I haven't had any obvious hackers but I have had a few subtle cheaters. For all I know I could have gone against more than a few and I wouldn't know.
-
20 min is too much. I'd be ok with 10 min.
-
Huntress. People complained about deathslinger and Pyramid Head when they can just hold their m2 and you can't do anything about it but huntress literally does the same thing.

Killer mains just need to stop thinking that a win is only getting 4k. According to the way MMR works the killer is playing 4 different games so each player they hook and sacrifice is a win. So really only killing one survivor should be considered a win for the killer, that's how the game sees it.
If your MMR raises logically that means the game considers that a win. Getting a 1k isn't a win in that case.

As a survivor it's near impossible to overcome when just 1 survivor DC's early or dies from early mistakes/stupidity... The survivors role is almost imperative on the help of other survivors.. So The strength of the survivor comes from the strength of the group as a whole. Not only are they weaker but they depend on each other as a means of "winning". If 1 survivor outmatches a killer that shouldn't mean that every survivor deserves a nerf.. The killer made a poor choice on which survivor to target. I've had numerous matches where survivors try to goat me into chases and i've ignored them and done perfectly well because I focused on my objectives instead of letting my emotions get the better of me and rage on a single chase. If you ask me many killers don't consider this and are victimized by certain survivors because they continue to commit to a chase they should've otherwise abandoned and take no accountability for their own error. That being said OFC certain things for survivors are OP esp the new "off the record" rework.. which in my opinion is trash.
So it's difficult for survivor not cause of the killer but cause of teammates. That doesn't sound like a killer problem that sounds like a matchmaking/ solo Q problem.
Normally a game is balanced around higher level players not necessarily the top but on the higher end. If we are under the assumption that the one player getting chased isn't getting chased by a bad killer than that means there is a balance problem. It makes sense for every survivor to get nerfed as that is the higher potential for survivor. Why would anyone balance around players that aren't good or haven't played that much?
-
Should killers have to play a near perfect game to get a 4k? No.
I'm not saying that killer shouldn't have any challenge, I like having a challenge as killer, but having to play near perfect and still not getting a 4k let alone a 3k with almost every killer isn't exactly balanced nor fun.

It's just not true. They win most of the matches without much effort. Just watch their streams and tell me how many matches they lose out of 100.
You care to tell me who to watch? Cause I watched Truetalent before the patch and he was not having an easy time and I'm pretty sure otz would have done the rest of the killers 50 win streak if it was that easy.
-
Using streamers as a way to gauge skill for killers is kinda bad considering that most streamers usually don't run full meta such as otz. And when they do they don't get an easy 4k or 3k they usually have to heavily sweat.
-
For me it's mostly good but there is a 2 big issues.
Killer is fine for the most part, still feels kinda weak at times but I think that's maps being badly designed. 1 of the big issues is tunneling. Tunneling seems even more appealing as opposed to not which isn't good. Gens are can be pretty fast still but it's not stupid anymore. I think they should do something about tunneling but I think they need to do something for the 4v1 aspect cause if tunneling is basically removed, it becomes almost impossible for most killers to get a 2k. Maybe add a built in earlygame mechanic or make endgame more threatening for survivors and stronger for killers.
Survivor is pretty alright, there is a huge difference in how good survivors are in chase (I wonder why) but I'm sure there gonna adapt and get better. The other huge issue though is solo q. I don't know how but there are so many people in solo q who are really bad or are literally doing nothing. I actually can't tell if they're throwing on purpose or not sometimes. Swf's are still fine though.
Overall I think the update is good but solo q and tunneling needs to be fixed as well adding a better way of getting/killing survivors.
Side note: I thought a meta change was supposed to change the meta for both sides not one side.
-
I've been finding survivor matches fairly quickly. As for killer it's a little longer but it's never more than 5 mins.
-
It would need to be longer than 5 seconds and I don't think 20 meters is small enough but other than that I can kinda see it working. It doesn't really fix the problem about camping completely but it does something.
-
I think that is a pretty good idea but it definitely would need to be an optional thing.
-
No. I feel like it's more so that the few strong perks survivors had were really strong, why would you give them more. Now I think they can maybe start adding stronger perks for survivors but back then it was kinda obvious that wasn't a good idea.

It was coal tower. What is considered sweatiest stuff now? I don't think even 4 BNPs with max charge toolboxes would change the outcome. I don't think that if they managed to finish 2 gens instead of 1, it would make significant difference in the fact that the current legion slowdown meta is utterly broken.
So one of the maps that people say is more balanced. I'm not completely sure what would qualify for the most sweatiest stuff but I don't think bringing flashlights, empathy, calm spirit, 3 boons on 1 character, and bringing a brown medkit and a yellow medkit with 1 extra heal is that sweaty.
If I remember correctly bnp is bugged but if it wasn't It would make a difference due to bnp not being affected by thanataphobia.
-
It's definitely more balanced in the swf vs killer aspect, still not completely balanced but better. Solo Q however, is still bad and according to most, it's worse now. I don't understand why they don't do the idea of seeing what the other survivors are doing. I don't even think that would be enough but it's still an idea that should be tested.
-
I don't know what it's like for other people but it's not the camping, tunneling, gen speed, the shorter hit cooldown, the faster pallet break, it's none of those. It's how well the survivors are looping and for some reason they are doing worse. Even though nothing changed about the looping besides dead hard.
-
If you ignore the fact that the survivors aren't bringing the sweatiest stuff and they managed to get to 1 gen, then yeah, it's not exactly fun for the survivors. Also I see that it's macmillian but what macmillian map? Cause there's a pretty big difference between coal tower and ironworks.

My queue times are longer but not 3+ min longer.

Those are really old. Like really old. I'll admit that I was wrong and solo Q has more players then swf players though the numbers would be a little bit more even then the chart shows as time has passed and we have gotten some pretty good 3rd parties such as silent hill and resident evil.

No, the less speed boost is not bugged. Its on patch notes. They decreased it.
If you combine all the things you just said its a big difference for the killer.
Thana is the worst, some killers such Plague and Legion got a huge buff from that.
No I know that the less speed boost is a thing but there is a bug where you don't get a boost at all.
Thana didn't get changed much though, however I do agree thanat plague and legion is NOT fun. I've definitely experienced it more then I would have liked. Like I said I think they should change the gen time to 85 just to see if that's a good balance and maybe reduce the numbers on thanat or at least change it so it works better for everyone while also reducing the numbers.

You realize that most people are solo q right? Stats showed so.
Can you show the stats out of curiosity? Also that doesn't really explain the 2nd part about solo Q not being the only thing being complained about.

Yet here you are asking why a lot of people are complaining. Your comment just answered your whole thread.
About Solo Q? You do know that a very, very large portion of dbd has swf's right? I'm not saying everyone is a swf but seriously do you think the only thing that people are complaining about is solo Q right now?

When you're icon portrait is of legion and you make a thread to demean soloQ grievances i won't even bother wasting my time reading what I expect to be a condescending or rhetorical post.
I haven't played Legion since they got a rework. I just haven't found a killer that I want to main since. Also I said solo Q is bad not good.

it's not just this update, this update is the straw that broke the camels back, it's a multitude of problems predating the updating, solo has always been a miserable experience and now it's a slightly more miserable experience, the update itself isn't the issue exactly, but killers mains dont understand and assume everyones mad about DH, which is false, idgaf about DH i use lithe
I mean I agree solo Q sucks. It always has been. For some reason the devs didn't "buff" Solo Q the same chapter they buffed killers.

If you stun a killer and they have enduring they can m1 you if they end up on your side before you can vault now.... I love it /s :)))
That was always a thing I'm pretty sure.
-
@ThanksForDaily said:
Lol, it's not DH. When will killer mains understand that? Probably never.
It's the whole killer buff. STBFL 2 built in, survivors getting less speed boost after a hit, faster pallet breaking, increased gen speeds, Thanatophobia, camping and tunneling is buffed, anti tunneling perks are dead, solo Q also is completely dead.
No guys, its DH. 😒
When I played killer that stbfl was barely helpful as there was always another tile, the less speed boost I can't tell cause I think it's bugged right now, the pallet breaking is not that helpful as I mentioned before, there is always another tile with a pallet, the increased gen time (not speed) is noticeable and I think it should be decreased to maybe 85, Thanataphobia isn't that big of a problem before but with the increase gen time it is? So it's not thanataphobia then it's the gen time, though they can nerf thanataphobia if they don't decrease the gen time cause gen sim isn't fun, camping hasn't been buffed nor tunneling however anti tunnel got nerfed (for some reason), and Solo Q has been bad for a really long time pal.
While this is all true and some things need adjustment, I said in the post that chase times are noticeably shorter and it's not cause the pallet breaking speed nor the shorter hit cooldown. Maybe it's cause the speed boost? Or maybe it's cause, dead hard. Like I said in the post, I don't know.

Delete dead hard from your mind and think about all the basekit buffs killer got without any survivor buff to compensate.
Does the Basekit BT not count as a survivor buff?

I’m not saying dead hard is better, I’m saying you blaming the game being worse for survivors just because of dead hard is not it. It’s about all the other basekit buffs killers got.
I'm not really saying the game is worse more so that the nerf showed a difference when someone brought old dead hard vs not having it. it's more a comment on the survivor than the game.
-
Well to me, If 80 is too short and 90 is too long, why not go 85? If that is still too slow or too fast, increase or decrease accordingly.

Yea, the people who still care about dead hard are killer mains using it as an excuse to ignore all the other buffs they have gotten.
I can't tell if your saying dead hard is better and killers are trying to draw attention to that or if your trying to say something else. Cause to me it makes 0 sense for anybody to say dead hard's nerf is a good excuse to draw away from buffs.

Boosted killers getting easy kills they don’t deserve.
Boosted survivors not able to last 3 seconds in a chase.
MMR not putting anyone where they are supposed to be
If it was just Dead hard that was nerfed none of this outcry would be happening.
Devs did a big bad.
I feel like MMR is the biggest problem in this and how the devs collect data. Obviously collecting data from the lower mmr is necessary cause you can't ignore them, but if someone is trying to balance a game, doesn't it make sense to balance around high mmr?
-
@Marigoria said:
My build has been kindred, bond, inner strength and lithe for months now.
I don’t care about dead hard, I’m sure most don’t either.
The problem is gens taking way longer (more 50 seconds total basekit) + killers still stacking slowdowns on top of chases ending faster for killers now, because their basekit chase power was also buffed.
Plus all the tunnelling and camping still happening because it’s easier now.
Plus solo q matchmaking being garbage.
I heavily don't believe that most people don't care about the dead hard change.
I don't understand BHVR's choice in the meta change. If they wanted a meta change it would be less slowdown on killers and less strong loops but they both are very prominent things if not more.
I've yet to see any camping but I have seen a few tunneling.
Solo Q has always been bad so that's not really a fault of this update in it of itself.
-
@Killing_Time said:
Thana is literally GODLIKE on Legion. I've been playing him non-stop with Plague.
It always has been good on legion and plague? The extra 2% doesn't make it difference it's more so the extra 10 to gen time.
-
I like the Legion mask even though it's a recolor but that's it.
-
It seems ok? I see a lot of survivors trying to force it which is a bit dumb considering it's suppose to be an anti tunnel perk.
-
While I don't think that everyone who runs meta is bad, there are definitely a pretty considerable amount of people who aren't that good without certain meta perks. I don't think I have to mention which perk I'm talking about but after it got changed a lot of survivors have a noticeable difference in their gameplay.
-
I mean I feel like changing strong loops to be weaker or have some mindgames would be better.
-
I've had a artist and a pinhead but no sadako's. Though the pinhead was cheating so I don't really know if that counts.
-
I haven't gone against anything like that but I have been going against a lot of subtle cheaters.

@fulltonon said:
Survivors doesn't even get 32k bp for most matches lol
Well yes but I'm saying that it will literally be next to impossible for certain killers such as myers to even get max deviousness and sacrifice not cause how strong they are but because you literally can't get the maximum amount.
-
I want to play him but I don't have any perks on him. I'm waiting til the update releases.

I want to wait but I want to prestige 3 a few killers and killer gets more bp so unfortunately I'm gonna have to play killer.

Map Design. I think it's talked about a decent amount but not enough.
