Okay. After all non-viable killers are buffed, sure.

TBH, Survivors just need nerfs to genrushing and looping and then Spirit can be nerfed.

-Gen times increased from 80 seconds to 90 seconds

-Gen time reduction has been nerfed. Two Survivors on a gen will complete a gen in 60 seconds (from 40 seconds)

As long as Survivors can do their objectives as quickly as they can now, Spirit and Nurse must remain to counter their bull and stand a chance against elite Survivor teams. Something Survivor mains don't want to acknowledge.

A lot of red ranks still fall for it, despite her animation reset and glittering while phasing.

It seems like you argue with me in every topic I'm in... are you following me?

So, you basically just confirmed that Survivors are absolute morons and should be told to "git guud" instead of screaming for nerfs?

There's only a few legitimate complaints you could make against Spirit. But that doesn't matter, she's gonna get a """""tweak""""" that goes too far and destroys her because of community emotion. Same as Legion.

I think it is a joke about spirits nerf threads and also... but..but she is too op 😢

    Explain how.

You only have a few valid complaints BTW. I will destroy any other non-valid ones easily.

  • @Speshul_Kitten said:

I’ve downed just as many survivors by “mindgaming” aka standing still, as I have from phasing.

She really needs more indicators to go off of. Then buff her passive phasing add-ons if you want to make it more difficult to detect her actual phasing.

You sure you aren't at low ranks?

  • Imagine actually falling for "standing still" mindgames.

Like, this only works if you're new to DBD or if you haven't gone up against Spirit before.

You are literally a idiot if you fall for this in 2019.

There is so many more compelling complaints you could have made, OP. But you went for the stupidest one.

  • Some interesting ideas here... but here's the ones that seem the best:

-No red stain and/or terror radius.

-Can't see whether hex totems are lit

In addition to what Blindness does now.

I'm fine with the flame around hex totems no longer being revealed, same for no red stain. But "terror radius" would relate more to sound than sight... as a result, it wouldn't make sense.

Red stain is a major thing for loopers as it's what they primarily look for when deciding how to move. No red stain would make a lot of Killers much more dangerous.

  • TBH, they need to just fix protection hit scoring as well as clarify which protection hits count. Because right now, it's possible to obtain two "Protection" scoring events at the same time, and have only one or NEITHER count towards Mettle of Man progression.

Not only that, but the perk is not specific for how long your aura is shown to the Killer when fully healed. A friend of mine said it's around 10 seconds... if they are right, that needs to be put in the perk description.

Why are you being so confrontational and personal? There's no need to attack me. I've laid out my arguement against your post and that's that. If you disagree then so be it but there is no need to be devisive and insulting.

Nice dodge. Thanks for letting me know you're a waste of time to argue with.

"Why are you being so confrontational and personal?"

I'm gonna be honest; I mistook you for that other person in this thread "DukeJukem".

But let's be real here, you're doing the exact same thing.

"Lmao really? I play killer 90% of the time.... I'm far from a survivor main. Certain playstyles that Legion had did not have much counterplay. If you deny that then whatever. More your problem than mine."

This was in the comment I responded to. You're being... what's the phrase... passive-aggressive at minimum with that last bit.

"There's no need to attack me. I've laid out my arguement against your post and that's that."

I responded to you, you passive-aggressive moron. I even destroyed all of your entire arguments. Did you just look for the "stupid" part, latch onto that and then write your response?

I absolutely HATE talking with people like you. You think you can talk trash and then not get it in return. You think you automatically deserve respect when being responded to when you be passive-aggressive.

And you didn't answer my proposition, so I guess Spirit stays then. So long as Survivors wish to genrush and always loop the Killer, Killers like Spirit must stay. Simple.

  • I really like the idea of a mimic Killer, and I don't remember why the devs won't do it. But "Phantom Presence" sounds like a complete Killer Power. That could be used for a new Killer instead of a rework. It also doesn't match the Legion's background (Iron Maiden) they seem to frown when it comes to the use of lockers or hiding spots.

Concerning that gen sabotage speed tho… it needs to be higher than a single Survivors repair speed.

Also, can Phantom Presence mimic Survivor items as well? It would be interesting to see Survivor items maybe used on other Survivors... like being able to inflict a debuff on a downed Survivor with a medkit while mimicking another Survivor who has a medkit.

  • @Saitamfed said:

I like the idea. Actually I had the same idea in mind. Survivors are supposed to have an advantage in hiding and killers in chasing. At the moment the survivors are good in hide and chases (loops) as well. Killers shouldn't be looped because they are supposed to be good "hunting their prey" but right now a good survivor and a good team specially makes the hunter a prey when it should be the other way around.

I would like to see an increase of 5% (10% in some cases) of all killer's base speed. I tested it with PWYF and it is really good for some killers. Not as a perk, the killer's base speed should be bigger and Bloodlust should give you a better boost speed (like 0.5 , 1.0 , 1,5 or at least 0.3 , 0.6 , 0,9 )

Devs have made it clear they don't take suggestions regarding increasing killer base speed. They don't respond to these kinds of suggestions.

More tools for Killers to win chases would be nice. Same for more or better stealth options as Survivor. I play both sides, I definitely want to be able to exit chases more often instead of having to loop the Killer.

  • @UlvenDagoth I request a link to that topic you made defending Legion. :>

Ok, now I feel like I gotta help represent too. I'll run Susie next time I play. See you in the fog survivors~

Throw in a toxic anti-healing build for good measure if you want. ;)

Thano, Barbeque, Sloppy and Ruin are what I typically run. As I like getting a lot of BP in exchange for getting super sweaty with one of my favorite low-tier Killers.

  • @Kabu said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/766806#Comment_766806

Lmao really? I play killer 90% of the time.... I'm far from a survivor main. Certain playstyles that Legion had did not have much counterplay. If you deny that then whatever. More your problem than mine.

As for Spirit, survivors do not like and have a difficult time versing Spirit as there is very little feedback with her power. There are counters and I've written a small novella of said counters but that doesn't mean they are reliable. I mained Spirit since she was released until about a few weeks ago when I realised that I hardly ever got less than a 4k unless the last one found hatch. I also realised that survivors really do hate going against her and all the complaints weren't just venting/hot air.

Now I play a lot of Ghostface and do very well with him too.

I want the survivors to have fun too (as long as they aren't dick heads).

"Certain playstyles that Legion had did not have much counterplay."

Oh, you mean "tunneled via Frenzy"? Buddy, that was a trash strategy. Sure, it MIGHT get the Survivor downed, but it took so damn long that gens would get popped. Legions were discouraged from doing it as a result.

And if you're going to do the even more stupid "YoU CaN'T EsCaPe FrEnZy" whenever someone got hit and you were revealed via Killer Instinct... because y'all didn't know how to ######### RUN IN STRAIGHT LINES... or run ANY exhaustion perk.

Legion's power was absolutely useless if Survivors scrammed. It was easy to outrun.

Deep Wound tunneling, trapping someone in Deep Wound and then downing them with a hit when they couldn't move, and moonwalking are some of the only valid complaints. Plus the blade exploit. The way the devs handled this was absolutely awful and made Frenzy a non-existent threat.

"As for Spirit, survivors do not like and have a difficult time versing Spirit as there is very little feedback with her power."

Because you're stupid and don't actually watch the damn Spirit you're going up against whenever she does chases.

Bad to average Spirits tend to move in predictable ways, and not being able to see Spirit when she's vaulting is the STUPIDEST complaint imaginable. If Spirit does not appear after a few seconds, she is most likely phasing. Simple.

"There are counters and I've written a small novella of said counters but that doesn't mean they are reliable."

And they shouldn't. Because then elite Survivors will always go for that safe tactic and be able to loop Killers for multiple gens.

I have a proposition: I'll let Survivors nerf Spirit and Nurse... in exchange for gen times, looping and genrushing being nerfed. Sound fair?

If you don't agree with this, then Spirit stays. Period. You don't get to ruin the game for one side while keeping your side fun.

  • Just a quick note: I've been seeing quite a few people outside of this topic who are not happy with the Nurse nerf.

This isn't "Nurse mains only", I'm seeing people with different icons commenting as such.

You can make complaints about how groans of pain get you hit by Spirit, but pallets and vaults exist. Plus Iron Will.

I would say Legion. Literally have not seen one of these since August (PS4). Don’t know whether it’s because Legion is bad or whether I have a very strange bout of luck? I don’t play Legion either as killer but I didn’t think they were that unpopular.

Oh? Look out for a P3 Julie Legion then. As that is most likely me, "KHFanOnline1".

I would like to fite you online sometime. ;)

  • @Kabu said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/96343/plague-is-the-new-legion

Spirit is the new Legion with how often she is complained about and having little counterplay

Found the person who drops pallets and then runs away from a obviously phasing Spirit, leaving scratch marks everywhere, doesn't vault and then complains about "NO COUNTERPLAY" when they get inevitably hit.

Thanks for also confirming the "no counterplay" complaints are stupid as well by comparing Spirit to Legion. Legion had counterplay, which MANY people repeatedly told y'all. You Survivor mains didn't listen.

There is quite a few things you can do against Spirit. Iron Will helps, but there are mindgames involving pallets. Moving in odd directions, vaulting pallets and fast vaults when you predict the Spirit's movements is another.

A few of her add-ons need tweaking, but prayer beads need to stay for that achievo/trophy involving gen grabs. She's definitely skilled and not "luck-based".

  • But did they mention it in-game. That is the question.

The devs have straight up said they have a "no kids allowed" rule in place when they were going over the Stranger Things chapter, introducing perks and characters and the Hawkins map.

I was, however, laughing in Laurie Strode when they said that.

I recall Nancy and Steve being high schoolers in Stranger Things so having them as high schoolers is not a issue. Netflix, however, might have forced them to age up Nancy and Steve because of things like Hag's mori. I've only watched Season 1, but they make sure to never kill kids on screen.

Yeah, Coldwind is "Billy's map". It makes perfect sense they work best on that map. But a lot of other Killers don't experience the same joy as Billy unless they're Nurse or Spirit.

  • @TheRoyalOwl said:

They might have removed it because making a teacher a killer would imply she would kill kids.

    That's possible.

Also, Adam is a teacher. Might be seen as unoriginal if we had a teacher killer unless they did different things.

Also, Killers like Clown had powers and appearances that had to do with their backgrounds. Common teacher crimes are pedophilia and child murder... I don't think the devs would be fine with even mentioning that in-game, right?

For the record, just based on the quotes you sent, I don't think he was contradicting himself at all. It was pretty clear to me that what he cares about is not whether the characters are gay, but why the designers made that choice.

Also heated political debate has been going on around homosexuality, gay rights, gay representation, etc. for literal decades, so bringing "a certain someone" into this is not only against forum rules but also irrelevant - both because of what I just mentioned, and because America is not the entire world and not everyone's opinions are influenced by the political climate in the US.

    This. ^^^

I do, however, disagree on that America bit tho. If you've seen other countries... you surely know that the media in America in influencing them, right?

I will only mention one thing and then I will mention no more, as I don't want to get the mods involved: The Trump balloon.

    That should prove my point.

America's politics affect the world. It is sad, but it's the truth.

  • Either Hag, Doctor or Clown tbh. But especially Clown.

I play on PS4, I've definitely seen a LOT more Demogorgon compared to Clown.

  • @Todgeweiht said:

Nah, this nerf butchered her pretty badly, but people will eventually adapt and overcome.

I feel like this is going to kill Nurse's ability to move around the map. It's a big nerf, people just haven't seen it yet. Spirit still has her map mobility so she is set to become the best killer in the game.

Spirit can be mindgamed, however. Nurse couldn't, in a way.

"It encourages people speaking up about these differences so people don’t feel ashamed of them,"

I had not said this yet, but you're making the same mistake as the others in this thread (https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/92434/making-david-king-homosexual/p2)

You are... how do I put this... taking OP's words and reinterpreting them. OP was saying the KNOWLEDGE of other people existing with your difference is empowering. Which doesn't make sense.

This separate discussion we're having, let's keep it in the other thread. Also stop attacking anything I say it's getting annoying.

"No...You do know that this thread had a warning that it was going to be closed if things didn't get back on topic"

Things ARE on topic. I'm talking with you. Arguing with you on what you're saying in this thread IS on topic, despite you thinking otherwise.

Things are respectful as well. I see no name calling or major hostility, no?

"This separate discussion we're having, let's keep it in the other thread."

No, Ashley. We are not going to move relevant discussion so you can maintain a circlejerk.

"Also stop attacking anything I say it's getting annoying."

Breaking down what you say is not a bad thing. It's a structured way of dealing with replies. It's easy to follow. If this is "annoying" to you, you must not like having what you say replied to.

You're in a completely different thread from the one where you referenced something that I said and you took out of context and then yapping on about it. I suggest not arguing in this thread because it's already been heated here before and if you continue this thread will be closed.

Yeah, pretty much exactly as I expected.

Cherrypicking a outlier from a reply and handwaving the rest because it's the easiest to respond to...

Actually, you CAN argue/debate and be respectful. What you mean by argue is "agree with everything I and the other #woke people say".

TBH this thread should be closed anyways. It's not related to lore, it's a personal request. And you clearly want a opinion circlejerk if this is the stance you're taking.

You're trivialising too much. I used the word 'ordinary' and you're misinterpreting it's meaning.

I don't really want to discuss with someone who keeps picking apart everything I say looking for something to be outraged about. You said you're tired, maybe once you're more awake you'll make sense of my point.

"Trivialising too much" I see you're one of those people who keeps going "stop strawmanning me!" until people who have something to say in response go away, huh?

Because half of your replies have been ignoring what I've said and responding with some excuse on how I'm "misinterpreting" it.

Also, maybe it's... YOUR fault you keep getting "misunderstood", if you aren't just changing your general statement from the OP over and over again? It's your job to make your words and statements clear.

No, its a reference when a Killer perk used to spawn in her bloodweb. So ever since people called her a Killer or The Entity.

I thought it was because Nea was seen as ugly when she was introduced?

Samination is also definitely responsible for taking that joke and making it a community-wide meme. Most likely responsible for 'Nea is the Entity' as well.

First of all if you are going to take something I said out of context then at least let me clarify before going off on a tangent. Also keep it relevant to the original point which was made.

Yeah, pretty much as I expected.

"First of all if you are going to take something I said out of context"

Pretty darn sure I'm taking complete statements and responding to them. Of which aren't lacking context as a result.

And trying to tell me to "let you clarify before going off on a tangent" when this isn't a live chat and people have to type out full responses is foolish.

I also don't have to "keep it relevant", I'm responding to YOU and what YOU have said.

  • @AshleyWB said:

Actually I just read my post. I was describing my experience of feeling like I had to pretend that I was ordinarily straight like everyone else I know. Ordinarily meaning that I don't know any openly gay people in person and I still to this day feel like I have to pretend to be a straight person. I'm not really surrounded by nice people. My family and a lot of people in my neighborhood are really homophobic and I just don't feel like I should bother making it public or whatever.

    This is nice but...

When people read "As a gay person myself I think it can be easy to just pretend you're just an ordinary straight person" people don't think "I don't know any openly gay people in person" or "I still to this day feel like I have to pretend to be a straight person".

There's more that I want to say in response to this, I think, but my exhaustion is affecting my ability to spot what I'm taking fault with and forming responses.

… Sorry to hear that you are surrounded by hostile people though.

I never said it's ordinary to be straight. I said it's more common for people to identify as straight. At least that's what I think I said.

I realized that the options in this poll can easily overlap too.

I don't really see what issues you might have with my original post other than misinterpreting what I say. If I did happen to cause offense then there was no I'll intention and it would have been accidental. If you point out where I can edit it to sound more friendly.

"As a gay person myself I think it can be easy to just pretend you're just an ordinary straight person and keeping any oddity or difference to yourself because you'd assume people would take it in a bad/good way."

"just pretend you're just an ordinary straight person"

    "just" "just an" "ordinary"

    🤔

"I don't really see what issues you might have with my original post other than misinterpreting what I say."

I actually think I've interpreted your OP correctly. However, I would want to do this in a separate comment.

"If you point out where I can edit it to sound more friendly."

I don't think you'll be editing this, actually. I have problems with quite a few important bits, you're more likely to snap at me and start calling me -ist labels.

  • @AshleyWB said:

    Ok back on topic.

I reread the original post and I think many of us are missing the point as to what he says.

"I know one person's request might not be heard, but I know there are alot of LGBT people who play this game, and looking at other online games who have had LGBT characters written into the law such as overwatch. It would mean the world to us if we could just have one character who we can say "this game shows us pride, respect and love.""

It doesn't necessarily mean "let's make a character gay" but more "can we see some sort of appreciation towards people of various walks of life, backgrounds and sexualities etc from some characters"

Personally if it talked more in depth about feelings and emotions and stuff like that in some characters lores then it makes them feel more human and relatable.

I think having a character to relate to can make you really enjoy the game much more. It doesn't mean it has to be sexuality that you have in common. Like for example I used to do that thing where I hold my hand up Infront of my mouth in shyness just like Dwight does. I feel like I have a lot of similarities to Dwight and it's really engaging thinking about that.

Same can be said if you have anything else in common with someone in dbd.

"It doesn't necessarily mean "let's make a character gay" but more "can we see some sort of appreciation towards people of various walks of life, backgrounds and sexualities etc from some characters"

Claudette. Adam. Feng. You already have representation.

Here's a question: Why is this important? Why must people see appreciation in a horror game?

Don't get smart and go "WELL ITS NOT IMPORTANT PEOPLE JUST WANT TO" you know what I mean.

The answer: You shouldn't. You shouldn't be expecting a horror game to be showing appreciation for anything. If you are looking to fictional media to validate you, you need help.

"Personally if it talked more in depth about feelings and emotions and stuff like that in some characters lores then it makes them feel more human and relatable."

Being gay = more relatable now. Nice. This is one reason why people are against LGBT characters.

You're the same guy/gal who went and indirectly insulted straight people by saying they were "ordinary". This is to be expected tbh.

"I think having a character to relate to can make you really enjoy the game much more."

And I think whoever is automatically enjoying a game more because there's a character who shares a trait with them has twisted values.

You seem nicer compared to other woke/PC people so I'm more hesitant about getting harsh with you (in fact I find myself wanting to preemptively apologize) but it isn't important.

Are you saying that it should be like "Kung Pow: Enter The Fist" where they taught that one guy wrong as a joke.

Don't accuse me of trolling when I am trying to make a point. I don't troll and try not to be insulting as this forum should be used for constructive feedback and not insults.

On top of that Mending doesn't waste time as it is right now.

Entity isn't female, that results from the dev's mother tongue (French) not having gender neutral pronouns and them picking "Entite" because it sounds close to "Entity".

So sick of this. Orion really did a good job spreading the cult around.

  • I have a very bad feeling about posting here...

Autistic counts as a disability, right? I voted "multiple", as it is most likely the truth.

I agree with the Pig main, you say straight people are "ordinary" @AshleyWB It can rub off as insulting.

I also have quite a few problems with your OP. Of which I want to write about. But it's late and I currently have that text bug that replaces what I write when I try to correct something earlier in my post...

  • @Exerlin said:

Honestly, all they need to do is make it so you aren't moaning while injured. I would have voted for that if it was in your poll, but I do like this idea I selected. Although, I feel like it would be great as another perk entirely (especially since it would synergize with current No Mither)

Not moaning while injured... you mean Iron Will?

TBH, they need to eliminate moaning from No Mither altogether. I don't like grunts of pain going silent "at any time". I want consistency.

Giving more benefits to it would be better too. Either bonus BP or something powerful (No scratch marks, maybe?) to compensate for not having a extra health state. INCLUDING the "no moaning". While keeping "no blood pools" as well.

  • Yeah, OP, no, that is not happening. Sorry everybody, this was clickbait. The devs said they wanted to share it on social media, not put it in game.

On a more positive note... it's honestly amazing, seeing this small video blow up... I was there when it was posted to the DBD subreddit in the first place, back when it was still unknown... I wonder how it got from there to here?

I honestly wouldn't mind waiting longer for new chapters if it meant we got unique chase music and such.

She is pretty strong by default, but she has no animation for vaulting... An unnecessary feature for such a good killer.

Plus that prayer beads add-on,well it is just broke af. I'm ok with spirit=mindgames but people need to hear when she's phasing, or we have no way to counter her

She can be countered. Maybe try and watch her to see how the Spirit you are going up against wins chases?

And not truly knowing when she's phasing is part of how she deals with red ranks.

I am not for a vaulting animation for Spirit, nor removing prayer beads. Prayer beads is what helped me get that gen grab trophy and it can be easy at times to predict when she's phasing. Or at least protect yourself during the times a good Spirit w/beads would WANT to phase.

Yes, there is the worry that it would just screw with survivors and make the killer hear them when they shouldn't, but I really would like it if there was a very Overwatch-like style of voicelines, like they talk when they do a successful heal based on who you healed. They could easily make it so that it is impossible for the killer to hear what they say, but that would be kind of weird.

I am sure there would be a lot of interesting voicelines they could pre- or even post-game lobby.

But then they'd have to go and add voice lines for every single Survivor AND Killer. (Or at least, add voice lines for the more vocal Killers, like Plague and maybe Legion in a way)

They'd have to spend money to rehire all of the voice actors (they could save money for Kate because she also voices Female Legion, I think. Two for one deal.) and then program a way of using said lines.

Not to mention that they would have to design and implement how these systems would work. Could they be detected by the Killer and how, etc.

BUT... these could be interesting rewards for, say... The Archives. Which should be coming around SoonTM.

    She's the Entity

    This too!

Why would you ask a similar question? Obviously she is a killer (in disguise)!

    For 100%. No doubt.

Correct! Her latest cosmetic in the Halloween leak is proof!

Plague deserves a rework more than anyone imo. Because just like this poll she gets forgotten by everyone. I don’t think any other killer gets denied their power like her. It’s sad.

Plague can be a bit weak, but she is honestly quite fine. Better than Legion imho. She has strong add-ons too. She doesn't need a rework. Maybe a small buff, but she is fine.

    Legion needs buffs ASAP.

  • 4:52 New Wraith power buff looking nice.

  • I have a idea:

Hex: World of Delirium - The Entity is inspired by your odd behaviors and spreads it to others. While this Hex is active, all Skill Checks for Survivors become Delirious Skill Checks. Skill Checks also become 5%/10%/15% more frequent.

Delirious Skill Checks are uncontrollable, unpredictable Skill Checks that are much more difficult to hit. They can appear in random places, rotate rapidly in place, cause the red Skill Check slash to begin from the left instead of the right and move more quickly or slowly. These effects can stack randomly with no limit on how many are allowed at once.

Downing a Survivor and letting them recover from the dying state grants 1 token, up to a maximum of 5 tokens. Each token increases the chances of more effects being added by 7%/14%/28%.

This perk cannot be used with Hex: Ruin.

Here are a couple of fun hex ideas I’ve posted in the past.

Hex: Boneyard - 3/4/5 additional totems are spawned, and 1/2/3 of them will be lit as though they were hexes. The killer sees the false hexes with white auras. When cleansed, they make the same noise notification as hexes. Survivors still earn “hex cleansed” points for these fake hexes.

Hex: “That’s Not Fair” - When a survivor begins cleansing this totem, they cannot cancel the action until the cleansing is complete or they are attacked/grabbed. During the cleansing, they will be faced with 6/9/12 skill checks of moderate difficulty. Missing a skill check causes a loud scream, but still does not cancel the cleansing action.

    Nice ideas...

But I have a suggestion: change the wording of That's Not Fair to maybe something like... "Hex: Trap for the Greedy" or something like that. Or maybe... "Hex: Sticky Hands".

  • I think a lot of Killers have versions of "healthy to down" bodyblock situations. Trapper is actually capable of instadowning a Survivor who is trapped in a corner by placing a trap beneath them, then having them walk into it. Then M1ing them.

As a result, Demogorgon does not need this taken away.

Let them play solo to get the hang of it then play SWF. As SWF you can voice chat which is a huge advantage compared to solo players. Plus they're low rank so they'll get low rank killer and most of them are really bad so all and all it's a good change.

The friends won't play without OP playing with them. The friends most likely don't give a ######### about DBD and just want a game to play with OP. They won't play without friends, simple.
