  • Its op against bot survivors, indoors, or with HG/MYC. Any wraith that does not have double re-appearance you can easily run out of the range of his lunge. He takes an eternity to uncloak without appearance add-ons.

The thing is, the early game is the hardest part of the game for the Killer. Getting into your first Chase ASAP can help a lot. I also dont run it on every Killer, but for some Killers, I think it really has good value:

Myers-->Struggles with early game and I know exactly where to go to get out of Tier 1 quickly.

Legion-->I know how many Survivors spawned at a Spawn Point so that I can go to the Spawn where the majority of them is (sometimes they spawn that 3 are together and 1 is alone, so I make sure that I go for the 3 together)

Plague-->IMO it is good if I have someone infected early on.

Oni-->Early game where he does not have his power is his weakest, a neat side effect is that Survivors tend to hide at the start when they hear my Terror Radius to not give me the first hit, but it is easy to get, since I know where they are.

Nemesis-->To get the Mutation Rate going ASAP

Blight-->I am in a Chase immediatly.

But in theory, you can run it on every Killer, but I also use Whispers on others. Like, on my Nurse, I cannot really replace any Perks, so I stick with Whispers over LP.

This is fantastic. So many only focus on the 9 seconds but knowing exactly where everyone is and applying the most pressure is priceless most games. Yes the perk is best on 4-5 killers but still a good perks with most if you understand the whole purpose of the perk. Not to mention the synergy with corrupt eliminating corrupts biggest weakness (waiting it out in hiding).

  • My build on Bubba is BBQ, Ruin, Bamboozle, and Disco.

Let's say hypothetically that us console players suddenly never lag and bhvr fixed all the performance, then i think this game mode would be fun

    LOL YES.

  • That sounds interesting and I'm a firm believer this game needs something added but this mode sounds like it would shut down consoles for good.

  • I love Midwich on both roles. My favorite map by far and I no fan of SH never played any.

RE map can get ######### it's terrible and no amount of game time will alter my opinion.

  • If they really wanted more to play killer the easiest way would be to have more killer challenges in the rift. Each time a tome is added the survivor challenges outnumber the killers. Also daily rituals could be handed out to the side in need.

This is one of the reasons why skill based matchmaking is a bad idea.

We have things in Favor of Survivors. Listed in this Order

    1: Stretch Res

    2: Multiple Ds / Unbreaks

    3: Pre-throwing / Gen Rushing

    4: Swf

5: Less than 5 minute games..

I'm lost. What does this have to do with?

Not you specifically just these bots we are talking about.

  • IDK what you are talking about Head-on. Head-on, Inner strength, Q&Q, Deception is probably one of theeeeee most fun survivor builds.

So I tried Depth Gauge Rake and Carburettor Tuning Guide addons separately in different matches.

It felt noticeable slower when doing my chainsaw sweeps, much more than the stated -4.35% decrease to Chainsaw Sweep maximum Movement speed.

When I tried Beast's Marks, I didn't feel a difference at all in my chainsaw speed, from the stated +3% increase to Chainsaw Sweep Movement speed.

Does anyone feel the same way? My 1st addon is always the purple or yellow chilli.

Same. I just roll with primer bulb (replenish charges qickly) and homemade muffler (reduce tantrum). HM I use because like Nurse/Legion fatigue it drives me nutz how long I am incapacitated. Considering the amount of debris on maps these days I get good use out of it along with the fact I have not used Bubba much since my early days.

Killer (depends on killer ofc) - LP, Corrupt, Pop, STBL average try hard. Like I said though depends on killer.

  • I will just copy and paste my response from another post.

My tests (all 3 of them) gave me a good team of survivors no matter the killer I used. That being said the games I did not win (0-2 kills) I felt I had the opportunity to win if I made 1-3 less mistakes and the games I won (3+ kills) I felt if they made 1-3 less human errors they would have won. There was even a couple 2k games that were a blast and did not come out of it feeling disappointed. I am excited for this MMR to go live as games were I kick my feet up and relax and steamroll the survivors are not fun (they seem to be for streamers and lots others) but not me. These games described above are the best and few and far between with current MM.

Same. I’ve been complaining here, YouTube, and Twitter whenever it’s brought up. I’m glad to hear that some people are having a good experience with it, but it’s not fair to us who are not. Players constantly ragequitting for the dumbest reasons screwing up the game. Making bad plays like farming you in front of the killer, running off to hide and heal. Too scared to do gens when there’s 1 left and 3 survivors. What the F is that?! I don’t play like that! That’s not skill! So how is pairing us up with players who are bad “skill based??” Cmon now. Half the time I die first because there all hiding DOING LITERALLY NOTHING and I have more points then all 3 of them alive. With a margin of 2-3K!! SBMM my a$$!

This sounds like normal Solo Q not a SBMM issue. These games you describe happen now in majority of solo matches. This is not a good reason as most say they had better teammates during the test.

To me it's all an experiment because just like they said the new horrendous UI from a couple months ago would be "permanent" they back tracked when enough people complained and created a new better UI, I have feeling SBMM being permanent won't be here for long because so far it's getting more back lash than the bad UI but we will have to wait and see what the future holds.

They are doing MMR period and no amount of twitter/forums tears are going to matter. They ran 3 test (I believe) and the most recent showed the stats they wanted to see with SBMM despite so many claiming there matches were different. Sounds like people just need to wait and see how it goes or find a new game.

You know, I used to be a nice guy. I'd wake up at 9 in the morning, mow my lawn, eat all my wheaties, wave goodbye to the Survivors across the street as they went off to their maintenance job, the works.

We've had a good rapport, them and I.

I'd slow down if I was stomping. I'd leave the unhooked guy to run off. I'd give the last survivor hatch.. I was a nice killer. In fact, I dare say i'm being humble when I say I was the best killer.

    UNTIL 𝕀 𝕋 HAPPENED.

I was just strolling along, minding my own business, and I see this survivor over by the exit gate. I see he's about to leave. I hoist my machete onto my shoulder and wave.

"Hey, Jake, have a good one out there!"

And then he turns to look at me.

I see it-- his cold, dead eyes, devoid of kindness and life, blacker than the deepest void, a dark night devoid of stars and light. He locks eyes with me. He reaches up, fingers clutched around the cold metal of an iridescent key.

He smiles. Lips moving to a breathless whisper, carried by the dead winds of the forest.

    "𝐄𝐙"

He hits the CTRL key once. I clutch at my chest, body wracked with agony. Twice, sending me crashing onto the ground, desperately trying to look away. A third time.. darkness begins to overtake my vision. The last thing I see before it all goes black is Jake, merrily sauntering off into the night.

I used to be a nice guy.

But I woke up in that Lery's hospital bed a changed killer. The Doctor tried to stop me, told me I needed more rest-- but he knew. A reckoning was coming.

Clad in my blackest trenchcoat and strongest perks, I knew there was to be no peace. I could see it in all their eyes-- the tbags, the clicky clicks. Just having fun with their friends? Ha, I knew better. Survivors don't have friends-- just tournament members. Solo queuer? Just a SWFer waiting to send the invite. 15 hours in the game? An obvious smurf account. These damned, filthy survivors were all the same, so i'd treat them all the same. Hope you're proud of yourselves, 'cause this is the unstoppable beast of your creation.

    No more Mr. Nice Killer.

    Masterpiece.

    Thumbs up.

Forum users represent a small minority of the overall playerbase and are likely to be more experienced than the average player. I'd say its reasonable to assume a lot of the regular forum users are near the top percentiles.

Friend, the forums are nowhere near the top percentiles of players. I wouldn't consider myself in the top percentile on either side. I'm good at Killer, I'm good at Survivor. But I'm certainly not good enough to challenge the people who have several thousand hours more than me.

And we just had a test that proved the opposite. As I said before, but you thought I "exaggerated", I played the vast majority of games during the test against Blight and Nurse. Spirit has been bugged for almost a month and a half or I would expect to see her more.

You will get a variety of players, I promise. Like how every game with MMR works, you're going to be losing some games at first but you will get back to your matches where you'll be playing against the survivors that's your skill level.

Even then, I've been going against a variety of Killers myself right now. Assuming you think just being in Rank 1 means I am in the "top percentile" of Survivors.

The best players agree only Nurse, Spirit, and Blight are viable against 4 good survivors, so why wouldn't you expect to only play against them with MMR active?

So they'll just play those killers. But you won't always see them every game. I haven't seen a Blight in ages and I've seen a Spirit and Nurse much more in Rank 1. It's going to give you way more variety in MMR, because in MMR, you will be playing against survivors that is your skill level. And if you'r eplaying a killer you rarely play, your MMR will be adjusted accordingly.

I don't remember the result of all my matches during the test. But I remember most matches were very short, and very boring. Teammates were all good so gens flew. Killer would have to tunnel/camp his/her first hook and hope Ruin stayed up long enough to make it a 3v1. Very rarely did someone on either side break 20k bloodpoints.

I would much rather try to carry a couple of below overage teammates and get a wider mix of killers/teammates than play the same match every time.

Give it a week or two.

Thanks. You saved me so much time.

We just had a test a few weeks ago and this was exactly my experience playing survivor. Almost every match was Blight with 4 slowdown perks, alchemists ring and blighted crow or strongest build on nurse.. This test was recent so why do you think people are lying about it?

Lying? Did not say that but since you bring it up I do think people exaggerate quite often. I am assuming you lost every one of those matches? If so you should have dropped rating.

It's not that I think people lie it's the fact there are too many followers these days that just repeat was the last person said so let's say I'm a skeptic.

  • Sure are lots of comments "Can't wait to play Nurse, Spirit, and Blight every game".

So it's been said the "top" is sweaty and you need these 3 killers to compete. I find it funny so many of you all think you are the top percent. When a argument about killer balance is brought up everyone is quick to say "But that's the top %/Comp and that is a small % of people" but here we are everyone thinks there the top % and will only play these 3. Most of you aren't the top and will see plenty of different killers. I am sure I'm not the only killer who is best with Pig, Fred, Trapper, etc. Those 3 most powerful aren't my most powerful and I'm sure there are plenty of every killer at the top. just wait and see instead of pissing your pants.

Flicks can be done, but not to the degree that PC can. Ergo, the skill ceiling for console will always be lower.

I am pretty sure I mentioned that.....Don't need to be a PC Blight to win though.

  • @TicTac said:

So you are happy with the planned rank rewards? (500k Bloodpoints) Or would you prefer something different?

The rank rewards depend on your playtime in the month, your rating/how hard your matches are dont matter. So it will be no reward for "sweating".

I personally like also close matches more. If you know that your opponents are good, even a draw can feel satisfying. But i would want to see my rating to see how i improve.

Well rank rewards are coming with MMR. Depending on what killer I am using it could still be a sweat fest. I would be perfectly fine with that if I am doing it to earn rewards. Do I feel the 250k for each side is a great prize? No I feel it cheap as ######### but it's better than what I get now for rank. I would prefer more BP or a choice to get iri shards. I'm sure they will tinker with rewards from time to time once it's implemented.

They should add a crosshair on console to compensate for the frame drops. 🙃

Lol. I don't have drops anymore but when on my old xbox the game was near unplayable. I feel terrible for anyone still on Xbox one/PS4 but optimization is another issue. This thread is about flicks and when the game works they can be done on console. You can be as good as need be with killers on console (like I said except Trickster). Can you be a tournament Blight? More often not unless it's an console only tourney but who cares about tourneys. In a normal match you will be fine if you can play your best with them.

  • @JPLongstreet said:

I feel the skill ceiling is higher for Blight on PC than the consoles. Can you become supremely good with him, yes over time of you put in the work.

But with micro-freezes, lag, fps dips n drops n dribbles, joystick deadzone, input delay all combining to rob ya of hits all day long, no amount of dedication can overcome all of that imo.

That I agree with. You can only go so far with Blight on console but that is still good enough to win majority of time. The only character I submit to that I know I can't be good with on console is Trickster. Everyone else you can get the job done with but trickster a lot has to fall into place with him. His knives are a joke on console.

Not to the same degree as PC.

I can get good value from Blight, but it still isn't the same.

Not what he said though. He said he can never flick Blight or hatchets. You can be as good as you want to be just take more time than a PC player is all. The ######### can be done though.

Yes I know I can have a keyboard on my xbox but that cost money and I don't have that right now.sorry this is negative vibes I'm ina bad mood

You can flick on console. Takes practice I know some ridiculous blights on console and Hatchets Flicks are easy to do not sure why you think you can't.

Clown, Doc, and Legion (they obviously have a team just for Legion skins)

  • @DelsKibara said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2467986#Comment_2467986

I just want to highlight this real quick

If you think someone is teabagging to catch your attention, ignore them and go for someone else, let them get bored in the hold m1 on a gen.

The chaser playstyle is often better for you as the Killer because they may be trying to get your attention the entire game. Either by trying to get flashlight saves or by trying to force you into a chase with them while there are still a lot of resources on the map.

That is essentially a free "hooked" survivor if they never go on a generator.

It's one of the easiest to counter playstyles out there but it is also one of the most efficient playstyles out there to waste the killer's time.

If you see a clicky clicky, assume they're just wasting their time and go after a weaker link. More often than not you'll catch them off guard and hook them before they could even do anything for the chase.

Exactly. Same goes for the types that fast vault moments after the trial starts. Anyone who wants your attention give it to them by killing their team in front of them. You will either catch him off guard or have more time to chase him later.

  • Yes to all 3. I have not became great with Blight but I know I can, Nurse you can for sure, and Billy I rarely play but have no doubts if I put the time in I would be great with him regardless of playing on console.

  • The most fun games are games where any side could have won. Could be a 4k at 1 gen remaining, a 1-3k game where they barely made it out. The one sided way the current MM is these route are much harder to get. I personally just want a reason to be rank 1/high MMR. Current system there is no good reason for me to be rank 1 except games where I have to sweat more often. I am fine with that if there is a reason so hopefully the rank rewards comes soon.

When dealing with Boil Over (or even without it), I generally find it helpful to just walk in a straight line and rotate the camera left or right. I seem to carry survivors more smoothly that way.

People give Boil Over flack for being useless (and against killers who know how to properly traverse maps, it is useless), but against killers who struggle more with that, it can be a lifesaver. Even more so with synergy perks.

When I had a problem with it (When I played original Xbox one) rotating camera made it worse for me. Unclear as to why looking at the ground while carrying helped. Either way don't have to anymore also unclear why it no longer effects me on Series S.

Oh and to the main point I personally don't run Corrupt, ruin, undying since most try to hide out the corrupt......meaning totems don't survive long with corrupt. Lethal/corrupt on the other hand is sexy along with 2 others I'm in the mood for.

On top of that you can be on the other side of map when it goes off and in current meta it will go off 2-3 times not long after match starts. I love this perk mid-chase gets me a down most of time. I prefer Undying/Lullaby or Undying/Devour if I run ruin/undying they cleaned in first minute every time. I have decent luck when running ruin by itself so that's my go to on couple killers. I prefer BBQ/pop even on Blight.

Or with Boil Over. Sometimes the killer slugs me and then picks me up and struggles to get through doors or tight passsages. It's saved my ass more than a few times.

Back when I played on my original Xbox One Boil over gave me fits. Could never get through a doorway and constantly got me stuck on #########. Not much effected on my series S but I still stare at the ground when going through doorways seem to help with stability.

  • I think Twins are strong but the most optimal way to play is too slug. That's why I personally don't play them often (Even though Viktor is fun as hell) and I'm sure I'm not alone in this regard. I am still leveling some killers so sometimes it's weeks before I play any of my mains and I got a Freddy Ritual (One of my mains but have not used in some time) and I had fun even got a Mori off of devour. After so many games in red ranks it's sometimes nice to have the simplicity of Pig and Fred. I know Pig's not the strongest but the reason her and Fred are my main 2 mains is the game just flows smooth for me when they are used. I have been playing Blight alot and I have to worry more about what map I'm on (Slides off too much ######### on certain maps), If I'm going to get (what I feel) cheated on a Lethal rush, etc. Don't have those same worry with Pig and Fred I can relax a bit of sorts.

The change I propose would make it an endgame perk, making portions of the map being COMPLETE deadzones at the end of the match even If the killer never went to that area of the map to begin with.

Oh my fault I was under the sense your buff was already explained that it's not going to happen (no shot). Best case either pallets or vaults not both and I'm sure that wouldn't happen. Considering ST is lost soon I doubt any buffs come to the perks but if so best thing they would do is increase the range OR time blocked leaving the perk still butt tier. Increasing the range to map wide for a extended time is the only way to be viable.....Somewhat.

  • Sure the recent spike of split and do gens has caused some wrinkles but it still takes them all being good at chases, split on gens, and me to be on killers I'm not great with and even them I still kill half of them at least. Give me Pig, Huntress, Slinger, Clown, or a few others and it's a slaughter fest still.

  • The perk could be map wide and I still wouldn't run it as I'm sure the timer would be ridiculously short.

1 … 26 27 28 29 30 … 59
