Unfortunately, Sadako's condemned is just a gimmick

Yes, I know, there shouldn't be too many kills from Condemned. The fact is that right now this feature just feels way too weak and not good, and can be easily ignored by survivors for the most part. Who designs something like this? (it might work for low MMR) one can only shake one's head....

  • Well, these are the same people that designed Nurse, Blight full of exploits, released Twins and broke the game in the process, and need literally years to fix 1 perk that was supposedly bugged (Deadhard)

Not expecting anything from them is foolish.

  • Afaik, i haven't played since January, can't condemned be cleansed by inserting a tape into a tv, even mid chase?

If yes and that's still a thing, what a joke.

Inserting a Tape is faster than the Killer successful attack cooldown, so yes it's possible to do it mid-chase, and you're even rewarded for it

  • Bhvr have never really been good at designing licensed killers

Myers is outdated with some busted add ons

Freddy is boring and his add ons suck

Bubba was awful at launch and is still too good at camping

Pig is luck based and her chase power is mediocre (not to mention afk pig)

Ghostface is a rehash of Myers with a broken mechanic (revealing)

PH is actually good but his add ons are awful

Nemmy is just PH 2 with broken AI zombies that get stuck on trees

Pinhead isn’t terrible but his box is a pain for solo queue and his chains mess with controller layout

Sadako is a cool concept but her stealth and condemnation don’t do enough

Overall none are particularly great characters in design or strength

  • I don't understand her condemned. They said that they didn't want it to be that big of a thing, but outside of the condemned, she has teleports that take a long time and can be disabled, and an ok undetectable ability even though she clearly is suppose to be a stealth killer.

But the other problem is she also has add-ons that increase the condemned. If they didn't want condemned to be the main effect why are there so many add-ons on her that affect condemned? If they did want the condemned to be the main thing then why would they make it something that doesn't occur often?

I feel like there were 2 separate teams working on Sadako, 1 team wanting condemned to be strong, 1 team wanting condemned to be super rare.

At this point I kinda want them to rework her to make condemned an endgame mechanic and make her stealth and map mobility more for during the trial and obviously making them better.

I'm surprised survivors actually keep paying attention to condemned once they're on death hook. I usually just let myself get full stacks at that point and Sads will often then drop whatever she's doing and potentially throw the game just to get me. There's barely any benefit but it's not something they get to do often so they can't resist.

  • We know that you shouldn't be getting condemned kills unless the survivors are really incompetent but the problem is that most matches survivors won't even need to deal with the tapes. With Pig, they do need to deal with the RBTs, so it works as a slowdown but Sadako isn't like that.

  • I'll keep saying it but her condemned is just too easy to ignore. Never touch the tv's and you only have to deal with one stack of condemned every 100 seconds. The only downside is you get a very loud notification that she's teleporting near you and you gotta run. 100 seconds for one stack of condemned kinda sucks outside of certain maps like The Game and and Iri video tape. Honestly I wouldn't be against the idea that while a tv is turned on, survivors build up condemned over time within it's radius at maybe half the rate you'd get from holding onto a tape. At least that it forces people to eventually to go deal with the tvs.

  • Its supposed to be a lore gimmick, nothing more.

  • The issue I tend to notice is you lose more Condemned than you can possibly gain if you're just going from one TV to the next.

Maybe the instant mori is too much to make Condemned more dangerous. Maybe make it something like Executioner, where you can get some reward for a fully condemned Survivor (like they become Exposed to help with Onryō's weaker chase), get the mini-mori if they're on death hook a la Pyramid Head, and in exchange you can make Condemned something that builds up much more easily and becomes much more dangerous to leave alone.

  • Her Condemnation is too weak, I get its meant to be like Pigs RBT where you shouldn't be expecting kills but it feels less impacting than those. Remove that part of her kit and she's a Wraith that traded movespeed for teleporting. If touching Condemnation is a no-no, can we maybe have it so her manifest is given depth, like maybe being able to move through pallets and vaults, ignoring certain collisions that sort of thing since it already ignores survivor collision.

PH also has a lore gimmick, the difference is that it actually works in his case.
