  • 3 gens around the school is 100% normal. Just focus on 2 gens outside of the preschool instead of the ones in the houses and you'll have a easier time winning. Gens that are spread out will be harder to patrol for the killer.

Maybe you wanna have one or two Survivors genrush the gens nearby the preschool...?

    Take that!

Image isn't clear, but I couldn't find another image of the inside of the house.

And that isn't what I was remembered. But once I hop onto DBD again, I'm going to try and take a clear screenshot of it on my PS4. I'll try and get a good angle for you once I sit down and start playing.

Sorry for the potentially false information. I'm willing to admit I'm wrong. But one of those look like David somewhat, no? The outline of one of the shirts reminds me of David's jacket...

  • The game is not meant to allow for SWF. If SWF is in play, experienced Survivors with Self-Care, DS and all the other meta perks WILL run circles around the killer. Have fun playing against a 4 man SWF looper team. Getting downed in the right locations to allow for pallet and flashlight saves.

Self-Care, something that everyone has, eliminates a side objective: Getting healed. Other Survivors don't have to get off gens to heal you, and you don't have to spend time looking for medkits.

Non-obsession DS users are easy to counter. Get to hooks quickly. Maybe use Agitation for faster speed or Iron Grasp to make it longer for them to reach the DS point.
Obsession DS users... MAYBE try and use a mori or Rancor? You can also try to line them up in a certain position with the basement stairs to completely negate the stun received from DS. There is environmental counterplay for DS.

    Increased Communication

I voted right on this one.

But personally? I just wanna punish SWF somehow. Less BP or disadvantages to anyone who participates in SWF.

Maybe buffs or reworks for solo players. But a solo with enough game sense can do just fine. Maybe some perks to help em out, but otherwise fine.

Guess what? It's because they practised, learned from their mistakes and tried to do things differently when things didn't go their way.

Oh I really LOVE that one. Can I please requote you every time a survivor main cries for changes?
Like "camping" and they refuse to do gens. Because that is no "fun" and it's "unfair" and they still refuse to change their behavior and keep feeding the trolls/camper instead, but keep complaining.

Of course you can requote it. I love how you're looking for a "fight" XD But unlike you, I'm not biased. This goes for both sides. If people playing survivor complains about silly stuff, then what I said is completely relevant for them as well. There's a lot of bad survivors, and they too need to practise and learn from their mistakes.

I do understand why people complain about camping though. I don't really care about it myself, it's up to the killer.. If he wants to stare at my face while I'm on the hook, sure, go ahead. I'm just going to move on and hope I'll have more fun in the next game. Luckily when I play survivor I only encounter campers in the lower ranks by more inexperienced killers right after rank reset. Even if I don't really care much about it, I don't think being facecamped is a fun and riveting gaming experience, and I can't imagine it being very much fun for the killer either just standing there. And the rest of the team won't have a very fun game either, since they just have to sit on a gen for a few minutes and then run out. I don't know about you, but I usually play games to have fun. If you think facecamping is fun, then great, and good for you.

So you are with me on this?
    Survivor make camping viable?

Only because they're bored out of their mind, or they don't know any better. I am in no way defending facecamping, because it is - you guessed it - boring. And like I said, I can't imagine it being exciting for the killer either, so I don't really understand why someone would do it. And I definitely do not agree with people who claim they are "forced" to camp. No one is holding a gun to your head. I do understand camping at certain points, like if all gens are done and the killer wants to secure his kill or something. I have no clue why people would camp their first survivor while all the gens are up, unless they get their kick out of boring other people just because they can..

You are aware that "facecamping" doesn't exist anymore?

And survivor "force" me to camp, when they do bad baits, running towards the hook in the plain open, hide badly nearby or just swarm the hook or hook rush aka playing overaltruistic.
I hope you get the picture here.

Patrolling the hook is not the same as facecamping though. I'm fine with the killer running around the hook when he knows or have seen there's someone there. If survivors swarm the hook the minute you've hooked one of them, then yes, they are not very smart and I would not fault you for staying there and chasing them in the area. This is not what I was referring to. I'm talking about killers just standing close to the hook, even when there are no survivors around, because he thinks this is a good tactic. In this scenario, the best thing to do for survivors is to do gens - but it's boring as hell, and I hate when this happens. Killers who do this will also never get better at the game, and never learn to find, chase and mindgame survivors properly because they just stand still for most of the game.

I am aware that there's this silly discussion about semantics when it comes to the term "facecamping", but when I say facecamping I mean the killer standing close to the hook, "in the survivor's face", with no intention of moving away, regardless if survivors are around or not. If you call that something else: fine, it doesn't really matter to me what you call it, because that is besides the point :)

IIRC camping is when you sit around the hook, looking around. Patrolling is not standing in front of or next to the hook, it's walking around the area to spot Survivors attempting rescues. Facecamping is when you stand directly in front of the hook, ready to injure or grab Survivors who attempt a rescue.

It's similar to Identity V TBH. I play lots of Survivor, every single hunter camps except me. Fortunately, DBD does not have nearly as bad of a camping problem.

To use Rancor to it's fullest (and to counter DS) you would have to let the obsession live till the end of the game. If you don't think you are capable of playing in a specific way , and don't have a plan and just wanna run around without thinking and want to have that "insurance" for the end , then use NOED.

No need for a buff because you want it.

I still don't agree with it countering DS. You'd have to let them live till the end, using remember me with it would already have the obsession use it due to an extra hit equaling another token. Plus...survivors can use ds without being the obsession, rancor does not counter it.

Someone who has DS will have a high chance of making them the obsession if a Killer uses Rancor.

While this doesn't stop other Survivors from using it, the Killer will know to be on their guard around their obsession and only down if there's a hook so close that the obsession can't DS in time.

Or bully the obsession whenever possible (Injure them, chase them off things, maybe make them drop a pallet for you to break in a "chase", etc...) and prevent them from doing anything until everyone else is dead. Make them heal, make them do rescues, get them off gens, etc...

Non-obsession Survivors also have to get the wiggle gauge to a certain point for the skill check to appear. It's also obvious when they just got DS to pop up and they're gonna use it, so you can react in time.

It is just the PTB, they may still be working on Joe and Susie's voices, models, and animations and will be released when the DLC is available for purchase

A skin that actually has unique voice lines and such. It'd be a first for DBD. I know this is the thing for many Legendary skins in Overwatch, much to my delight.

Are you guys seriously trying to ship cold, emotionless monsters who want kill with each other?

How would the killers even interact to begin with? Entity places them in special "cells" alone until the Entity wants them for a trial.

People here also trying to say a Japanese ghost who presumably experiences eternal rage wants to have a relationship...

People also think a World War 1/2 girl turned animalistic woman who feels zero humanity and thinks killing is fun would make for a good partner.

… Wait, actually, Hunty kept trying to be a good mom. Hmm. Maybe some humanity.

But not on a relationship level. Hell no.

This post makes me want to take a sip of bleach. A feeling which I have never experienced before until now.

you are taking this way too seriously. and dont sip bleach, bleach is bad mmkay
but hey, you want to become the thought/fun police more power to you, get your rage on.

I think it's in reverse, everyone else here seems to be taking the "headcanon" and "shipping" thing seriously.

Ever heard of the "drink bleach" meme?

I'm not being the thought/fun police. I just want you guys to look at what you're doing. You're shipping heartless monsters together.

(Not like I don't feel compassion for some of the Killers and their pasts though.)

if it really bothers you, ill stop having fun with this ... not worth ruining you day or distressing you in any way..

I apologize, really! I'm not trying to ruin your day, I just want you to realize what you're doing. That's all. Not saying you couldn't continue if you wanted...

That's why I am okay if the people who make this kind of fanfictions know that this is just fantasy and has no way to become canon.

Still want you all to realize you're trying to ship bloodthirsty monsters with a game like this...

I also enjoyed that the Survivor and Killer were directly related to the same area for the first time in a while. It makes a 'Chapter' feel much more cohesive when there are actual connections instead of random parts. What did David have to do with the Huntress and the Red Forest? This approach is definitely nicer.

If you look at the inside of Mother's Abode, there's a photo of David's family on the wall, IIRC. David and his family might have lived in the woods after Hunty got taken by the Entity.

  • Jan, hand me the bleach, please. I'm ready to leave this world.

The Lore section of this page perfectly explains the Entity and the main plot of the game. As well as why all of this is happening.

    That being said...

The Entity is a being that wants to consume our world. To do that, it must become stronger. It does this by kidnapping people to put into it's "trials". It wants the hope of Survivors. To do this, the trials were formed to draw out this "hope" with the promise of "escape".

I think the Entity is a spider. Or is something like the flower things from the Hallowed Blight event. I mean, Bloodweb, the whole complex system to this whole thing, like a spider playing with it's prey...

If the Entity actually has a gender, they might be "she". The French (the dev's mother tongue) name for Entity is feminine. "Entite".

I get that this is a company.

Can someone please explain to me how a randomly disappearing, instantly teleporting and attacking, hard to see them over obstacles, long reach, absolutely OP killer was approved by the devs?

Have you no goddanged sense of decency?

Ah, another Spirit topic demanding nerfs.

She has a giantatic weakness already: She can't see Survivors while phase walking.

People know how to counter her on console. Just don't run if you think she's phase walking. Or try and mindgame her with your scratch marks by leading her to easy juking locations

If the Spirit you are going up against uses Phase Walk to get back to the hook to tunnel a unhooked Survivor, just don't run. Walk away from the hook, stay behind objects. This is extremely simple and it tends to work.

2 weeks after it has been released, I have never encountered rancor again.
Do I need to say more?

What ranks do you hover at?

Rancor is honestly strong the way it is. You can try and slug a obsession if there's one gen to go and see if you can get another person downed. Then you can quickly mori them and hook that downed person. Maybe you wanna use Blood Warden with Rancor too?

And if you suck, or you encounter a obviously SWF team that is way too prepared to dismantle, you can just mori to get the one kill needed to safety pip and move on to the next match.
