I still don't like the design. It's the same add-on basically, but because one is a lower rarity, it needs a downside? That's like there (theoretically) being 2 chainsaw add-ons for Hillbilly, a green one that reduces charge time but generates more heat, and a purple one that reduces charge time without any downside.

It was designed almost 4 years ago

    times change

    addon designs change

in 1.1.2 trapper had both honing stone and iridescent stone doing the same thing, the only difference is that honing stone had a 50% change and iridescent stone had a 100% chance

much has changed around the addon its a thing of its time

but also there were addons with the same principal which were nurses additional blink addons

brown reduced blink range 10% and chain blink window 8% for +1 blink

yellow reduced blink range 10% for +1 blink

and green just straight up gave +1 blink

also a purple with 10% reduced blink range and +2 blinks, same downside for double the bonus

  • The first one increases the timer by 20 seconds (not decreases) from 150 seconds to 170 seconds

    I think its this one

makes a killer better at 3 things, drastically makes them worse at one of the most important aspects of the kit by removing all turning and margin for error

I used to main him and then I stopped to main Trapper, but I was watching an Oni streamer & she kept flicking his kanabo while she was charging at loops & whatnot to get downs on people. I tried doing it but I just couldn't get it right. I want to main the most attractive killer in the game, but am I being limited because I don't use a mouse & keyboard?

controller does have a limited control scheme for precision and speed in exchange for smoothness of movement, we can only move in 8 directions but you can move in any direction within 360° of motion, you aren't limited you just need to learn how to use your advantages you have rather than the ones you don't

  • Trapper, Ghostpeppers hidden and scattered around the pizza beneath the cheese to set some "traps" in the pizza

Wraith, Anchovies reminds him of home

Hillbilly, Bacon (I think you can guess why)

Nurse, Any blended and carefully dranken through her linin pillowcase on her head

    Hag, Mushrooms

Doctor, Unagi (eel usually the electric variety)

    Bubba, "chili"

    Pig, Same as trapper

    Clown, Another pizza

    Spirit, sardines

Legion, Meat lovers for some growing teens

    Plauge, apple slices

Ghostface, Pepperoni in the shape of his face or in the shape of a camera

    Demogorgon, "meat"

    Oni, "red sauce"

Deathslinger, tobacco he doesn't eat it he just chews the pizza and spits it out

Pyramid head cant eat pizza he has a pyramid on his head the pizza could never reach his mouth

Blight, Full stoner pie, fries, mozzarella sticks, pepperoni, bacon, and extra cheese, he has the munchies

Twins, the tiny table with a smaller pizza for victor on it

This is fair. I tried to think of a solution to mitigate this but honestly, I can't think of any. If killer bans were added, I wouldn't mind if survivors didn't get map bans in return, since I think map is more important from a killer PoV than survivor most of the time.

My point didn't have anything to do with killer bans, but I don't support those either, killers get 1 map out of 36 they don't like in exchange survivors ban the strongest 2~3 killers so they get extremely long queues or matched up against the swfs who don't get multiple bans, doesn't sound like fun, im sure all baby nurses and spirits would love to only get matched against swfs, you like playing a strong killer, while enjoy long queues and constant swfs, im frankly not for it

  • Nah, while it would be nice to never see Haddonfield again all it would mean for the maps is more of the strong survivor maps in rotation as survivors get more choices for map bans

  • It all depends on options

Basic killers on pc I would recommend starting with wraith he is a step above trapper in terms of power but a bit simpler decent learning curve and for 1 of the 5 starting options is pretty good with what you have to work with, use sloppy butcher, noed, whispers, and bitter murmur

Basic killers on console also has access to doctor, and hag, doctor is a great choice as his ability to find survivors helps make it a casual experience while you develop senses and instincts on where to go and where survivors are, for basic doctor just starting out I would reccomend using, whispers, monitor and abuse, sloppy butcher, and noed (only counting basic perks and teachables)

If you have every killer but want a casual experience use

bubba, simple perks, simple power, throw on bbq for points and the rest of the build is up to you but some strong perks are franklins, ruin, pop, monitor and abuse, any perks that throw off survivors or give you some stealth is good with his instadown potential

    or

demo, just a simple killer has a decent power makes for an ok time right down the middle in terms of skill required to use his power for a decent payoff, Builds (save the best for last, bbq, ruin, undying) (bbq, spirit fury, enduring, ruin) (bbq, ruin, undying, enduring) (bbq, save the best for last, enduring, spirit fury) some good addons are barbs glasses and black heart

    Two words:

    Blight's Bugged.

If you play Blight for an extended period of time, you'd know that you don't have much room to use other perks that compliments his power.

I once tried running Surge and Surveillance on Blight since I know he can get downs in good generator spots with his rushes. Except his rushes don't count towards Basic Attacks, they're Special Attacks.

You can argue then "Well, maybe STBFL would be good for him if he uses Special Attacks for his rushes". Problem with that is that his rushes are one of the most consistent and easiest ways to get hits on Survivors. You're not going to be building stacks, and if you're going to be playing an M1 Killer you might as well be playing Wraith who does a better job at doing hit-and-run playstyles.

Let's not forget the fact that his Blight Rushes are also inconsistent with maps and stuff. Yes, it's the most consistent output of damage if you know how to use it. But the maps themselves are so ######### that you don't know if you'll catch a Survivor or get ######### over by rock geometry and have to wait until your power restores itself again. Basically like a more ######### Spirit.

Also, if you are stunned at ANY POINT during a rush, you will be bugged and you cannot use your power without swinging your weapon which gives Survivors more distance in a cahse.

Also, ALSO, if you break a pallet or a wall with your power there is a chance for you to get stuck in place and not be able to move WHATSOEVER until the game decides you can.

Which brings us to the build almost every Blight uses.

Ruin is good because Blight is great at exerting map pressure all over the map with his Blight rushes.

Which is why protecting it with Undying is a no-brainer.

And that leads to Tinkerer which allows him to get some nasty hits from across the map and force a generator that is almost completed to go back to 0% if defended properly. There is literally no reason not to take this.

And of course, BBQ, to help with the insane ######### grind as well as show auras of Survivors from miles away. I've had cross-map hits with Blight that are not possible without the help of BBQ.

This build is basically a "Solved" build for Blight, It's objectively the best perks you can bring on him. It has the most obvious synergies with every other perk that is brought in as well as synergies with his own power.

And with the amount of times you get screwed over by nothing but the game on Blight, some players might feel like they don't stand a chance if they don't bring these kinds of perks. Now, I run it myself but the only reason why is because of BBQ. And because I don't feel like sweating that much if I just want points (But don't fret, you still sweat a ######### ton in Red Ranks).

Some kind soul told be a workaround to the "stun bug" where you have your power recharged but you don't have the prompt to activate it, hold m2 and press m1, and you will rush

Currently these feeds into his skill cap. Knowing what can be reliably bounced on and what can not.

I agree it’s a game losing moment to slide off kill shack while chasing a survivor in a time management game.

It reminds me of Nurse from about a year ago. Knowing can be blinked through and what couldn’t.

I still think collision should be fixed, and the skillgap should be created by skilled play not knowing if a specific prop on a specific map will send you sliding slide or not

Why have I not seen a cheater recently but a lot of others have?

Well this is just going out on a limb and guessing but most of the threads were seemingly started by newer forum members, which might imply they could also be newer players in the game, so there might be a surge of cheaters at low ranks so mid to high rank players might not see them if at all

Very rare you get a god pallet & most of the time you get hit through them and window vaults anyways...

Its not rare to get a god pallet, shack and long walls are on almost every map, if you pay attention to the size of the pallet loop created by them they are clearly god pallets

  • This information isn't really accurate

Blight has 5 tokens, each token adds 2 seconds of cooldown + a base 2.5 second cooldown/fatigue where tokens don't regernate making his cooldown 12.5 seconds maximum which is pretty close to spirit, on top of that he moves at 230% speed, not 250%

Nurse can't really do with more cooldowns, mathematically her basekit only gives her 105% speed, anything that would slow her down on top of that would make it impossible to chase survivors that run in a straight line, and minimum cooldown is 2 seconds of fatigue + 1 second for the blink to recharge for 3 seconds because you can't really play with only one blink, or up to 6 seconds for both blinks

Spirit doesn't have tokens?, she just has her power which is 5 seconds of use and 15 seconds of cooldown the longer you use it the more the cooldown

Billy is a 3 second cooldown, or if he overheats a 20 second cooldown, I don't know where the 28 comes from

They all have cooldowns which are usually enough to be played around

and yes you can still reduce the size of maps / the spread of maps, high mobility killers shouldn't limit game design since, billy, blight, and wraith, all still have to play around pallets so even if the map is smaller if they are more dense its fine

and nurse and spirit don't play around the resources anyway, so if you just have smaller maps they can't use bbq to find survivors making it harder for them to play fluidly

  • @SkeletalElite said:

  • Go for it, but personally if I see keys or 4 flashlights I don't equip franklins or lightborn, I just equip the strongest addons and a mori and wish them luck

  • She just needs a small nerf to make the gameplay feel more interactive

Whenever a survivor is unhooked all traps within 8 meters of the hook are automatically broken

  • @Laluzi said:

Eh? Not any more OP than they currently are, if I'm understanding this correctly. Map offerings are a thing.

But variants of maps do matter somewhat, there is much of a difference between badham varients (both map size and layout) or between rotten fields and fractured cowshed

  • Just let him bleed out, all survivors while downed have a 4 minute cumulative timer that when it ends they bleed out, dying

  • Base time to cleanse a totem is 14 seconds

but also games fine as is no need to add more factors to every match right now

  • It happened again but more details have arrived, apparently the glitch corrects itself after 7~8 minutes, the match instantly ends and everyone gets their points, was with blight again, on pc

  • Obviously its not just a tower since he is trapper there,

    its a dungeon

and what is actually happening is the lore is slowly building to the DBD x D&D crossover where we get a new D&D themed killer / survivor, and D&D players get a new DBD themed campaign culminating in raiding the tower to free the observer in the entities plane

  • Licker tounge adds 0.15 seconds on the 0.25 second hindered duration, meaning that the survivors speed boost total distance is reduced from

    11.7 meters to a whopping 11.5 meters

nope, sadly this is a real thing, I have a 3 hour long stream of which every other lobby loaded into a 4 man with the same tag, profile that says they are from brazil, usually 4 flashlights and they all leave some faster than others, I even posted screenshots that show some of said lobbies and apparently other people in the thread also had the same experience

    image.png

    ..

  • thats the plan, and the fun part comes after because once you hook the survivor you can shed most of your terror radius (especially with monitor) and be stealthy

after hooking a survivor and static blasting your terror radius goes down to 22 meters, or 12 meters with monitor and abuse, so you can go between having a terror radius of up to 80 meters, and go down to 22 meters, or (90/70 meters depending on if you were in chase while carrying a survivor) all the way down to 12 meters (with monitor) all while survivors are exposed for 30 seconds and they just told you where they are thanks to static blast

  • Yes the terror radius increasing perks have an affect on the range of starstruck

One of the largest possible is with doctor

double calm for +6 and +8 meters of terror radius

    Agitation for 18 more meters

Distressing for a 1.26 multiplier on terror radius size

And if you really want to go for it moniter and abuse and hope you get in a chase

(14+8+18+32)*1.26 or up to 90 meters, (while in chase and while static blast is ready) or you can drop moniter and have a constant 80 meters (while static blast is ready) and everyone within those 80 meters will be exposed thanks to 3 perks and 2 addons

If it's actually possible to report them, it's probably best to. It could be someone somehow launching a bot attack against you, given the consistency.

I doubt its against me specifically since I don't know that ive created too many enemies, all I know is that some people are very emotional over the game though so its not impossible to be a personal attack, but the current problem is I don't know if I should be reporting their behavior, either directly through steam or creating reports through customer support if at all, and im holding out for a hero (mod) to tell me what to do

Reminds me of the ~5 minutes where they loaded into the lobby, out of the lobby, into the lobby, out of the lobby, into the lobby as a 2nd group, out of the lobby, and finally got real survivors, I even have that on video, its honestly pretty annoying

  • @Laluzi said:

I'd report them when you see them. They've been rampant for the past week and it's pretty obvious they're just trying to waste people's time. Everyone's saying the same thing; they wait in lobbies, 3 leave once most of the time has elapsed, and one stays back and does the same thing once actual players fill up.

They're probably bots. I can't imagine anyone would have the patience to spend the whole day lobby dodging, much less several dozen people (or more, considering how often they're popping up.)

While id like to report them I won't until they give the go ahead and in what way I should report them if so.

I've maxed out at least 4 killers over the past few days and I've never come across this until Legion tonight.

I never said it always happened, but Ive seen it before, and had it happen to me before, I don't know why it happens, or how often it happens, Ive simply noted that the glitch it only seems to happen as you get close to maxing out a character not that its guaranteed to happen

  • its a glitch that seems to occur when you get close to maxing out a character

  • Thats not how hitboxes work especially with latency, they hit you on their screen, and the server accepted the hit, hits aren't rejected just because where you are on your screen differs from where the server is showing the killer, that would be completely unfair to have to hit an invisible survivor 0.25 seconds ahead of the model or more if the survivor is especially laggy

  • These things aren't related, and ds was only nerfed in a non tunneling capacity, if you are getting tunneled its just as strong, there is counterplay there just isn't any guarantee safety option which many people call "counterplay" and that is exactly how the devs intended it to be, there should never be the opportunity to be perfectly safe

Blight would be hard, but not with these perks and his charges being filled back up instantly

Blights still hard even with all that tacked on that doesn't suddenly fix all his problems players need to account for, bugs, and collision issues

It would still be blight vs survivors vs survivor perks vs bugs vs collision which is both a lot and more then most killers have to account for

And as much as I would like to play blight vs niche perks I have to go out of my way to use vs survivors vs their perks vs niche addons I have to go out of my way to use vs bugs vs collision vs brown vs board of education, frankly I just want the reduce the factors to something more manageable and these perks just happen to provide

Now that I think about it, would it help if survivors were able to see which killer they are matched before the start of the game? Just like the killer is able to see the players + items the other band carry

Problem, the fact that some perks completely demolish killers and now the survivors can prepare for it in lobby to tailor builds to each killer

All lobbies against doctor are now 4x calm spirit

All lobbies against trapper bring maps and dh to go over traps

All lobbies against hag bring flashlights and maps

All lobbies against nurse bring dh

All lobbies against spirit bring lucky break iron will

All lobbies against myers bring spine chill

All lobbies against hillbilly bring an indoor map offering like rpd so he doesn't get half his power (mobility)

All lobbies against bubba bring kindred and toolboxes so they can slam gens if he even dares think of camping

you get the picture, it just leads to unfun killer matches through tailored builds since they know what killer they are going against, and the only way to make it balanced would be to either buff the killers massively to compensate that people have the counter perks and make them overtuned against players who don't have the perks or remove the perks and take away survivor options so they can't counter killers

    wouldn't work

there are 24 killers which is why I suggested this, average it would only take 1/24 longer than normal, which isnt that much longer if you think about it, if 4 solo q bans different killers then it would only take 4/24 longer, which is 1/6 longer on worst case scenario. 5 min q will be around 6 minutes. not "easly 20 min+". The only problem I can see is people playing hatable killer have to wait longer such as spirit, deathslinger, bubba and freddy.

I also suggested problem solver for SWF, iguess u didnt read it.

Thats not how it works so ill explain it in more detail

If something like this was implemented there would never be an "average" queues wouldn't take "longer by 20% for all killers what would happen is 2-3 killers will be blocked by 90% of players and take their queue times rise to 20 minutes until you slip through some of the banned killer cracks

Its not some law of averages that would work itself out to not be that bad, its an asymmetrical game with a asymmetrical roster all that would really happen is that the top of the killer roster would be banned by 90% of players, sure mr baby dwight who is "wraith op because he invisible" might throw away his ban on wraith (bless his baby dwight soul) but most people will just take advantage over the fact that they never have to go against strong killer x and y every again or learn how to play against them and people who use or main those killers would suffer

And although you addressed the problem yourself you don't seem to get the fact that nobody deserves this, there is both no reason to cause these players grievances and no reason to specifically make a new system just to cause them these problems

  • I think its fine as is, its just a niche perk in need of buffs but I don't think this is the buff I would like to see
