  • Well i would say, in the best case yes, but that would mean most optimal pathing between gens and doors, good map rng and maybe 1-3 gens done before or simultaneously with the first down, which happens not as rarely as some would think.

But against an uncoordinated solo group that doesn't play optimal, no. Survivor won't do gens immediately, go straight to the next, might take too much time finding the next, lose time checking if the killer really camps and so on.

  • I don't know the correct values anymore but both sides have roughly 100 perks (rounded up to make it easier) with 3 tiers each, meaning you have to unlock 300 perks per character.

At the moment you unlock until level 40 one perk per bloodweb and 2 until 50.

Now imagine wanting all perks on one character and let's ignore bringing all other character of one side to level 40 for the teachables.

That means until level 50 you got 60 of the 300 perk options. And each level beyond 50 gets out 2 unlocks per level, meaning you need another 120 level ups on ONE CHARACTER for full perks. All in all 170 level ups and the later 120 are more expensive than the early 40.

With the new system you level every character to level "150" once (with the early level being cheaper every prestige) and get all perks on all character automatically.

On the grand scale it reduces the grind and keep the ever growing character pool in mind. You only have to P3 the new character and all the old ones get the perks automatically without the need to level them 4 times again, with 27-30 characters that you'll be another 120 (expensive) level alone.

The post isn't about that why are you focusing on that ? You chosen to address that but not the tunneling and face camping that caused survivors to DC?

Maybe because a huge amount of dcing happens regardless of that?

You can play completely survivor friendly and people DC because they don't like the killer even if the player doesn't play the character in the expected "scummy" way.

Also what people call camping and tunneling is hard subjective.

I have watched some videos of a killer that called one gen getting done after 3 hits and a down "they are gen rushinz now".

So pardon me if i and others don't take everyones claim of tunneling/camping/gen rushinz at face value.

  • I don't think the killer really matters. Yes doc and legion are the best to spam the power for deviousness points and so on but at the end of the day just play your favorite killer, equip bbq, go for the 4 stacks, dont care for kills, use your power and play however you want.

Of course you won't get the 32k every game this way but i guess when your goal high BP yield, bbq and puddings/streamer are your best bet.

Beside the core balancing issues with DBD i have one more problem with the matchmaking which is you cant choose to sweat or play casual/fun. You literally have to give up your progress and derank to reach people with a different mindset or your bound to sweat for the rest of your days which is exhausting.

Even that doesn't necessarily help. O have played the last 100 of my 300 hours as a friendly fair killer and mostly intentionally let survivor escape. And I still see 75%+ meta perks often and also often tryhard attitudes.

  • You see them during a Mori but that's it.

The only cosmetics i own are freebies and that's going to stay that way.

If i would play survivor i would pick my favorite, get them my favorite outfit and done.

  • I never lobby dodge in general, neither for obvious squads, special characters, last second switches, map offerings or anything else.

The only time i ever intentionally DCed was against a group abusing a fat shame spot on swamp back in 2018.

Thank you for confirming what i said right before the list: We have plenty of weak Hex perks which require either another Hex or are simply terrible.

    • thrill: is just annoying and does absolutely nothing apart from that
    • hg: lies in the survivors hands when its triggered. Could be when the survivors are already injured. Useless on its own.
    • retribution: again, useless on its own.
    • bf: weaker as dissolution, because it can be cleansed.
    • undying: again, useless on its own.
    • cc: weaker bamboozle. Because bamboozle cant be cleansed + it gives a vault speed bonus.
    • pentimento: useless on its own. Especially in boon meta where survivors don´t cleanse totems. You could play a whole match without the chance to ever use it and even if, you would have to go to a part of the map where you can´t pressure. The penalty doesn´t make up for the time wasted in going there.

Boons are stronger than hexes. For the simple reason, that they can be relight. If a hex gets cleansed within the first 60 seconds of a match, then its gone for good. Not so for boons. Even more, as stated above, the overwhelming majortiy of hex perks require another hex perk to work. Imagine survivors had to equip SG, Detectives Hunch or another totem perk to use boons. They would be considered far weaker.

Don't forget that most hex perks also have additional prerequisites before the effect is even active, like even devour, if you don't get far enough away from a hook and they still manage a save rescue thanks to their perks, you are left with nothing. And before that you had to even find, chase and hook survivor successful without getting denied somewhere along the way.

  • @Murgleïs said:

The problem is that BT is not basekit, when it should be. And I am saying that as a sweaty nurse main. Killers getting free kills because the rescuer doesn't have BT is a stupid game design, especialy in solo queue because it forces you to have BT to rescue and DS in case your random teamates don't have BT. With your 3rd perk as an exhaustion one (mostly dead hard), you only have 1 last perk to chose from.

Meta slave survivors will go either iron will, unbreakable, window of opportunity or coh for the last one. Any original build is throwing at this point. This meta is only good because it fix what's wrong, especialy at low elo.

Wait you tell me you are a nurse main that plays tryhard and advocate buff for solo because you have an easy time against survivor?

Cool, so for you to have a challenge 90% of the killer roster and the killerplayer that don't want to make this game their second job are left in the dust.

This is the reason why sluzzy has such a broken opinion. They mostly play nurse or blight and completely lost the connection to reality that not everyone are treating every trial as a tournament and are looking for the dark souls Ng+7 style challenge in their life.

As far as I know the nurse NEVER had a longer lunge. In fact if my memory serves me she actually had the worst lunge in the game when her moment speed was set to its current value due to it being based off of base movement speed.

Secondly just because you prestige a character doesn't mean you play them a lot. I prestige Michael because when I play him I actually like his prestige cosmetics but that doesn't mean I play him a lot.

Finally her lunges have always looked wonky simply because of the latency and weird auto desist the game has still...For some reason despite everyone hating it.

The latency issue also effects Freddy teleport/Spirit reappearance due to the hit going off before the game properly moves the character model into the correct position.

(Sorry for the unnecessary quoting Warcraft er)

But i think anyone could just have stopped after this:

As a killer main I should know all of those things, Nurse has extended lunge range occasionaly, end of story.

"I have experience, so my subjective and not really proven point is correct, and I don't care what anyone else says."

That is what your comment there boils down to and Is one of the most childish posts i have read in a long time and should disqualify any further constructive discussion.

I thought I was okay with Sadako, and then they release The Drudge who basically just does everything Sadako does, but better.

Actual ani-loop. Map-wide teleports on a short cooldown. Scouting. A passive power that actually happens consistently.

The only thing he doesn't have is on-demand stealth and an instant kill.. but she basically never got the latter anyway, and the Drudge's Nightfall might actually be better stealth since it lasts a full minute and he doesn't have to spend a second getting ready to attack.

Literally the next killer that comes out completely invalidates Sadako.

I hope they do something with her soon-- I really like her as a character.

For your immediate headline question: Money from a popular license.

And yeah just from watching a few videos of dredge and Sadako, hell there is no way i would put out cash when i can get the shard variant that looks a thousand times better and really more fun to play. I love the optic out of lockers, so much jumpscare potential.

    @Jivetalkin13 said:

Pretty sure I heard they were going to look at her. I'm not against her as is, especially sense her power can potentially knock anyone out of the game without even a single hook, so I hope they don't touch anything to do with the Condem build up. Definitely agree she's about to be overshadowed by Dredge though.

Her condemn is a joke when survivor can cleanse it with a tape, that has no real downside while being carried, mid chase.

I would call it "the stars aligning" if she gets to use her condemn Mori.

  • Well, as some here on these forums claim, "the lone role in a asymmetrical pvp game is supposed to be the more stressful".

But over the tike you really lose sight of the incentive to challenge that stress and frustration.

Survivor at least can play together with friends (the reason why i played so much lol) and even gain an advantage by that. Killer on the other hand. 🤷

The promise to play some iconic killer character becomes much less enticing when you feel helpless half of the time because you literally can't do anything thanks to some map layouts and game mechanics.

  • @MrsGhostface said:

This bothers me for a multiple reasons. Sometimes I lose the last survivor if they were on the ground, I have to spend 3-4 minutes looking for them until they eventually bleed out or EGC ends.

As a survivor you have to deal with killers slugging for the 4k (which happens in a majority of games at high mmr, that time wasted adds up quickly) or letting you bleed out to be “toxic” (usually happens if I loop someone for a long time)

I personally think the timer needs to be decreased, or survivors should have an option to “give up” after being slugged after a certain period of time. Just sick of this wasted time, and I’m sure I’m not the only one.

I hope it comes with features like "if nobody is changing perks or loadout in the lobby, the game start immediately" so i don't have to wait the additional minute every game and "if all living survivor are in range X of an open gate they get sucked out and the trial ends" without me having to either feeding their egos and give them an audience or trying to push them out to be petty one last time with dead hard or fainting a gifted hit.

I can't count how much time i have lost to that stuff while never letting someone bleed out intentionally.

True, and when I play killer, it's easy to just wait a second or two longer before going for a hit.. Or remembering who used Dead Hard against you in a previous chase and waiting for them to use it again before swinging at them.

And both of you belong to the club of people completely ignoring the dead hard for distance which is the more popular use by skilled survivor without any counterplay, except for the few ranged/pounce killers.

The dodge can be messed up, the distance one can only be messed up by being too greedy or beijg out o position in a dead zone.

    1. COH is not as top tier as you may think. I barely come across people who use it. Since they nerfed the hell out of it it's no better, in my opinion than bringing self care especially if you are far enough away from the boon.
    2. I can agree with that. Nothing wrong with the way it is now. I think it should be reworked to prevent tunneling, for example, you should be able to use it after every hook save and make the timer for at least 1 minute but if you fully heal or work on a gen it deactivates like it does now.
    3. Dead Hard doesn't need to go. I feel like it is needed since the Killer's movement speed is faster than a survivor and there are too many weak loops, pallets and dead zones for you to not bring it. Want to remove DH? Make those weak loops and pallets better and absolutely no dead zones. Or maybe add an evade action to the base kit?
    4. I haven't seen an update since basically Ruin that a killer perk was nerfed. I could be wrong. Every update I see has made a killer faster or able to get their power back quickly or increased the speed in which they use their power (Ghost Face).
    5. Hug Tech may not be easy for some. Nothing wrong with Hug Tech. It's a basically fundamental in the game like camping or tunneling.
    6. Nothing to say about this one
    7. Onryo could use a nerf I guess. She shouldn't be able to come out of the TV and have the speed of The Flash. The same goes for Wraith which I think should be nerfed too since his movement speed while cloaked is super fast.
    8. I think what more we want out of fixing facecamping is the developers actually talk about it
    9. Honestly I think, as a survivor main, that NOED is fine the way it is. It's a sweaty, last resort perk that increases movement speed and adds the exposed status effect. It does it job just like Dead Hard.
    10. I think making the killer hook survivors sequentially could ruin the game for killers, since like you said, you find the same survivor multiple times lol. I'm not really sure what they can do for tunneling besides putting borrowed time and decisive strike into the base kit of every survivor

    6. Starlost isn't talking about Sadako but alchemist ring from blight. And I don't know why you would think Sadako would need any nerf, her power is completely in control of the survivor and has immens cool downs.

And to wraith, his speed up after uncloaking has already been nerfed but what i get from you talking about seeing no killer(perk) nerfs i assume you have a case of selective awareness and see only what you want. Deathslinger, pyramidhead, wraith, Freddy, cenobites add-ons, everything nerfed because survivor found it unfun.

And to your point about killer complains leading to immediate nerfs, DS took 2 years, keys were changed nearly a year after Mori's, coh took over 3 months to get to it's actual state and dh is complained over for the last 4 years and became more prominent after validation where distance as well as dodge became safe options. And I guess you have boil over in mind when talking about fast changes after killer complains, but guess what, that was on the level of abuse and had to be fixed.

This Oni skin looks very cool. I did think it was Trapper at first though 😅

The concept looks good but i can't imagine it really working with the dimensions looking good, going from a 15 meter tall titan to a 2,5meter oni.

I don't think they will ever really get the feel of the armored Titan right with this.

But that's just me complaining about staying true with source material while i never cared about the other licenses.

I am just often not a fan of pure fan service in that regard, using popular licenses.

You're making a bad assumption here. Guts is so epic his crouch button would be disabled. The man has never hid from anyone in his life - he has no need to crouch.

If someone presses the crouch button as Guts what actually happens is it turns off the crouch button for the other survivors. Leader inspiration.

🤣🤣 Yeah atleast this much would have to be expected.

I think it should be the golden age arc. Casca, Griffith, and Guts as survivors. Nosferatu Zodd Humanoid form as killer. Night of the Eclipse as the map. If we're gonna go all out. Go. All. Out.

    What was the manga?

I haven't read berserk myself but just imagining seeing some of my favorite characters as survivor running around stupidly tbagging and the like would probably really get me to quit DBD for good in a flash. Especially if it was some badass character like guts which as you said would kick every killers ass and the devs would just twist the source material this hard.

Edit:Strangely enough this didn't bother me with the resident evil license. But maybe just because even as character Jill and Leon couldn't do much more than run away from nemesis and weren't what i would call badass 🤔

I dunno anything about AoT but the designs look cool.

Titans in aot are on average as tall as buildings (12-15meter), the biggest even 50 meters, not 2,5 meters or however big oni is.

I haven't seen the concept artwork but i know the source material and squishing a giant of 15 meter into Oni size is going to look like a joke, if they don't somehow do an miracle with the proportions.

And a soldier from the anime is using some fancy climbing gear to maneuver around those giants is going to look stupid running around on the ground, if they give them such an outfit and you feel more about the source material than DBD.

Edit: Also i think using trained soldiers that fight such giants on the regular make really ######### sources of despair and fear for the entity against the normal small killers, just thinking lore and source wise. But i guess that is not going to stop them from using some popular character like Mikasa as survivor, even when it is completely out of character.

Edit2: i have to correct something about titan sizes, as i just rechecked. There are with the exception of special titans later in the series, 5/7/15meter titans with the 15 meter being the most prominent and the giant titan with 60meters. Still downsizing them will end up looking bad in my mind.

  • @Pulsar said:

    that is all.

    Oh god no, really?

How is that supposed to look like? A human sized Eren or other titan as killer? And Mikasa in 3d maneuver gear just running around as survivor? That would just look so stupid 😭

  • Would be quite interesting what the best method to get all perks on most characters would be and how much this change is going to reduce the amount of BP needed.

There was a thread yesterday asking for the amount needed to prestige 3/all perks and there were a multitude of answers ranging from 300million to 750million.

I haven't watched the stream but i am curious how leveling up characters and prestiging them is going to look when there aren't the 70-80 perks and their 3 tiers aren't there anymore in the blood web. I even might come back to farm for the P3/all perks myself just for fun.

  • @Coffeecrashing said:

Oh yes the full stashed HQ with equipment and consumables packed until the roof but everything too precious to use even in the final boss fight.

And rarely will they show gratitude for being a fresh breath of air in the neverending cycle of camping and tunneling or they will still be toxic and call you names because you didnt play to your full potential and they treat you like a noob."

It happens both sides. I don't always write GG, because let's face it not every game is. Though I always write good luck & have fun next. A good deal of the time I get no response from either side. On your point about writing GG when stomped. Yesterday had two games where the killer killed us all at 5 gens. They wrote GG after. That's nice and all, but it wasn't.

I never said it didn't but i only have one sided experience and personally think that the psychological effect of the herd makes survivor more prone to BM. (Subjective opinion)

And my comment was meant as an explanation why many friendly or fair killer like me might've left the game or stopped caring and started bming themselves.

  • @Rokjer said:

I did mention this passage, and as this forum is as ergonomic as the game itself, I have not found how to add your nickname.

You just can't make people respond to you or say "GG" to you. Even if you need a "GG" or any other positive message to appreciate your victory, the problem is not with others. I sincerely believe that you are creating a problem for yourself that does not exist.

Personally, I never talk in the chat - I leave it active to be able to report directly to the BHVR site in case of insults - and I don't see why I should systematically compliment the other players. I don't feel like it, and I don't think that makes me a toxic person.

Well, that's what I understand from your message.

No the silence doesn't make anyone a "toxic" person but what i mean is that it isn't a surprise that when 50% of all responses are negatively (the ambiguous GG upon loss or direct toxicity), 5% are directly positive and the rest is "just" nothing at all, there is no positive feedback to keep playing fair, by the rulebook, for survivor or however someone wants to call it.

And we humans are driven by positive feedback either from others or our body (endorphins or similar, the good feeling of fun).

So if the majority of feedback is subjectively negative or nothing, accompanied by BM in game in any form, then i don't see any incentive for killer (or survivor) to play fair and fun anymore, which was the point i made in my first comment.

I prefer to play casual and fair but when the only thing it earns me is scorn or indifference then the miniscule amount of positive feedback doesn't balance that out and was the reason why i finally quit this game for good.

In relation to the thread topic I think many other "fair" killer player thought the same, left and in response to that the same happened on survivor side when mostly tunneling/camping killer remain. But that's just speculation on my part.

Edit: oh btw to tag someone either quote with the quote function at the bottom of each post or use @"name" like @Rokjer

  • @Rokjer said:

The majority of the time you won't get any reaction (empty after-game chat)

Is that supposed to be a problem ?

Next time maybe quote me if you want an answer? (Just a friendly advice not an attack)

It becomes a problem when the only big alternative (like i said, real positive or toxic responses are the minority when playing for survivors) is a GG but that also comes mostly only upon (heavy) defeat (aka with a condescending aftertaste) and extremely rare upon your victory, then i think so.

No answer/response is also a form of response.

  • @GoshJosh said:

Sorry, but I have no sympathy if you chose to play perkless, had the opportunity to kill the survivor (who you confess you were actually using as bait to start out), and then got teabagged. How does teabagging bother you, when you admittedly decided not to play optimally?

Well their question is, why do survivor or in general all player think as soon as they feel in control they have to taunt and make fun of the opponent aka inducing a negative emotion, frustration/rage, in them?

Why can't they follow the saying "graceful in Victory and defeat"?

But i also know the answer, online anonymity brings the worst out of everyone. As soon as there are no consequences for their behaviour many people just let their unsightly tendencies (no matter the intensity, before you come at me with having a thin skin) run rampant.

I personally think that even anonymous one should stick to the manners they learned during their upbringing. Not that this would help depending on each individual.

I just am so confused like it's just awful like every match is the same thing no matter how I play I have tried all the ways I can think of to like make games as fun as possible I go out of my way not to tunnel people and I don't camp yet it's like they have some kind of vendetta and I am just lost. Like I get it's just a game, so I shouldn't feel unhappy about it because people can be awful, but it's actually starting to get to me like I don't have fun these matches I don't get super mad, but it really doesn't make me happy. Like I don't understand how or why anyone would get mad at a perkless killer or Demogorgon with meme addons, every game feels like the survivors think I took away everything they cared for or something because they genuinely are awful.

Like I'm not one of those people who are like oh this made me into a basement Leatherface main, but I don't really feel the same way I did about the many posts complaining about tunneling or camping anymore, like genuinely don't. The constant games like this I have played just really made me realize that survivors aren't much better when it comes to toxicity. When they literally take it out on anyone they come across just like the toxic killers, like if anything I won't wanna play much anymore because of these experiences that I had so eventually they are just going to play against constant people with the same mindset as them to make the game as miserable and unfun as possible for the other side.

Also sorry for my venting, like just really felt a bit sad after those games, maybe it's time to take a break from dbd for a while I suppose lol maybe the nicer people will come back during the anniversary chapter if not I'm not sure what ill play because dbd really was my favorite game.

Same, i played for survivors for roughly a year or more. I played like normal but gave them massive room for save, ignored freshly unhooked survivor even when they were in my face, only slugged survivor on death hook and even gave newbies or bad survivors free escapes. Also no gen slowdown perks.

But you can't expect anyone to appreciate or validate how you play.

The majority of the time you won't get any reaction (empty after-game chat) or ggs when they really stomped you (from subjective experience). And rarely will they show gratitude for being a fresh breath of air in the neverending cycle of camping and tunneling or they will still be toxic and call you names because you didnt play to your full potential and they treat you like a noob.

  • Afaik, i haven't played since January, can't condemned be cleansed by inserting a tape into a tv, even mid chase?

If yes and that's still a thing, what a joke.

Im a pretty good blight but I do abuse hug techs quite a bit. If I could get used to not running shadowborn I could slap on Ruin, Undying, Corrupt and Pain resonance for eg with double speed and literally 3-4k 95% of my games, tunneling, slugging, camping included.

My main build is Shadowborn, Agitation, Corrupt and BBQ with blighted rat and crow and I 4k most games.

And now try again without 4 gen slowdown perks and/or the other mentioned strategies, since that is what survivor are constantly complaining about and won't stop until they got nerfed.

In that regard they aren't any better than complaining killers.

I mostly suicide when I don't want to play in that match anymore. It's that simple. The reasons for that are mostly controlled by the killer.

    Camps me at 5 gens.

Camps a teammate at 5 gens.

Hard tunnels a teammate off a hook despite attempts to body block and through a borrowed time early in the match.

Note that killer is winning isn't one of the reasons. I want a fun challenging match, where I at least of the hope of doing something fun/cool.

As a fun aside, last night I was in a 2 man swf with a friend who just started playing (<25 hours) and in 2 back to back matches she was targetted instantly (lethal pursuer and bad luck) and was out of the match before the first generator was completed. So of course I killed myself, so she wouldn't be stuck spectating for 10 more minutes.

I get the killers aren't breaking any rules, so this feedback isn't necessarily targetting them. This is for BHVR. Fix your game, fix your MMR, and give survivors especially new survivors tools to survive more than 15 seconds in the face of very toxic strategies. And if a few killers out there read this and think, wow, that playstyle is pretty dreadful face and changes it up just a bit. That's cool too.

    Sad fact:

I for example played FOR new survivors: normal gameplay but definite avoiding of tunneling or camping and slugging only for survivor on deathhook to avoid an early death and room for pickup, so i speak from experience.

But survivor aren't appreciative of this playstyle. You either get no feedback or in rare cases slightly good or the whole spectrum of bad feedback.

Survivor make this playstyle way less enjoyable.

The devs here are all about stats.

I consider myself to actually be helping the community by doing this.

1: Nurse players will not have fun in matches if survivors DC/suicide/afk.

2: Devs will see Nurse kill rate and DC rate, so there must be a problem.

And then they will shackle nurse down so survivor will have more fun and DC less but the fun of the nurse player is left aside in the decision making.

  • I would say since the implementation of a semi working matchmaking with SBMMR (which got worse over time again btw) the game has evolved into tryhard or get tryharded.

Killer play with maximum kill efficiency in mind by camping or tunneling and survivor have been driven more and more into swf groups either because of the killer playstyle or because they grew tired of useless teammates.

The point about matchmaking getting worse again is that both sides aren't equally distributed among skill levels or whatever. I wouldn't dare to say i knew any specifics about the distribution but the devs have resorted to softening matchmaking parameters to combat growing queue times.

With the effect that middle/lower skill players getting curb stomped more frequently to keep high level players more happy

  • It is punishment for a mindset, not a role in a game.

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

The structural issues within the game for both sides are coming to a head leading to player haemmorhaging and increasing frustration with those that remain but that's just my guess

Thats why some people like me WANTED a "working" matchmaking, to bring core mechanical balance issue to light.

But we also NAIVELY hoped that the devs could pick up the pace to correct those surfacing issue.

It shouldn't be a surprise how naive that kind of thinking was/is with these kind of devs and their speed of development AND sense for balance. But mostly their glacial speed.

If we every see the day that they make swf and solo equal, it will also be the apocalypse for this game since killer can't expect counterbalance changes earlier than 6 months into the future and might leave all together.

  • @Aztreonam78 said:

There are some possible exmplanations in my mind:

    • Solo Survivors get frustrated by their team mates inefficiencies and due to general lack of communications.
    • Survivors don't like going against this particular killer.
    • Survivors get dedicated and get unfairly hit.
    • Survivors lose hope when the killer snowballs hard enough.

And none of those excuse DCs or first hook suicides.

(Not that you implied it but i think it has to be said.)

  • The biggest irony in this post is on one hand saying that the nerf to dead hard would make a nerf to killer necessary and meanwhile saying that the nerf wouldn't make a difference because every survivor would use sprint burst and claiming it would be stronger than dh.

You should either think that sprint burst is stronger and a nerf won't be necessary for balance or that dh IS better and therefore a nerf would be warranted.

Both at the same time is contradictory.

  • NO.

And now without caps lock, if tryhardness and unfriendly behaviour turned you away from the game, stay away. SBMMR only made things in relation to the atmosphere of the community worse.

  • Okay sorry, even i have to say this is the 4th fresh anti dead hard thread i see TODAY.

Why cant anyone just post it already created threads instead of making their own?

I find the ensuing "discussions" in them entertaining but it's getting ridiculous, on both sides with some topics.

  • You just have to shut off any ambition to win in any way and just play for the gameplay itself.

Most often not satisfying, especially since many survivor are so bored that annoying and taunting the killer is their only fun, but it is what it is if you don't have the mental endurance to put streamerlike hours into this one game so you can kick their butt reliably.

If it were stronger people would be using it more than dead hard

Nah it's the same logic why wraith and probably legion in the future have been and will be nerfed after the buff, it's just easier to use efficiently.

They called buffed wraith and legion right now "braindead easy" and that they have to be nerfed but the same logic doesn't apply here where the "worse" perk is easier to use but doesn't have to be nerfed.

  • What @GoodBoyKaru has said, nemesis whip is a pushing out vertical wall made out of several cylinders horizontal oriented and stacked above each other. If a hip high object is in the way then the lower hitbox cylinders will be blocked and the survivor will be safe.

Same by the way when you hit diagonally through windows. The cylinders have a certain width and if you hit too close to the window frame the whole2 will be blocked.

  • Wellin my eyes that was the point of bringing a working MMR, showing that when you put equal skilled players against each other, how the balance really is.

If you want to balance something then you have to keep some variables fixed so you can focus on some fixed point to balance around.

But until SBMMR, ranks where at a point where everybody with enough time could reach red ranks and the matchmaking became muddled and all ranks would be matched with each other aka the old rainbow rank lobbies.

But the problem is exactly as you say that the top, with the balance at the moment, isn't having a good time and bhvr is once again way too sloooooow to update/improve upon it and instead used the easy way and made matchmaking muddled again by widening the criteria.

They implemented a new system only to change it instead of balance so that we are back to the old times. Except that now we don't even have a colored rank or anything that can give you a hint anymore, that you might have been screwed over by matchmaking or what your personal skill level really is.

Everybody thinks they are "the best" or rather at "high MMR" but no one really knows and for all that we see on the forum we might just be back at a point where the difference between high ELO and everything else might not even be there matchmakingwise.

You don´t have to be a nice killer. But preventing the game from becoming more toxic, isn´t exactly a bad thing.

Yeah, but even without feeling to be entitled to recognition for it, it gets quite tiring and exhausting trying to be nice without any appreciation.

The large majority just says during end game chat:

    - either nothing (console or not), especially when you as the killer "win" aka kill ANY number of survivors

    - or give you GG, but that also mostly after a heavy loss on your side, which then often feels condescending when it only happens in such conditions

A few are still the same toxic sludge, even when you obviously gift them the 4e and an also small or even smaller portion show appreciation for going not full throttle on them. Aka i still play like normal but go out of my way to avoid the usual "tactics" and depending on how the trial went push them out or kill them.

But in the end it doesn't feel any rewarding to be nice outside of just personally being that way when the majority of the time you still get taunted at every opportunity and the like (that's still in a majority of games, the stuff above is only for after game chat).

  • Bingo, but i don't want to be "calling names" 😜
