Then just play without tunnelling or camping to give yourself a challenge.
With stacking slowdowns this isnt even a challenge. Hell, playing S-Tier killers even without 4 slowdowns is still too easy.

Literally half of my matches tonight were full of tunneling and camping killers. I had a match where a Pig tunneled me for 4 gens, with an active trap on my head. She waited out the laughable 5 second BT every time.
Please just revert the DS stun to 5 seconds so survivors can actually have a chance against this tunneling nonsense.
The issue is, even if they would revert the DS change, tunneling will be still overly prevalent due to all the other changes that just benefited tunneling. Same goes for (proxy)camping.

I guarantee you the devs did not create DBD wanting killers to manage where exactly they hook people; they were to simply do it. They allowed all hooks being destroyed permanently, but surely we can chalk that up to an oversight. Killers manage hooks by keep track of how many times they've hooked each person, and if they have any scourge hooks. Otherwise, it's overcomplicating the role to the point of hilarity for no real reason at all. It's like if survivors could only work on 1 or 2 of the last 3 gens because they did too many in one area earlier in the game.
Resourcemanagement is an elemental part of this game. This also includes hooks.

Read perk descriptions.

Not every killer camps and tunnel. You're putting all killers under an umbrella. Not EVERY killer hard tunnels someone out of the game. That's a lie and you know it but you say it because you want this conversation to go into your favor.
Killers are running slowdowns yeah but they are different ones and many are using perks that are for chasing focus rather than gen defense. Okay so some will stack on 4 gen defense perks so what? What's so different from prepatch? You faced it before so face it some more!
The game isn't in a worse state it's in a different state.
Literally every killer plays like this now. That one out ten games that doesnt is just luck. The game was hardly ever in a worse state.

Here we go again. We already had that exact discussion. Stop repeating it if you still cant handle numbers.

Yeah, you just described yourself with that 😂
I've seen your posts. Try killer sometime.
Nah, i surely dont play killer while its so busted.

No, I'm happier playing survivor because I see more different killers and different builds.
Not to mention my grind has automatically gotten better as I had every survior and killer at least p1 before the update.
I'm glad that many perks got changed so things feel fresh. I never ran dead hard or ds so this patch didn't make me worry except for wglf and spine chill(hard hearding in one hear)
Yeah I may not escape my games as often but that was the point of this update, to get kill rates up. I'm having fun and many others are too. One bad apple doesn't mean the whole barrel is spoiled.
How can you see more different builds? Every killer runs the the same slowdowns. Every killer hard tunnels the first out of the game. Its always the same no matter the character, no matter the actual skill. The game is in its worst state for like 4 years.

Try playing killer. Playing only one role isn't very good.
Bad player issue detected.
-
How about hook management on your own? Its not that hard.
-
Nice sarcasm.
-
Oni blood orbs bugged? Silent nemesis whips? Invisible demodoggo? It's all fine as long as its killer sided. Just shows how bhvr wants the game to go.

Biggest issue the game had, was that it was balanced around casual surivor gameplay. Which made killer extremely stressful. Now the patch changed that a bit towards equalitly and survivors are freaking out how unfun the game is. Well newsflash, thats how killers felt for 5 years.
But instead of adapting, or "gitting gud" how survivors always preached when killers complained, they just give up on the smallest inconvenience. Which ruins the game for everyone else.
*claps slowly*
The people that don´t enjoy the game currently, should just take a break instead of sabotaging the game for everyone else.
The game wasn't balanced around casual survivors. The game was balanced around casual at all. Not its just balanced around crybaby killers. Playing killer before was a skill issue now its so stupid that characters don't play different at all.
-
So, bhvr still not up to revert the update even though its pretty much obvious that this patch made anything worse as long you're not an entitled killer main?
-
Nurse is hard to pick up. She isn't hard to learn. Big difference.

It’s not just “people”, you cannot compare the competitive pro’s to your average nurse player. An average nurse player with get absolutely dogged without addons.
What do competetive players have to do with that?
-
They changes barely did anything. Its still the most crutch perk by far in the game. Its just trainings wheels for bad players. Nothing that was associated how unhealthy the perk is was addressed.
-
People already made basekit nurse streaks to beyond control. No, its not just her addons.
-
It doesnt generate a visual cue for the killer. Read patchnotes propoerly.
-
So what exactly is the problem with Fogwhisperer being treated differently? Its their own right to do what they want with streamers associated with them. Its more shady that true tries do get some kind of attention on behalf of Fogwhisperer. He must still be pretty mad about his loss.
-
Bully squads don't exist. It's a skill issue.

yup, I just had a wraith stood hitting me on hook at 3 gens :/ This effects of this update r v damaging to the game :(

As long as hatch exists, it shouldn't happen.
That's not related to each other, but you just don't care as always.

It never was.

Its not about Legion. All killers run the same slowdowns. Its like you play against the same killer every game now, cause it makes gameplay far too easy for killers.

In that case...
Remove Exhaustion perks. They're just crutches that bail survivors out of bad situation that they put themselves in. It just frustrates killers needing to win a chase again
Remove anti slugging perks. They're crutches for survivor teams that go down too easily. It just frustrates killers needing to win the game again.
Sounds ridiculous, doesn't it? They're all tools that one side uses that are neither inherently good nor bad.
Whataboutism at its best.

@Thusly_Boned said:
Solution: people should be running regular BT on top of the basekit. Not sure why more people aren't doing this.
That's exactly what shouldn't be the case. Bt had to be basekit as it was as perk. Nothing else. And the perk needed a complete rework afterwards.
-
Survivors are not allowed to get something useful. That's the statement from bhvr throughout the latest patches.
-
I spent 1,55 mio bps for prestige 3 on dredge without any perks in it and using the cheapest route. That's x3 is still much less than old way to level through each character and the new one itself.
-
Or we just get rid of crutches that affect gen speed at all? It just makes killers lazy so that their bad plays are still be viable, and it frustrates survivors staring even longer at a progress bar.
-
Here we go again. How often do you want to make threads like this?
-
@playhard said:
see their prestige, the higher their prestige the harder game will be. You will be looping so long.
Makes no sense as prestige isnt related to skill, just to playtime.
-
The time two survs use up healing one is the same waste as the time they would sit together on the gen while thana is active. Its just a lose-lose-situation as survivor vs legion. Also legion just frenzys you anyway again. its just not worth it to heal. and against plague its another lose-lose-situation: slowdown or power. both still massively benefit from thana. its just a fake change.
-
Ah yes, suddenly everything changed. Its a miracle! ... its obvious a regional issue if this is even the truth. Like all EU players are still having long killer queues and instant survivor queues all over the day.
-
"Consistency" is the new excuse for everything unreasonable.
-
Funnny to see all the killer crying in vein for a single perk while getting some other stupid combo back in the same patch. Killer hypocrisy at its best.
-
Why running MoM when you can just run DH? Both just doesnt work.
-
A change to Thana was inevitable. They didnt calculate how much more gen time Thana will add with those extra 10s. Without those 10s nobody would play a 2% buffed Thana other than Plague and Legion. But guess what? Before 80s gentime and now 110s is a huge difference.
-
Sp now we are all forced to be 4man swf on comms? Cause otherwise this is completely impossible.
-
Calm Spirit nerf was completely unreasonable. And Iron Will was totally the wrong way to go. Its now useless. The only benefit a perk that meddle with sounds has is all or nothing. If the killer can hear you it doesn't matter if 75 or 25%. The moment the killer can hear you it's over.
-
Those people dont care for Bloodpoints, they never did. You just have to make it baseline impossible to progress the game with this flaws.
-
Basically every second killer is running Thana these days, while before it was just those two at all. Maybe thats reason enough to undertand that something wrong.
-
Another "boo boo survivors"-thread from someone with a tinfoil hat?

Again, so you are saying the following statements:
- High level SWF players are fine, we can't balance around them because it'll hurt the 99%
- As such we need to buff nurse and twins, and nerf pig, myers, trapper, plague, because not doing so hurts the 99%.
If you agree to one of those statements you must agree to both. Because both would imply balance around the 99%. If you don't agree, fine, if you want to try and say 1 is good but the other isn't, then anything you say becomes invalid because it is filled with an obvious bias for one side.
How often do you want to repeat yourself? And how often do you want to ignore my words?

Do YOU even play this game? If Legion is running around hitting all those non-injured people they're not actually tunneling the person you're saying they're tunneling. And if they DO hard tunnel a survivor they're not stopping the other survivors from having at least one of them be healed. (And it only takes one survivor to heal to slash the penalty from 20% to 6%.)
Also Plague doesn't stop people from healing, they can use the fountains hypothetically any time. You just have to be a little careful on the timing of when you use the fountain.
I guess this isnt worth any further discussion as your totally naive on any matter how the game is palyed.

If they're in the game and the developers have stated that they're not something bannable then they're fair game. Plus,no one said you need to bring them all,you could just bring OTR (which is 3-4 perks in 1) and do well with just that alone.
Don't get your hopes up about camping/tunneling being removed,it won't happen.
OTR is hardcountered by tunneling off hook. Its nothing to compensate for cheap tactics that shouldnt exist.

How are you keeping all four survivors injured while you hard tunnel someone?
Plague doesnt let you heal, Legion can do the same and its by far too easy to run around hitting those non-injured and returning to the hook. do you even play this game?
-
@Reinami said:

I'm simply pointing out the absurdity of the argument that we can't balance the game at high levels because "We need to balance around the 99%" If we balance around the 99% one way, we need to do it all ways. Otherwise you are just biased.
Balancing around the 99% is fine as long as devs understand the underlying issues of their statistics. But they dont. And you make the same mistake just talking around numbers.
-
@Reinami said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3106810#Comment_3106810
Those numbers are officially released numbers provided by the devs and include averages across all ranks. We must assume something changed, either the dev's mindset on what is balanced, or that kill rates went down, otherwise why would they do a buff to killers as a whole only 6 months later?
The data doesn't tell you exactly HOW you should do something, but it does point you in the right direction on stuff. If you see that a killer has a 100% win rate, wouldn't you say that killer probably needs to be nerfed in some way? Maybe you don't exactly know how, but you definitely know to look at that killer.
So my point still stands, if we want to balance around the "99%" then these are the things we must do. You can't have it both ways. If you only want to "balance around the 99%" when it benefits one side, then you show a clear bias.
You actually do understand how to analyze data the same way devs do: unreasonable.

It’s not fake. On top of the cap being 20% instead of 22%, also notice how the 12% bonus doesn’t apply with “dead” survivors. So once a survivor is dead Thana is capped at 6% penalty. That should make 3v1 situations versus Legion and Plague easier.
So you get a 20% slowsown while tunneling one survivor out to get the most easy situaton a 3vs1. Pretty good job so far.
