's before they are changed, that only further validates how broken they were in the first place.

Irrelevant to the discussion. They are strong which is why they are getting changed in the first place.

  • @Speshul_Kitten said:

They will change them without a forecasted announcement much like they did to syringes and styptics in the PTB

Ptbs are 2 to 3 weeks before updates. Plenty of time to use up all a bunch of moris

  • Not sure if this is a rule but, if you hook a survivor and remain on the map, you are camping.

  • @CertArn said:

Damn, you guys are missing the point.

First of all, where did i write B&C is OP? I guess nowhere. Perk alone is fine.

Second, lockers are not good "advice" just because some random thing (i didn't know about) can be randomly countered. It is not a lottery.

Gameplay expect me to hide from a killer, right? But i can't do this without knowing what to expect. Against LF i know he will have it so i'm more mobile, just like i'm aware of Huntress axes when i run like a madman always trying to stay behind some tree or something.

My point is - I DON'T KNOW WHY I CANNOT HIDE FROM A KILLER.

And on top of that that's why gameplay overall is badly balanced, because devs cannot balance everything with everything. It's impossible. And those perks will pile on giving us more and more broken combos. There is a reason why all red ranked players have similar perks. Buffing or nerfing will not work, because one perk will be replaced with another from this pile.

Maybe i'm low level, and you are on rank 5 or higher, but guess what - you are 10-20% minority here. From my gameplay experience 50% of killers have B&C. On higher levels maybe it is a waste of perk slot, but on lower not. It is unfair.

I don't even have problem with infamous NOED, because when gates are opened players know what to expect.

You are new. Everyone here has been new. One of the most exciting things for me when i started out was learning what perks others were running. Everytime i was able to determine in game what i was going against, it felt good. I felt like i was making progress. Learning.

My best advice for a mew survivor i can give, is to play killer. The experience of being on that side, offers so much information. You get to learn about killer powers, perks. You get to see how survivors counter your perks. You see how hard it is to hide behind a tree unless you are a blendette.

Also watch killer gameplay. Some streamers go out of their way to teach things. Tru3talent, int3ract, skorpionz, even monto and puppers are really good.

This is a notoriously hard game to learn as a beginner. It almost goes out of its way to not hold new players hands. For me, that was fun part.

  • Well hell lol. I completed that rift too. I hate that character so much i guess i blanked it out of my memory!

The future is brighter! Thank you!

  • Ive come to accept blendettes as a necessary evil that cant ever be removed due to cosmic balance and universal continuity. Much like death and krispy kreme donuts. Because the god/gods are fickle and enjoy tormenting mortals.

Doesnt mean i like them but i can accept them.

However jane is my least favorite character just because of her voice. It gets under my skin so bad, there are times i will purposely not go after a Jane as killer.

And i will always trash can any jane daily. Really not looking forward to her archive

  • Franklins change doesnt change keys at all. Or at least the biggest problem with keys.

All they need to do is change chests where skeloton keys dont spawn and purple opens for one person. Keys are now more fair. Less RNG determining the out come of a match. Especially a very close match.

  • Updated after 10 games, 5 Myers, 2 ph, 1 clown 1ghostface 1 Billy.

    Why so many stabby bois?

1 … 14 15 16 17 18 … 39
