I would like to think if it actually just drained for 90 seconds whether you are healed or not there wouldn't be complaints about it. One hit 90 seconds later one perk slot gone sounds fair to me but that doesn't look like it's the case.

perk is fine, its one time use lOL
I don't play on the ptb but I have seen videos on this perk sure looks like it stops when you are healed. I know a lot of these videos are edited and go from game to game in the middle sometimes but that is how it appeared to me.

There's nothing better than a game with five cakes. Those events where you got to hook people to get a tiny amount of blood points like a thousand or finish a gen to get 2,000 points like really that's just trash.

Another note he has the same speed as huntress and slinger however I don't feel affected by it with them like I do with Trickster
-
Yep completely agree soon as the update was installed I was excited to use him again already miss my Huntress. He does move more smoothly that part I like but there is just not enough time and the current meta for this killer and his power. I have always felt since the beginning eight blades was just too much even with the increased 20 seconds before dilaceration meter resets they either need to get rid of the reset or decrease the blades required. Or at the very least buff his speed so that it's not so easy to break line of sight on him.

This is what you're worried about have you seen this new lucky break that worries me more than anything

That is not camping tho :) Unless you stood in their faces and never let anyone to unhook or had insidious and was in corner waiting for ppl to rescue and never left the basement/killershack.
Iron grasp is fine. And I understand sometimes it is a valid strategy, do not get me wrong. BUT if your first hook is camping then it is not strategy, you just want to see ppl die on hook, compensating something... You won't even pip... So it is not valid strategy...
And yea, I do not deny survivors are toxic too.
Um outside of when I was a noob and thought insidious made me invisible I have never used it. yes I am not joking before I was rank 1, forums, wiki, had every perk/killer that is what I thought it did. Never tried it again. To elaborate no I did not facecamp but my goal was to get as many hooks down there so I wasn't to far away but anytime I take the time to haul someone to the basement I try to make the team pay for going down near it or at killer shack.

@EliskaMM said:
I do not care how is is called.. It is ruining the game for everyone.. Esp. now around the rank reset killers seem to love to see survivors not have fun. And to me most of the killers do not understand that piping is not tied to BPs and rank is not tied to skills... Otherwise I have no idea why would anyone choose this over normal gameplay... You are either dumb, cruel or scum%bag and trying to kill this game from inside.
If that would be once in a Blue Moon, I would be fine with that. Or if it is Basement Bubba defending a chest. I do not care if I die, as long as I at least pip or have fun, but past few months, it seems that the killer base got worse. I am really considering to go and play just killer now, instead of both side, so at least some of the survivors can have fun.
I got killers sending us to the most broken map, yes I am talking about you Autohaven, just so they can camp easily bc they do not need to be afraid of pallets coz you know, there are non on one side of the map.. and if there are, they ain't working anyway coz you can get hit through them...
I really do not know if majority of the players I stand against are just cruel or compensating something, but if you get killers either camping or tunneling (or both) in 10 games in row, then there is something wrong with the game...
This stupid "tactic" used to be use by low rank killers back in the day, but now seems everyone loves to use it... If the bugs won't kill the game, the community deff will.. I stopped playing at 2017 for the same reason.. came back at 2020, got to red ranks and was hoping that this stupid sh%t is nowhere to be seen in red, oh boy I was wrong.
No offense but survivors don't care about killers fun either. That's a two way street that got demolished a long time ago. Now as to OP i actually had to look and see if it was my game last night. I was struggling to do the basement hook challenge with my normal rotation of killers so I brought my Bubba out of retirement through iron grasp on and decided to see what the hype was about. If was fun for those two games (challenge done btw) but don't see how this could be a playstyle.

My fellow Pigs ######### are you doing? Kill and move on is not that hard. Same for you survivors. Survive and move on. So disappointed there are so many arseholes using Pig. That's what bubba is for leave Pig out of this Please.

The snare nerf are huge you slow yourself by 15% just to slow the survivor for 15%. I see no reason to use freddy power in a loop anymore
To shut down strong loops. Spamming them in chase was something I never did anyhow as I traveled across the map right at beginning I could spot great places to put them (like trapper) to get quick hits later which is what they want to achieve with this change. I am more worried about the limit of 5 then the slowdown. Shack, cowtree, T/L, and pallets/vaults are all things that come to mind I have pre-placed for future chases and got downs from. The vaults/pallets are just so they get less distance while you break the pallet which I add with brutal. To OP considering you made a post like this I'm guessing after the nerf/change you will still be calling him OP while he sticks his glove in your back.

Anyone saying Freddy is balanced forgot that Freddy can:
- Deny Borrowed Time Perk in dream world (Which is utter BS!)
- Send people into dream world with M1
- Force people into dream world by mere time
- The more survivors wake each other from the dream world state, the longer the process takes
- Easily deny loops with blood puddles
- Can use blood puddles as audio traps to locate survivors
- have zero directional terror radius in dream world
- can teleport to generators (if using Tinker + Pop or Ruin, good luck ever finishing a gen)
Freddy is that one problem child in the family blessed with all the gifts for sheer pity of what he once was.
I have never in my life lost a single game with Freddy when using my patented Tinker + Ruin + Undying build. I can simply just keep infinite gen pressure on and force survivors to waste tremendous amount of gen progression, and even when they try to split, I can still manage to win the game without breaking a sweat. It's not even a challenge. This Killer has literally everything a Killer can have.
Yeah I use my Fred for the first time in about a month couple days ago I got blasted with messages. My build is brutal, pop, BBQ, Disco and I can't remember the last time I lost a game I'm sure there was a random hatch escape here and there. I couldn't imagine how strong he would be with that build nor would I want the messages from it.
-
Here's another one just played a game with Legion. My Legion has Max corrupt and Max bbq a tier-1 thana lol and a tier 2 tinkerer. My Lobby is a 3-man Xbox swf and one random cross-play. The game is not going well which region is an uphill climb usually but he's super fun but I'm hooking and Frenzy away from Hook I think I only had like five maybe six hooks when the last gen pop it was a huge autohaven map. Endgame happens I catch one hookem decide to proxy why wouldn't I after my last post. End up killing three of them. Get messages at the end being called a tunneling trash can. They were all rank 3 or higher and don't know the true definition of tunneling camping sure but who doesn't expect that in end game but tunneling I played way too nice I didn't slug didn't tunnel or someone out to make up some time and I still get accused of this. The entitlement and double standards in this game can drive someone mad.

Depends, are you still losing horribly? I agree to a certain extent on being nice in game. I play both sides and it’s not fun to be camped or tunneled so I try not to do that as Killer. However, if the survivors are being toxic, unhooking right in my face, or it’s nearing the end of the match and everyone is still alive, then the nice gloves come off. It’s a match after all and I’m trying to win. Being nice doesn’t really get you far as Killer and it is a handicap. Though one that a lot of people do and maybe should? I’m not entirely sure. However, if being nice is constantly getting you loses then follow my rule, if three gens have popped and everyone is still alive and you haven’t even downed or hooked anyone yet then take off the nice gloves. You get nothing out of the game from being nice. There is no “nice” bonus BP.
This is about as well said as it gets. If you're having fun go for it they definitely are with the way you're playing. The only thing I will add is if the roles are reversed that same gratitude is not givin back. However as long as you're having fun thats Your choice but you are throwing matches especially not securing the kill during end game collapse. I did this exact same thing two days ago I open the exit gate and did not camp in endgame collapse went into frenzy with Legion they dead harded so I could not get a frenzy hit and tea bagged at the gate while I was in fatigue waiting for me to come out of fatigue and swing at them and walked out the gate not even giving me a hit for my nice gesture. I cannot tell you how many times things like this happen I can't even down you in Frenzy they were not in danger.

@TheGannMan I know I was talking about plague that was a joke obviously. I didn't give a serious answer because they were all already said Oni, blight, huntress. I will add that even though I feel his add-ons need a rework demo is pretty close.

And idk about devotion, but I reckon they'll do something soon. Don't worry.
Rank rewards are supposed to be coming but it seemed tied to the MMR so we'll see. I was pretty disappointed the first time my devotion reset and I found out that you got nothing for it I was kind of hoping for like a slight increase in iri shards or something even if it just went up 5 on the max so 305 for instance on the max levels then 310 so on and so forth.

I think we all know how everyone feels about killers like Nurse, Spirit, and Freddy. These killers are the epitome of unbalanced as Nurse breaks the game, Spirit has no counter and takes like 2 brain cells to master, and Freddy is like Spirit to a lesser extent, except at least he can be looped.
Let’s just sit back and think to ourselves, which killer defines what every other killer should strive to be in terms of balance and game health? When we say balance, we mainly talk about a killer that offers fun and exciting gameplay from both sides where it actually feels like an interactive multiplayer game.
In my opinion, the most perfect killer in terms of game balance is Hillbilly, and I would assume a lot others will agree with me on that. Hillbilly is a very strong killer as he has a one-shot ability, amazing map mobility, and has add ons that can enhance his strengths. Even though he may be a strong killer, he has reasonable counterplay on the survivor side with a very high skill ceiling. There’s a lot that goes into playing as and against Hillbilly that it feels so rewarding to play as him and against him. Hillbilly never deserved the overheat nerf. His insta saw add ons needed the nerf as that was the only thing that kept Hillbilly from being a well-rounded balanced killer, but they’ve been removed so it’s not that big of a deal anymore. Other killers that I believe fall in the same category with Hillbilly of being strong but fair for both sides are Huntress, Blight (without J-flick), Demo, Oni, and even the new Wraith, even though he may not be as strong as others.
I wanted to create this thread because I think the devs need to take time to look at these balanced killers and analyze why they are so fundamentally balanced when they design new killers or rework current killers. I don’t want killers like Spirit nerfed to the ground as I really like the concept of her power of turning invisible and tracking by audio, but she certainly needs a serious rebalance that takes both sides into account.
Plague? Oh wait where not supposed to day her name she does not exist. Right BHVR!
BHVR- Plague? Is that a skin for Legion?

How is it under the survivors control if I camp the cluster from the beginning of the game?
This. There are plenty of tools in a Killer's Arsenal forcing 3 gen, slugging, proxy camping, tunneling, gen regression perks. them tapping a gen has actually helped me numerous times be able to pop the same gen back to back there's a risk involved in it. There are still some pretty weak killers on the roster, I'm a little tired of my frame drops anytime someone uses dead hard the outside of those two I have no complaints and by some week killers I just mean a lot has to go your way for the average killer to win at high ranks with them or are extremely add-on dependent or both.

Cage of Atonement is completely different from a simple hooking - you don't have to pick up a survivor, you don't have to walk to a hook etc
The change to the struggle mechanic is not going to negate the picking up and walking to a hook for a regular killer, it's purely going to change the way survivors struggle on the hook when in the 2nd phase.
great change btw.

Huntress - Bitter murmer, whispers, Lullaby, sloppy - current build - BBQ, Nurses, Disco, Corrupt
Freddy - LOL ######### prolly just go for the endgame build to piss you all off. Remember me, fire up, bloodwarden, noed with pallets so I hopefully don't kill anyone. Current build - BBQ, Disco, POP, Brutal yep your dead.

Precisely. I believe "playable" here means being able to do something instead of helplessly watching survivors run you around because your power isn't threatening.
Can't wait to try him instead of speculate. The laceration meter decay being so short/existing has always been my biggest concern. If you use his knives on a survivor you are forced to continue or you wasted your time and you in turn waste more time. Hopefully these changes make it easier to hit knives consistently because for me on console it seemed like they would just fly in random directions.

I disagree. Trickster is obviously supposed to be a faster, lightweight version of Huntress. Him getting changed so he goes between 96% -> 92% movement while throwing knives instead of 92% -> 67% is probably going to be huge and matches that perfectly. Especially since movement speed in this game is everything.
I don't know why he still can't store Main Event though. That would have been nice.
I hope your right. I like the character and he is the only one I can't hold rank with. Main event need to be useable or removed. Maybe the spread/recoil helps make it more useful though and proc in better situations. This wasn't what I was looking for in his buff but I will def check it out when it drops. Hopefully one day the trickster will actually be the masterpiece we were told he would be.

Imagine nerfing Gearhead, btw...
Ya I also just went through the trickster buffs too and he's still going to be bottom tier. Sure he might be slightly better but he wasn't slightly trash. In bhvr terms he was Tremendously trash so he needed something in his buff to stand out. Nothing does his main event is still useless 95% of time their just so afraid for their masterpiece to actually be a fu**in masterpiece. If you play purple rank and lower you might have fun.... maybe.

Huntress: Add-on pass, which will probably get rid of Iri Head and Exhaustion add-ons.

I agree to the point that killers whine a lot but so do survivors. Everyone whines and that's a fact no 1 is ever happy
To your other points:
Wraith: Faster when cloaked but SLOWER when uncloaking nerfed him at same time. This hit certain killers styles hard now instead of windstorm add-ons it's uncloaking add-ons.
Clown: I love clown but still can lack map mobility even with the yellow bottle. Does not always seem worth it but I find him usable at rank 1 so agree here.
Blight: Fixed height/FOV but has other issues still for most killers not all.
Trapper: What? His traps luck now favors the survivor so how is that a buff.
DS: I'm not touching this one to much just let a teammate heal you and your fine. Only time it's an issue is when only 2 remain and someone needs rescue you lose your DS if you rescue him that is slippery slope in my mind.
Hillbilly: No happy

Trappers traps are now having a better luck chance
Ds got nerfed
Trickster getting a buff next wee
Survivor animations are now more clear (Hillbilly is happy)
Like common, every killer gets update after Update buffed. Yeah I know sfw is stronger but bhvr is finally trying to make the game more balanced so just wait for new amazing changes.
Trickster: Buff coming but what? Do you have the faith they will make him good. That they will listen to what we say is needed. This guy needs a few things not just 1. I actually like him for some reason he is just unusable right now. I maintain my rank with every killer on the roster except trickster (the MASTERPIECE) they called him if I remember correctly. Well if your going to use that word then buff the ######### out of him and make a good killer. If they don't lower the hits they at least need to remove the laceration heal that way we can 99 the knives like ghostface stalk for a later time.

You're plain wrong. It's not even close to 1/10 trails you enter that shows that most of killer's roster have no competence about experiment survivors, let's even say 1/100. These are my last 5 matches, for example:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/2AMNSVWJ6TVZ/screenshot-28574-29.png

https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/7NH3UXP0KO8B/screenshot-28578-29.png
I've played one after another (you can check with the BP difference, one of them I got rift points), and you can also see that I've got no SWF.
And I still escape at least 7/10 of my matches, and it's very very very very very rare to get a killer 4k, it's something like 1/50 matches (assuming 4x rank 1s vs rank 1 killer). I think most of the solid rank 1 player base can confirm my stats.
You can say that 1/100 matches you'll go against a death squad, that I can probably agree. But a death squad doesn't show only that M1 killers are powerless, they show that every killer is powerless.
This is how last night was for me. Luckily I was running Clown so it wasn't the cakewalk these teams expected (their names were warning me) that's how cocky they were but SWF is the power role. Now that being said it's not like this happens that often it's rare that I get consecutive matches but def not 1/10 at least in my experience at rank 1 with crossplay.

Title.
I keep cross-play off due to how just insanely prejudice PC survivor players are. Every time I turn it on it just reinforces why I turned it off. Like my last match, where 2 PC players didn't get hooked one time, and left without even remotely trying to unhook me.
Either enable cross-platform chat, or I will never use it again, and I strongly encourage other console users to do the same. Right now, PC players have unfair kb+mouse advantages, pre-game chat, and graphics (wink wink visibility) options. Distinctly, the lack of lobby chat makes us console users seem like a no-faced mass that can just be looked down on. Without ANY way to talk to cross-play teammates none of this will change.
Who care what PC players do or think. Bring deliverance. Also I can see Blendettes in a bush wiping their asses and I'm on console. These newer tv's due awesome things. I tinkered in my setting and I can see myers eye balls through his mask so it's not just them. Yes that have some things console players can't do but console players can still do everything just some things take more effort. I only play cross-play because xbox survivors are usually (not always) Mehhhhhhhhhh uhhhhhhhhh wahhhhhhhh 😭 in that order. Cross-play is more of a challenge.

I just wanted to hear if anybody has ever gotten a survivor given them a mercy/consolation kill when they got stomped/were obviously outmatched by the survivors.
I play dbd since it's release 5 years ago in a casual on and off fashion. I never went for tunneling (even letting fresh unhooked survivor pass by to get a new one or hit them to get points for injuring them), camping (mostly heading for the opposit side of a map) or slugging (Atlrast not multiple people, only people on death hook to give them another chance).
I only start killing people when they dont get much progress done in 5-10 minutes, even then go for 12 hooks and most often let the last survivor get hatch (except they were TBagging/overly cocky, not contributing to their team or even sabotaging their teammates by bodyblocking or the like).
But I have never in these five years ever seen a survivor come to me after getting stomped by them and give me a mercy sacrifice or anything like that. At most hits when I chased them out of the gate, which I stopped doing since at some point most often they just faked to get more chase points without getting hit and just want to rub in the loss via TBagging and clicking. Instead I go for pallets or breakable walls while the mist annoying ones spam fast vaults and the normal ones leave halfway through the egc timer.
I have just passed my one year mark recently and I had never seen one. I had got sick of the taunts and abuse especially when I learned nurse and now trickster that I never let anyone live no matter what. I do my best to play fair but it theres a time crunch I will use any tool at my disposal (legal ones). Not long after I made that change trickster came out and playing with this fool at rank 1 is such a BLAST I had a Jake stop at the gate and let me kill him. I think he felt bad for the rng on the haddonfield map we were on or maybe being trickster was enough idk.

Yeah, but winning without effort is not fun IMO.
Like, I played Spirit a few days ago. I dont really like playing her, because she does not feel rewarding, it does not feel like I have outplayed the Survivor at all. Got a 4K, 12 Hooks, 3 Gens done, never in trouble of not winning the game. And that without Stridor against 2 Iron Wills.
As long as you dont want to torture yourself as Killer with Meme-Builds, you will have no problem most of the time in Red Ranks (if you are in that Rank as well, not talking about Matchmaking-Issues here).
Agreed. I have switched to using my lower/rarely used killers to get things more competitive and still I am at the same rank as my mains. I do disagree with the spirit logic I am complete trash with her even with a headset not quite sure why. I can't hit a lunge with her for some reason and I suck at phasing and I'm not talking I played her for few games no I took to to P3 and said screw it. I play one console and do just fine with huntress, nurse, oni, blight but spirit no thanks I'll pass. I won't try again neither as when I play against her they all seem to phase straight to the hook 🙄

I was wondering if there were any particular characters that killers just have it out for? Ever since I've been playing as Kate Denson, I've found that I've been incredibly unlucky with camping and tunnelling. I know not all killers are like this, it just seems like in 70% of matches I play now, when there are plenty of options to go for other survivors, I get the rough end of the stick and get tunnelled hard. Is there bias against certain characters that I don't know about? Maybe I'm just unlucky 😅
I find Most kate's to be let's say not so good. I love Kate she is my second favorite survivor behind Nancy so I hope she's not targeted by killers. Me personally Nea is the only character I dislike and won't even use. I won't tunnel her just because however the slightest excuse and I will make sure they don't make it out even if it means a 3 man escape. lots of toxic players use her. A nancy could do the exact same things and it would't bother me. Not saying the nancy wouldn't die just that I wouldn't devote my whole existence in making sure it happened. Same goes for Zarina, Jane, and claudette for seperate reasons.

Ya its been a rough couple of days. It was fun at first but now I'm getting face face pushed into the dirt to much. So far the survivors have been decent about it though. I mean they still try to 4 minute the game but I got some nice messages and a jake gave me a mercy kill last night which made me feel even worse cause I could pick my worst killer and give them a much more competitive game just because that killer would at least have a POWER.

The wiki says it always adjusts its descriptions to make it clearer what the perk actually does.
Oh got ya after I sent this I looked again and it does mention after a hook on the perk. The perk mentions while carrying a survivor and after hooking its weird. Just like his red add-on based on proximity but then next sentence says damage is reset after missing a shot so it's based on consecutive shots. Which is it? Or both? Should I be closer when hitting them with blades or farther away? Just garbage.

BP cakes that work at the start. I have used trickster only since his release and it really stinks how they did him. He needs help but at least escape rates will go up. I have somehow only dropped to rank 2 so far but I know if I continue playing him I will drop farther at some point. Hopefully they do do anything too drastic to huntress iri head should be only thing really an issue. Hopefully fred does not get dropped to trickster level as well. I would also like to see the perks that are not used either removed or buffed in someway montrous shrine for example.

Shoudlnt trapper of gotten a huge buff then since he is by far the most picked across all ranks
By far? PH, Wraith, Huntress, and Doc all have higher pick rates than than trapper. Hmmm wraith just got a buff, Huntress is about to get looked at, so did trapper, My exact wording was cosmetic, buffs or nerfs based on pick rates drawing there attention more. Freddy is coming based on kill rates proving they look at that too which is not a good stat. He does need nerfed tho.

Smash hit is #########, at best you will get 2 uses of it if you are going against a bad killer, 1 if the killer uses his brain and avoids getting stunned again. It gets outclassed by basically every other exhaustion perk except maybe balanced landing.
Starstruck not only completely counters hook bodyblocking, it also gives you extra snowball potential, especially paired with infectious fright
For sure. On strong loops I will swing to for the stun to end the loop quickly but if I see this perk you will never get another use out of it. I agree.

I watched my teammates get off gens everytime it activated which was quite often. So it worked like a slowdown, the 30 seconds does not start until you HOOK and persists for 30 secs if they leave your radius, it lasts longer than you would think. It's got a few uses from a survivors perspective slowdown, no bodyblocking/sabo, and instadowns potential. It's a pretty crazy perk tried it myself in my last game and seal the game with it.
Hey wiki description of this perk looks different to me than the one in game. Is anyone in their game now and confirm the exact reading of the perk. I swear I read the word HOOK on the perk last night but nothing in the wiki. Was I sleepwalking?
