  • Survivor - WGLF, Resilience, FTP, DH. I use FTP for a insta heal on a teammate and to injure myself for my resilience. Sucks when thana in play tho.

Killer well I like different ######### on different killers. There are maybe 3-4 perks I find universal STBL, Pop, Corrupt, Infectious. Only 4 I would run on anyone. Not saying I do though.

Pig - This depends on the type of survivors I have been getting recently but it usually consist of two builds.

M&A, STBL, Corrupt, BBQ My normal pig.

If I am playing a lot of teams that are spreading out and on 3-4 gens at once this build I have tremendous success with.

M&A, Sloppy, Dying Light, BBQ/corrupt with extra trap and box. Throw 2 traps on the obsession to counter there buff from dying light. You get slowdown at beginning/mid-game (traps, corrupt, sloppy) and when all that said and done you should have at least 4-6 hooks thats 12-18% healing, sabo, and repair debuff from DL to finish them off.

Huntress - I have ran the same build forever whether it's a 5 gen slaughter or a great team dead with 1 gen left the build never fails me.

Corrupt, BBQ, Nurses, Disco. If I were to ever switch anything it would be disco for prolly I'm all ears or Iron maiden. Might try one day but if not broke don't fuk with it.

Freddy - I mean you can pretty much a lot of things and be fine. I have done great with gearhead so ya. However the survivors at my rank run the top flight ######### so guess what I am to here my Fred.

Pop, BBQ, Disco, Brutal never fails me except the lucky hatch escape once in a while. When you get a hook either BBQ or disco with show you what gen to pop and that's ok it no more free or brain dead than tapping a button to dodge a attack. Brutal is to eat the pallets they will be throwing left and right if you use your snares properly to shutdown the loop.

Honestly at the rate that the developers are giving Killers add ons that are literally useless - new or reworked Killers - and changing Survivor add-ons to be somewhat similar (toolbox repair noise reduction etc) I would have expected them to give us a ‘resell’ hand-in-hand with it.

I never held my breath about it though.

It would really help with prestige. Sell your whole inventory to get some levels next prestige

  • @Judgement said:

Perks should have no tiers and the T3 be the base effect. This would massively cut down on grind and the RNG factor of getting perks that you want, or even need.

Yes or at the very least let us recycle unwanted items/offerings at half/third of the price. That would help tremendously as well.

  • Ya it's been like this for a while but I think it's better. Why would I want 20 perks at tier one? This way it work now my killers at level 20 may only have 10 perks but there at tier 2 or 3. My demo had tier 3 STBL at 15 this run through.

I feel like you made this post just to say this. Huntress is in my top 3 and she is P3 50 and I liked the idea of 1 hatchet or 3 even but I said alright nows the time to try these and run them. I had 1 iri head cause I avoid them in my web like mori's. My iri head is the babushka can't live without it the other I might run glowing, or mangled, or infantry belt so less reloads and more snowballing. Nontheless I tried the 1 iri head I had and worse game of huntress I had in my memory. I got 2 kills and 2 dc's and de-pipped as I couldn't farm the 2 who stayed they suicided. Iri needed to go.

Im sorry Iri didn't need to go it needed to be made fun like a lot of things need. Instead of being made trash put a distance needed on it so long range shots are exposed shots would be more fun. But fun? What's that? No simple, quick, pointless, broke, thats what we get so frequently.

I see. Time to hop on killer and burn those 10 rainy day iri's and infantry belts then. Might as well ride the OP train before they shutdown the railroad.

  • Idk man I prefer this as killer. I know the switch last second tilts me and they won't last long because of that (tunnel yo ass) but bringing a key allows me to see it in your hand throughout the trial. Finding it in a chest when I am winning or at least a step a head and the game just ending is what gets me. A survivor in lobby at the start with a key allows killers to play around it but this person with 22k obviously did not hide with it so you had your chance to stop it. He used it when game was practically over. Not saying you can't do work in endgame cuz that's not true the majority of all the killers work (high rank play) is with 2 gens or less. Hopefully they will nerf them soon but until then don't get so upset over the game. Set your expectations realistic man especially with trickster.

  • Oh I no. I took a short break from killer (friends bugging me to play swf) and my Elodie was out of med-kits so I put appraisal on to get one and first open was purple key/commodius toolbox. Cranked the box in gen then grabbed key. When I went past shack ran down there since I still needed my med-kit and skeleton key/yellow med-kit yay. I was like #########. I set them both behind the locker and didn't say anything. Sometimes my friends don't like playing with me I have killer tendencies.

  • Any good killer can find out all the info they need to know about a survivor in the first chase with them.

I agree with this, personally some of my biggest jump scares are when I hear that swoosh of a piggy coming out of crouch behind me. I would feel wrong knowing this before the match starts. Also much respect for maining piggy, she is a doll.

I also don't click on survivor names but I'm not sure xbox can see hours and even if they could there wouldn't be enough time in lobby to research everyone before the match started. Only thing I notice/pay attention to is streamers and items both of which determine how I will play that match.

  • I have Pig as my picture as on my xbox. If they could see that in lobby there would be even more SC and SB than there already is in my lobbies. Just my opinion though. I am also 100% fine with not seeing the survivors names either.

  • Monstrous shrine, beast of prey, insidious and other bottom tier perks I don't use that are severely outdated. I'm tired of them popping up in my blood webs.

As for tinkerer I love using it. Sure it helps people to leave chases and get to a gen but I like if for chases and jump scares. I love when I'm chasing someone lets say with trickster or legion after I have frenzied and a tinkerer gen procs while I'm in chase that survivor is going down. Most of the time the gen will be one far side of map so better to use for the down. Great for later in game though. played against a PH with it yesterday and he came out of no where with it and I damn near fell off my couch. When you in a party talking with friends sometimes you zone out on a gen in a convo and he did a good job coming out of sight and I despise spine chill so didn't have it.

If you're playing a killer that doesn't have certain perks, you've signed up to use that killer, so you put up with what you've got.

You'll never be able to change killer in the lobby. All you can do if you feel you have to is dodge that lobby. Killer queues are quick enough as it is.

When I started playing the game a little over a year ago you could switch killers in lobby. Now you can't due to MMR which we still don't have. That was just an example there are others I'm sure.

  • @Mandy said:

It's definitely not still active, it was switched on for a very short test period (24hrs) - I don't have any information on when it will be tested or implemented further.

That's the part that really stinks. load into lobby, 4 flashlights, Oh snap I'm on my recently prestiged clown who don't have lightborn/franklins let me switch to a killer who has it oh wait can't because of MMR that we still don't have.

  • I thought it was on Friday. I was playing killer and so was one of my friends and we both were getting games out of the norm. We both were running killers we have been running for a while that we usually get sweaty games with but got 3-4 matches straight of just bambi's. Saturday is was back to the normal sweat lodge so idk hard to say with current matchmaking and current devs.

  • My son tried to get me to play this game idk how long ago but the lack of characters resulted in me not staying with the game (played long enough to level wraith to 18 lol). I came back about a week after slinger came out and went nutz. Didn't know about forums or anything so I bought my favorite first (freddy) should have been bubba for BBQ but most don't know that at beginning without help. Although after unlocking his perks a noob like me had noed and bw on my killers👹. Then I tried to read and figure out who was best just by description....... choose ghostface still trash with that guy to this day uhhhh.

  • No limited codes preferably no codes at all still one of the dumbest additions to the game outside of blood point codes of course. I'm guessing it'll be pretty basic and obvious background changed to Resident Evil, new killer, new survivor or two, along with anniversary cakes and hopefully they work on release this time.

  • I got a question about next gen if I was to upgrade would I have to start over? Meaning Xbox One to the next gen Xbox is that at least cross progression?

  • @Sluzzy said:

As easy as killer is, why on gods earth is it necessary to crutch on the same things over and over for free wins? Does it not get boring winning very easy?

First game of the day: Hillbilly with Ruin and Tinkerer

Second game of the day: Nurse also with Ruin, Tinkerer, and even Starstruck on top of that

Third game of the day: Huntress with Ruin. I killed myself and exited the game. I knew the 4th match would be another Huntress or a Spirit probably.

This is ridiculous and very embarrassing for killers. It's more embarassing for the devs that are so incompetent that they leave all of these training wheels in the game for killer to get a 4K every game.

Once again, balance the game and make it fair for a change and stop pandering to baby killers that want easy wins.

    That's impressive a rank 20 killer having those perks.😂😂😂😂

    This is a rant.

Recently, it's been getting more and more difficult to enjoy this game and to look over the glaring issues. The Console version of DBD is an absolute nightmare when it comes to optimization and trying to play the game in a similar way to PC.

I've reached my wits ends with the game constantly freezing and never getting above 25 FPS. How in the ######### am I supposed to counter a 360 if I am getting less than HALF of the frames I should be getting, I'm being denied visual information.

Have some videos demonstrating my point, if you have any of your own, please share them. Maybe we can get an answer out of BHVR about what happened to the Optimization we were promised if we make a big enough fuss.

Ya its rough the drops and freezes especially when you lose line of sight of a Survivor because of it in a game where every second is so important. That being said I'm still glad it's available on console to play even if it is s***.

    1. Alien will always be my dream chapter. I will also be disappointed when a licensed character is released and it's not it. However others I would like to see in game as close 2nds, 3rds, and what nots.
    2. IT - The real clown should be in dbd (Pennywise the dancing clown) not the fat out of breath Subway diet needing one we have.
    3. Jason - It pains me to say this but he deserves to be here with the rest of his iconic buddies. I hated the movies thought they belonged in a trashcan and set on fire but he is iconic regardless.
    4. Chucky - same as Jason pretty much I just personally like the movies more. Everything else needs to sit the fuk down at the kiddy table until these fellas have arrived.
  • Yes this seems to be on the rise for me. It's always been here and there but like 3-4 patches ago all hell broke loose on my side. Feel like a fart could make my frames drops and a survivor disappear nowadays.

Iron Will,Lucky Break,BT and Dead Hard

  • @MadLordJack said:

That was weird. Forum glitched out massively and now I have no clue if my comment has gone through or not so I'll make a other one.

It depends. Based on what others think is low tier? Plague. Though everyone calling her low tier hasn't gone agaisnt a good Plague. Based on what I think is low tier? Trapper. Because Padded Jaws is life.

I love Plague and she is currently in my rotation. just some info on myself I'm rank 1 on console with crossplay and my issues with her are the speed when holding corrupt easily abuable by good survivors on most maps, stuns remove her power that is not easy to get, survivors control how you play (cleanse or no cleanse) (Spray or Melee), Fountain locations, Plague is like a lighthouse in the night due to height and the smoke from her pot. I know some of these can be reduced with add-ons but argument of not low-tier because X player is good with her is not valid. people play best with who fits there style don't mean that's the best character like pig for me. Anytime I run into a bully squad and I'm using a killer I am not the best with I wish I had my pig, fred, or huntress that's who I'm best with right now but I can win with everyone just them almost always. I know that Pig is low-tier-mid tier even though she my best.

  • @SunderMun said:

Legion. Basically no power once survivors are injured.

I see a lot of people saying Clown but this makes me cringe, because even before he got the buff that removed his personal slowdown on holding bottles, I had no issue with him in red ranks; an appropriate use of his bottle is a free hit the majority of the time. I'm average at killer, so can't in a million years consider him low tier if I consistently get good results.

Also another note you being able to win with clown means nothing. Just like me being able to win with Pig means nothing on the balance of the character as a whole. I am better with Pig than Spirit...... Is pig better???????????

  • @SunderMun said:

I can down all day with clown but in a gen rush era even with the yellow bottle his map mobility still sucks against cordinated survivors. If every time you hook someone you see multiple people on the farthest gen (BBQ) you cucked. That's were this game is spread out at beginning, double at end to crank. I have had people on hooks left and right with clown and gens still fly (rank 1) also had games were none got done. You can tell the difference in cordinated gen squads, cordinated cuck around squads, solos, potatoes.

  • Well I don't consider Pig a low tier killer as she is my main.

I want to put trapper here but I'd be a liar if I said I didn't need at least a bag upgrade soooo

Clown for sure. The bottles are so dominate in chase even without add-ons but put ether, bleach, or both and you go down fast. He's the perfect excuse for me to put on brutal as well I just like kicking things fast idk why.

  • @RenTheCat said:

I get there is this small chance of escaping and win the game by finding the hatch or running to the door or whatever, it's happened to me specially when the survivor had flipflop and gates were already open.

But if there are no hooks nearby or I think you have flipflop and you struggle then you're getting slugged the full 4 minutes. I don't wanna see anyone come to the forums crying about how they got slugged for the full timer by those mean killers when the very last survivor refuses to cooperate in his unavoidable death.

2 matches in a row with 0 hooks around and the final survivor just struggling non stop. Never seen a killer slug someone because they are evil or salty or whatever, there is always a reason to slug but survivors love the attention and playing victim so it's not surprising in their head they were being genocided or something.

Man I played with a couple of friends against a mike. He ran unlimited EW3 and Tombstone I was the last survivor and he got to hatch before me all I could think of was to prevent his achievement as it was not fun at all to wait in que to vs that. I made it to a locker just in time and he grabbed me, he drop and picked me up until it forced me off his shoulder and I jumped right back into the locker, he di it again but this time walked to a corner of the map but again made it to the same locker. So this time he walk to a different corner as he knew this was the last chance he had before time ran out. There were no lockers in site bit there was the bus (autohaven) the entity poked my brain. It was a win in my book you can't be upset when a survivor tries to survive nor a killer tries to kill. Just sounds dumb but happens frequently.

I appreciate the creativity, but the problem with this type of perk is if it’s combo’d with NOED, No Way Out, and Remember Me.

Take of remember me and put BW and it's worse ya probably not a great idea now that i think of it.

I dont understand all the Binding of Kin chapter hate, sure it did add a lot of really bad bugs, but it is because they tried something unique and risky and IMO it worked great, there is no other killer like twins and I would much rather see chapters with amazing ideas that release a little bumpy than a boring chapter they played it safe with that adds characters with 0 depth. Trickster needs insane buffs but again, it is a unique design killer and they tried something new and different. Blight was a great addition, adding another new top-tier killer along with a new fan-favorite survivor. Despite all the hate the devs get, this year we have gotten some great new additions to the game, and even though we aren't getting new maps, it is because they are reworking old maps and they feel and look like new maps. I get being disappointed over not as much content as we were given in the past, but the past also had way more broken and stupid additions that took a long time to fix

Well said. I dislike the last to chapters not because of the characters but because of the bugs/balance with twins and the huge balance issues with trickster. I love the twins and trickster as characters especially the twins like a lot wish the team that solely works on legion skins (lol) would visit the twins once in awhile.

Why not just go a step further, and just have a hex that spawns all four survivors on the hook?

    BBQ stacks for everyone.

  • @Zixology said:

As long as Wake Up becomes basekit with a buff to 300% faster gate opening speed, then I'm all for this new Hex perk.

It's a hex that 90% of time will get cleansed and leave killer with 3 perks for most of game 2 if they run noed. It would shake things up a bit and maybe make wake up used more. I like to win my games during the match so I wouldn't use it but to overly exaggerate over a hex/totem seems odd.

Ok... I just don't get people's reaction to this.

Will this suggestion help newbies? Yes. Do they need the help? Yeah kinda.

Will this suggestion hurt you veterans at all? No.

So... why on earth is anybody opposing this? Its an upside for newbies and anyone who prestiges somebody and zero downside at all. Just because it'll make it so it isn't quite as grindy and unpleasant as what you had doesn't make it not a good thing to have happen. Have some empathy. Geez.

I agree with you. However newbies have what 6 tomes now worth of challenges to earn BP on. That's alot of help right out the gate to level a character. It's just hard at first but my wife's account didn't get matched with any purple or reds until rank 13 so that's a bit of time to level your character. Still seemed weird to me though I always thought there couldn't be anyone 8 ranks ahead or below you in your match (not counting MMR) but I was wrong. Anyhow between the tutorials, daily rituals, and 6 tomes there are lots of EXTRA BP for the taking. Tell him to do Bubba first and it will be even easier.

  • Man I remembered you last night had to jakes pull this on me and found one of there camping asses well the crow did but thanks man just another tool in my shed.

  • My build always has self care in it.......with resilience and a med-kit though. I heal myself about 60 to 70% with the medkit and then top it off with self-care. Teammates are unreliable and I don't like any other add-ons anyway.

  • Freddy and Quentin I just need something to put on them besides prestige clothing. Would also be happy with the twins oh and MYERS would be sick too.

  • Wow tough one for sure.

Killer: My top 3 killers dont have great perks (Pig, Huntress, Fred) so basing this off of the killers 3 perks + dbd perks I would go with MYERS. Pwyf and Stbl are very fun and dying light aint the worst 3rd option can shut down mid-late games which is why I run it on my pig (traps for slowdown at start, dying light after).

Survivor: My top survivors are Nancy, zarina, kate, Elodie, and claudette. I feel Elodie has the most interesting group so i choose her.

  • What? My ######### drops/freezes every dead hard or sloppy butcher (if survivor). Last night had a game on Midwich and I took 3 steps back every 15 seconds never seen that one before not sure how the survivors all died that game I almost said fuk it and just stood in a corner. I had to adapt to DH in a whole new way not just baiting it but then figuring out where they went after the drop/lag from it. Those are just the known issues there are times I am just simply walking around and it freezes/skips and I run direct. No problem any other game but DBD but I still manage to do just fine but to say it's a excuse it wrong. It's a hassle and a disadvantage when this happens whether or not you still win.

Yeah, I figure you more than likely are right about the Yui, and I'm not really picking at you in particular for this story, considering she was a streamer and you more than likely could have just checked to be sure there.

Even if she was with the low rank, doesn't necessarily mean that she was with her to bully low rank killers. But again- not picking at you for your story, I totally believe you and at the very least it sounds like she knew what she was doing as far as bullying a low rank/low skill killer she came across (until you got on the sticks and showed her the rules, that is LMAOOO) even if her intention wasn't to queue up with a low rank just to find bully-able killers. I guess I'm more pointing out for anyone else who reads through the thread that not every single rainbow rank lobby was intricately designed to make Baby Killer #2749 have a miserable and unwinnable game haha.

I think a lot of people on the forums here don't play enough survivor to realize that it just seems to be a genuine feature of the game's match making that survivors will be thrown into a lobby together without a care for their ranking LOL

Nope completely agree but over the course of playing this game I have seen lots of rainbow lobbies (not counting MMR) and I just pointed out this instance because it was a cordinated team. The streamer being the oddest one out of the bunch trying to look like superman among humans. Most of time I just feel sorry for the lone red rank.

    Cute story!

But I personally hate it when people assume that a red rank with a low rank is abusing the system. Unless they actually tell you that they queued up with the low rank, you are only making an assumption that it was what they were doing. I'd assume that you knew for sure the Yui was doing it, but I'm just saying for anyone else reading (because it's incredibly annoying to get accused of abusing the rank system whenever I end up facing a low rank killer as a red rank)

I literally have gotten matched with rank 20s in solos and in duos (with a fellow red rank) or with a green and yellow duo while duoing with another red rank. In fact, I get matched with rainbow ranks ALL the time when I duo with my red rank boyfriend.

On a similar note, red ranks can't control the fact that playing with their new friend will bring them low rank killers. They're not trying to game the system there, they're just playing with their friend and taking it as it is.

Yes but high rank killers like myself can spot solo survivors, swf, duo, trips pretty successfully due experience and the survivors playstyles in that match. If there was any doubt I would not accuse as I hate being accused of things I am not doing myself which happens on a regular since most do not know the difference in camping, tunneling, slugging, proxy, or securing a kill in end game.

Also I do not play 100% killer so I know about the rainbow ranks survivor can get and the potato survivor teammates red ranks have to deal with. That it not a regular thing in my killer games though but seems to be in my survivor games whether that's incredible luck or ######### luck I have not figured out.

  • TTV's bring out the worst in me. Right of the start I'm guns blazing and if I get the sense there in it to bully for their fans I will do everything in my power to make there stream miserable or hilarious depending on the viewer. My wife had a TTV yui in her game 2 nights ago flashlight superstar and she is rank 17 and I just couldn't watch anymore I knew something wasn't right so I had her pass the remote. She fell for the fake pickup every time which got her out in open and I took them out with 3 gens remaining. Made sure to pick up the yui off the floor last possible second and chainsaw her until she touched the angels in the sky. She was a rank 4 with a purple, green, and rank 20 teammate abusing the system to bully killers. Sometimes bullies need another bully.

No gonna lie, I'm not really sure what you're trying to say.

I'm saying that if you hit me once, and then 90 seconds later regardless of whether or not you chased me or I healed or whatever, I lost the perk permanently, that would be a trash perk.

I know what you said. New borrowed time activates every unhook, new object plus this new lucky break in one update its a lot. Trash perks are everywhere this perk is too stong and every survivor lineup will be borrowed time, lucky break, iron will, exhaustion/object. There are so many perks with potential of being good but they get locked behind a cool down or too many requirements it's just the way it is this perk cannot go live the way it is.

  • Geez this post still going. The perk was fine way it was just needed to stop when healed. Now way it looks it stops when healed and hides blood and scratch marks. There are quite a bit of clips on youtube of this perk being called OP because it's strong and considering no matter what every unhook is same with this same update, and it brings new object just seems like a lot so I guess I understand. me personally just hope less excuses when there dead.

Don't get me wrong Amanda is one of my mains and not weak at all when played properly but something that just doesn't sit right with me is her reverse bear traps.

They should either buff her add-ons such as tampered timer and actually reduce it from 2 minutes and 30 seconds to something around 1 min 45 sec or increase the amount of time it takes to search a Jigsaw Box.

Its honestly almost impossible to pressure both gens and bear traps at the same time especially when they're not active yet.

Besides, the only good add-ons she has are brown/yellow ones, Combat Straps and Video-tape. Honourable mention to Amanda's secret.

Sure it may still be my fault and I might not be that good of a Pig player but I honestly would put her as the weakest killer alongside Trickster/Demo since I just can't see her power having the snowball potential it's supposed to have. It does slow down gen progression a bit but right after all the traps are gone (since they're easily removable) Pig is just another M1 killer than can crouch and ambush.

Or they should just make it like it was before when her traps activated no matter if the last gen was already completed. Anything at this point.

Whoa whoa ok for one leave trapped survivors alone unless another survivor runs you passed one (I slug them) because they are occupied with something other than a GENERATOR. I personally you ambush at mid-small loops to hit or make them run that's it. Being crouched for too long is time consuming I personally bring extra traps and boxes but that's me. Now the next WHOA........ DEMO..... Same level as Trickster whatever you are on Please I beg of you send me some so I can experience it. Demo (before this buff) is very underrated and dangerous in the right hands especially with STBL. He has the ability to teleport around the map and has shred auto puts him light years past trickster who shouldn't even be on a F**king tier list even after his buff.

  • @WishIcouldmain thanks for doing these gives me something to read during my downtime at work. They have all been interesting except for @GoodBoyKaru's who's was dull for the most part (not enough cows). Just kidding really!. I do find it extremely rude request for higher post members to be interviewed and better questions asked pretty much at the beginning of the interview. I mean it's bad enough the people asking to be interviewed in the middle of a interview all the time but thats a new low. Hey maybe my view is bad though. Keep it up I love it and I believe most do.

  • I agree with you all but you got to admit they have been underwhelming of late. I like the trickster and twins as a character I am just speaking on everything else related to them you know the balance issues with them.

  • You learn more playing Pig than say Freddy and spirit. She teaches you more base mechanics you need with the majority of the roster. She also has a few things to make her interesting even tho is M1. Stealth even if it's not as good as wraith, ghosty, or mike it's better than the others and her ambush is great in mid-small loops at getting a hit or making them leave the loop if you know what your doing. The RBT's give you time at the start/mid game to get/build some hooks and her ambush does not count as a basic attack so STBL is great for her. STBL is one of my favorite perks so a killer that has a ability to get around losing tokens is always +1 in my book. IMO key there IMO her add-ons offer different ways to play her. You can upgrade your ambush, add gears and reduce trap timer for head pops, or my personal favorite add more traps and boxes to buy more time at beginning/mid-game. Like someone else said I do better with Pig than Oni, Spirit, Doc just to name a few.
