  • Do you maybe know how this was done?

I am wondering if it can be used to have 5 Survivors or two killers in public games for fun...

That's also not really possible for two reasons.

    1. You could just solo queue at the same time as your friends to get in the same lobby to get that reward.
    2. No matter how you try to sell it, giving a reward to people who aren't playing with friends is a reward that you're not giving to people who are playing with friends. Excluding people from a reward is still a punishment. It's not different from giving SWF a bloodpoint penalty.

Is it actually possible to consistently control two friends getting into the same lobby?

Is there any way I can consistently do this as Killer and a friend as Survivor? I want to go up against them in a live match with potentially good randoms on their Survivor team. As my friend does not have any frequent or good DBD players to play in Custom Game with.

Connection wise it's better than other online Switch games, it's smoother than it should be with how crap the Switch wifi is. Performance on the other hand is quite choppy, at least while docked. I hear it's better handheld oddly enough.

Didn't people say performance was worse while docked concerning Breath of the Wild as well? Or was it in reverse?

So we just played against the new demogorgon. Not to bad of a killer. Only a few question and complaints. Charge time seems to fast. what is the approx charge time.

    On to complaint #2

The pallet breaking thing seems to much. My wife was being chased threw the pallet stunned him he broke it and she went down. All at the same time I think that's a problem. Yes he can break the pallet that's fine. But shouldn't be able to hit to. What yall think?

    Vaults say "hi".

How good at looping is your wife, anyways? Is she the type to throw down pallets early or not try to fake dropping them for extra loops?

IMO he needs this. As well as a fast charge time for his pounce for mindgames. But you DO have that username, I don't trust you will have a non-biased point of view...

As much as i like the idea, im just gonna say this

Mettle of man in general shouldn't have been made in the first place.

No, it's a fine idea. It just needed tweaks.

If they want to keep it as it is, they need to make protection hits more consistent, and have ALL protection scores count towards stacks. Even if it then becomes possible to somehow gain two scores of protection even though you bodyblocked for only one survivor (or a Claudette with cloak mode is sneaking around and you bodyblocked for her)

  • @NoShinyPony said:

I haven't seen the developers state that they think the survivors' objective can get done too fast and there is the need to change something.

But this is actually the case. Two Survivors on a single gen get it done way too quickly without factoring in items, Great Skill Checks or perks. Gens themselves need to change. The time reduction when multiple Survivors are on a gen needs to be decreased so the Killer has more time to actually play the game.

People seem to forget that the Killer is just another person who wants to play the game as well. Not a NPC who does not care if they are unable to actually do anything that requires time.

The devs are confirmed rank 20s, as shown by not_Queen's streams. They have a biased POV and balance the game around it as a result.

The counter to this is "They design the game, they don't have the time to play it!"

And to this I say "true". But BECAUSE they don't have the time to play the game, they need to reach out to people of all ranks for input. Not just pure white ranks.

first of all... why I think the new killer is gonna be licensed (again)? Because its a one killer but no survivor and no map, it wouldnt make sense to do a original chapter but only killer, so my guess it is that we are gonna recieve a license one.

Now... Why a Jason one? Why not Pinhead? or why not chucky?

    • He is one of the most iconic and expensive licenses because of the lawsuit, so they would just get Jason but expensive af.
    • I remember one day on Morf's stream I asked if it is possible to get Jason, and @Peanits answered: "Nothing its impossible" and thats the thing, they never say a straight up NO (like they did with the jeepers creepers license)
    • Why not chucky? because he doesnt really fits in Dead By Daylight, I mean, they did a new skelleton for The Demogorgon, but he fits in the game lorewise and gameplaywise, and I think chucky desierves a own game
    • Why not Pinhead?: Lets be real, Pinhead is not THAT iconic like how is jason (maybe because the 166362 films that he has) Also, Pinhead doesnt really chase, h just use cenobites, a lot... so how they are gonna manage to do a lot of controlable characters on only one killer? I dont think they would, Im not saying they will never add Pinhead, but i feel like Jason will be first.

    Friday the 13th The game:

    • Friday the 13th the game doesnt own all jasons in the series, there is the reboot and the Freddy Vs. Jason version (Which surprisley its the same producers (Platinum Dunes) who did A Nightmare On Elm Street 2010 reboot (the license that we got in the game).
    • That game is dead, no more updates, so Dead By Daylight might buy the license.

So if we really get Jason... what version should be get?

    • I really think the 2009 version its gonna be the indicated for the game, it fits perfectly and he would bring skins (The Sackhead)

And finally... the thing everyone is gonna say; "the Trapper is Jason".

    • yeah and Hillbilly is Leatherface and we have both, same with legion and Ghostface, and the same could happen with the clown and Pennywise or Wraith and predator, So thats not really a problem, Im gonna leave a power idea that would really fit Jason from the 2009 movie.

    Jason Power Idea:

If you have something to say... pls leave it on the comments and be respectful:)

I was pretty happy with my first game playing legion, but probably does need at least a small buff

You had only one rank 2...

Did you mori everyone? That would explain why all of the skulls next to the names are the normal "dead" skulls instead of the "sacrificed" ones...

Also, WHAT is WITH those Survivors?!

Lithe, Bond, WGLF at rank 5? Aftercare at rank TWO?

Where is Adrenaline on these sets?!

Tip: Legion Pin is one of Legion's greatest add-ons TBH. The ability to instantly break pallets by vaulting them is amazing.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

You can already use a key to open the hatch, reveal the killer, or be used in lieu of Bond.

That’s already pretty damn strong. Especially with someone on the team running Open Handed.

    Spotted the Tru3 fan.

Keys are so unreliable when it comes to hatch escapes, as the user is much more likely to die beforehand or be unable to find the hatch.

"Reveal the Killer" Have you... SEEN the key add-ons?

That add-on burns through charges quick, and don't forget you have to spend precious charges "channeling" it before you actually see the auras. It also only reveals Killer in a certain range. You could probably SEE the Killer within said aura range.

If that's "so damn strong", why does nobody use key? Much less those add-ons?

Oh, right, because the key burns through charges before you can even USE it, broken keys are worthless without add-ons and they aren't as strong as med-kits and toolboxes without add-ons!

Yes i do use Ruin, but I think Ruin being needed for most killers is another topic that will probably never be solved.

The part on how "legion doesn't slow down the game naturally" is true, but please don't use stuff like if you mend to 99% and do gens, because in reality most people don't do that. Same thing with don't cleanse against Plague, people use that to say Plague is bad, but 90% of games I play against Plague people do cleanse, so does it really matter?

I'd argue that flashlights can destroy legion at pallets, because if you blind him while he vaults he goes out of FF. Problem is, is that rarely anyone does that, so its not an issue.

Thanks for sharing at least, as I actually get why you want him changed.

    "Yes I do use Ruin"

Case closed then. Legion is trash at purple ranks and your experiences are different because you use Ruin.

I also agree with you about Ruin being needed. They need to nerf the mechanics behind genrushing itself. Gens take exactly 80 seconds to complete without items, perks, Great Skill Checks or any other Survivors. A 2nd Survivor cuts this in half. To 40.

This may not seem like much, but it is a HUGE advantage. 3 Survivors on 3 gens at once is supposed to be the most efficient, but it's the most risky. 2 Survivors on a single gen is safer and faster. Much less time for the Killer to intervene and a Survivor doesn't have to loop the killer as long.

This isn't accounting for Greats, toolboxes, or perks by the way.

I also swear I've heard the devs are balancing new Killers around Ruin. Which makes sense, as they are confirmed rank 20s. And don't consult the playerbase on new Killer designs or anything like that.

Regarding distance. I'd actually like to point out that 10 meters is more than you would think. It's actually more range than any other similar ability.

    • Old Legion - 7.68 Meters
    • Spirit - 9.2 Meters
    • Leatherface - 1 Meter
    • Pig - 2 Meters
    • Nurse - 6 Meters

New Legion is 10 meters, or 0.8 meters longer than the Spirit who has the next longest.

And then you get stuck with a gigantic stun that gives Survivors plenty of time to run. So if you raced to a Survivor on a gen, they can start running.

The 10 meters gained is also rendered null by the stun. As the stun duration is enough for Legion to make those 10 meters without Frenzy.

Frenzy is still trash, I'm disgusted with what it has become. I want my fast boi back. I wanna catch Sprint Burst megheads. I wanna deep frenzy everyone again.

Spirit also has the advantage of not being stuck with any form of stun. So Spirit can make basically the same amount of meters and not have to worry about a stun. Sure, she has to wait a second before being able to actually move, but that's not the same as arriving at the destination and being powerless to actually DO anything. Even worse, Survivors finish a gen right in front of your face, THEN start running.

The huge tier difference is also some proof for my claims. 0.8 more meters is worthless if you can't actually capitalize on it.

  • @Maelstrom10 said:

Wouldn't mind it having some "seeking" addons which point you to the nearest object, similar to a map. things like players, gens, hatch etc. also make keys only lootable via chests with plunderers. turn it into a seeking tool with the ultimate ability to survive early.

also wouldn't mind maps being reworked to always exhibit their auras, and instead track based on what you see - as in you use the map whilst viewing something, and you will always see its aura. have the crystal bead be ultra rare and there to be a rare survivor addon, that gives you global auras if you find them. limit map usage to 7ish seconds default and change the black lock one to reveal the hatch early, and for the range ones to increase the range that objects can be seen when the maps not being channeled. have the killer belongings basekit and only highlight if their within x metres of the player(4-6m), and have its addon increase its range, have it take a charge upon revealing a trap. turn maps into a highlighting tool, that is anti trap active in its use, and allows the active tracking of objects and people

Not sure about what you've said but...

Keys, especially broken keys, should appear with add-ons without Plunderer or Ace in the Hole. They're useless otherwise.

Maps and keys should also only be consuming charges once they are active. This is something that was never fixed and still needs to be addressed. I fail to understand why the devs don't think this is a issue.

Base maps also need to be buffed, I want to see crystal beads used more often. But it never is. Namely because the map is so reliant on add-ons to be good. Or you need a rainbow map.

8 meters is pathetic, especially since it only tracks gens. Make one of the range add-ons base and allow maps to track more gens at once. Tagging them is nice but it should possibly reveal all gen auras instead. Or automatically tag gens within a certain distance.

  • @TheRoyalOwl said:

Some questions for you guys as i don't understand why you guys find him so awful, I usually do pretty well with him in purple ranks.

    What rank do play at?

When do you use his ability?

What do you do after you use his ability ( hitting someone in FF )?

Here's a question: What perks do you use?

If you use Ruin, then that explains why you're doing so well.

I personally use his ability to try and spread damage and land the first hit. And that's it.

I then try to chase down the closest Survivor, preferably whoever is injured.

WARNING: Wordwall, I get passionate when it comes to Legion. Who was one of my favorite Killers. First CHARACTER I P3'd (for the trophies) because of how I loved playing them.

Legion is bad at anything above green ranks (and is still typically bad at green ranks) because Legion gets genrushed into oblivion. Their power is only good for landing that first hit. Old Legion could run around really fast. New Legion can't.

Their power cannot be used for map travel as it doesn't move around as fast anymore.

Someone did the math on the DBD GameFAQs board. You only gain around 10 extra meters if you do a Frenzy sprint instead of a normal walk. And the stun makes you lose all of that extra distance.

And in Frenzy, you can't see scratch marks or bloodstains. Meaning that you can't see Survivors sprinting around, running from gens or not healing.

You have a power that provides you no benefit in map traversal, and actively disadvantages you by not letting you track Survivors without Killer Instinct. Which is easy to escape detection from because...

… Legion's power has always had the same easy, OP counterplay: Split up. Legion's power requires people get into groups. And the moment Survivors see you, they are gonna scram. I had even said in the past concerning old Legion that their power could be beaten by running in a straight line.

    This is still true.

The poor speed also makes it hard to catch up to Survivors and hit them to keep the chain going, or start it, and Sprint Burst lets Survivors easily outrun Legion.

Deep Wound also never downs Survivors. In fact, I've heard of Survivors deliberately going down in corners of the map with the purpose of drawing Legion to them.

Not only that, but someone on GameFAQs told them how they deal with Deep Wounds. They get hit by Legion, and if Legion switches targets, they mend to 99% and then hop on a gen.

They can get 1/3rd of that gen done before they can complete the mend. Because they're still in DW, they can't show up on Frenzy. The only way for Legion to catch them is to go back to the gen. But by that point, they can just crawl away.

I tried it, and it is VERY strong. It's the perfect example of how DW is laughable and doesn't stop anything whatsoever.

If DW is going to get so much counterplay and weaknesses because it CAN down Survivors, then they need to change the DW effect for something else. Preferably something that stops gens from being rushed.

The Frenzy movement and vaulting speeds needs to be reverted, even if Legion got a Frenzy duration buff to compensate (for some stupid reason) and the devs need to stop listening to rank 20s. And stop listening to themselves. (The devs are rank 20s as well.) They need to listen to the playerbase instead. But that will never happen.

Hag doesn't get destroyed by urban if you're using her traps aggressively, in chases or in preparation of a chase, or putting them in unpredictable locations. If the survivors are creeping around everywhere out of fear of setting off a trap they'll be slower than if they were running everywhere as they often do. In a chase she can completely shut down a loop with one trap and has huge mindgame potential. Knowing where the trap is outside of a chase helps but in a chase that information doesn't help nearly as much.

Oh no, she still gets destroyed. Her traps can be very noticeable at times, especially on The Game.

You also cannot use them in chases, Survivors will watch you put them down and move away because they know you're stuck in that animation while they sprint to a new loop.

Survivors also know how to preemptively trigger your traps mid chase so they become useless or make you teleport to them, wasting time because the trap is right there and you're wasting time going through the warp animation instead of doing a lunge.

"If the survivors are creeping around everywhere out of fear of setting off a trap they'll be slower than if they were running everywhere as they often do." Does this stop them from rushing gens? No, no it doesn't.

Her mobility is also extremely reliant on Survivor mistakes.

"In a chase she can completely shut down a loop with one trap and has huge mindgame potential." Which would never happen because the Survivor can see the trap ahead of time and make it redundant. Or set it off by abusing the wider radius behind walls and pallets so you can't do anything if you warp to the trap.

"Knowing where the trap is outside of a chase helps but in a chase that information doesn't help nearly as much."

This is not Trapper. This is Hag.

Lmao yeah ok buddy. Saying Huntress isn't good on console is literally just because you have bad aim. I get it's easier to aim on PC, but dont fool yourself dude. And besides, you literally admitted she's better, whether it be on PC or not. So you really shouldnt have even made this point.

Huntress can end chases long before Billy ever can. He might have pressure, but he still gets looped. The chainsaw is borderline useless while being looped.

And Hag is widely considered one of the best Killers in the game by plenty of top tier Killer players.

Im definitely not new mate. I've been a Rank 1 players since the game came out. Don't project your own skills onto me.

Have you... not played Huntress on console?

To argue that you "just have bad aim" when it's extremely difficult to aim on console... you have to be playing with potato Survivors.

I admitted she was better? WHEN? I don't see me praising her at all, just pointing out her weaknesses.

Billy's saw catches people out in the open and still gives him mobility to patrol gens. His saw can break pallets faster and can be used for mindgames at pallets. His saw can STILL be used to catch people during loops if Billy reads them right.

Huntress gets destroyed by buildings and indoor maps and if she isn't on Autohaven or a map with loops that don't have walls, she can be mind-gamed and beaten.

Huntress is high mid-tier on PC, bad on console. It's that simple.

"Hag is one of the best Killers in the game" Oh my GOD, you cannot be serious. Does Hag beat Nurse and Billy too? 🤣

Who are these "top-tier players"? Show me them. Right now.

And no, you're not. You're rank 1 because you use NOED, you tunnel, or you use Ruin or cheese builds. It's that simple.

    Or you're just a liar. :)

Well, apparently they said they will make decisions not just by feedback meaning if it’s a good choice they will do so. They want to head to the right direction with SWF? Well that’s a start, SWF have too much info on the killer already, no harm in the killer having it. What they can do is bringing a cool down after 3 doges in a row potentially. They are not dumb and can come up with something that can benefit both parties but idk.

People have said figures like not_Queen and the devs playing Survivor at extremely low ranks (rank 20) so it's particularly obvious they know little about the game they're playing.

These devs can barely make good Killers. Billy and Nurse remain unnerfed because of how important they are. Spirit was the exception, the one time they've made a good Killer. The rest are not viable and get genrushed at red/purple ranks.

  • @PickCollins said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/554102#Comment_554102

Dude Hag is widely considered one of the best killers in the game bc of her map pressure. A good Hag is hard to come by, but a good one can literally put the entire map on lockdown and defend gens.

Now pulling that off is difficult, but doing it is possible and very impactful

Did you just ignore the parts where I said Hag gets destroyed by Urban and paying attention to your surroundings?

EDIT: These forums are absolute garbage, my post got immediately submitted the moment I pressed enter to space out my reply and then I got literally redirected to another topic and I couldn't return to this one without checking my notifications. This site is extremely slow and I think it's because of some form of "long-running script" according to my computer.

Anyways, you are new if you think Hag is top-tier. She gets destroyed by good Survivors the moment they know it's a Hag. Her traps will never go off because of Urban and Survivors predicting where your traps are and she would need add-ons to stand a chance. She gets genrushed without Ruin because her mobility is based off Survivor mistakes.

Billy is not reliant on this, he can saw sprint whenever he wants. Nurse can Blink at will, she doesn't need Survivors looking at her or something to Blink. Spirit doesn't need Survivors looking at her to use her power to get around everywhere. And she doesn't need people running either, she can listen for them.

  • @Kenshin said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/554093#Comment_554093

Huntress is arguably better than Billy, and Hag is also pretty top tier in the right hands.

Huntress is not better than Billy by a LONG shot (pun) on anything other than PC, and Billy possesses superior mobility. Huntress is slow and does not have map-wide gen pressure.

Hag can be completely destroyed by either paying attention or Urban. You are either extremely new, a rank 20, or a Survivor main if you think Hag or Huntress is ANYWHERE near Billy or Nurse.

  • Absolutely not, OP.

Killers either need mobility or map wide gen pressure to survive at purple and red ranks. Otherwise they get genrushed into oblivion.

Ruin is a (necessary) band-aid for 80-85% of the Killers in this game who don't have any of those. If they lose Ruin, they might as well DC.

Billy has immense speed and instadowns, you can't beat him without a vault or window.

Nurse, while not possessing as much mobility as Billy, can end loops extremely quickly. And she can still move much quicker than other Killers. Plus she can teleport up and down entire floors.

Spirit has mobility and insane mindgame potential, which is what makes her top tier.

Every other Killer is very dependent on Ruin, add-ons or perks. Pig has SOME gen pressure with her RBTs but still not enough mobility.

The devs just don't know how to balance new killers, plain and simple. It's why the original killers are still the best in the game. With the exception of Spirit, the ONE time they did something right.

(Copy and pasted this bit from another topic I wrote this on.)

Even if your idea takes place, Ruin is still too instrumental to make half of the Killers playable in this game.

Ruin is the Self-Care for Killers. Remove Ruin and there will be massive outrage. Same as if Self-Care was removed (even if is mostly replaced for Adrenaline).

You want Ruin gone? Nerf genrushing on a CORE level and/or buff 80-85% of the Killer who struggle to Billy/Nurse/Spirit level.

Once you're willing to "see the other side" as whiny Survivor mains said about Legion, THEN we will talk.

No. For solo survivor need speed to open exit gates or maybe can reopen hatch closed for killer.

Wake Up is already a thing.

Keys also exist, they can reopen hatch even if Killer closes it.

I would actually argue Left Behind could give a movement speed increase, but Hope exists.

Maybe you gain the ability to see the Killer's for a extended period of time?

But Dark Sense can do that as well...

Perhaps Left Behind could do something to EGC? Maybe increase the timer...?

  • Gonna preface this by saying, no, buffing "killer instinct" add ons is not a buff, that's a kick in the teeth following a nerf.

OP, I would suggest you tag a few people like @Peanits and @not_Queen to get their attention when making these types of posts. You have a higher chance of getting their attention if you do. 😀

  • This OP tactic also consumes a significant amount of time as well, and other Survivors can approach GF or get behind him to break him out. Stalked Survivors can also try to sprint directly at him and reveal him forcefully if the GF tries too hard to get Exposed effects, so much so they let themselves get stalled instead of just going for the hit.

  • @ZVom said:

Wait, is there gonna be MORE GF nerfs after this hotfix?

GF was med tier at best before, this hotfix might have some impact, and they want to nerf him even further?

Who are they even trying to appeal to at this rate? The majority of Survivors and Killers are not asking for GF nerfs. It's only rank 20s who are asking. In fact, I've noticed more people wanting buffs or protesting this change.

You want some killers who think the game is too easy as killer? Sure, Physcoscorpians, Sverkeren, and Unumz are just 3 people who both are really good at killer and usually play other killers that aren’t billy or nurse. On top of that, none of them use Ruin because they don’t need it, because they know how to actually play the game. If you think survivors don’t have hindering bugs on their side, then whooo boy to you just ignore what happens on that side. Hitboxes are still #########, vaulting through a window completely and getting some distance away to still be hit, the double knife addon bug is back (making everything slower for survivors), bugged pallets where the survivor gets stuck for a couple seconds in a broken pallet before jittering through, survivors hair being able to seen over various auras so that a killer can find them even easier, and various perks not working how they’re supposed to; just to name a few. So yeah, survivor has just as many bugs that effect their game as killers do, and you’d have to be really close minded or blatantly ignoring of the other side to not see them. So yes, killer is the easiest it’s ever been, and it’s really on you and your skill level if you can’t play the game without Ruin. Also how is NOED not considered a second chance perk to you? It is the ultimate, “I played the game badly so let me get boosted at the last second” perk. It is based around the killer failing to to their job and then getting a benefit from it. As for “hard to use” if you are competent, you’ll be able to press M1 to hit someone and down them in 1 hit, it’s really not that hard.

Woah, kid, press the Enter key a few times. This hurts my eyes to read...

Everything you've said is so wrong and obviously Survivor biased it's not even funny.

"You want some killers who think the game is too easy as killer? Sure, Physcoscorpians, Sverkeren, and Unumz are just 3 people who both are really good at killer and usually play other killers that aren’t billy or nurse."

Never heard of em. And do they stream? If not, their content could be edited to just show bad Survivors.

    Tru3 counts as well.

"On top of that, none of them use Ruin because they don’t need it, because they know how to actually play the game."

Absolutely impossible. The genrush is insane and SWF teams will genrush even if you down and hook someone. The only way you can use Ruin and still 4k is if you're at the low ranks, or playing a meta Killer (Nurse, Billy, Spirit)

"If you think survivors don’t have hindering bugs on their side, then whooo boy to you just ignore what happens on that side. Hitboxes are still [BAD WORD], vaulting through a window completely and getting some distance away to still be hit, the double knife addon bug is back (making everything slower for survivors), bugged pallets where the survivor gets stuck for a couple seconds in a broken pallet before jittering through, survivors hair being able to seen over various auras so that a killer can find them even easier, and various perks not working how they’re supposed to; just to name a few."

Hitboxes are a product of lag. And they seem much better from what I've noticed.

The devs have stated it is 100% intentional to get hit through vaults if you are too close to the vault and the Killer gets close enough to you. That will not change. If you're getting hit, you are typically too close to the vault.

And concerning the double knife bug... Survivors have Wake Up, which is used in toxic genrush builds right now to bully killers. Two gens can be done before the Killer can even WALK over there if a 4 man SWF team has the correct setup.

Right now, it boosts ALL interaction speed by 5/10/15 percent.

And how often have you seen Legions nowadays, even with that bug in existence?

"bugged pallets where the survivor gets stuck for a couple seconds in a broken pallet before jittering through,"

"Stuck in a broken pallet"? What do you mean? Are you referring to when a Survivor can get stuck in place when trying to vault a window or pallet? That is a product of lag.

"survivors hair being able to seen over various auras so that a killer can find them even easier"

There is probably a Killer equivalent, and I imagine most Killers don't know about this. Or how to even get use out of it.

"and various perks not working how they’re supposed to; just to name a few."

It seems to be mostly Survivor perks not functioning the way they are supposed to... Remember Me, a Killer perk, is currently bugged in favor of Survivors. It currently INCREASES door opening speed, not decreases it.

"So yeah, survivor has just as many bugs that effect their game as killers do, and you’d have to be really close minded or blatantly ignoring of the other side to not see them."

I've heard about a locker bug that lets a Survivor glitch to the top of a locker while being pulled out of a locker and be left in the Dying state. I believe they can still move up there, meaning they can take the game hostage or stay up there until the Killer loses interest and a Survivor can come and pick them up. They can drop down any time they like by simply crawling off of it.

Plague currently makes the game crash, but that can't be frequently abused. Unlike this locker bug.

"So yes, killer is the easiest it’s ever been, and it’s really on you and your skill level if you can’t play the game without Ruin."

The vast majority of this community disagrees with you. Pros know the genrush is real. Killers AND Survivors know the genrush is real. Not only do gens get even faster in this update, Wake Up makes things even worse.

"Also how is NOED not considered a second chance perk to you? It is the ultimate, “I played the game badly so let me get boosted at the last second” perk. It is based around the killer failing to to their job and then getting a benefit from it."

Many people hate NOED, Killers included, and want it nerfed. So, don't think this is a Us VS Them situation.

"As for “hard to use” if you are competent, you’ll be able to press M1 to hit someone and down them in 1 hit, it’s really not that hard."

Are you referring to Ghostface's power...?

"Not as hard" You have no idea on how quickly rank 1 Survivors or SWF groups can shut down GF's power, run them around until Exposed wears off or make them waste time that could be spent stopping gens from popping in a attempt to expose them.

GF is a M1 killer with no anti-looping potential without his power. His power can be used for red glow mindgames mid-chase at places where the Killer cannot be seen, but that is really it. It doesn't give a speed boost, it doesn't bypass obstacles, it doesn't do much.

GF is slow. GF is weak. Certain perks destroy their power. GF gets genrushed easily.

The devs have failed, again, to make a good Killer.

  • Why is your topic getting more responses than mine? 😥 I made multiple topics linking to it as well in different places on this forum... I really wanted people to respond. 😫

Here it is by the way: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/58067/how-legion-should-actually-be-changed#latest

I completely agree with 1, that is what I suggested and had in mind this whole time, even before the nerfs. 2 and 4 are also good. 3... not too sure about that. That might get some valid complaints, sounds too good. Legion would have to have their slow base speed again to compensate for better Frenzy.

One reason why people DC against Legion, old and new, even if they didn't use any form of add-on, good perk on them, or exploit, is because their locations are revealed. Survivors are, in general, bad at the game and cannot loop. They don't know how to use Exhaustion perks (Sprint Burst is perfect) to completely escape Frenzy. They didn't know to just scatter to beat Frenzy EZ vs old Legion and they still don't.

Any Killer that cannot be countered with stealth, Survivors hate. Doctor gets DCs as well, from what I've heard. It is unfortunate, but true.

Learn to play Legion. Thats it.

Oh, I KNOW how to play Legion. I mained old Legion from rank 10 to rank 1 before the emblem change and did not use exploits. I did VERY well.

I can consistently pip nowadays at rank 10 with new Legion and no add-ons. But that might be because I have Ruin.

Either way, I 100% know how to play Legion. I know how they work, old and new, and I know they're weak. 😥

  • @Talmeer said:

Your ideas are like a dream come true @bubbascal . If I could play the pre patch Legion one day more and with those changes, I would be a happy Legion again^^.

But we need also to have the toxic streamers in mind, who have encourage their audience to bully, dc and invade the dbd forums with nerf threads towards the Legion.

Because of them, the Legion should not made too strong again with a new rework. Otherwise, the devs listen to those guys maybe again and we can start again, to fight the good fight (yeah that was a reference to Three Dog :)).

    Yeah, you're probably right.

    Thanks. =D

  • I feel like GF is kinda slow too. Not as fast as Legion's base movement speed.

Which honestly isn't good, as he needs to be able to land hits when he can't get stalks off.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/69518/nerfing-ghostface-is-the-start-of-a-very-dangerous-future-for-the-game

Ghostface its a P2W KILLER has sprint from Meg survivor + run while crunching from The Pig killer and Nea the survivor + stalking from Michel Mayer but instant + kill in 1 stab from Michel Mayer but faster + watch survivors like bbq and chile from leather face + run more than survivors or Legion even without use his sprint + long weapon lunge from Freddy + his own habilitys like block engines = block the main target of survivors + learned habilitys from other killers, etc,... just need teleport from Nurse right ??. Literally 90% killers switched to him, you dont even see the old killers anymore unless you play 24/7, i bought recently Michael Mayers and i feel scammed cuz he can stalk and oneshot in less than 5 seconds while i need the whole match to do the same with Michael Mayers, totally game breaking, all matches as survivor against him, he killed the whole party in less than 2 mins even with obiously noob player handling him. Nerfing him its a must, or someone give me back the money i spent on Michael Mayers/Laurie DLC so i can use that money on buy the p2w killer.

Can you stop copy and pasting this everywhere, rank 20 Survivor main?

You made a entire account to copy and paste a poorly written, hard to understand reply about GF...

GF does not have Sprint Burst. Run and crouching means nothing if it takes forever to stealth everywhere. Pig doesn't have the major weakness of being able to be broken out of crouched mode.

Myers also has the advantage of higher movement speed + higher vaulting speed at T3. GF does not have this. GF feels a bit slow actually compared to, say, Legion's movement speed.

Thrilling is also nowhere near as good as BBQ&C.

Long weapon lunge? His knife has a smaller hitbox than Legion's knife, tf you on???

People also switched to him because he's the newest killer and everyone wants to play him. This happens with EVERY Killer and EVERY Survivor. It'll die down soon.

It also takes a while for Myers to inflict Exposed on everyone by the way. GF can do it faster, but it's harder and takes longer to actually get into a position to do that.

    You're just bad, cry harder @GhostfaceneedaNerf 🤣🤣🤣

You play a different game I guess, try civilization 5. xD

After the obvious jokes were made:

Ghostface in fact is weak, his power grants you stalking ability, but good survivors (red ranks) can annulate this power very easily.

It's not hard to look at someone, if you have eyes in the head.

A SWF or Object of Obsession completely ######### Ghostface up and there is nothing the killer can do about it. Their power becomes useless.

In my opinion, you shouldn't be able to break ghostface out of his power without being NEAR him. I mean like near him 32 meters range at max and then look at him for 1.5 seconds with a clear audio cue for ghostface.

And when being in a chase (which should only be possible when going after someone for more than 3 seconds) the power ends (or when you hit someone, NOT stab the air)

"In my opinion, you shouldn't be able to break ghostface out of his power without being NEAR him. I mean like near him 32 meters range at max and then look at him for 1.5 seconds with a clear audio cue for ghostface.

    Oh, god. Please, no!

You've literally said SWF groups beat up GF, yet you want him even easier to detect?

And no, the only other use for his power outside of sneaking is mindgames at buildings and T-walls and L-walls. No terror radius and more important, no red stain. Something all loopers look for to figure out which direction the Killer is taking. He doesn't need a "insta break out of power because a Survivor got in your face".

    He needs buffs, not nerfs.

  • @prayer_survivor said:

10 sec. to down survivor is weak? What do you want? A hit put them on hook?

Thinking on it now, I may have exaggerated somewhat. Because of people running from pallet to pallet and abusing infinites, chases can take maybe 20 seconds. If I can even land the hit.

Exposed don't do anything if it takes a while to apply and you can't hit the Survivor in the first place. You also can't afford to try and inflict exposed mid chase. Or after you get to a gen during patrols and you see that there was a Survivor there... now what? Activate your power? They'll know where you are and just detect you. They are also nerfing GF for that to be even easier.

GF IS weak. No map pressure, getting hooks take too long, can't stop gens getting rushed without Ruin...

  • So, in order to "play him right", you have to crouch around the entire game in your power, sneak everywhere and be super immersed, basically?

When you don't have the time to do that?

You do that and you will be genrushed.

  • @LastShoe said:

@bubbascal The more you try the higher the chances that they will listen to you.

    I hope so.

    Bumping hopefully helps too.

    @Peanits

  • I actually feel like the issue is gens getting done too quickly.

I played multiple matches today at rank 9 as Ghostface. Gens would frequently get done because a 10 seconds chase would cause 60 to 70% of a gen to be done. I could not afford to NOT patrol gens and focus on just scaring them off. As taking 5 seconds to injure a Survivor and another 5 to down them causes gens to be done.

GF is too weak. You can't "take your time" in a game like this. Especially since Survivors gen rush even MORE compared to after the emblem update.

One chase = one or two gens done. It's insane on how weak GF is.

This is accurate, I went up against a decent legion on the weekend but every time they would get close and frenzy I could use SB to completely clear him and he'd never catch up before losing FF. If that's considered OP for an ability then...that's really sad. If survivors are all bunched together and can't outrun/loop the new grandma speed legion then the killer can't be blamed for nailing (yes they 100% must connect or they lose FF) those hits.

    Mmhmm. D=

  • @Dreamnomad said:

They are one and the same. If the killer's ability is OP then the killer is OP. Killers are defined by their ability. There is plenty of counter-play against Legion anyway.

Legion is honestly trash nowadays. And this is coming from someone who really loves Legion. And misses being able to be so fast... 😪

Killer Instinct has plenty of counterplay, @Tensor . Leave the Terror Radius. Exhaustion perks. Run in a straight line. Location revealing is worthless if you can't take advantage of it.

The whole point of Killer Instinct was to help Legion do their job: spread damage quickly and efficiently. Which they struggle even MORE with because of their speed nerfs.

Are the other Survivors actually taking advantage of the fact that the Pig is focusing down the person with the trap on?

Traps usually use a lot of their effectiveness if the Pig is just tunneling the trapped Survivor.

I don't know. I think so...? I'm often times attempting to deal with the RBT and can't focus TOO much on anything else.

There was a time where I straight up couldn't leave a locker because the Pig was either always in the area or kept moving past it. I don't remember it too well, I think it was on the Game...?

And my timer was going down the entire time. I died to the RBT or was hooked. I think it was the RBT...

My PSN friend knows about this bad luck and pities me. I believe they were there when it happened.

Well that's obvious it's because your dummy thicc and your ass cheeks keep clapping alerting the Killer

    Haha, yup. 🤣

(Don't glorify obesity though. 😥 It's amusing, but still...)

  • Oh my god. There's idiots trying to say Legion is still OP. OH MY GOD. 🤣🤣🤣

LMAO no, Jan. Legion does not need a nerf, their useless power 100% takes skill and the situation you described would be possible for any other Killer.

Rank 20s gonna cry, I guess.

  • Am I the only one who almost always has extremely bad luck when it comes to RBTs?

Every since I started playing Jane, I tend to die to bear traps frequently whenever they are placed on me. It's insane on how badly things go for me. Either the boxes are so spread out that I die attempting to run to them, Pig tunnels me in such a way that my timer still goes down even when she's clearly chasing me resulting in my demise, or something else. Something almost ALWAYS goes wrong, and it results in my demise.

To be fair, I've also gotten Skill Checks at extremely bad times and been tunneled + camped by killers. (Killers can't leave me and my fat behind alone apparently. 😥)

The RBTs can actually be very effective if Pig applies the smallest amount of pressure on Survivors trying to use boxes.

Either that, or again just super bad luck as Jane.
