No, this has been suggested before it's not fair. It's not even comparable. So if the last two survivors were crossing through the exit at roughly the same time, the one a second late would just be auto sacrificed? How does that make sense? There would be zero reason for survivors to stick around and try to help a survivor that is hooked or being chased because if they do they risk being last out.. and if they're planning on escaping it would be 100% pointless to rescue someone on the hook cause one of them would be guaranteed to be auto sacrificed.Tsulan said:
I would be ok with the hatch if the killer had a similar mechanic.brokedownpalace said:The only people upset by the hatch are tryhards. It triggers them to no end that they couldn't 4k and deprive every survivor of escape points. They'd rather slug the third survivor and then sit there or run around the map for 4 minutes desperately searching for the last survivor than just move on with their lives. It's all ego.
If he plays bad, everyone is about to escape but the entity prevents the last survivor from leaving and gives the killer 7000 points for hooking that guy.
Sounds fair, doesn't it?
I don't think you fully understand why the hatch exists. If it didn't then the last 1 or 2 survivors would have no hope of escaping in games where the first 2 or 3 were killed before 3 or 4 generators were completed. Remove the hatch or make it too difficult to get for the survivors and all you're going to get is a lot more disconnects and the killers will end up 1. Missing out on a bunch of BP, 2. Have a ton of completely unsatisfying "wins," 3. Have a much harder time acquiring trophies with killers that involve killing or sacrificing all 4 survivors. The hope of the hatch is what keeps survivors playing when they're getting destroyed by the killer due to that killer being awesome or their teammates being inept.
Left Behind is a joke of a perk and in 95% of matches would end up being entirely useless. That's like telling a killer to always equip Franklin's or Lightborn even when the survivors don't have any flashlights or other items because they might get one in a chest, even though there's like a 90% chance they're just gonna get some crappy brown item. -

Eastern, that is.

Around 11am.

I hope they release info on the perks and powers before they release the ptb. As a console player I just had to wait for a PC player kind enough to take the time to post screenshots of the Clown and Kate's stuff. The least the devs could do is put all that info in the patch notes.

I can't stand when I bring Kindred 3 and I play against Freddy.

Supposedly if you flag your own post it'll get deleted.

I misunderstood your question, but I still think it would be a funny bug.

Once triggered after the first gen Bitter Murmur will be permanent for the rest of the game.
-
Viable does not mean top tier. "Capable of working successfully." Viable means it is possible to have a good game with that killer against good survivors.
-
Also, speak for yourself, I do great with Wraith and sometimes even with Freddy. Do not enjoy playing as LF.
-
No, he said not every killer is designed to be top tier. Obviously he did not say they weren't designed to be viable.
-
He wouldn't even have remembered that.

I'm hoping Shape is one of them. It would only make sense given there's a new Halloween coming out.

They gave us 16 days, chill.

Just wanna see those patch notes tbh (ps4 player)

The hints about having a closer look and being watched.. and that mask has a third eye. Rip stealth
-
Self Care healing sounds and groans of pain should be louder and the skill checks should be harder (the tiers would affect this rather than medkit charges).
Botany Knowledge could be buffed to negate healing noises and make skill checks easier, as well as the increase in speed.
-
They mostly sound like pretty good ideas to me. The only thing I would change: instead of traps being activated automatically, make it so survivors cannot search Jigsaw boxes until their trap is activated.
-
I wish generators, hooks and especially lockers all varied a bit. Varying lockers would be a buff to stealth. If the killer had to actually be aware of his surroundings to notice where survivors can hide rather than CHECK OUT THIS BRIGHT RED RECTANGLE.
Some examples:
- In Haddonfield the lockers could be kitchen cabinets under counters or linen closets
- In Lery's survivors could hide behind privacy curtains or under beds
- In the Swamp maps survivors could hide in hollowed out trees or logs
In addition the normal lockers could just change colors a bit to actually fit the theme of the map.
It has about a 0% chance of happening because that would mean all new sounds and animations. Maybe in DBD 2. -
"JusT dO GEnS fOR TwO miNUtEs!"
Survivor DCs or kills himself after 15 seconds because there's literally no benefit to wasting 2 minutes of his life and there is no tangible penalty for DCing/quitting.

I think they should completely rework both DS and NOED. But fine, you want to use them? Then just know your escape/kill wasn't earned by your skill. Any killer that thinks they're good and relies on NOED is kidding themselves. The same goes for survivors who break free with DS and then tbag you at the exit gate. They're hollow troll victories.
You can tell how completely biased a survivor or killer is by how much they defend DS or NOED.
When I play killer, 95% of the time I don't use Ruin or NOED (the 5% is when I'm just trying to do a ritual on a killer I'm trash at or hate playing). The same goes for survivor and Sprint Burst/DS. There are so many more fun and balanced perks to use. -
I had two shirtless Davids healing my tank top David a few weeks ago. It was.. eye opening. I learned a lot about myself that day.

Nope.

Oh wait.
If you get camped or teabagged there's nothing wrong with getting a little angry. It's when you hold onto that anger and dramaticize it. Taunting in a competitive game now = toxic, bullying, harassment. Anyone who camps or teabags aren't just using annoying strategies or being a bad sport anymore, they are pure cancer in human form. -
Never been grabbed from a vault when healthy, never done it and never seen it done.

Feel free to camp if thats what you want to do, but thats not how you get points and pip.I didn't camp tho. Standing at 50 meters distance and patrolling isn't camping xD.
If you don't know this by now, Survivors consider everything short of a completely free and safe unhook to be "camping". You cannot hinder them in any way or you're "camping".

Present some facts, please. I'll need official numbers.
-
I just want the pallet interactions fixed. Don't really care too much about the other changes.
-
Yeah it's really frustrating lately.
-
How is that a matter of fact? Do you have statistics we haven't seen? Because in my experience if survivors "gen rush" (do gens quickly and not interact with the killer much) they get very little evader or altruistic points and end up safety pipping most of the time.NextKillerSpongebob said:@TheBean said:
The emblem system is a tool for guiding you to play certain playstyles that would be considered enjoyable for both sides of the match.Play a style that is more frowned on by the other side, you don't get rewarded as much.
What do you expect?
Do you think all survivors in the match get rewarded for hosing a killer and getting all gens done and escaping after 3 or 4 minutes? No.
As a matter of fact, survivors do pip most of the time when escaping after a gen rush. And do you think killers have fun after a game of pallet looping? I don't think we like running in circles. Would u if u were a killer?
What u just said is utter crap tbh xD Since the game is mostly only enjoyable for survivors

I've seen Doctors combine it with Distressing and Monitor & Abuse. It was very confusing.
-
Delete Bartex.

With less of a need for accuracy I think Clown is better/easier to handle on consoles. I stopped trying to play as the Huntress on PS4. I have a ton of fun with the Clown, though. People don't play him a lot so most survivors still haven't adapted strategies against him.
-
Also it would be cool if once you mori'd a survivor you wore their face for the rest of the match (or until the next mori).
-
Personally I wouldn't want LF to keep swinging after breaking a pallet. The survivors would adapt to that very quickly. He would be especially weak to Lithe.Acromio said:There are a couple of changes that could really help Leatherface -maybe I'll make my own thread with these suggestions.
- Reduce his terror radius -since Leatherface is supposed to punish bad positioning, a smaller terror radius could really benefit him.
- Reduce the baseline charge time for his chainsaw OR reduce the speed penalty he gets by performing this action -currently one of his biggest, if not the biggest, weakness.
- Change his chainsaw attack so it doesn't stop after breaking a pallet.
- Look at his "acceleration" stat and its related addons, because he's currently slower than he's supposed to be during the chainsaw attack.
I like your other ideas tho! Definitely needs a smaller terror radius. -
If part of this game is stealth, aka "you can't get camped or tunneled if you don't get caught," then you can't fault survivors for playing hide and seek when working on a gen is only going to get you found because the killer has nothing to do now but patrol gens.
-
It's not worth responding to because it's just bait. I even said in my original post that survivors who think they're good because they escape via the hatch need to get over themselves. But that doesn't really have anything to do with your second point. Only against a god awful killer would 2 survivors be able to complete 3 gens and escape. Waiting for the hatch in that scenario is as legitimate a strategy as slugging or camping.
-
Thread stalking because I responded to you in my own thread and then one more? You know, the two threads that were sitting at the top of the page? You must think you're something special.
And again, you did not make any observations because what you said did not happen. Please show me where I, or anyone else in this thread who said to get over trash talk, also said killers need to go afk after each hook. Things need to have occurred in reality for you to have observed them.
And regardless, it's pretty clear what the point of your post was supposed to be, doesn't matter whether you define it as an argument or not. -
You were making an "observation" on a person you created out of thin air. Your argument is that no one here can say "Don't take it personally" because everyone who does also says "Run across the map and go afk after each hook," therefore they are hypocrites.
-
@ZombieGenesis nice straw man.
-
Lol bye.
-
@ZombieGenesis
What a shock, you are saying absolutely nothing of substance because you can't construct a legitimate argument. -
The world isn't here to coddle you. If you get upset because somebody says you're bad at the game then you need to consider not playing the game. Demanding everyone "be nice" is unrealistic and pointless. You know what I say when someone trash talks me? "Lol."
And if there's swearing or a slur or threat is used I report them. And then I move on with my life.
-
No, removing the hatch would mean there would be literally no reason for the last 2 survivors to continue playing the match if there are 2 or more gens left. All removing the hatch would do is increase DCs.Tsulan said:Typical survivor comment after escaping through the hatch: "gg eeeeezzzz"
Typical survivor behavior once 2 gens are done and 2 survivors are dead: search the hatch and hope the other guy gets found first.Applying your logic, the survivors would only lose out on some points if the hatch was removed.
The rest of your comment isn't worth responding to. -
That doesn't even make sense. The 4 survivors are 4 seperate people, first of all. So taking an escape away from one survivor is not the same as a killer missing out on one kill. Second, the hatch escape is not free. Easy? Sure, it can be. But there are things the killer can do to prevent one. Like slugging. Please explain to me how your reverse scenario would even work.ZombieGenesis said:Why doesn't your logic work in reverse? Why doesn't the killer get a free kill the second 3 survivors escape? The killer would still technically lose and the survivor's win and fair is fair, right?
Man you guys are so thirsty. You two literally sit on this board waiting to pounce at anything that can be even remotely construed as pro survivor.
