No, you can pick yourself up at any point during the match with no perks. It's not just at the end.

Are you sure it's not only after only 1 person in the match is up?

  • I don't get why they removed the getting yourself up part. The basekit doesn't matter. That's for end game "Last man standing" situations. What about the rest of the match?

  • So what you're telling me is you wanted that auto-mori kill for free?

More and more I do believe some killers in this game think this is PvE.

Nah mate, thats beta low-MMR pleb talk. No hating, though, to each their own.

But my survivors are most often tight-knit, well communicating and perfectly coordinated death squads that totally wreck my face. I can sometimes get one or even two, but its no fun. After losing a couple of games things relax a bit and I can actually enjoy the games against a coupld of normal (for me) good survivors, ending most trials with 1-3k, with the occasional 0 or 4k. But should I get a win streak and get like three or four 4ks in a row, the sweat death squads are back.

Also, even in the manageable matches, a lot of them are running DH, and they are using it to great effect. DH, btw, seems to be the best indicator if you are in the higher-ish MMR regions. Last season I smurfed my account for the first time in order to break through the Iri 2 and Iri 1 wall, and once I had lost a couple of games, suddenly the survivors were noticable less skilled and DH disappeared completely. Like, it vanished. Good survivors love the new DH, as it is really strong if used well, but everything below "good" won't touch it, because "its now garbage, nerfed into oblivion".

You're allowed to be delusional. Even if factually incorrect. Keep dreaming!

  • To be fair, I don't even pay mind to 99% of killers. Usually they're just doing their job, and despite most of them playing extremely toxic, they're still a killer whose job is to kill you.

I blame survivors. They're guilty in most cases: Because they don't repair, they waste time, and go down in 10 seconds.

Then again, if a survivor with 200 hours get matched with a tournament Blight, is it really their fault?

    So, I guess, it's Behaviour's fault ultimately.

Killers don't play fair not because they can't, it's because they dont want to. Or are you going to tell me a nurse with starstruck on midwich with range addons that decides to tunnel at 5 gens did it because she is an oppressed killer?

The maps could be reduced by half and killers would still camp and tunnel.

It's not that "they could be reduced and they would still camp and tunnel"

They want them smaller SO they can camp and tunnel more efficiently.

    Big difference.

  • After 6 years of having a killer with legal cheats at her disposal, people have assumed they will just move on when they face one and hope for an actual match next.

  • Yeah, I definitely hardly disagree. Especially with how match making works in this game.

  • MMR is a myth. Anyone who think/thought "they're high MMR" is day dreaming. It's completely random and only really works when you're absolutely fresh new and you play your first 2 matches. If you survive twice after that, you get dumped into the general pool.

  • It's easier for me to remember the ones I see every match.

    1. Nurse (like 70% of my matches)
    2. Blight (20%)
    3. Spirit (9%)
    4. 1% rest
  • The situation we are at now can be explained by the following factors:

    1. DbD used to be heavily survivor sided at launch. This spread thousands of videos and memes about killers being clowns, and gave the game a reputation. The developers have this complex of making killers as powerful as possible now and overcompensate.
    2. These forums are heavily killer sided and dedicate themselves 24-7 to cry and whine about every single thing that benefits survivors in every way. You can also see it in a lot of Streamers that are killer mains. Very entitled, crying for buffs and nerfs left and right. Behaviour listens to these peope.
    3. They want to fight the "pay to win argument" : With this motto: "tHe MoSt PoWerFuL KiLlER iS FrEE" (Nurse). This is one of the biggest reasons she hasn't been balanced. No matter what, they will always throw it at people how the most powerful (though her being powerful isn't the issue, her being completely broken is) killer is free. So there's no pay to win.
    4. They only really care about 2 groups : Dedicated killer players (to keep the game alive) and SWF (money, big numbers of players). And those two groups have been enjoying constant buffs and cookies being thrown at them for years. -Nobody- cares about solo Q. Solo Q is like the middle class in societies. They pay every bill and suffer every penalty.
  • First mistake : Playing solo Q

Second mistake: Thinking most of the users of this forums see this as any sort of issue (this forum is heavily killer biased).

Yeah, this is pretty much the average solo Q experience, with 1 exception: Most of the randoms are probably way more incompetent than you are, thus will go down faster, thus there's less time for gens, so less gens done, so everyone dies at 4 gens.

Sincerely, Behaviour "We were unhappy with kill rates" game Studio.

  • Why would anyone bring this perk outside SWF?

    Answer to the thread: No.

  • Trash tier together with 90% of survivor perks. It might be 95% of the survivor perks, I would have to actually count.

  • It's not that Deadhard is amazing, it's that every other exhaustion perk is mediocre at best.

Sprint Burst being the only real contender that isn't really a Chase Perk, but actually discourages starting a chase to begin with. Lithe is whatever and you can't always rely on having a window, and Balanced Landing is very map-reliant, and with the passive being gone now with exhaustion it's just a whatever perk.

Repeat with me, it's not that survivors only like using the same 4 perks, it's that survivors only have 4 actually useful perks.

  • I don't think giving up against certain situations should be in any way punished. Because if you are going to determine what is proper and improper gameplay, then let's start banning people who do nothing but explore the map and occasionally loot.

"if they give up it affects the other players and puts an extra burden on them"

So does a crouching Claudette in a corner doing nothing. Do we ban the Claudette?

  • Keep in mind that there's a good number of killers who demand the game to force kills for them. There's some others that like to work for their kills and have some challenge, but as you can see in this forum, a few others would make winning key-bound. if they could press a key and automatically win a match, they would and call it balanced for X reason.

These are the type of players that Behaviour has been cattering to for a few years.

  • I don't mind that you copyed my Sadako post, but I truly and passionately hate Nemesis, so I can't share any builds. His zombies are -permanently- on me, and it tilts me savagely as a survivor. Also, I just find him boring in general.

Just play the better version: Whiskas.

tell me how to make her strong, make a post or something if you havent already.

I looove her to death, and figured if I was a previous Wraith main I'd be good. But I have the worst games with her :(

I was a Wraith main too! I feel it's the natural second choice for people who mained Wraith. Sadako is truly amazing.

    https://youtu.be/uYNGi-W4Np0

Here's one of my recent plays of Sadako in The Game (it's still a super strong survivor map despite not being too bad for Sadako, it has a thousand safe pallets). Generally speaking, for sadako you need:

    1. Great knowledge of the maps you're playing in. You have to know which sides of the maps are strong, what kind of tiles and pallets it can spawn, and how you'll approach the different loops.
    2. Know when to drop chase/when to commit. This is crucial for a killer like Sadako, whose chase power is slower compared to other killers like Blight or Nurse. Generally speaking, you will be fine if you get a first hit in (using Sloppy is better for wasting extra time, you can also combine it with Save the Best for Last) and only commit if the survivor isn't rushing straight to a very strong loop (shack, a strong building like Crotus penn Asylum big version), otherwise getting a hit in and going back to generators watch is best course of action.
    3. Teleport through TVs A LOT more often than you think during chases: Not blindly randomly teleporting to any TV, no. And not only AFTER you hook someone. Teleport as often as you can. And, more often than not, this will throw survivors off. Let's say you go to a generator and you see there are two survivors repairing, one disappears and you chase the other. If you're not downing them fast enough, teleport back to the generator. You will most likely catch a survivor off guard. Also, watch for TVs in the path of the survivor, if it's in the proximity of where they're running to, sometimes this will guarantee you a down. (watch in the video minute 2:20)
    4. Pick a 3 gen: This is best for killers like Sadako and Trapper, though it works for all killers. Basic killer strategies. Ignore the furthest away gens. Pick your little generator playpen, and don't commit too much outside of your playpen. Drop chase if you must.

Last but not least, people tend to underestimate Sadako. Use her powers a lot. Demanifest and manifest in smart ways, teleport through tvs as often as you can, get a few hits in, break a couple pallets and drop chase. Every time you come back to those survivors, they'll be weaker and you'll be stronger.

  • Yeah, fellow survivor main, survivors only get FREE, GUARANTEED safe unhooks now.

Also, solo Q is too easy, I have an escape rate of 106%.

Didnt we have a thread with the EXACT title yesterday?

Because every new day it's a new tunnel.

  • Yes, fellow survivor main, show these survivors how their pesky perks take no skill unless they're nerfed to the ground!

Calm Spirit and Pharmacy now take skill, unlike before.

  • MacMillan maps like Shelter Woods and Auothaven maps like Wrecker's Yard, and also Midwich. Full of deadzones, tiny, death sentences.

  • But have you seen the upcoming new cosmetics? There's even a princess costume!

  • Yeah we really need an AUTO FILL bloodweb mode.

  • Tell me how you're either a Nurse main or only play SWF without telling me

Just kidding, but how people even realise or get bothered by these things is puzzling to me

What I don't understand is why they didn't just bring it more in line with Wiretap?

Like just make it 33% gen progress instead, it's not like Blast Mine is some OP perk able to be wildly abused.

Imagine though, if Blast mine was 33% instead. The amount of... nobodies that would bring it.

Literally nobody would still make it part of their build.

    Precisely this.

I mean, imagine Blast Mine gave you the mine bag if it's not used, and it could be activated with a FIVE (5%) percentage of the gen done. Who the bloody duck cares? Would that make that perk meta or even strong? Absolutely not

  • @Chocolate_Cosmos said:

Why so many people are mad for such bad perk? It's not like it was popular or great perk anyway.

Did it need nerfing? No. Did it need buffing? I quess maybe? Would that be good perk even if it is the old version+ buffed? Nope.

They could make it good though. And it -should- be good. Every perk should be good to the point you have issues and struggle deciding what you want to bring. Would buffing it to 20% instead of 50% gen completed and return if it's not used, make it meta?

    NO.

    Would that be op?

    No.

    Then why not do it?

  • No.

It went from F------------------ tier to F-------------- tier.

  • Another survivor perk that was bad before, and it's now even worse. And counting. What's the percentage of useless survivor perks now? 97%? 98%?

Good thing they performed a meta shakeup. I'm still looking at you, PHARMACY.

    Calm Spirit too.

The way you butchered these two meme perks that were bad to begin with.

I guess I am playing against 1 percent of survivors every game then.

I never camp or tunnel because I want to. Unless you consider hooking a survivor after hooking another one tunneling-sure

I proxycamp the hook during endgame or when I know there is someone around it.

People still use the "but it's the only objective !!!" argument ? All that ever turns in to is this. Anytime someone says about tunneling. THAT is the killers objective. To kill you

You have had the forums filled and ridden with constant crying and moaning about gen rushing, pallets, and anything survivor related. Then in a way lower proportion, survivors crying about their own issues. Everyone cries. Thank you for letting me know, that after 6 years of playing both sides for thousands of hours, the killer's objective is to kill me.

I would know, I get tunnelled every match. Hence I bring meta perks.

Hence killers complain about meta perks and tunnel, and bring meta perks themselves.

Killers, who tend to be the whiniest and complain the most out of both sides, complain about the gen speeds blabla, and survivors complain about tunnelling, nothing strange in my book.

For me, it is odd to complain about the killer in my matches. I'm way more focused on the other survivors, who are usually completely useless, because this game's MMR doesn't work, and it prioritises queue times over skill matching. So I will be having decent team mates one match, and then have to deal with literally deadweights bringing me down so in order to win, I have to get chased for minutes, make no mistakes, then repair 3+ generators myself, unhook everyone, and pray I get lucky with the RNG in the maps so I can get away in the end.

  • Godpallets : 99% of survivors treat them as windows, instantly drop them and they're gone.

DH: 0,5 seconds duration and how broken and buggy this game is, it'll fail more often than it works.

Genrushing: That's literally survivor's only objective

99% exit gates: not an issue, it has its pros and cons

"dO i HAvE tO BriNg DisCOrDanCe aNd TerMinUs EveRy GamE?"

Welcome to dbd. Survivors are forced to bring Anti tunnelling perks and camping/repairing perks every match. Otherwise if the killer decides to tunnel and camp (and 99% of them do every match all the time 24-7) you are defenseless. That leaves survivors barely no room for having fun with different builds.

  • So I can just be moried right away first chase I get because the 200 hours Claudettes got hooked a million times?

    Yeah, no.

Yes they do. I don't get teabagging/insults on all my killer games. But then again, I also dont sweat, dont tunnel, dont camp etc.

I don't think he understands a killer match without all those components you mentioned, sorry.

  • Same. it's Wesker Wesker Wesker Wesker and Wesker. It really makes me not want to play lol

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/345855/when-do-you-know-its-a-skill-issue-vs-a-game-issue

Skill issue is for when the game's Balanced

Survivors don't need to do anything there are 5 gens 4 people They can do a gen under than 30 seconds and they'll tea bag you for not being able to kill the entire team under 1 minute

So it's only game issue there's no skill issue to begin with i literally hit a survivor 5 times during a chase and didn't die you tell me Is this skill issue?

Tell me more wrong things, please.

I enjoy reading so many untrue statements and misleading, mistaken affirmations

  • I'll answer your questions:

    1. You're probably not that good no, you probably are just okay.

2.99% of survivors are beyond incompetent.

3.Twins are not common so people are not ready for them. They don't have anti slugging builds, and they don't know how to react against them

4.Twins are extremely annoying and really strong, for all the other reasons I mentioned before

  • @Ryuhi said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3179574#Comment_3179574

You're 1 of 4, so yes you're supposed to lose chases eventually if the killer focuses on you. They are sacrificing pressure on 3 other people to do so, its not because of whatever pity take you want to put on it. My point is that you have tools to use to prevent it from happening but you're complacent with complaining when you get caught for not using them, or bemoaning the inevitable if they cared more about singling you out than even trying to win the game. Drop the pride for five seconds and either learn from the L or take the W and move on.

I'm not supposed to lose anything if I win the chase. Just like, I'm sorry you have to hear this, you shouldn't be winning chases against survivors that are better than you. I know this is what's been like lately, this is what Behaviour has allowed a few entitled killer mains to believe, that they deserve a kill no matter what.

No you don't.This is gonna sound like an old person ranting, but *back in my day* in 2016 and 2017, you actually had to be better than the survivor you downed. Now anyone can freshly start a killer game and stomp 99% of randoms. Killers have been given so many in built mechanics, crutches and buffed them in power so much that you would have to try to lose on purpose to get a 0k.

  • You're not hitting survivors 5 times during a chase. You're hitting them, at most, 3 times. And that's if they manage to time the 0,5 Deadhard with a million latency, bugs, and hitbox issues this game has. You could push it and be hitting them, at most, 4 times if they happen to have MoM active in the 0,000000000000000000000000006% situations you manage to activate MoM without throwing the game first.

The "fun" aspect doesn't exist if you play Solo Q, so if you don't find killer fun, your only choice left is to look for a 4 premade SWF squad.

    Good luck

Its funny you mention that, because non-potato survivors can force bloodlust to reset by forcing killers to break pallets (or even doors.)

Its almost like the people complaining about it might be either projecting or flatout ignorant to how the mechanic works. Getting a killer to t2 or t3 bloodlust basically already won you the chase, its just a matter of how much they're after that sunk cost: Meanwhile most survivors don't even bother keeping a mental timer to have an idea of what tier they might be at, nor routing so that they will be at a strong pallet they can force a break at once past the tier 1 threshold.

If I triggered Bloodlust 3 without getting hit, I won the chase indeed, and I shouldn't have to get hit just because "Behaviour, this survivor is better, intervene and down them for me. I'm entitled to win"
