I have always said legions lack of lethal power makes him great for newer killers who dont mind struggling a bit before improving.
Thing is, most survivors survive by looping around objects during a chase. Thats why killers who dont care about loops are hated or considered 'boring' to go against.
Legion can get good first hits. Can find other people after they hit someone. After that legion relies on 2 things. Map knowledge and mindgame skills.
Doing good against good teams means knowing how to loop and run all the different tiles in the game. With that comes ability to mind game.
Playing legion forces you to perfect your basic skills rather than perfecting a power.
There are easier killers to play. Yes. But learning to do good with legion allows you to do great as other killers. Doing well as Freddy doesnt help you with anyother killer.

Blight is okay on Haddonfield. His power is terrible once people go in buildings, but once survivors have to run along those terrible fences? Those spots are Blight City for easy hits. I've found I can even 180 to the opposite side of a fence by bouncing off a fencepost and repositioning before starting my next rush. It just takes skill and practice, which in all honesty Blight needs a lot of to begin with.
I think people forget that Blight is still a 115 killer even with his power off. If you're in a spot where you can't use your power just chase normally and you'll either catch them or drive them somewhere that's more favorable to your ability.
Yeah its just haddonfield. They all split up on different gens. Managed 1 hook thanks to tinkerer. Spent the last gen and egc rushing around the outside of the map. Im not a great killer to start with but that map and my dozen games as blight just couldn't handle it.

I used to work with a guy who was i shall say slightly crazy lol. Actually he waa just very opinionated amd disagreed with management constantly.
He voiced his complaints and argued about everything. And such he was ignored or punished. He was never fired and he retired after close to 40 years.
Talking to my boss one day, a man who seemed to do everything in his power to make the complainer miserable, and he told me that he fully agreed with almost every one of the complainer's....complaints? But that his attitude was so bad it was immediate walls up and argument.
I bring this up mainly to say that words have meaning but so does inflection. Complainer guy would have been much more successful if he would have apporached with a different manner.

Devour hope. Its the perfect hex perk. High reward at the cost of being removed. But oh so satisfying when it doesn't get destroyed.
As survivor it adds so much tension when that 3rd token is revealed.
Its just plain great.

Most of them are underrated...
Hangman's Trick is a joke (adding longer Sabo would go along way)
Hex: Retribution is good if it's destroyed ( but without another Hex being used Survivors will ignore it)
I'm All Ears is good but has a kinda long cooldown
BBQ the best aura reading perk
Hex: Undying suffers from the same thing as Hangman's Trick
Lightborn has aura reading now doesn't
Disagree with bbq being the best. If it werent for blood points i doubt it would get run on anyone but MAYBE huntress or Freddy. The aura reading has too many workarounds.
Im all ears is a nice one but i agree that the cool down is too long.
Zenshin tactics is underrated the same way windows of opportunity is. Very helpful for newer players.

Either way I'm leaving the forums if they decide to do a licensed killer archive with no ways for people who dont have that character to complete the challenges. The backlash will be insane.
-
Survivors will play different when they know you arent going to m1. At least from what i experienced when trying to learn her.
Im still not good with her despite thinking Shes the best character/killer in the game.
She really is much more than just learning to aim. Also dont use any addons that affect windup time or cool down. Learning timing is super important.
-
If you want to get tunneled then go for it. Otherwise then don't ever run it
-
Just ask them, "if 4 of you were about to escape, would you stay behind and die?"

As the title says this mission is quite something. Wish I had a screenshot, but all I can do is provide the details as best as I can. So one game I was playing the doctor, lets get straight to the point thay I nailed 6,300 point for deviousness and yet the mission only added 630. Is there something I am misunderstanding or maybe I just need to look into more details on the emblems. Please do let me know and share your experience if you have the same issue.
Some killers are bughed with this challenge. Try someone else. I havent had a problem using deathslinger and ghostface.
-
I got it solo q. Commited to a gen when killer ran another off. Ghostface came back after hooking to kick the gen but i was hidden by his approach. Got it and ran like hell. Then the group was being really altruistic so gens werent popping. I 99'd the gen ran to the killer like I was going to get an unhook and let him chase me back to the gen. Popped it and that was my 3rd hook. It was 2nd to last gen and i think 2 more got out. I was happy.

Excellent suggestion, @csandman1977. I think that's where they should start. It's absolutely ridiculous how long this grind is, especially if you're a completionist. Honestly, sometimes it feels like the trials are just a mini-game that you've gotta play in order to "play" the bloodweb. It's crazy the lengths players will go to to get the loot. I think that's the point though; like @Xbob42 said: to "maximize player retention..." in whatever way possible. This is why I only have a handful of maxed out characters. This makes playing new characters (especially Killers) very challenging. Sure, I can play (almost perkless) Spirit or Nurse and do okay but I know it's just handicapping myself.
Which reminds me... BRB, I gotta go grind some perks.
Even if they reduced 1 tier from perks, thats still 97 bloodwebs at level 50. And at roughly ~60000 points a web that is still 5,820,000 blooodpoints

Yes, I do the same thing as you, I don't like to extend matchs too much. But lets be honest, you probably have made a lot of victims by slugging survivor in the past for the 4k glory. Every player that has the real 50/50 for both sides have done that.
Can honestly say that unless i visually see the last survivor i have never slugged for 4k.
-
Id be happy if all they did was remove tier 1. It would cut the grind by a third. 146 survivor perks is still alot but much more managable.
That would be 143 webs. Per character.

I dont care about points just kill me faster so I can just g to another match and get away from here where I'm not even playing
I feel better if i can take some points away from a killer.
They could change it to work like hook states. If all survivors are in the dying state and fully recovered, the game ends.
-
Bleedout timer is 4 minutes not 10.
It sucks but when it happens to me i try to crawl and hide. I make it a game to see if i can avoid the killer long enough to bleed out. They get less points that way

So the logic is: The event wasn't as exciting as I had hoped, so I am now mad at the devs. To spite them I will not buy cosmetics I was previously fully planning to buy and/or stop playing the game... and that's supposed to be the case for enough people that no one is going to have these skins and the art team is going to feel let down?
Some people might feel that way but this is very exaggerated lol. It's definitely not an exciting event, but unless you're having the frame rate issues that some on console are the game is pretty much the same as ever. Only real differences are the new rift and more BPs available in matches, which are both positive changes.
A yearly event should be twofold. A way for the company to make money and also a way for the company to thank the players for keeping them employed.
This event fails miserably. The extra bloodpoints are negligible as I need over 50k blood points to maybe find a postula offering to maybe get an extra 3k.
The in game postula flowers are limited to 3 per person. So no more blood points there.
They seemed to have skipped the appreciation part of this 'event'
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Not sure why the event is ruining their hard work. I'm sure many people will buy and enjoy the skins they made. If people didn't buy them, the prices would not be so high.
I also don't see how the event has to do with anything. New skins are constantly released at high prices and the complaints are not nearly this loud.
The problem has nothing to do with 'overpriced' cosmetics but with how the 'event' itself is conducted. Many players, including myself are not going to spend another dime here.

Art team always does amazing, sadly the skins will barely see sales/use. I've been playing since the event started and i've yet to see anyone use any of the new skins (killer and survivor), and im not buying them either, they look amazing but im not gonna support the greed of the devs
I agree. In fact I definitely would have bought the legion skin with cells had it not been for this 'event'. Wont use shards either as I need them for future dlc. (And I bought every dlc with money twice except oni)

Was a time that i would spend an entire day playing this game. Now its 4 to 5 games and i move on.

We really did get the shaft this 'event' lol

Honestly wouldn't mind were it not for the stretched resolution, and increased brightness as that's being cheaty and uncool
Besides that I don't really see where people are all boiling up about. Its not like the squad had rushed the gens and then spent the next 10 minutes farming him, they were just messing about and eventually all died. The greatest "crime" they did was that it could have been boring for the killer, but that's a stretch to say given that we don't know what the clown player was thinking only what we think detached from the match
I mean in comparison to some of the genuinely toxic stuff I've seen players do, this is pretty much nothing. There was no real malice just a bunch of players messing about. I just think people need to chill out and stop being watchdogs all the time
Exactly. My whole point was that i would enjoy a chill game like this rather than a 5-6 minute sweatfest.
I can't speak for the clown, and im not trying to. Just speaking for myself

"You want to report them"
And thus this line means you weren't actually reading my posts as I flat out said its not report worthy.
You also ignored me pointing out winning =/= fun as that's a logical fallacy called the "False Equivalence Fallacy"
I have no further reason to respond if I am going to be actively ignored.
I agree winning doesnt equal fun. However a match like this, while i wouldn't want to see it every game, to me would be fun. No sweating. No worrying about gens. Just chase down rinse repeat.
It's a farming match. Just more entertaining.

This is the only thing from him Ive seen. Not plugging anything.
Whole point is i either get swat teams or noobs. Very rarely do i get anything about my skill level. Killer is not fun. Going against a team that isnt trying to win but is actively engaging in what many see as the most fun part of the game, the chases, would be great. The stuns are annoying yes but id rather that then flashlights.

Honestly, the number of jumpscares I've had as killer because a blendette or meghead, or steve camped god pallet when I was approaching, is insane...XD
I think its funny that survivors produce more jumpscares than killers
-
Shredder from teenage mutant ninja turtles.
April as survivor.
-
As a blendette with a key, i wait for someone to be at shack then drop the pallet and urban away. Keeps the pressure off me! /s
-
Obviously they would add Chuck as killer.
In all seriousness though, I am not sure they have had a big baddy noteworthy enough t I be killer that wouldnt be too powerful for the game. Hitler maybe? Lol.
Unless they go with death or one of the horsemen. They could have a terror radius effect like they did in the show.
-
I think the biggest problem with this game is the hook mechanic. Giving survivors limited lives limits the power level of the killer.
Imagine this killer roster in a game where survivors werent eliminated by a bubba staring at you on a hook for 2 minutes.
What if instead of fixed objectives there were scoring events for both sides. Like killer would have to kill as many as they could in ~10 minutes. Each kill adding a point to the tally. Survivors would have to work together to repair gens, find some objects, cleanse totems, sabotage hooks which would be changed since hooking isnt the main killer objective.
Moris wouldnt be auto dc. Camping wouldnt exist. Tunneling would be harder since random respawn points.
Maybe the tension of knowing you are about to lose would go away, but the ability to be jump scared could go up. You could remove heartbeats. And redstains.
I dont know. I just think killers need to be more powerful but in terms of the game itself now they really cant be.

Power ranger skins for survivors
Ghost Myers from original movie
Smurfette skin for Kate

Yoga shorts clown
Summer deathslinger with a water gun
Sexy Mrs clause for plague
Also
Swimsuit calendar plague...hell all characters!

BBQ and Chill - Life as a killer is lonely. Equipping this perk blocks all generators and totems for the entire trial. Any map with a killer shack spawns a couch, a 70/90/150 inch flat screen TV, and a fridge. All survivors spawn with you and together watch chick flicks, eat ice cream, give each other manis and pedis, and style each others hair.
A super king waterbed and disco lights spawn in the basement.
Reduces the chances of spawning a map without a killer shack by 100%
Flip-Off - The first perk equippable for both sides. Pressing the active ability button allows you to flip the bird at your opponent. If you have been flipped off successfully, yoy immediately fall to the ground a cry.

Unless in order to reduce the “cheese” he was referred to in game as “The Dragon” or “The Impaler”.
They could use the actual vlad the impaler.
His weapon could be a spear. Turn into a bat for mobility. Gain power as he hits people somehow. Maybe movement speed or something that resets on hook.
His mori could actually be to impale someone on a spear and for the rest of the game the dead person can be seen upright on the spear for the rest of the trial.
The map could be a cemetary with a gothic castle in the background.
Could be really really creepy

I actually had an idea, or rather an addition on top of an idea that I heard before that I actually thought was pretty interesting that answers (at least partially) a few different issues at once. Addressing problems like generators being rushed too quickly, and providing survivors with new objectives that switches up some stale gameplay (or at least stale objectives).
I think many of us have heard the idea of having missing parts from generators. It was an idea created to prevent survivors from rushing two or three generators at once in the beginning of the match when a Killer has no pressure, is busy setting up, or just couldn't find or catch anybody for any particular reason. So you have a generator you want to fix, you need to find the corresponding part that generator is missing which is somewhere on the map, pick it up and attach it on the generator before you can start repairing. You cannot begin repairing generators without the corresponding part that they're missing.
It's a decent idea especially for what it is intended to do. Prevent nightmare scenarios of one or more generators popping at the start of a match when chases haven't even begun yet. Other than this it sounds like a great way to shake things up, give survivors a bit more to do, and slow down the fast from the get-go pace of the game. Although I think it falls a bit short of making the game engaging, since it creates the possibility where that just becomes a pre-game stage, where survivors don't do gens but instead find all the parts and attach them to all the generators before repairing anything, and then afterward DBD v1.0 of just doing generators and nothing else that's different really happens or changes later throughout the entirety of the rest of the match. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe it's a perfect and solid idea most everybody can get on board with but here's how I would change it:
Instead what I think should happen is move this requirement to the 50% mark of generators, so after you've repaired a generator half-way you're hard-capped. The generator can't be further repaired until you get the necessary part that it's missing. What this does is it shifts the emphasis on changing and slowing down the early game and more just the overall gen. rush. This provides the killer with a short window of opportunity to defend and regress the generator before the part gets to the generator. The part only appears after 50% of the generator has been repaired, at which point even if the generator is regressed the part can be installed whenever so that the generator can be finished and fully repaired.
7 generators on the map total so there are 7 different parts that will be created, each has a different animation for installing them. Instead of the traditional normal "hold Mouse 1" of Dead By Daylight fashion, the process for installing these parts will be Among Us inspired-styled mini-games and puzzles, since there's only seven they'll likely be more complicated and take more time, but don't worry about being expected to to finish a super lengthy or complicated task they should be somewhat more or less straight forward and not be super time consuming.
Of course the option is always open to make these traditional normal "hold mouse 1" actions if people are more comfortable with that, but I figured that this would be far more interesting and appealing to players who want to switch things up after years of holding m1 already.
If a survivor carrying one of these parts is downed, I'm caught between deciding whether or not the part is consumed by the entity and re-placed in a different part of the map, or if the part stays where it is, tumbled out of the survivor's grasp and laying there on the ground wherever their body fell.
Anyway, it's just an idea I think is really interesting and worth looking into to switch things up in the fog.
I feel all skill checks should be replaced with mini games. Or at least at 25% intervals. Add tension. Like i know im going to have to do a mini game, but where is the killer? For a couple seconds you wont be able to see anything but the mini game.

They should put something similar in DbD and call it "The Rift".
No because the rift forces challenges that change the way you play. Its also time limited and many times for characters you never play.
Im saying reward people for just playing. No 5 million bloodpoints grind. Just play to play.
