I think an exhausted debuff upon escaping a bear trap would be fine and actually quite needed considering how easy it is to escape from them

But the rest would be way, way, too much

Why do you think it would be too much? Nothing besides hindered actually affects a chase (and that is only vaulting, not pallets), and the debuffs all disappear after being healed which Survivors should be doing anyways after evading a killer or being unhooked.

As long as the perk is designed to reward bad play it needs a rework.

The only person that "bad play" NOED rewards is the Killer because Survivors didn't cleanse totems. It literally takes 14 seconds to cleanse a totem and there are 4 survivors and 5 totems...

Instead of sitting on a gen the whole game spend a bit of time looking for totems. It's literally counter able unlike the old NOED. Also a full gen gives you 1200 points and a dull totem gives 1,000!

NOED doesn't reward bad killers it punishes bad survivors.

I personally think NOED should be in every Killers BASE kit which would force survivors to cleanse the totems which I think would slow the game down just enough to balance the game out significantly and punish gen rushing. But hey it is what it is

  • Hell no!

Even if you have all perks you can use bloodpoints for BNP's, Insta-Heals, Mori's etc. Which is definitely an advantage over anyone who doesn't spend the money.

The game would become an even more toxic insta-heal morifest

It is funny how a lot of people here refused to take the video as an example of how broken the nurse is because “the player is too good” which is exactly what we have been trying to prove in these types of threads. A player can be too good with the nurse to point where he make you feel helpless in a chase, because the nurse does not obey Dead by Daylight mechanics.

In addition, some people disregarded the video because the survivors are not SWF which makes no sense to me. Solo survivors represent the majority of the player base and should not be neglected in a balance discussion.

By the way, any gameplay against a god nurse would make you look like a rank 21 survivor because there is literally nothing you can do other than hide behind rocks, hold M1 on a generator and hope that you don’t get found.

The fact that the nurse has been untouched for three years baffles me, even though she contradicts the balancing philosophy of the devs.

Once again you are not acknowledging that the best player SHOULD win. Most Nurse's are not as good as Zubat, so he SHOULD dominate with her. No one is arguing that Nurse isn't the best Killer, because she is. But it isn't so wide a margin that you are making it out to be.

You act like the Nurse is as easy to play with as Wraith... She isn't. She's hard as hell to master. Once you master her you deserve to be rewarded by beating the crap out of players that are worse than you.

Nurse is high skill, high reward. If you put in the effort to be highly skilled with her then you deserve to be highly rewarded, which most highly skilled Nurses are. And most low skilled ones AREN'T rewarded.

And if your teams keep getting 4kd by her then I would be willing to bet a large amount of money that you or your team is trying to treat her like every other Killer and you just can't do that. You HAVE to play differently against her or you die. Which is the way it SHOULD be.

You run Spine chill, Distortion, Urban Evasion, Quick and quiet. You LOS whenever possible, you don't go back to a gen she knows someone is near. You have to PREDICT and get out of an area BEFORE she gets to it. You HAVE to play stealthy. I mean REALLY stealthy. That is her weakness. But no survivor wants to play that way. They think it's boring (even though it's a huge mechanic of the game), or that it's unfair that a Killer makes them alter their play style.

So what happens? Most survivors DON'T. They run out in the open, they don't LOS, they try and loop, they use windows. They cockily keep working on a gen when she's obviously heading that way. And they pay the price for it.

Also in before "if hiding from nurse is her counter then they'll just run tracking perks" except no try hard nurse is going to give up Ruin/BBQ//DH/NC/CI/Rancor to do that. Until it becomes meta,a dn then guess what? Now the SURVIVORS have made NURSE change her build.

Keep doing the same thing against nurse and crying about the same result. And i'll wait for the "insanity" meme to drop 1,000 times over again.

rewatches Math88's depip squad and laughs even harder at this pointless thread

but yes lets pretend you can outplay a god nurse with "predicting" her movement

    gg smileyface

I don't understand this comment... If a "god nurse" gets 4k's then shouldn't they?

Zubat has insane hours in this game. He is super experienced and SHOULD dominate EVERY GAME against almost EVERY survivor he plays against because he is in his ownh level like Trutalent...

Why is that a problem? Shouldn't the best man win? If you are better than someone shouldn't' you beat them? If you are more skilled than they are then you should win and they should lose. That's how it works. I don't know what's so hard to understand about this.

People can't accept that other players are just better than they are. Instead of saying things like "man that guy was really really good I just got outplayed." They say instead "Oh he only dominated because he used the ONE killer that can't be looped."

No! He is just better than you! He was BETTER than the team he faced and it was evident.

Just accept the fact that you aren't that good. I have never seen so much entitled unsportmanship in a VIDEO game in my life. It's pathetic.

EDIT: You say "rank 1-4" like it matters. I get to red ranks every month as survivor and I am a survivor potato. Red ranks mean NOTHING in this game. Blame the design

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/587480#Comment_587480

It does actually. It does not matter if you have 1K or 10K hours in a killer. When a killer is this OP it is not balanced.

This statement is extremely ignorant. Thankfully most ignorant statements get ignored which i'm sure the devs will.

  • "Ya ! Zubat has maybe like 10k hours in total but i doubt he has even put 500 hours in nurse."

So you're completely ignoring that his other 9,500 hours gives him no addtional advantage? With those kinds of hours he knows every map, every totem, every spawn, every pallet, every tile, every window...

Map knowledge is half of the battle. The other half is strategy. You think with 10,000 hours he probably know hows survivors move, their tendencies, where they typically go and don't go etc. Just because all his 10k hours aren't just in Nurse doesn't mean his 10k hours mean nothing. He is extremely experienced in this game and that experience only helps him take the strongest Killer and of course dominate.

Also this team was definitely not SWF. There might have been a 2 man, but the other 2 pugged for sure.

Most players don't have 500 hours in the entire game let alone Nurse, and she is the strongest. Using Zubat is a terrible example to support your claim. Nures's add ons need a rework and nerf. That's it case closed. Stop playing Survivor the same way you play against the other Killers and you'll stop dying. Adapt.

  • OP has obviously been torched by too many Nurse's.

Breaking news: Not everyone is good at Nurse

Also teams have to adjust their play style around Nurse. Too many Survs do the same thing every single match against all Killers. They run around like idiots, get found, run from loop to loop, get downed after a gen or two pop, and rinse and repeat.

Nurse counters looping, so what is she weak at? Tracking. Someone mentioned how there are a bunch of tracking perks to assist in this which is true, except no Nurse would ever use them because she doesn't have to becasue of the way Survs play. Here's a strategy against a Nurse good or bad:

    1. Don't work on a gen right away. Wait til she checks it and blinks away
    2. Play stealthy and if she is heading your way after you've touched a gen you HAVE to get away from the area and not come back until later. Spine chill/ Premonition are vital. You have to predict when she will be coming your way
    3. If she sees you, you have to find a way to LOS as best as possible. Quick and quiet for LOS locker plays stall Nurses
    4. After she downs someone you have to counter BBQ because most Nurses will have it
    5. If in a chase without any LOS possible just get her away from your team to give them time to complete some gens because it is only a matter of time
    6. Run DH to extend chases

Nurse has a high kill rate because Survivors bring the same perks and play the same way against her that they do every other Killer, but she is different from every other Killer and you HAVE to adapt or you'll die. Which is how it should be.

I happen to be a very good Nurses (for Xbox standards) and I had a 3k the other day that I had to bust my ass for because the survivors just did well in hiding, staying away from me, and when I did chase they LOS well and ran me opposite of the other Survs. Honestly I should've only had one but two survs got cocky and Blood Warden saved me. It can be done.

But too many people think playing stealthy is "boring" even though it's a huge mechanic of the game and encouraged. IMO a good anti-nurse build is:

    1. Spine Chill/ Premonition for early hiding
    2. Quick and quiet for LOS jukes. Maybe Distortion here for BBQ counter
    3. Urban evasion for maneuvering
    4. Dead hard for extending chases

The one thing that I agree needs changing is Nurse's add ons. They are way too overpowered and need bigger drawbacks. The omega blinks for instance just need to actually do what they say they do which is decrease accuracy. Maybe even cause more addons to remove a blink so blink adding add ons HAVE to be used in conjunction with a positive add on and a 3 blink nurse is never possible again.

  • Honestly the Killer had a mental lapse then. Simply because to open a gate its a channel and to pick up its a button press/ click.

Why he held down the button instead of just clicking it i'm not sure...

Ivory I feel is fine same with Cyprus.

But yeah Ebony is too powerful. Don't get me wrong. It was even worse before but I hate it when I decide to play a couple survivor games to mix it up, have a "secret offering" show up, and then get tunneled into oblivion by a Leatherface who will break off whomever he's currently chasing just so he can track me down across the map and mori me. I personally never understood the point of the "4 Man One-Hook Mori Playstyle." How is that even fun to repeatedly do? What SHOULD happen is either every survivor needs to be hooked, the person needs to be death hook, or something else.

I also feel like if the EGC is active, a killer should be able to trigger a mori to kill the last person in style irregardless of being hooked or not. Sort of like in Deathgarden when Scavengers are scrambling to leave. You want to be cocky and t-bag? Be wary of the consequences.

I like the idea of Mori's becoming available after EGC is active... A lot of Survs stick around for no reason other than to BM really.

Also with so many good survs now 99% the doors it shouldn't be an issue.

  • @Onionthing said:

I also LOVE devour hope, and probably use it waaaay too often. Mori's seem counter productive to me as they don't really help me pip or farm blood points. I'm sitting on a nice stack of ebony moris on my main, which I only use on challenges or if I'm being harassed by a group (that is ... I have run into the same toxic jerk more than 3 times in a night.) Im sure there are people who love them, but for me personally Devour Hope and Rancor are more appealing because it feels like a Mortal Kombat fatality and I have to work to get more points. Maybe that will change if ever I have ALL killers and ALL survivors P3 .. but that is a Loooong way off.

I agree DH is bae. Again because it is earned (to an extent, like if you get a bad ass totem spawn then it's luck.

But MORI's to me just aren't appealing. You basically can't pip, it feels cheap, and from the Surv side it's annoying.

I have a sh*tlist I keep of Survs that have BMed me in or out of game. That is the only time I take a MORI aside from challenges. I would liek to see a rework.

  • Okay, i'll take the bait.

The first perk you mentioned is called Tinkerer, that almost no one uses btw. By the time the Killer even gets to the gen he/she egts alerted about it is completed, which would have alerted them anyway. Also that's ONE gen of the possible 4 that could be being worked in that moment. Killer still has to chase and down someone when he gets there. Literally laughing at the idea of Tinkerer being overpowered as it's not even close to being meta.

No perk exists that allow killers to see injured survivors unless you mean their blood trails with Bloodhound, which again no one uses, and does nothing against healthy survivors and doesn't assist in a chase. Only assists in not losing you once injured. Tracking perks are hardly cheating.

So I assume you must be referring to Nurse's Calling, which allow you to see aura's of healing survivors. Nurse's is a decent perk, but not meta and again, does not help the killer find someone not injured or in assist them in a chase. Also most killers have at least a 32m terror radius, and the counter is very easy. Don't heal when in the terror radius since Nurses only has a range of 28m.

The 3rd perk you are referring to is called BBQ and Chili, and is countered by either being within 40m of the person being hooked, or jumping into a locker before the person gets hooked which are both pretty easy to do. It's a decent perk but wouldn't ever be used without the bloodpoint modifier it comes with. Super meta (because of the BP's) but not even close to be cheating.

As someone who plays to red ranks of Survivor every month, I understand the frustration of playing Survivor (especially solo) in regards to how slow gens, healing, cleansing, and opening gates are. But calling the perks you listed as cheating is not a good strategy for getting anyone to take you seriously. Especially when only one of the four you listed is even used regularly.

  • I ran into a team that literally abused this on em the other day. it is so frustrating. As a Killer you have to have perfect timing and something as little as missing a swing could make a huge difference in the flow of the game.

For example if you miss what would otherwise be a hit because of the exploit, it could snowball to taking much longer to catch the survivor and pull someone off a gen to save, then pressure the next and so on.

It's also super rude to do. I found survivors would go out of their way to find me and run around, and just when I caught up they would trigger it. Awful.

  • @HazeHound said:

Why do you want to nerf mories so badly? Survivors don't have any mercy burning Haddonfield and taking 4x balanced adrenaline and neither should you.

Mories are fine, killer is a killer, remember? I would actually like to see a buff to ivory: if you havent use it, mori is still in your equipment.

Looking at it objectively. The equivalent for Survs would be after the first gen pops the hatch spawns and one of them automatically gets a key.

  • +1 on getting rid of button mashing. Honestly it doesn't add anything to the game and sometimes lag can kill you unintentionally.

Also people killing themselves on hooks hurts the team and shouldn't be allowed. If they want to die they can go to stage 3 or be saved then rehooked. Killing yourself too quickly hurts your team members too much by saving time for the Killer.

    It needs to go!

  • @ClogWench said:

I refuse to use them unless I encounter a previously toxic party. I don't think an offering should have that kind of sway on a match.

Agreed. It is just too strong in my opinion

    @FredKrueger said:

It's an ultra-rare perk. You grinded to get it. Survivors get ultra-rares too and run them constantly. It's fun for the killer to switch it up every now and then besides just throwing survivors on hooks 7-12 times every game...

Grind? I have 53 Ebony Mori's on Ghostface (he's probably about level 130). Hardly a grind and hardly "ultra" rare. But that is not the point as i'm not inquiring about Mori's being removed, just the Ebony to be reworked.

You can still "switch it up" with my changes above. Also you can still Mori using DH or Rancor

I'd say punishing mori use seems pretty salty when they're rare, tricky to use, and replace other offerings, but the main issue is still probably the baseline Killer expectations.

Aside from the yellow mori please explain to me how they are "tricky to use."

Also I have 53 ebony Mori's on my Stock level 50 Ghostface (probably truly level 130)

  • Pinky Finger at rank 10? Come on man leave those kids alone XD

  • Camping and Tunneling are generally newer killers that do not quite understand that you are better off not doing it. It isn't that they are being malicious it is just inexperience. Newer killers understand the objective is to kill to it makes sense that they camp and tunnel. Once you get to Rank 12 or so, the Camping and Tunneling severely drops off.

Also you get much better teammates that are not as inexperienced which is also a high rank problem.

you can LOL all you want... but I speak from experience, from pc to xbox, from rank 20 to rank 6, I do not play survivor anymore unless its with my friends because it has literally gotten to where I "might" stand a chance of survival on 1/10 games... meanwhile I can play killer with my eyes closed up to rank 6 when it actually starts to become a challenge.

gee, wonder why killer waits are so long, but survivor lobby happens within a few minutes.

    🤔

Except he is exactly right. Your comment about Killers holding 80% of the power is literally laughable.

Anyone who has more than 100 hours in this game or watches ANY decent Killer streamer knows that the Survivors are the real power. Even without SWF.

I am currently rank 1 Killer and rank 3 Survivor (main Killer) and without a doubt Killer is mind numbingly poison to play as anything past rank 7. As Survivor it is extremely annoying to get tunneled and camped but it becomes less and less frequent the higher rank you get. People love to complain about tunneling but not their teammate who unhooked them 5 seconds after they got hooked!

Survivor is relaxing and fun most of the time, but not as rewarding for escaping. Killer is stressful and fun SOME of the time, but super rewarding when you 4k.

    -Xbox Player

    EDIT:

Run Adrenaline, Dead Hard, Borrowed Time, and Decisive Strike. learn how to loop a bit, only save if you have to and focus on gens instead of healing. You'll always pip. ALWAYS

  • How about this for a rework:

"You have to escape... No matter the cost. Once you are the last Survivor remaining, the hatch's aura is shown to you for 5/7/9 seconds, and the Exit Gate's red lights do not light up when opening the gate."

You can't just gift a free escape, so this still makes the Survivor work for it by beating the Killer straight to the Hatch OR opening an exit gate, in which even without red lights is still risky. Buffing the exit gate opening speed clashes with Wake Up anyways.

This does make the Killer work more since he knows the survivor knows exactly where the hatch is, but without the red lights on the exit gates alerting the killer that someone is around it makes it much more mind-gameable and gives the survivor a chance.

However, the disadvantage the Killer has with this buff is evened out by the survivor equipping a worthless perk until the last 60 seconds of the game.

Also a nice meme build can be built with No One left behind, Hope, Wake Up, and Iron Will to be worthless all game and become a monster at the EGC lol

@Justice Thanks. Getting kinda tired of breaking it down into baby steps, lol. Figured some of these guys might get it only when they actually impliment it, and they should probably do THAT on a rank reset day so you don't have ppl getting slaughtered for 10 games in a row til they fall into an appropriate rank. As for the auto aim thing, I completely forgot about that. As a Freddy main, I curse auto aim, with how many times it's made me attack awake ppl who are standing next to their asleep teammates.

There are a good amount of people that use a controller with his game, simply for comfort. the anti-cross play people act like the survivors turn radius is like Wow or something... There is a limit to how fast a survivor and killer can turn, even on PC.

And the people complaining about PC Nurse vs Console... PC Nurses destroy PC Survivors so what's the difference! Lol

  • I had Survivor's dcing during double bloopoint week with 2-3 Cake's burnt. I doubt it will help.

The people who DC don't care about BP's, they are just and/ angry and just want to leave.

At least that's what I have seen.

I think the dedicated servers will allow BHVR to track the repeat offenders and issue bans more consistently. I think that alone will be enough to deter DC's a lot

  • @LordGlint said:

@FireHazard no doubt, I'm not saying they wouldn't. I'm saying "pro PC players" would never face ppl they're going to stomp. Ranks would prevent it. If a killer is out of your league, no matter the platform, they're going to naturally be a different rank than you.

Your logic is so beautiful. I can't understand why no one else can see it.

Console rank one's would probably max out at rank 5, 6, 7 save the very few truly good ones.

How is this hard to grasp???

  • I love how most PC Players think that all console killers are trash and miss swings because they don't have a mouse. Your mouse sensitivity doesn't matter when console users are granted auto aim, which can be upped even more when cross platform eventually comes.

I agree completely with OP, it would up the player base on both sides and is a win win. Also if they keep trending into a stealth direction then any PC advantages slowly dwindle the more Surviving is reliant on hiding and mind games rather than looping and BS 360's.

It's shocking to hear I know but there are some VERY good Console Killers, I happen to pride myself on being a damn good Nurse with a controller on Xbox.

This isn't a FPS where you have to be dead accurate. You just have to aim a swing in a general, very forgiving, vicinity and you'll connect. And for survivor it's even less so. As far as the disabling effects with customization who really, honestly, gives two damns.

I'm entirely convinced that any PC player who doesn't want cross platform is a entitled PC Master-race mouth breather, while any console player who doesn't want it is a baby killer/ survivor who is scared of any change and enjoys 10 minute Killer queues.

  • Hmm. I have leveled Ghost face to about 120 (70 levels past 50) and have 65 Gateus with probably 20 or so skipped.

Seems like RNG just was unlucky.

  • I'm sure I have forgotten a couple other things, but the list seems lengthy.

Also I remember the instant blinds! Holy hell what a time to be Killer XD

  • I think the cool down is too long. Better Killers find a way to keep pressure on survivors and the cooldown should max at 40 seconds in my opinion.

Also to make it more appealing to Survivors, Thrilling won't proc on the last survivor it procced on before.

And also enable the Killer interacting with gens when procced.

From a lore standpoint, the other entity blocking feature we see is abused windows and Killers are still able to vault them, so why not gens?

  • Here to remind OP that NOED can be removed in 17.5 seconds from each survivor.

Also, in before "ToTeMs TaKe 14 sEcOndS to ClEAnSe."

    (14 seconds x 5 totems) / 4 survivors = 17.5 seconds each.

If your team can't spare 17.5 seconds, then you deserve to get NOED. It has a counter. Use it. MoM had no counter except to down them after the first hit to make sure they never got hit three times, which isn't always possible.

    Do. The. Totems.

  • @Frozenscum said:

So what? Like if it is something new to acknowledge, SWF was in game for ages and that is obvious that SWF will share info.

What kind of information can they share?

Totem placement? Dont run Ruin and learn how to apply pressure without it, replace with other perks like PGTW, Thanatophobia, Sloppy, Discordance.

Your location? But even as solo survivor you can pretty much predict Killer location in 90% of time.

Certain perks you run? But that knowledge do not help them. Like if they know that you run Sloppy after first injure - will it help them? No.

Run more informational perks - Surveillance, Discordance, Whispers. Check hook site more throughly since SWF tend to be over altruistic. Capitalize on that.

If they try to gen rush during chases - informational perks should help you to acknowledge it and act accordingly.

I've played against a lot of SWFs, certain amount of them had 1-2 streamers in SWF and I was always taking my time after game, no matter of win or loss, to check their channel and watch game from their PoV, and learn what kind of communication do they provide to each other.

Believe me - there is NOTHING special in there to be able to RUIN your game as Killer. Several times SWF can't even explain WHERE exactly totem or where they are slugged with Knock Out. "I'm on the side of main building which look at the jungle gym with pallet and here is a big rock" And two other guys looking for him on opposite side, cause there is rock and jungle gym too.

Ofc, if you're camper and they say - he's camping, do gens, and you lose game with 1 kill at most, it is very "viable" information, but maybe start to apply pressure and stop camp?

TL/DR: Information that SWF can provide is literally couple of things: location of something and if Killer is camping. All other info do not affect Killer.

You are incredibly biased and it is obvious in this post. Let's start from the top since you want "argumentation."

Totem Placement: Actually, yes. Totem placements can be huge. And not just Ruin. Lullaby, Devour Hope, Noed etc. Regardless if YOU think these perks are good or not, if a Killer chooses to use them then he is doing so because he/she likes them or uses that play style. But because of SWF, the first person to run past it either cleanses it, or tells their teammates where it is. In solo, you have no way of telling anyone where a totem is, and depending on what it is will usually last awhile. At least enough to make a difference. But because you have information in SWF you would not have, it is unfair.

Location: 90% of the time? You might have a general idea of where the killer is, but that is only part of it. What is the killer doing? Is he chasing someone? Is he kicking a gen? Is he patrolling a gen? Is it a Hag or Trapper setting traps? Is it a Michael Stalking you? Is it a Huntress winding up a hatching aiming it your way? All this information is given to you by whoever can see the Killer directly. "He is heading your way." "He is in the basement, keep working on your gen." "I am looping him, go pick Feng up." If you do not see the insane advantages in just this point then you need to reevaluate your view.

Perks: Again, you are not thinking objectively. What if you have a key and he has Franklin's? Sloppy Butcher and Hex: 3rd Seal are annoying perks and i'd rather avoid getting hit if I can, so if I know they have it then again it's nice information that SWF provides. Overcharge is another one that makes a huge difference if you know it is coming. And going back to point number one, Ruin and Lullaby get identified the first 5 seconds someone is on a gen and now everyone knows that normal they would not.

I am at work and do not feel like typing an essay, but the advantages are endless. And it is not even about SWF. I love SWF. I play with my best friend and girlfriend all the time and we have a blast. But as someone who tries and thinks objectively, you can't sit there and deny the benefits SWF has over Solo survs. And that was the way this game was designed, was for Solo play.

  • I appreciate the suggestions everyone. Definitely going to garb Thana when I can.

    Thanks!

Let's just be honest with each other. What works for you probably wont-work for me. OK now it that we got that out the way.  Let me just start off by saying that I am a primarily console dead by daylight player.

OK now that that's cleared up. Let's start talking about The Killers.

People on PC constantly scream about how overpowered the nurse is.  Now don't get me wrong I can see that It might be the case  But she is the hardest killer to learn  and even harder to master.
On console  she is absolute garbage.  Seriously, I have never seen killers get bully that hard. We run loops around her And not to mention that if we managed to stun her with a pallet she better hope there isn't a flashlight user nearby.

You see killers on PC and console are dramatically different in terms of rank.

A good some of you or maybe all of you say that the wraith and Freddie are trash.  How ever on console they're pretty powerful if you know how to use them. Not just that but thanks to people listening to YouTubeers and streamers that constantly say they're trash  they lower people's expectations.

Which is funny because The wraith is my main and  and I destroy with him. All because people underestimate me before I even done anything yet.

That being the case I might one day make my own ranking system of how I see The Killers on console.  Before  I end this discussion  Let me leave you with 2 Things

    1. Devs I hope you can see this.  The nurse on console is weak for a reason. She was already weak to begin with but you need to understand that unlike PC we don't have the option to flick a joystick the same way we flick a mouse.  That being the case she might be the only killer that you have to or maybe in some terms need to buff only on console for the sake of her actually being played because I haven't seen a nurse in months.

    2.  But like I say at the beginning what works for you may not work for me. Also I really hope somebody that is a community manager at least sees this. when I bought this game on console I wanted to play the nurse but good lord its almost impossible after that rework.

Sorry bud but I have over 1,000 hours on Console and I have a few disagreements here. I have to put a disclaimer here though, as I have an Xbox One X, and can run the game at full frames. Back when I played on my old Xbox One S, it was hell playing Nurse or Huntress. now though they are great. I have all DLC Killers, and all are level 50, as will the Clown be when he drops.

I main Nurse, and she is amazing, but she requires that she be played well. If you miss time blinks, or mis-aim them, you deserve to be punished. In my beginning days on Dbd, I got bullied hard, but after I started forcing myself to learn her, and get all the perks, I can play some pretty amazing games with her. I agree with the " flick" concept versus a mouse, but keep in mind that controllers also limit the Survivor's capabilities at 360'ing as well. A small buff to the auto-lock for Console Nurse users I would not disagree with though.

Wraith is okay at best. His recent buff was a steer in the right direction, but he is not good by any stretch of the imagination. Only if survivors make mistakes or he camps, can he remotely secure kills. But after his buff he is definitely better than he was. He benefits from great tracking, and I do well with him too, but he still needs some buffs.

As far as Freddy, he is utter trash against any survivors that know what they are doing... there is absolutely zero reason why he would be better at Console than on PC. PC has better graphics, better frames, more accuracy by using a mouse... Console is inferior in all these aspects and should impact Freddy negatively. I myself struggle very very rarely playing against Freddy and struggle mightily when I play as him. All the things that he suffers from on PC he suffers just as much if not more from on Console. He is god awful. He needs a complete rework across all platforms.

  • I think the way the devs ee it is it's risk reward. Risk taking a hit and becoming injured to possibly get your buddy off the grasp. However as long as Self care exists it will never be risky as it should be. Iron Grasp should just be buffed with a one hit down feature, as buffing it with Agitation would be out of control overpowered.

  • I don't think she is hard to play as per se, but she definitely requires the most skill. What I mean by that is yes after two full hours you can get her down just find, but that doesn't mean you will have mastered her blinks.

She requires a lot of risk/ reward play. If you blink the wrong direction, or not enough, or too much etc you can pay for it. Good survivors who know how to run very sporadically and break LOS can still outplay a Nurse. She also suffers from the same old DS/ BT/ SB/ Adrenaline/ DH users. Dead Hard is incredibly frustrating to play against, because a guaranteed hit leads to a miss and longer stun.

She is high risk high reward in the sense that you risk being stunned a lot with no payoff if you can't land your blinks. I have had games where I literally chase one survivor the entire match because I just can't land a hit. other games I land all of them and get a 3-4k. I think she is very balanced, but in mastered hands is impossible. luckily not very many people have mastered her.

  • I love the idea, but I think it should be ALL random. What I mean is, even your character and items and their addons are completely random as well.

Like you queue, and instead of joining a lobby, you join and as soon as it is full it ready's up. I think it would insanely fun for Killers and Survivors to have completely random skins, outfits, perks, items, addons and offerings.

Also I feel like it should randomize all players into a 25% chance to play as Killer. Even if it's 4 man SWF. Also this should be UNRANKED and only award 50% normal blood points.

  • @deadwolfwalking said:
solos can still message other players. "NOED".... it should be invisible to everyone. if they're really interested, they'll wait....

Yes this is a problem. Regardless it needs to happen one way or the other.

  • @Runiver said:
Only for SWF would be best. And only if your whole SWF team isn't dead yet.
Solo players that die have the right to know what exactly killed them without having to watch the entire round.
    +1

I agree 100%, but I didn't know how easy it would be for the game to differentiate between SWF and Solo's. But definitely yes.

  • As a Killer main I agree dodging should be punished incrementally. I never dodge, because I also play survivor as it's just asinine.

However with that being said, I think you should be locked into whatever Survivor/ Loadout you have selected when you Queue. No more insta-switching. I think most Survivors can get on board with that.

why should i forget how to heal myself if i have the knowledge of healing, it doesn't make sense anyway. self care reset when stop healing is logic. also killers have good perks and addons to spot and debuff. so a limitation is (sry for that) just a very stupid suggestion of crying killers. how about limiting BBQ in usage? or ruin? or how about limiting noed? doesn't make sense either....

Did you seriously just compare Ruin and NOED to self care? You talk about "limiting" perks when Ruin and Noed can be destroyed. Come on man you're smarter than that! NOED takes 70 seconds worth of cleansing to counter, if you even go against it, that's your fault.

BBQ I will agree on, it is very OP (as a Killer main) but Self Care is just not needed when you have 3 teammates.

  • @Axlegolas said:
the clown has a useful perk to slow down healing, just use it. self-care is the only chance to survive so a nerf is obviously stupid. why do killers beg for a nerf? just hit the swf twice and hook them. what's the problem?

    "The only chance to survive"

Are you serious? You mean aside from the fact that you have 3 other teammates to heal you? Or that you can find a med kit in 2-3 chest across the map?

"the clown has a useful perk to slow down healing, just use it"

Lol. yeah and Survive's have empathy, bond. botany knowledge, we'll make it etc to help YOU get healed up as well, so why don't YOU use it.

I don't use self care, and made it to rank 3 last season late (easily). Self Care isn't needed and encourages teamwork when you don't have it. This post is 1/10
