Yeah I get ya. Someone else made a comment earlier maybe they're not as strong in the statistics. The logic killer nerfs over the couple years of me playing has been overused perks/add ons buffing under used in the process. As a 50/50 player I can't help but notice this doesn't seem to work for both sides. Top Flight Survivor perks I remain the same for a long time and are heavily used. Ds and object being pnly ones that got a change. Both are still strong though.
-
I never use PF so could care less....I like you think Clown is better without it. What did piss me of was Bleach nerf.
As for Gearhead I can only get decent value with freddy where as now I believe I can get more value with just about anyone.
I am really excited to try new Gearhead on Plague.....think about it 😎

Again I don't see the nerf unless you mean her add on nerfs from back in the Hour of the Witch patch. Which IMO were unfair. But this patch, both changes seem to be buffs.
Yes bro.

I didn't see a Pig nerf unless I'm just reading it wrong. Letter now only removes 2 of your BT's instead of 3 which is a buff. Last will's negative aspect was halved. It used to increase the time to charge by 66%, so it took longer to get an ambush off. That was reduced. The actual benefit of last will (I think it's a faster Ambush movement or something?) was untouched. Not sure if I am sure missing something or didn't read it right.
They nerfed her best add ons to buff her worst. Seems to be a pattern. Truthfully i believe they want no one to ever die from traps.
-
Would love this
-
Just so I understand noed which means the killer was without a slot all game, has a chance to not proc, even if procs can be cleansed is as broken as infinite fast heals that can be activated 14 seconds into match indefinitely and DH which can be used infinite number of times depending on how many times injured.
Not seeing it.
-
I guess they got to keep nerfing her until the baby survivors stop dying trying to get there inactive traps off in endgame collapse.
-
Okay Timberlake.
Personally I just want to know what their beef with pig is. By no means should anything related to her be nerfed.

Sure, their playstyle doesn't appeal to everybody. Hag and Oni are similar, if you're ok with slugging and camping that definitely helps with both of them too. (I've lost count of how many Michi matches I've watched where he won by having a 3 or 4 person slug.)
Right. I actually try to avoid slugging as it's got to many negatives now (WGLF, CoH, Expo, UB, SG, etc). My issues are not with slugging/camping itself but with a killer only being viable if they slug/camp. Hag/mike have options were as Twins/Oni it just hurts the killer wayyy to much if they don't. Whether its losing your power or wasting 30+ seconds Stunned, switch, travel, and hook.

Yeah, I don't think Twins are S Tier personally. I'm probably more with Otz on that. My guess is they're average to above average.
My point with Otz and OhTofu though is if those two think Twins are good or even great then clearly there's a lot of other people who think the same say. The statement that Twins are bad or trash or whatever has no consensus.
They have them rated high because even with all the nerfs they are still viable. The issue is they are only strong if slugging/camping (more so camping these days). Trying to play 12 hooks with them is more suicidal than any other killer in the game (IMO).
-
My only beef is nerfing b-tier or lower killers because they buffed a couple of irrelevant add ons into niche.
-
Its always the few who ruin it for the many.

Clown's busted perk got nerfed but two of his others got buffed.
Nerfed his best two......buffed 2 weaker ones into weak tier.

I consider myself a killer main at heart but I play both sides so evenly these days which helps me try to remain unbiased. That being said I find survivor so easy these days that I get bored and either play killer or switch to a new game entirely. Not going to lie....I have fun with DH, Boons, and the map advantages but that doesn't mean I am blind to what these do to killers. I still play killer (Use a randomizer at that) and do fairly well but do understand how a group with game knowledge can dismantle a killer very easily.
Played a really good Huntress the other day....I mean hitting crazy shots and downing really quickly. She would down someone and try to snowball because other survivors were in the area. What she failed to realize was I had Boon exponential at the top of the tower/refinery and as she was chasing the last survivor to end the game all 3 of us jumped up damn near instant. Instead of the 4k she was so close to getting this ended in a 1k. Just because I had that one boon that no one likes.
Boons in general are very strong..no need to even play killer to understand that. Survivors always split and work gens leaving very little room for a killer to have a chance and to top it all off all the survivor needs to do is pre-drop, rinse, repeat. The game should not feel easy as a solo survivor it's the main reason I play it for the challenge. If I wanted survivor to be easy I would play SWF.
-
I would be lying if I said I wasn't slightly worried about it though. I don't know if it's because I play on controller or not but the perk already affects me pretty heavy. Takes four to five attempts just to get through a doorway and it is so hard for me to go straight I got to turn my camera to the right to get it to go the direction I want.
-
The only place I see it affecting me his father Campbell's Chapel when I down someone on the second floor of the chapel
-
I am trying to be patient and wait for patch notes. I will say though circle of healing oh, Legion, Ghostface would all be things they would mention if they were being updated. At least dead man switch might be useable....maybe.
-
This sounds so fun and exciting.......I have never heard of this build before and most definitely not with bubba.
😒
-
If you think about it, Deadlock is a lot like NOED. You don't need to do anything for it to deliver a strong effect that is hard to counter by the survivors
Not to be petty (but I'm going to be) but the killer has to play the majority of the game with 3 perks banking on all 5 totems to not get cleansed to even have a chance at value.....not to mention it can still be cleansed. So I disagree with it being for free like DL is.
I do like the buff for Grim Embrace....the current value of the perk does not justify handicapping yourself finding, chasing, and downing 4 different survivors in succession.

Sluzzy, a friend and I have been wondering this for a while, so if you see this we'd both really appreciate an answer; when you play survivor, do you play exclusively solo?
I played a game against him a week ago and he left his team to die. I couldnt cover both hooks but didnt have too thanks to Sluzzy.

What's your bloody game. With releasing another BS overpowered addition for survivors. Bloody skill checks on wiggle meter that's just broken. Two skill checks and bam they escape. So guess no hooks for killers then unless they are right near a hook. You seriously have no idea about game balance. I may have said some ridiculous stuff I want but that's just me using what Ive seen in multiple games and I exaggerate a lot. But then you come along with the most ridiculous idea let's put 'two skill checks' on the wiggle meter. Hit them both your free. How in the hell do you expect killers to get hooks.
- iron grasp useless
- agitation useless
Great job devs. Great job. This is what I mean by the complete and utter lack of care for killers. You don't have any. You're a disgrace to the game developer community right now and you need to sort your heads out and think of balance
There is no way this is how it will work. Quite frankly im glad i dont have to risk destroying my $80 remote wiggling/mashing buttons. Lets be honest killers get an eternity to carry to a hook right now.

I would be more than happy with your list happening. Agree with what some others say about Franklins...no need for that perk to be buffed.

Legion doesn't get an 8 second stun for using his power to down then go for pickup
Id say hes second worst, after twins
No. Twins are still viable you just have to play like a complete douchbag to make it happen. They are still phenomenal at camping. Legion is by far worst @MikaleaWantsYourBoon trapper has slow start but have great snowball potential especially with certain add ons.

I would say i have seen her 4-5 times. I understood the best way to combat her due to me playing her a lot. I feel i am in a good position to judge her since i play her alot. I dont believe at all that she is S tier but a solid A for sure. Loop what you can and as she placing crows move to another tile. This creates distance from the placed crows so even if they hit its not instant dmg. I have only died to one Artist and it was due to my team.

Hex Trump Card activates when all six generators are finished any totems remaining on the map become lit totems blocking the exit doors until all remaining totem's are cleansed. This hex over rides all totem perks present in game at the time the last generator is activated.
I came up with this idea mainly because I feel Survivors need a secondary objective other than just generators and to otherwise lengthen the game as I feel match times are shrinking. I feel like this perk will punish teams that just baseline rush generators and not even be a determent to a few teams.
Adding a couple of stipulations such as overriding all pre-existing totem's means perks like NOED and Devour Hope mean that any Survivors still have wiggle room to complete said secondary objective. I also want to point out that I said "WHEN THE LAST GENERATOR IS COMPLETED" that mean's that the End Game Collapse started by the killer closing the hatch will not activate this perk.
TL:DR Making Survivors cleanse totems seems like a good secondary objective and this kind of fits without forcing it down players throats. It lengthens the game but at the sacrifice of the Killer's own Hex Totem's.
Sounds like a good counter for booners. My issue is how do you repair 6 gens? On a serious note (good luck finding all totem people) hexes are easier to find than dulls....so i think it would be fine.

I just had to make an account to talk about this because I have noticed damn near every killer I go against is camping for some reason, it’s not even “haha insidious bubba” anymore it’s an actual issue where I’m waiting 20 minutes for a match that ends in 10 minutes with me watching the killer stare at me die. I know there’s a penalty to being in close proximity to hooks for killers but it’s nowhere near enough. I don’t know if it has to do with the new mmr but for some reason killers have started to think it’s somehow better to just stand there instead of actually playing the damn game
tl;dr insidious trickster is the new meta
Pretty much killers do this because most trials there are not enough time to play for hooks. To many pallets, ######### maps, boons, etc so they camp to get kills. Issue is this keeps them in the current level of purgatory that their complaining about.
-
Yes. Always felt Inner Strength (or whatever the ######### its called these days) should as well.

Back in September I made a thread asking people what is your personal favorite killer perk that is as popular to you as Survivor will run Dead Hard.
Back then I generally always would include BBQ and Chili on a killer I didn't have all my perks unlocked on yet but now that we are passed that and new perks have dropped since then I decided to update my all time favorite perk of 2021;
No Way Out
When it comes to value, this perk just works. The majority of my games it always has given me that little breath of air at the end of a match to get that one last kill in.
I too have grown fond of NWO. To add different perks that i love to run:
SHPR
STBL
FIRE UP/BRUTAL
Plaything with or without Pentimento.
-
I have played 7 solo matches today and died twice. One was a facecamping bubba and my team decided to all rush the hook. 2nd was a iri 1 nurse and Claire decided to dc on first chase...outside of that its steamroll city. My current build is resurgence, wglf, exponential (loving this perk), Object/BL.
Im not saying killer is a complete terrible time i still do pretty well but out of the 2 survivor is by far easier and chill.

how often have you used lichen? i see it as a huge upgrade over soda tbh. see EVERYONE no matter what they're doing (except lockers) while tping and for 3 seconds.
i guess if you miss them behind the gen then soda would be better in that specific scenario? but overall i don't see it being better in the majority of times personally.
sorta up to preference though, but i'd still argue that lichen is stronger and gives valuable team-wide information in every stage of the game whereas soda is too focused on one thing.
also i do like the brass lighter praise, it's very easy blindness.
I made a comment months ago about leprose. I ran it with MYC and felt its was insanely strong.

as someone how plays both Survivor and Killer, I dont blame killers for camping and tunneling but when you bring Ruin/Undying and sometimes with Pop only to have your totems broken within 2min of the game and for that reason you start camping thats where my issue resides. That is half of the killers who are doing that recently.
Killers dont need to stack gen slow downs to have fun, I main spirit with Corrupt/Deadlock/Grim/thrilling as a build Corrupt being the real only slow down i still have fun and still 3-4k no ruin pop.
Lol...i needed this chuckle. No need for slowdown then admit your build of slowdown perks. Slowdown is more than regressing gens. Sliwdown is slowing survivors gen repair....corrupt blocks gens (slows down gen repair) deadlock (blocks gens slowing repair) grim/thrilling are same boat. Not to mention you are using a top 4 killer on top of that. Good joke...hopefully your joking.

This perk has helped me become a decent survivor. The knowledge of knowing right away where you can go to be safe is crazy. A survivor that should go down on seconds can now hold w steaight to a safe zone over and over.

I've been getting a mad, mad amount of salt about NWO being cheap, as of late, too....in a build that doesn't even run NOED.
People are really stuck on the 5 gen mentality despite the fact that end-game specific perks are sprinkled into the game every now and then.
This talk of is X fair because of Y is bullshit and laughable. The game is made up of mostly RNG which means most things are luck/unfair. Think its fair when pigs traps are removed on first attempt? Or survivors having stacked perks? Rng either destroys the killer or gives them a chance....unless they just suck as killer in which they lose regardless.

Yeah I don't know why 5 gen's matters. That is not your only objective you still have to open the gate and leave you didn't do that you lost doesn't matter what perk came into play. If I have a game where a specific killer is just not very good on this map, every Survivor has dead hard, is 45 pallets, all my hexes are gone in 30 seconds do you think anyone gives a s*** that was a fair match or not answer is no. Escape or die all that matters.
-
I hate Noed. My solo queue destroyed a demogorgon all game and then got killed by noed. Demogorgon went the entire game with three perks. We should get all 5 gens Just because he killed us doht mean yell at the kilker and talks about Noed.
Don't cleanse bones you know you have the chance of noed. Whether he had one hook or 6 does not matter. 5 gens done...does not matter because you still ######### died. I swear people are just...Meh these days.
-
Def need to get good. Takes a team of 4 good survivors amd me using killers im not great with to have anyone escape in my games. Get better, learn maps/tiles better, get good builds on them that fit your style and last...pray for a decent map.
I played sluzzys team earlier and they need to split gens, have mothers dwelling, and boons to get a 2E. GG EZ

I see way more xbox players that can dominate as good if not better than pc. Just faced of against a hook camping hag and she was tunneling on top of that. I was cleansing a hex as she brought him to hook but cleansed a half sec before she hit me. I couldnt find my team but found a chest. I got a med kit, healed, and returned to hook because my team had still not arrived..but werent working gens either. Would you like to guess what platformed they played on? Blight is not anti loop nor is oni an demo wraith there not anti loop if want example you want executioner, spirit, nurse 3 is not a lot and of those 3 two are high skilled required so only 1 is anti loop artis pinh was nerfed
What are you on about? Antiloop means the ability to shut down loops quickly. Blights rush can do that, oni fury can do that, demo shred can def do that, wraith lunge can do that just a bit weaker anti loop but still has it.

Which bad/non-meta perks do you still use a lot?
For me:
- Surge. It's not weak but it's certainly not brilliant - it's just such a satisfying perk to get off.
- Dark Devotion.
- Fearmonger.
- Monitor.
Like you I enjoy Dark devotion, monitor, and surge on specific killers.
Fire up - i used this way more than i should. I just like the boost to everything but it does need an increase.
BW- when i am in the mood i run this often. Its a very satisfying perk to pull off.
Lullaby - 4-5 stacks get even the best players off guard. I run it with ruin, thrill, and pentimento and it overwhelmes most teams.
Fast track - this perk has came in clutch more than a few times for me. Also I like the sound que when activated.
Stake out - idk why i just do.
Q&Q - its really hard to not use this perk. Does alot for me and has great synergy with other perks i like (deception, head on, lithe, and flash bang.

I find nemesis to be an easier but worse executioner. When I first started maining Pyramid Head, I found better results just playing nemesis. Until eventually [Im guessing] my MMR got too high for Nemesis to handle, so it was Executioner or learn a new character.
Im glad you like him. However Nemesis can zone very easily without punishment. Vault/pallets are near useless once out of tier one. Last but not least has passive slowdown with infection, crates, and zombies even if they are stupid.
High mmr you wont have fun with any killer.
-
I have lots of respect for PH mains. He frustrates me to my core. At least for me on xbox he takes an eterntity to drop his knife back to the ground and be able to swing. His POTD shot takes so long to pull up, charge, shoot, and travel that the survivor can vault twice. Not to mention the shot is so telegraphed a sloth could dodge it. On top of that his cages dont count as hooks for more than a few perks to activate. Thats the main reason i dont play twins that much.
Skipping DS and BT I am rarely effected by so could care less. I would rather use almost the entire roster before him....Nemesis is leagues ahead of him IMO.
