I think the buffer isn't bad but the buffer duration might be too much.
-
No.

Mr X and OG Nemesis.
-
I'm kinda ok with wesker's. I feel like it's kinda hard to do much with him. Oni however. I'm kinda disappointed. Especially with his toilet paper hair.
-
I think the skins are mostly fine. I won't be spending any money on them but they look fine. I'm really bothered by oni's blight hair though. It looks like toilet paper.
-
While I agree loops that connect to other loops are a bit stupid, I feel like this image isn't really the best example.

And that's why you manage your power meter. Like I said you don't want to always run dry. A lot of times a quick down will set you up for more than a slug will. As someone who plays oni quite a bit, the power denial isn't really hard if you're smart in the early game and take chases you know people aren't going to hold you forever on. But then other times you get The Game and play pallet breaking simulator. Or RPD where you have to make impossible turns. Still these few maps don't make him a bad killer.
Also the twins update doesn't come in this mid chapter, which is an odd choice. My condolences to all 3 twins mains out there. They've had it rough.
If managing your power is getting 1 down then you literally are better off with leatherface or billy. I know you don't want to use up all your meter but getting 1 down with your power consistently would literally mean you are a worse billy. I feel like the argument of knowing which people aren't gonna loop for a long time doesn't really work considering that all 4 can be good and then what? You don't get your power for a long time. This isn't every game but logically if this can happen it means that it's a skill issue on the survivors part.
I don't think oni is bad, but I do think that most maps are not fair for killer at all except nurse. Blood lodge? Strong tiles everywhere. Fractured cowshed? Strong tiles everywhere. The Game? Like you said pallet simulator. I feel like it's not a few maps that oni can struggle in. It's more probably half the maps maybe even more.

Oni's strength isn't just his insta-down but his lethality. He has an insane chase tool and that's where most of his strength comes from. More often than not you aren't going to get multiple downs, and that's fine. He makes up for it with his short chases. You will be able to slug more than 1 person regardless. You might not get the hook, but it's a lot of down time on a survivor. So really if you get one down then hook another person you have only half of the team able to do anything. That's massive for slowdown.
To put that in perspective, 2 people can't do anything for about a minute and another one has to go for the save. Only 1 person can be working on gens. Even then that's risky. Because now I can most likely come back to that slug and pick them up if they have been recovering. If that person crawled away that's even more time bought for me. If 1 person keeps working on gens their efficiency is still taking a blow and putting them in potentially even more danger by not supporting the team altruistically. Because now I can intercept that survivor and make the save even harder. Yes, that slug will get up in due time. But it wasn't a total loss for me. Because now I'm guaranteed the team has to heal at least 2 people back to healthy and make sure they're safe the whole time.
As for Twins, this should be around the time for their updates to roll out. And I highly doubt bhvr would make this change and leave them in the dust. After all this update is part of the updates they're doing to make the game more enjoyable. It doesn't make sense to have a slugging killer still around when you're trying to remove slugging.
People will have to adapt their playstyles for sure, but I don't think this is going to kill the game.
Yes oni could make it so that you can essentially make half of the survivors unable to do anything but oni also literally has nothing when he doesn't have blood fury ready. He is an m1 killer and as we both know, an m1 killer isn't exactly threatening. So if he can only get 2 people down and can only hook 1, then that won't be really wort that it could take an oni a long time to get his power on almost every map and maybe 3 gens at most will pop before then.
They also said that they're gonna optimize consoles for a few years now and uh.... yeah. I hope Twins's rework isn't lame and they actually are fun as opposed to what is now.
I also don't think it's gonna kill the game but it definitely will cause problems specifically cause of the killers mentioned and swfs.

Candy man.

Solo Queue isn't as bad as people like to say.

That is true that SWF squads will find a way to abuse this, but I think it's not too out there to assume these sorts of things will be lined out as time goes on. This change is going to take adjustments for a little bit, but it will be fine in the end. Twins, yea they get screwed pretty hard, but their rework is supposedly coming very soon and I'm sure that their power has been made to fit this. Oni doesn't get screwed too hard I don't believe. You only really get around 45 seconds of power and you don't want to use up ALL of your gauge every-time you use it. So largely this will only punish him for making bad decisions.
They said that twins is getting a rework for a pretty long time. Also you literally won't be able to slug 1 person as oni cause if you down someone and go after another then the slugged can get up because of the increased recovery from unbreakable. If you can't go down even 2 people with oni's power you literally are better off using cannibal or billy.
-
It definitely will against swfs and certain killers that rely on slugging such as twins or oni.
-
I think the majority is solo but the higher the mmr, the more swfs.
-
As survivor, 3 or more escaping. As killer, Killing at least 3 or more.

I feel like you're heavily underrating how much the hit cooldown and injured speed boost gave to survivors. As someone who plays both sides - zoning because of it has been easier and as survivor I physically feel that reduction and think that I would've made it way,way further pre 6.1.0.
I also play both sides and I can tell you that realistically, those changes don't make a big difference outside of maybe a deadzone but that also brings the issue of, why are you at a deadzone.
-
HIs Zombies need to be fixed, He needs most of his addons changed/buffed, and his tentacle needs a better hitbox.
I personally would prefer a complete rework but I doubt that would happen.
-
Yeah I've been getting a lot of red bar and yellow bar connections not only for me but other survivors. Started happening after they added incentives though I don't know if there is a correlation.
-
Sadako rework, HUNK with his voice and his own chase music, something to stop cheaters.
-
I think it's more fun to play but not by a huge margin.

With all the positive changes the game got for killers i honestly can't understand why FELLOW Killer MAINS still tunnel and Camp and more often than not that's whats happening.
And then there's this stigma for some killers, like Bubba, it's unbelievable the amount of times you face Bubba's and it's unbelievable that almost every single one of them is just contempt with Camping and tunneling, why!? Have you never seen a good killer play Bubba!? I admitedly don't play Bubba but that's simply my personal taste, i'll always gravitate towards stealth killers so Ghostface and Sadako satiate that for me. Aside from that I can always rely on Legion and Pyramid Head for my variety.
Gens are slower.
You kick faster.
You recover faster from attacks.
Survivors have less of a speed boost when hit. These last 3 combine mean Survivors get absolutly nowhere unless they are already in a strong position but even so you can afford breaking 1 or 2 pallets and make that safe zone useless for everyone for the rest of the match.
Killers still have ABSOLUTLY DISGUSTING BUILDS. Plaything Pentimento is like having a 1 hour match. Pain Res + DMS is still a thing. OverBrine is effective. BrineEruption is effective and applies Hindered. Jolt has high value because of being a free access perk.
There's no real reason to Camp or Tunnel. Just use Discordance or Lethal Pursuer ( which is absolutly Busted!) or BBQ to get mid match information. LEthal Pursuer should not even exist. It effectively eliminates any attempt at stealth in the early stage of a match.
Yeah survivors can bring Distortion, or in my case when i play Survivor, Object of Obsession. You wanna see me spawn? Well i wanna see you too.
The best defense Survivors have now is Shift W, running early. Which to me is atrocious, it's a skilless thing, just make a decent path towards loops and get away soon enough to make it not worth for the killer to chase you.
Most people now can't use DH because timming is required, i've failed plenty of DH usages but i'm still gonna use DH, when i get it to work then it really works and most often than not killers gave up on chasing me, a third hit becomes too much but if that's the case why do people play Nemesis? You gotta 3 hit with the Tentacle so if i manage to DH a Tentacle then it's a 4 hit chase.
IT's so odd to see killers now refusing to chase people when before they'd chase people for minutes and only complain if gens got done but now that they can make gens incredibly slow, they don't want to chase.
I honestly don't think it's Hyperfocus or Prove Thyself that are issues regarding gens. I barely run into them and i barely use them.
My 3 most used Perks as Survivor are DH, Lightweight (which admitedly helps immensly not being chased or escaping chases) and Object of Obsession, call OoO busted all you want but i'm still taking a gigantic risk, i've been tunneled because of it, but i also made sure to waste as much time as possible for killers. My match results are pretty much the same as when i don't use OoO, i'm actually more of a team player when i don't run OoO so i'll probably just spend more time doing gens and Totems if i'm not using OoO but then i have to rely on my teammates ability to run the killer while i can do gens or Totems.
I feel like your HEAVILY overrating the changes to the hit cooldown and survivor speed after getting hit. It's noticeable but to go as far as to say it makes the survivor go nowhere? That's just wrong.
Pentimento + Plaything really only works on indoor maps. Otherwise you don't need to break the totems.
People not being able to use dead hard is very clearly a skill issue. Either that or bad connection/servers..
I agree with no real reason to camp (outside of endgame) but tunneling is still kinda of a necessity for certain killers and a good chunk of maps with said killers. How is lethal pursuer busted? It's good but it literally only can help once unless you bring another aura reading perk which means your using two of your perk slots just to find someone.
Just cause you don't run into Hyperfocus or Prove thyself often doesn't remove the fact that they are issues.
-
The slamming the hatch till your nearby makes sense if their depending on how bad the exit gates spawns are for them. If they are really bad the survivor pretty much gets a free escape.
Also logically speaking if they're boosted then they should be losing not winning. This feels like a teammates being bad issue as opposed to killer playing in a "toxic" way.
Also like Tsulan said. There were a lot of survivors who suicide on hook and ragequit so those killers are higher than they should be.
-
I've been dodging cause a good chunk of cheaters usually are on the higher end of prestige levels. That's what I've experienced at least.
-
Yeah I've been getting cheaters fairly often recently.
-
Considering how Nemesis isn't really that special outside of the zombies (That don't work still), I think it makes sense.
-
I wonder if they changed something in the background cause my matches are also very off. For survivor I'm getting baby killers with decent survivors, While for killer I'm getting ridiculously strong survivors on killers that I haven't played in a long time.
-
Trickster, Legion, Sadako, Oni, and Nemesis.
Trickster - Console. I literally can't aim and from what I've seen it seems that I'm not the only one with that issue.
Legion - They kinda are fun cause running and stabbing is fun, but the lack of a power when they shouldn't use frenzy is kinda bad.
Sadako - She feels so gimmicky and weak. I definitely think their gonna buff her or rework her within this year cause she is kinda unhealthy for the game.
Oni - Same as Legion. You can't use your power sometimes so you literally have nothing.
Nemesis - Nemesis is a little fun for me but he feels so incredibly underwhelming. He feels like he should have so much more in his kit.
-
Ok sure but cheaters.
-
I don't really care for a twins or deathslinger blight cosmetic due to them being pretty much extinct. Though I am excited to see a Oni one and potentially a Dredge or maybe even a Sadako one. I'm also curious how a Trickster one would look like.
-
It doesn't really help considering that those kills could include suicide hooks. It also doesn't help cause how many of those are solo Q and how many are SWF? How many are on nurse and how many are on billy? I feel like there isn't enough info.
-
I haven't had any issues with the new dead hard outside of cheaters but they're cheaters so.
-
I still don't understand how bp incentives work. Is it based on the entire playerbase? Is it MMR based? Is it Region specific? What determines bp incentives?

Baba Yaga is just replaced hums, overall theme is the same and unique.
Hunk expected vs Gegion ost is another story.
By that logic why would wesker's theme be good on HUNK? HUNK isn't a skin for wesker he's a skin for legion. Also they could just make a remix of his RE2 remake theme so it is similar to legion.
-
The HUNK skin not having HUNK's voice.
-
Other games, read forums, youtube, twitch. Pretty much anything else so I don't waste my time.
-
I think that it's kinda on the weaker side not only against swf's but solo too. It requires you to kick a gen, hope the gen doesn't get finished before the first down, down someone, and hope someone is on the gen. It's pretty useless against swf's and even in solo Q it feels kinda weak. Whenever I use Eruption I only get 1-3 screams for the entire match.
-
Around 3 average.
-
If you mean current corrupt then yeah I would like that.
-
Or maybe rework Nemesis all together. I think he's kinda fun but I feel like he could have been more accurate and more fun and a lot less janky.
-
Green Bunny Legion. I don't think it's bad but I just never use it.

But he has unique animations and bit different voice effect.
It's still frank's voice though. His animation also looks really goofy.
-
When they have unique animations and voices, sure. When they don't? Absolutely not.
I bought HUNK and uhh.... I'm not very happy.
-
That's a really difficult question. There are so many maps that are unbalanced. For me I'd probably say Springwood.
-
I don't know if he's weak but he definitely doesn't feel like he is working as intended.
-
I've never seen it so I can't comment but if it looks like weskers then that's a problem.
-
Doesn't that happen in every new killer release? Also there still isn't an incentive to not tunnel. Camping besides endgame, I think isn't really smart unless the hooked person is literally about to die.
-
Kinda? I can't tell cause my frames are so bad.

Fair point, but have you ever been face camped at the EG and your randoms team mates just leave you there cause it was to risky? That is the most afwul feeling in this game
Yeah but that isn't the killers fault then that's the survivors.
-
Where else is the killer gonna go? The 99% exit gate?
-
Well yeah it's still good. It's just not busted anymore. I think it's fine.
