Can I just say: Awesome name. Hated using the ship though.

haha thank you! it was definitely not for everyone. also check out the song of the same name by three mile pilot. ^_^

  • graphics look great, but the game plays like trash on every map now. they screwed up yet again when they update their game. it's to be expected by now though.

  • bump. terrible update, game is sooo choppy. getting hit while already running on the other side of pallets and windows as well.

  • it actually took skill to get insta downs with bubba before because you had to time the charge right to get the survivor before they get to a window or pallet; not to mention how even if you couldn't get the chainsaw off you would still be able to hit them with a basic attack. now: literally just charge up your chainsaw whenever you want because you know you'll get them on the loop before they reach that pallet or window. whoever thought bubba was bad before this update to him is just bad at killer. lol can't believe these developers still manage to keep screwing up the game like this after their game almost being out for five years now.

  • @GrimReaperJr1232 said:

Because... Bubba was considered one of the weakest killers in the game? He only became decent with 1 specific perk combination and/or stacked charge add-ons.

if any killer needed a buff it was clown, not bubba. it's just not fun playing against him now. can hardly ever escape his chainsaw even around most loops; even strong loops and people who play him still camp hooks. boring af.

  • @AhoyWolf said:

They made Bubba stronger because he was trash.

He was only good at facecamping, so they made his chainsaw actually usable while in a chase and at loops.

no, you were just bad at playing him. lol he was one of the easiest killers to get insta downs with and consistent 4K's. all you had to do was get right up on a survior with your chainsaw pre-charging and let it rip and bam. now you can be a mile away charging up your chainsaw and still get the survivor. it's so dumb. lmao these devs cater to bad players in the community way too much. plus, every single bubba still just camps hooks. it's a mess.

  • @KrispiesChicken said:

So when I get dailies I just message the survivors to help me finish it and they'll escape. Usually because it's on killers I never play and it's frankly no fun. However I noticed it's easy to get bloodpoints as the game goes fast and you usually get a good amount BPs. Is doing that bannable or just highly frowned upon?

Though if the survivors aren't wanting to help me with the daily I just say okay and play my normal killer and such for them

Definitely not bannable, but they are challenges after all soooo

Loops are boring. I want them shortened and de-emphasized. With how quickly a survivor's objective can be completed these days I'm all for the killer shack (and other potentially long loops) being weakened. Survivor safe spaces need to go if gen speeds aren't going to get touched. And if the breakable walls make people like you leave? That's just a bonus.

I mean they’re addressing toolboxes too, not that I’m opposed to breakable walls just saying. They are addressing gen speed...

  • Literally a new issue with every update....

  • @EnviouSLAY said:

I just had a match where my internet went crazy; my ping shot up to 3k, i could barely do anything, but i was able to hit people and hook no problem; and frankly that is not okay..I'm starting to understand why the bugs with killers starting to just teleport around and get hits they shouldn't. Frankly the matchmaking system needs to not allow you to play if your ping is higher than 200. It should automatically disconnect you before you even start matchmaking.

I agree because I’ve been getting hit when I’m clearly on the other side of the window or pallet and already running away too many times lately.

  • It’s already been nerfed, DS was cancer before and the way it has been implemented now is exactly how they wanted the perk to work in the first place. It doesn’t need a change, most times you can literally eat the DS and still get the survivor or know they won’t have DS anymore all match. It’s really not that bad.

Decisive strike is incredibly easy to hit no chance in missing it.

Except for the game being buggy as hell though lol

  • They’re destroying their game and typically only give a ######### about money anymore and bringing new people in to get their money after their growth, I get hit in every window vault it seems now even though I’m running and taking like four steps away from the window already. I never get upset with video games, but today I actually had to rage quit because this happened in almost every single match. It’s been years and they still don’t pay attention to the big issues. They just want our money, they act like they care, but they really don’t give a ######### about the integrity of their game. The way they worded the ruin nerf clearly says that. Oh, it killers who lack the skill right?! Definitely not your ######### map design and generator speeds.

  • @LordSturm said:

Agreed, it adds nothing to the game.

Wiggling is alright, since it's moderately skill-based, but struggling is just annoying. "Hey, one nano-second of lag? Your hand cramped? We just didn't like you this time? Banished"

Lol trust me, I know that feeling all too well. /:

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I believe that’s quite literally working as intended in that case.

They WANT it to be annoying.

I get the concept behind it, but multiple people have stated how it breaks their keyboards or controllers...

  • @ABannedCat said:

Or mabye drop this entire dedicated servers crap, and go back to the P2P system, which worked perfectly fine.

I don’t know if P2P worked “perfectly fine”, I still got hit unfairly; but in some matches I clear the window and don’t get hit. Other matches I’m already running away after vaulting and still get hit now.

  • @TheOneElric said:

    I concur.

I get the feeling all my neighbours are hating me and my mechanical keyboard in the night, playing Dead by Daylight.

Yeah, I could do a macro but I'm lazy.

    Lol but no it’s garbage

  • @Sinner5Gonn4Sin said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/989987#Comment_989987

He's quite easy in general, his mecanics aren't really the more skillbased, I can definitely agree on that.

But he's petty much reduced to be a M1 killer at red ranks until late game unless he's camping, that's the worst part about his actual kit.

I play well with him at all ranks, there’s times where you can chainsaw and times where you can’t; simple as that. I think the issue with chainsaw killers is that people try to chainsaw every single chance they get.

  • Bubba is so easy to play as, he really doesn’t need to be stronger imo. Every time I play as Bubba I do really well; I don’t see why he would need to be buffed. He needs to be reworked if anything because most people just camp with him to try and chainsaw the person going for the hook save and it’s just annoying to go against unless you have sentient survivors on your team.

  • @Prex91 said:

Wiggle and struggle are the problems for pads health.

That’s exactly right, what did they think mapping controls like that?! Such a dumb thing to do. They really need to focus on fixing these things that people have been complaining about rather than dishing out cosmetics all the time.

  • @DeadVision said:

Huh, I thought it was just me experiencing something like this. I almost considered getting a new controller even though my current one is quite new any way. It doesn't happen in all of my games but I see it more when playing killer- it'll slow down for a second or two every few seconds while moving. Similar thing with survivors while sprinting and I'm blatantly holding down the button to sprint.

I have seen an improvement since the dedicated servers that’s for sure, but it’s definitely in part for the fact that you have to hold forward in this game more than any other game and also the fact that PlayStation needs to make their controllers at a higher standard. New controllers shouldn’t be losing the feedback in the sticks that quick and either way. Next best bet is to take apart the controller and try and see if there’s an obstruction or that something can be done to fix the feedback when pushing forward on the left stick. For sure I’m getting the year warranty on any future controllers I may buy; I suggest you do the same ‘cause I’m sure you know all too well how frustrating this can be.

  • @yandere777 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/118719/your-game-is-literally-ruining-ps4-controllers-for-me

Who ever thought in a game that makes you hold forward constantly that there should be different speeds depending on how hard you push on the sticks?!

Thats legit in any game ever. Move the stick slightly? Your character Moves slightly. I have never heard of anybody's sticks breaking from playing dbd. Ever. I been playing for over a year and I'm still using the same remote.

It’s like on certain remotes of mine it can’t tell whether I’m pushing fully forward or not so I’m going back and forth from half speed to full speed and it’s so aggravating. Other people have been saying the same to me, so I don’t know if I have been pushing too hard or it’s the remote or what, but I’m going to try and play with it more and see what’s up.

  • I’m not playing this game until it’s acknowledged or fixed, but knowing these devs they’re not going to do anything about the important issues with the game, like balancing or other fixes and just cater to survivors and dish out cosmetics. Really sucks because I love this game, but it’s literally impossible for me to play because I’ll get a new remote and it’ll just end up stuttering like always from playing DBD on console. How stupid...

  • The fact that controllers don’t work properly on PS4 and stutter when you’re in chase because for some reason you can run slower or faster instead of just running when you push forward there’s a sensitivity....

  • Yep, controller keeps stuttering every match now. Put so much money into this game and it’s just frustrating me now. This is ######### bullshit.

  • I think it might have something to do with the sensitivity between walking and running. There shouldn’t be a run slow or faster, if you hold the run button down and push forward you should be running and without holding the run button then you walk. That or it’s tied to the killers connection since killer still hosts on console.

  • @Atrushan88 said:

The corn is fine, considering the last two maps that have been released are so killer sided it's almost a death sentence to even be sent there. I'd love to see the survival rate for the new Yamaoka Estate map. I bet it's something like 20% or less, and that being hatch escapes.

I 3 or 4k every time I get that map as killer and as survivor I die every time. I actually wish both sides could ban one map. I would ban that map every time even as killer because it just feels cheap as hell and I don't feel I earned my victory.

Besides, if you made the corn less dense, you'd basically be making the map killer sided(which there are already plenty killer sided maps, in fact even the most survivor sided maps have less than a 50% survival rate). There's literally nothing in the corn, meaning there are probably only like 4 or 5 pallets on those maps. It's basically just a big empty field.

Most maps in the game are survivor sided.

  • @Unicorn_scarecrow said:

You realize this is a post complaining about corn when you made it yeah?

That's it, I am OUTRAGED about the moonlight. Nerf it!!

    Uh.... what?

  • And yes, I recall it freezing and messing me up on killer as well. Just stutters like that are for more crucial to you losing the match while playing survivor. Honestly don’t even know why I play survivor anymore. The game freezes all the time and the ranking system is garbage. Wonder when they’ll ever fix their game.

  • This isn’t my console either because most other games I play that have a similar concept or even more action going on the screen never stutter, yet ever since I’ve played DbD I’ve always noticed how much this game freezes up. And from an icon popping up on your screen that displays points?! Like.... really?! How does that make it stutter up?! This sucks because I really enjoy this game, but all these little annoyances I counter each time I play really are starting to drive me away from playing anymore. I can’t be the only one experiencing this. Anyone?

  • @Fibijean said:

I'm not saying I disagree, although I wouldn't put it quite like that, but care to elaborate?

The devs might be able to actually do something about it if you can provide more constructive feedback.

I understand that SWF being different ranks cant be avoided, but when majority is solo queued the ranks should be more tight. If you’re purple ranks, stay within purple and so on.

  • @Tr0g said:

Map offerings really shouldn't be a thing. It heavily favors SWF groups and I don't see the issue with random maps. Although I wonder if they are truly random.. some maps I almost never see.

I agree with that honestly, I don’t like map offerings.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/113133/corn-on-coldwind-maps-needs-to-be-less-dense-or-not-as-tall

You........you do realize the survivors don't pick maps, right? I've been to cold wind maybe a handful of times over the last week and I've seen the meat factory, the new shrine map, Azarov's like crazy. It's random unless someone uses an offering which Killers can use too. Also, the corn is just part of the game. Get used to it or learn to anticipate the moves.

I’m talking about how I always see coldwind offerings that survivors bring before the match

  • @Bigbootiejudy666 said:

    nice ted talk

    Lol thanks! ^_^

  • @Xerge said:

Yes, one match as killer on coldwind maps is enough for me to switch to survivor. I used to play more games as killer, but the bad map design is getting old and boring.

HONESTLY, I whole heartedly agree with this. Something needs to be done because there’s a reason survivors bring Coldwind offering so much.

  • @ASpazNamedSteve said:

The corn isn't the strongest part of farm maps lol, the amount of safe tiles is.

Having said that though I swear my corn blindness worsens everyday :'(

Those are the maps I struggle the hardest on with killer so there’s something to do with the corn for sure.

  • It’s crazy to think how tall Trapper and Myers are really since the camera goes into the chest. Lol

  • @ABannedCat said:

They just need to raise the killer camera to the actual eyelevel of killers.

I have noticed how the camera zooms into the killers chest at the start, that could work possibly. I think the best bet is to make it less dense and tall in certain areas instead. The place is abandoned and the corn shouldn’t be that well maintained. You can tell they’ve just copy and pasted each stalk, possibly rotated them on the tiles a bit. (x

  • @ABannedCat said:

They just need to raise the killer camera to the actual eyelevel of killers.

That’s a good idea, I have noticed how the camera like zooms into the killers chest at the start of the map. I think the best bet imo would be to make the corn less dense. The place is abandoned anyways, that corn shouldn’t be that maintained. There should be parts where maybe it’s more dense and taller and parts where it’s less dense and shorter, but you can tell they’ve just copy and pasted all the stalks. Maybe rotated them a bit and that’s it. (x

  • @Timtom24 said:

myers and ghostface are the worst on these maps.. they need to get nerfed on them with their stalking

Do you mean how it’s harder to stalk? Same goes for like nurse or huntress. So many times I’ve missed easy shots or teleports because of corn.

  • All for this, they just need to make it so we hold the button down instead of mash it. My X button on my PS4 remote broke because of this. Had to switch to square button now. ):

  • @Venom368 said:

I have had very inconsistent results trying to break GF out of stealth, especially on corn maps. But I had a very odd experience on Suffocation Pit the other day.

All gens were done, and Jeff was opening the exit gate. I saw GF stalking him, and for some reason I wasn't breaking him out of stealth by looking at him from behind cover. I knew Jeff was dead on hook and I was not, so I walked out in the open right in front of GF (who was not behind any cover, just standing in the open) in order to break his LoS on Jeff. I was standing about 5 meters away from GF facing him and looking right at him, and didn't even start to get the sound that I was breaking him out of stealth. I got marked, downed, and hooked.

Then, after I got saved from the hook, GF was chasing my teammate who saved me through a jungle gym that was far to the left of the exit gate. As soon as I entered the exit gate area, I started getting the sound prompt that I was breaking GF out of stealth. With 2 or 3 walls between GF and I, who was a solid 20 - 30 meters away from me chasing someone else, I somehow managed to break him out of stealth without having any LoS of him, right before I escaped.

This is exactly what I mean, playing him and playing against him I’ve noticed how inconsistent it is. Add ons or not, at times I’m getting exposed across the map and other times a person is right in front of me staring and they don’t expose. Same results when I play survivor, thinking to myself like “really? that counted as looking at him?” And other times where I’m like “well that was bs!” Lol

  • @Deadeye said:

Looks like some of you forget that you don't know how far you are already stalked. Just regarding the "super quick exposed" without being able to reveal in time. If someone doesn't notice me and I see a second survivor around, I love to 99 people to chase them and suddenly in chase shroud, stalk for the 1% and down them.

Sometimes, at least if you notice you got stalked a bit, if is worth offering the hit to reset the stealth bar, especially if you can body block for exposed people or if GF tries to leave you for no reason.

i only made this post because I was staring at a ghostface as the sound started to proc and kept my view on him pretty much point blank and the sound would stop then start again and stop once more. He stood there for a good few seconds as I tried to uncloak him wondering why it’s not working and then finally got the exposed on me and was able to catch up.

  • @TerminalEntropy said:

It's not a provocation but a legit question - have you played GF on higher ranks? Least high green, purple? Because GF is a noob cleaner, true, but adept survivors are quite good at destealthing him in my experience. Hell, there's a thread somewhere right now where a survivor put GF on a list of Killers he enjoys to go against, so... xD

I’ve actually been playing a lot of survivor recently and going against him at higher ranks and winning and destealthing him more easily, but it still feels wonky to me because I destealth him unfairly at times too when I for sure shouldn’t have and the GF should’ve got the exposed status effect. I think the devs need to look into him.

  • Honestly, makes no sense whatsoever as to why they added noise notifications. And have yet to address the new basement glitch... lol

a few seconds? 30 seconds is a long time.

Also, they are not "catering to whiney Killer mains" any more than they are to survivors. Please don't make this about sides.

I mean, he’s got a point, but you’re right, this shouldn’t be about sides at least. As hard as it may be the team just needs to try and balance the game the best they can, and the best way to do that is by listening to the community and judge and base it off that accordingly. The games super fun, but it’s got its cons no doubt, we can all agree on that.
