Pretty typical tbh 😅

The only people who say the perk is good in its current state are people who do not want survivors to have decent perks. Probably still complaining about DS too.
-
Healing takes 16 seconds so it saves 8. It's still a weak perk, however, because of how conditional it is. Not to mention you usually spend 3 seconds fighting with them to let you heal first so that wipes out a lot of the benefit.
-
I agree with you completely. Everyone's always so focused on punishing DCs and suicides. How about rewarding people who play fair? Look up rewarding vs punishing. It's well known which is more effective.

What if you try to Kobe. What triggers as "suicide" on hook. Would slippery meat affect it? Or monstrous shrine?
Just incremental time ban DCs and be done with it. Few BP extra wont offset the problem of people who already dont want BP.
Suiciding on the hook means you try to escape and then don't struggle. You can try to escape and then struggle and you would still get the points.
I'm not sure why rewarding good players in addition to punishing the DCers wouldn't be more effective than just punishment. Positive reinforcement is more effective than punishment.
-
Wraith used to have built in bloodhound. They got rid of it. Probably because it made escaping him when he was cloaked and you were injured nearly impossible.

Any change to prevent DCs at this point would be welcome.
But just to clarify and possibly point out a couple problems with your idea:
When is a match considered "complete" in this scenario? I would assume this means once everyone has returned to the lobby, but what does this mean for survivors killed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd? Will they be rewarded a bonus immediately upon being killed? Would the 1st survivor to die receive less of a bonus or would it be a flat amount?
I ask these things because having an automatic BP incentive upon exiting/finishing the game could easily be abused. It could lead to a rise in letting yourself die on hook, or even just afking at the start of the match and getting free points for not even playing.
I meant you just don't get the completion points if you suicide on the hook, not that you are unable to do it at all. And I like your idea of any player(s) who stays gets part of the points of the player(s) who DCed. That's a great idea.

A small amount of shards and bonus BP based upon all the BP gained during the trail could be something for everyone who didn't disconnect but like, as mentioned earlier in the thread, WHEN are you rewarded? When everyone's done?
As in my original post, you only get the points if you stay till you get to the results screen without suiciding on the hook.
-
@Peanits said:
This would be pretty interesting. I'm not so sure how much of an effect this would have on disconnects since people who DC already lose everything, so not getting a few thousand bloodpoints likely wouldn't deter them. I'll bring this to the team, nonetheless.
Yeah that's a good point but I figured it would be a nice way to reward people who do stay in addition to possible punishments when dedicated servers come.
Thanks for the response!

The match would be complete when you get to your results screen. In my post I said suiciding on the hook would only be okay if there's one other survivor left. As far as going AFK I don't think that's worth 5-8k BP but they could probably detect when people go AFK and not award them the bonus.

I had Survivor's dcing during double bloopoint week with 2-3 Cake's burnt. I doubt it will help.
The people who DC don't care about BP's, they are just and/ angry and just want to leave.
At least that's what I have seen.
I think the dedicated servers will allow BHVR to track the repeat offenders and issue bans more consistently. I think that alone will be enough to deter DC's a lot
That's a good point but this is mainly to encourage people who are camped and tunneled to stay. There's nothing worse than being the Dying Later survivor and the killer camps you to Mori or get you out ASAP. Coupled with the punishment of DCing I think this would help. Because we might just see a shift to suiciding ASAP rather than outright DCing.

@brokedownpalace if the survivor plays bad, he dies, earns little points and moves on to the next match. If the killer is bad, he can´t leave early. He has to stay until all 4 are dead or left.
Individually speaking, there are bad matches and good matches. But the blood point gain per HOUR is roughly the same.
The 4 survivors can agree to use offerings to increase the points. The killer has no vote on that matter. He can burn his offering and has to hope, that survivors don´t dc early.
You can also use perks to increase your earned blood points. It´s all there, you just have to use it.
Those are fair points. Especially about the killer having to stay in a match when a survivor who dies moves on, sometimes much more quickly.

Is it possible for survivors to make similar or more amounts of BP than the killer? Yes. But it is not common and my and many others' experiences. So for you to claim that the two roles make the same amount per hour I'd honestly need to see like statistics from the devs to believe that. Nothing against you personally, it's just very much in contrast to what I normally see.

What are you basing this on?

I can't delete tags in my comments on the mobile forum. Like if I accidentally tagged the wrong person. I have to go to the draft page and delete the entire comment. Pretty silly.

I'm disappointed, for sure.

"Next time" he says, yet changed the camera from observing his surroundings to facing towards the combine harvester as soon as Ghost Face's bright red cloth trails are spotted stalking the other Survivor, conveniently blocking Ghost Face from view to then act all surprised when he stands next to you.
Why people enjoy being lied to for entertainment is beyond me.
Is this a joke?

The rng of those traps work both ways my dude. When you're playing Amanda do you know how annoying it is to have someone get their trap off in their first box. Especially considering you can't restock your traps meaning of somebody gets that thing off in 15 seconds it was a practical waste.
Secondly if you keep running into pigs that search the boxes around where you are hooked maybe it's a little bit of a hint to stop going for boxes directly right by the hook go to the furthest ones then come back later.
Lastly the purpose of a reverse bear trap is to waste time during the trial if it's wasting time it's doing its job. Even the Deva themselves after the end game nerf to the trsps, that pigs are meant to use their traps in the game to slow it down not anywhere else.
Now when you say tunneling do you mean that are actively going out of their way to look for you or do you just happen to run into the pig and expect her not to chase you because you have a reverse bear trap on.
Because as somebody who has played pig I have found survivors running around like headless chickens with reverse bear traps only to get incredibly offended because I did go after them whilst they are under the delusion that me looking in the direction while they have a helmet on is tunneling
Like ignoring everybody else and going straight for the unhooked player even though they have a trap on and the 3 other survivors are freely working on gens.
-
Pig is one of my least favorite killers to play against. Running around the map trying to get your trap off is not fun gameplay. I wish it was less about randomness and took some kind of skill to get the trap off. Not sure how that would be accomplished though.
And many Pigs tunnel you even though you're wearing a trap. So that's fun.
-
Don't wait more than like 30-60 seconds with 3 survivors. It's almost guaranteed to be bugged.

Bye :( Hope you come back some day

That's one of the tricks. The first one being "virtual currency".
First, they'll make you buy packs of "little funny innocent coins" with real money. Because getting you detached from the idea of wasting real money in virtual goods is the first step.
Then they'll slap price tags around carefully calculating stuff, so you will never, never end up with zero funny coins after purchasing something. What will you do with your spare funny coins, since you can't change it back to real money?? It would be a waste if you just leave them there!
Simple. Buy more and look to spend them again, perhaps THIS time you'll find out how to spend them all at once...
Yeah this is all very true. Lots of sneaky tactics. Also the illusion of being able to buy things with shards. You can, but the rate you gain them is purposefully painfully slow so as to frustrate you. I spent about a month and a half of semi regularly playing the game to earn like 10.5k shards. I was able to get a single cosmetic item and then I bought bloodpoints from the shrine. That's not worth a month and a half of my time, but the last two chapters have been licensed so what else am I going to buy?

Ruin is not a necessity.
Careful. That's a highly downvotable offense.
-
If they're not gonna nerf them then they should make them rarer and more expensive.
-
I like how the prices and auric cell amounts don't line up so you always have like 30 auric cells that you can't do anything with
-
I'm honestly not even sure why they gave it the buff that they did. All it did was draw attention to the fact that the perk is completely useless now.
-
I think the idea is pretty good but it might encourage camping and tunneling straight off the hook. People would so worried about losing their mori.
-
They effectively destroyed the perk. But they left it OP long enough to maximize sales.
-
Yes, please. I love hope by 2 minutes is not enough. I'd even be okay with 3 but of course I'd prefer your idea ;)

Maybe with BS kicked gens regress faster

at rank 1 its just a waste of a perk so i dont know what you came up with difficult so yeah first play rank 1 killer then you can talk xd
I have no idea what you're even saying. Use punctuation. Don't assume because someone doesn't agree with you that means they haven't played rank 1.

@Tru3Lemon said:
Theres some perks that could be combine to one perk example brutal strength could fit good with pop goes to wisle, ruin could be combine with thrill the hunt
So Ruin should by default notify the killer and take 50% longer to cleanse? No thank you.

Have the naysayers ever considered that a change like this could actually bolster the population?
BHVR isn't willing to take risks.
I actually agree with you on something. This is a weird feeling. But seriously I'm so sick of hearing about how everything will split the population.

North America PS4 player here. Less than a minute wait since the double BP started and now into the event.

Like a fashion show? The lobby should have a runway!

Put your cursor on the character then hold X (I think A on XBox) and then rotate.

They've completely dropped the ball with this bug. It's pretty ridiculous.

Your own character model obstructs the process. You have to make sure you're not in the way. It's absurd.

Your logic is not that great, is it? ruin is necessary for most killers because it slows the game down by a ton, even if gets cleansed in the first 2 minutes of the game its time the survivors have wasted without doing gens or failing at doing them
Well this is a forum filled with mostly killer mains so I didn't expect anything less.
Except it's very commonly complained that Ruin is usually cleansed immediately after the trial starts, like within 30 seconds. If 2 minutes is enough for Ruin to give the killer a head start then why would people be complaining that it's cleansed in 2 minutes?
Pro tip: don't IMMEDIATELY sprint to your totem as soon as the trial starts and maybe survivors won't find it so easily. 90% of the time I see a killer walking to or from somewhere at the beginning of the trial that means that they checked in their totem so I go search that area. Especially when it's a random corner of the map and there's no gen around and they're circling around obstacles for 15 seconds.

What is there to look into, disable the perk.
Maybe that's not something they can easily do. They'd have to push it in a hotfix so I imagine they'd rather just fix it than take the time to disable it. But I agree with you that they should be addressing these issues more publicly and give us status updates. "We know it exists and are looking into it" really doesn't tell us anything. Will this take days? Weeks? Who knows.

Chainsawing pallets was adjusted at around 2.3 or 2.4 if I recall correctly.
Since that patch, if the survivor tries to vault the pallet at the last instant, the pallet will break AND he will get chainsawed. Does that fit your description?
Before that, there were ridiculous cases where the survivor would even vault back facing the chainsaw and wouldn't get injured, while the pallet was indeed getting broken.
I recorded and watched it on my PS4 a few times just to make sure. I was already almost over the pallet before he connected with it, like just about to slide off. From my perspective I should have made it over the pallet IMO but there may have been latency.
-
Earlier today I vaulted a pallet as Billy revved his chainsaw behind me. I made it almost entirely over the pallet before he chainsawed and hit the pallet. It broke behind me and I went immediately into the dying state as I touched the ground. There was no hit animation for either me or Billy or a scream. I've never seen that happen before, idk if it's normal.
