It's time for another new question! This time it's a survivor one.

For me it would have to be... Elodie. What about you? Name that survivor.

    Jane.

She orgasm when I hit her

  • @TheBigGoo said:

This isnt a stab at survivor mains if thats what you think. I solo que most of the time and usually have great teammates. But as soon as this patch hit, BAM!

For some reason now it seems like every survivor has gone absolutely braindead. I almost always solo que, but in my almost 1000+ hours of playing this game I have never hit this large of a streak of horrible teammates till this patch. Like is the moon doing something to you all or what? Is anyone else having this issue?

Its bold of you to assume they have braincells before the patch

  • I dont think its a health state. When you get injured you stop Breaking a totem a totem for example.

But when you get infected you still can break the totem without losing the progress.

So yeah its not a health state but gives survivors a speed boost.

  • Bubba or pyramide head, probaly now trying to main nemesis .

  • None need a nerf. Small tweaks for spirit but after that no one.

And no the devs arent going to add more pallets into the game to make survivor more easier.

A good survivor would know where dead zones are and are not going to walk there. But looking at all your post you arent a good survivor😉

  • @HATCH said:

İt also can breake pallets a lot faster, can mutate and has a longer range and it slows him down Just a Lil bit you can still loop your tentacle out and still catch UP The survivors

Before hé can do that hé needs to get a lot of mutations.

Survivor have 3 health bars with nemesis tentacle strike. Nemesis is a very slow killer that can snow Ball very hard when hé gets his tiers. But that's where his problem Goes and that is his slow power.

It's because on console you need to reinstall large portions of the game. I think it's to prevent files from getting corrupted.

Have this on pc too on steam.

After the 121 mb it redownloads a portion of the game too but delete it after the update.

It just wastes time for me

    My answer is no.

I had a game where my three other teammates just traded hooks in the basement against a demo. I knew better then to go over there, I even healed one of them up who managed to get away. but she went right back to it.

I got one gen done and had to look for the hatch well the killer found it first and closed it, That activated NOED and I was down in one hit and hooked.

For being the only person who played the game smart it stung pretty badly when that happened.

My answer is yes adrenaline also works that way.

  • @van9684 said:

That way everyone can participate and get a chance to enjoy the game? Right now I know most matches are killers getting 4K games, especially outside red ranks. How can devs balance the game more for casual players (those with jobs and families), while still making the hand fun for all? 2 kills and 2 escapes was what the devs stated was their goal but I’m not seeing that in games current state. Any fun ideas?

No. Killers have a high killrate because there are a lot of baby survivors that ragequit after 1 hook.

The devs said that you should not use their datas to prove a point. Like if you look at the kill rate you can conclude nurse need to be buffed and pig to be nerfed.

But i assume you an insanely bias survivor player dont want a buff to nurse 😏

  • @van9684 said:

A 4K for the killer across ranks? The stats show the majority of games are in favor of the killer, and that over 70% are 4k rounds. How can people say the game is at all survivor biased when the data shows otherwise?

Ah another useless post of the most survivor biased forum user. Even more then the lord sluzzy.

    Just git gud noob survivor.

  • Map: haddonfield.

Killer or survivor: claudette and ghostface.

    Perk: spine chill.

    Mechanic: bodyblocking

Proper matchmaking, If matchmaking works correctly, They should get voice actors for the survivors, And by that i mean the survivors should Talk, Like Pressing a button would make a communication wheel pop up where you can stay stuff like "Heal me" or "Generator over there" And Killers might say "THIS IS OP1!!1!1 PLZ NERF" but the comms are proxy based, The further you are from the survivor, The less you can hear them talking, Both as killer & survivor.

I like the idea of proxy comms that survivors and Killers can hear at a distance. Its like friday the 13th the game.

But can we trust behaviour doing a good job or will sound be bugged out again?😂

  • @thrawn3054 said:

The frame drops have made killer extremely frustrating to play. It's been an exercise in misery trying to slog through this.

Correction to your title: this patch made DBD unfun.

These performance issues is for Both sides so hopefully it Will be fixed soon.

  • Its funny that baby survivor mains are crying about spirit having no counterplay, but when something from their side has no counterplay it is fine 🤔.

  • @TheMadCat said:

I wasn't around when Bubba was changed. I didn't even know he was changed.

How he was before? What changed? I've always heard about Billy, never about Bubba.

Bubba was insanely bad as a killer. You needed to breathing in the survivors back to get a down. His power was only usefull at camping.

Hé deserved to be buffed and is finaly at a good spot.

  • @NAERUUU said:

People gonna say : but spirit was nerf at the 3.4.2 update so what's the problem ?

We have many problem with this killer, like :

    • stridor is too strong
    • low addons rarity but really effective ( speed / duration )
    • too low cooldown ( 10 secs )
    • no signal when she activate his power

    That's all for me btw

Really, do one of these changes please

Its still a power of the killer, if survivors could play around the power easily it wouldnt be a power of the killer.

Just make stidor not work when spirit is in her power and that's it.

  • @ill_Boston_lli said:

All the killer has to do is sit at the top of the stairs and he gets a kill. It takes nothing for a killer to do this and I feel like its the killers equivalent to hatch. I think this shouldn't even be part of the game and I am a killer main. I stream where the killer just sat there to get a kill and its like how is this even fun for you. This shows nothing when it comes to skill.

I am fine deleting the basement if we delete the hatch too

  • For me oni and cannibal Both 875.

Pretty funny that i really like to play Both of Them so this quiz is really accurate.

  • @DwightFairfield said:

This one goes out to you Trickster and Twins mains who don't want to put in the time to learn any mechanical skill.

Playing a bad killer does not excuse rampant camping and tunneling, saying you had to play that way because the killer is bad is the most worthless excuse I've ever heard.

If you struggle so much with a killer, you can put in the time to get better.

All that will do it force you into a loop where you can never win doing anything else because its engraved into your muscle memory.

Just because you lose that doesnt mean the killer camped or tunneled.

I'm infuriated. Just had a 35 minutes match with Huntress that should have ended on the first 5 minutes. The survivors were awful, none of them could stay alive for 5 seconds, most of them got hooked several times, they wouldn't heal and they didn't do a single gen. They even refused to unhook each other until last minute or would let people die on hook for no reason at all since i wasn't even nearby.

But they used a hatch offering in the main building. So what happens, I kill 2 guys, I hook the 3rd guy, find the 4th and hook him in the main building where the hatch is. 3rd guy Kobes, 4th guy dies, hatch spawns. Ok, I stand on top of the hatch since the guy who kobed is on the other side of the map (that asarov's map that's super long) camping the door right next to him, which I can't get there fast.

Game goes on for 30 minutes, the dude refuses to leave that door and I get bored, so I closed it. I walk towards that door, as a 110% speed killer, boom, door already open and I get t-bagged by a guy who couldn't do a single gen.

I have to spend hours upon hours to "git gud", specially as huntress, the hatchets I hit in that match were amazing. And what do I get as reward? A 35 minutes match and a loss. And it's not the first time this kind of thing happens to me. I should have just went to watch a movie since the dude had 5 gens to do by himself and no intention of doing them.

This game sucks. Worst part his entire team was watching him and started to trash talk him in the end game chat since the dude did nothing but let everyone die the whole game. Yet what happens? He won.

Very cool BHVR, no wonder your killer queues are so long, have fun with your new flash grenades, autoban system and "moris are toxic so we'll remove them".

If this was about a random survivor getting a pink key from a chest and that's why you have losed then I would understand the hate on RNG.

But this turn of events is entirely your fault for not closing the Hatch

  • @CluelessWanderer said:

Someone remind me. I'm having a hard time remembering why I liked this game to begin with.

Played Killer a lot today- I play Spirit and Plague, but I'm not great at it yet. I'm not the best at first person. Also, I find there is a mobility discrepency between PC and console (I'm on console). I have problems hitting PC survivors because they seem to be able to spin all over the place. And when I'm matched, even though I'm just Rank 13, I always get an SWF group with a HaddonHell offering, where two of the group are red ranks, one is green, and one is yellow. I admit I have a difficult time with Lampkin Lane because even though I'm apparently a Spirit, I get caught on the slightest rock or bush.

Then of course, I hear the *click click click* of a flashlight, the Rank 2 wanting me to follow them on an endless loop. It's BS.

So I switch to survivor, where I'm red ranks, and it's nothing but Camp/tunnel. Camp/tunnel. Camp/Tunnel.

In all of this I feel Solo survivors get shafted the most in this game, yet at the same time, are the backbone of it. Even at my Rank as Killer (low lol), there is a HUGE difference between facing Solo survivors and a SWF. With Solo, sometimes you almost feel sorry for them (especially on Spirit). SWF? You get that one Steve running OoO, the flashlight looper, and usually the filler material who does gens and is easy to take out first. You know the one; the Rank 14 that the red and purple ranks use to ensure a lower Rank Killer.

But if it weren't for the Solos, I would NEVER play Killer. Because it's too demoralizing to learn against SWF's. But when I play Solo survivor, it feels like a losing battle almost from the start sometimes. It's such a gamble when it comes to the team mates, and I often find I'm trying to survive them almost as much as the Killer.

Even today I had a match where a Rank 1 Dwight literally showed the Killer I was in the locker. Why was I in the locker? Because I had just saved a Meg from the basement, I got hit, and I run inner Strength (Locker heal). So this jackass opens and closes the locker while I'm in it repeatedly, blocking me from getting out, as if I'm hiding for no reason. Then he proceeds to ignore unhooks all game and gets the hatch.

WHY DO WE PLAY AGAIN? Just tell me why you like this. I need to hear it lol.

    We like to hate ourself.

  • @Friendly_Blendette said:

Imo survivors should share aura reading perks, see eachothers perks and addons etc, have the glass bead basekit, have an in game voice/text chat and a map wide bond. Before you say its OP it is still less than what a SWF is capable of. After this just give survivors another gen or some ######### I havent figured out that part. You could just go killer by killer and buffing them all to blight level.

If you give an insane buff to one side the other side need to be buffed as well. Unless there Will be a big survivor meta that Will make a lot of killers quit the game till those killer buffs come.

You will be suprised how balanced this game actually is, so big changes has also a way too big of An impact.

  • If you can do something valuable in those 60 seconds you are not being tunneled.

  • @aknitus said:

DS nerf was NOT AT ALL needed. It was survivors' only ticket to survival against tunneling and consecutive hooking with 60 seconds. And now it is gone if you repair, cleanse, heal, etc. Now more killers will enjoy tunneling, calling themselves pro killers and add to the toxicity.

How about the Devs do something meaningful for a change and resolve the tunneling and camping issue? Do you think low rank players enjoy getting tunneled and camped?

Also what next? Gen repair nerf or surv sprint speed nerf? Killers need to up their gameplay and strat, not have everything spoonfed by the game. And I say this as a killer myself. It disgusts me to see killers come crying here requesting for surv nerfs.

Or maybe survivor need to get better?

If you rely on a perk to carry you, you are Just bad. Same was when ruin got nerfed and undying and soms goes for ds.

Stop blaiming "tunneling" you die Just git gud.

If you die thanks to REAL tunnel then new DS shouldnt affect you

  • @Yords said:

*Controversial thread warning, comment at your own risk.

This post is not meant to shame anyone btw, not calling anyone out specifically.

So far, I have seen people say things like "DS is useless now and doesn't work against tunneling" which is just plain wrong. Others have said

Let me just remind everyone what tunneling in DBD is. Tunneling is when a killer continues to go after the same survivor rather than switching off to someone else. It seems people are making up very situational moments where they are technically being tunneled but they don't have DS which shouldn't really matter. For example, "What happens if I decide to heal someone but then the killer tricked me into doing that and then tunneled me around a corner?"...

It is definitely still useful, especially in the endgame.

The DS nerf was very justified, the perk was too strong for its own good, and it got value from not even being there as long as there was an obsession.

Its like the time ruin got changed. When this happened a lot of survivor mains were making posts saying Killers are noobs that relied on that perk.

Oh how the tables have turned.

  • "Before your ranting players come here and comment"

Pretty sure your whole post is a rant buddy.

  • @VikingWilson said:

We have only look to their track record of PTB and release to know this.

BHVR is in dire need of new management.

I mean they listen but they never give the community the changes the community want.

The community ussually dat this or that killer is weak of strong and tell what needs to be changed.

The devs only listen to the weak of strong part but they ussualy choose their own direction with the changes.

  • Hmm weird when I look at the new perk it says anti tunnel to me. And also a perk that requires braincells then pre nerf DS that 70% of the time also hit Killers that dont tunnel.

  • A worse version of dead hard for Killers.

  • Gen rushing doesnt happen a lot. If it happens it also screws the survivors because the gen rushers wont unhook there teammates and they jus keep sitting on the gens.

Also hard tunneling doesn't happen a lot. When you get tunneled you always need to ask for example: 'is it my teamates fault to go straight for the unhook without bt?"

Also slugging is acceptable for the people that complain about slugging this is the only way for the killer to get real pressure.

  • Its sad to say i can tell on the title that this post is made by the legend sluzzy.

  • @Sluzzy said:

How many counters does a perk need? Since killers didn’t know how to play around the perk it will now have the most ways to disable itself than any other perk in the game.  Pretty much paralyzing the survivor to keep it. As difficult as it is for the survivor to complete objectives this is a huge set back. Most matches there is little hope. Killers have nothing to do but one objective while survivors have to do several and on top of that punished for doing anything where killer perks completely changes the game. Now survivor perks punish for playing the game.

A perk “Nothing to be afraid of” is really the opposite now. More afraid of losing it and needing it when a spirit phases all the way back and tunnel.  Was it forgotten that being a survivor you should try to heal yourself if you are injured? What benefit is it to have good med kits? It should be fair game to try to heal yourself and not worry with losing a perk. Not to mention trying to help your team. Now Bubba will be stronger in the basement because BT does nothing to him, DS you could maybe unhook someone and have a chance for only one to get out. An unnecessary buff where Bubba didn't need it because there is no counterplay to killers like Bubba.

It was nerfed way too much to benefit only killers and make their game easier than it already is with nothing added to it to help survivors. Like the least that could have been done was to stop the timer if someone is being chased or slugged on the ground. I thought 1-time use perks should be powerful, not very weak and catering to the other side so much. Undying was a busted perk and it won the killer the game, yet it still got huge counter buffs when it was nerfed. DS is only a 1-time use perk and it can really only be used by a facecamping killer now and that assumes that they don’t slug.  It is ridiculous decisive strike will be so situational and only useable if killer plays a specific way and can still prevent it from being used by slugging.  Lets be sure killers can abuse it. The decisive strike nerfs were rushed and for only to entertain killers.

My reaction to the title: this must be the dumbest survivor i have ever seen.

    *Looks at the name*

    "So it would seem.."

  • I think shift+W is only a problem on certain maps.

Good example is midwich with OoO.

    SLUGging

Make Unbreakable base, rework unbreakable completely. This isn't unfair, killers shouldn't get rewarded for slugging.

    Camping

This might be really OP and unfair but it's just an idea. Why not make it so where you have a 100% unhook chance if the killer is within 12 meters. This effect will take place after 30 seconds after being hooked.

    Tunnelling

    Borrowed time

So making second chance perks for survivor base kit got it.

How about making ruin, Noed, bloodwarden base kit while we are at it.

The way you described it is pretty vague. Would the person come back with the amount of health and hooks they left off with? Come back on last hook? The game currently has no method of deciding what a reintroduced Survivors health state should be. An average of who is left in the game? Does that factor in sacrifices? Does that factor in how many gens are completed? There's a lot to it that it seems you may have glossed over.

I think hé is talking about when you DC your survivor Will be played as a bot until you come back.

  • I have noticed a lot of the time wraiths camp.

Because i run kindred i see that happening.

Wraiths ussualy spam the bell in front of the unhook survivor.

I dont Cate about proxy camp and tunneling because these are strategies.

Facecamping however is never a strategy in my opinion.

  • One time a streamer called me a camper as well with his swf. But i couldnt even patrol the Gens because all 3 survivors were at the hooked survivor.

Like why should i give your team a free unhook when i get now insane map pressure because your whole team Stays at the hook?

  • @YourNightmare said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2015674#Comment_2015674

Yup, talking about kill rate this way can explain why you can't rely on them BUT those numbers show something is wrong.

In a fair trial where there is no suicide, no tunnel and no camp (at least early game), maybe it is balanced, you got this.

But those numbers show there is something wrong, and that it's so wrong that the kill rate is really high, way too high.

Whatever this is : OP killer, camping/tunneling, too many suicides/DC etc...

It proves one thing for sure : the survivor experience is crap.

Yup solo survivor experience is crap when your teammates suck. This is a lot of the time thanks to this good designed matchmaking.

When you have bad teammates the killer steamrolls over your whole team and gets a 4K. That's why pig for example has a high kill rate but is according to experienced players not that good.

That's why i call pig a noobstomper because of her traps.

  • @Dead_by_David17 said:

I'm probably alone in this (inb4 "hAhA yEaH yoU aRe alOnE in thiS") but Pyramid head should not be able to just mori someone with little to know effort. In fact, it should be punishing (get it?) for him not making use of the Cages whatsoever, which most Pyramid heads do. What's the point of playing a particular killer if you aren't going to utilize their ability?

So, here's a suggestion for a nerf. Make it so that he has to have caged someone at least once (or twice if you wanna go that far) in order to use 'Final Judgement' on them.

    I think that's reasonable

So you say ph needs to be PUNISHED for using his POWER.

I dont think you know what a power is.

  • Kill rates are high because:

    - suicidal survivors.

    -Noobstompers like bubba and pig.

    - hardcore facecamp and tunnel.

That's why kill rate stats dont prove anything.

Hookrates can only show the balance because having a 4k with only 4 hooks isnt a win because you are not going to Pip with that.

  • Ah yes another discussion that shows why the devs should never release stats again.

Because what do kills stats say?

People getting facecamped? Because then of course the min. is 2 kills.

Killer gets 8 hooks but didn't killed anyone? Well he lost according to these stats

These stats dont say anything about balance. The only statistics that maybe can show balance are hook stats.

Like why do you think bubba and pig have fairly high killrate? Because they are noobstompers.

But hey these stats only give survivor something to complain about on the forums.

  • Yeah thats why i am happy that DS got nerfed.

The new DS only activates when the survivor really got tunneled.

  • @YourNightmare said:

Almost everytime i face those killers in soloQ there is a survivor that DC or that suicide.

For any other killers, it's ok, survivor almost never DC/Suicide.

There is clearly a problem with those killers, the survivor community hate the gameplay against them so why developers don't do anything about it ?

I mean, 90% of the time survivors kill themselves against them... what is the point to add ban time or anything ? Fix their kits and balance them...

Or survivors shouldnt be cry baby's?

  • @dnj510 said:

Depending on how your trial went, ever want to stop and ask that question to the survivor or killer?

Wouldn't be the answer to that be obvious?

    You! You Hurt me!

  • @rglarson13 said:

Survivors love to hate NOED, and call it a reward for losing. But in the same breath, they say that DS needs to exist to punish killers for tunneling.

That same logic applies to NOED.

It's there so the killer can punish survivors for bad behavior. If they would just spread out their attention across both generators and totems, instead of tunneling the generators out of the game, they wouldn't ever encounter NOED as a problem.

But it's the killer's job to pressure survivors to make them leave generators, you say. Well, it's the survivor's job to avoid getting hooked. A good way to do that is to be someplace other than at the generator when the killer comes by to check; what better place than cleansing a totem?

But tunneling is no fun for the survivor who is killed, you say. Well, having gens tunneled out of the game denies the killer the 12-hook game everyone seems to think is the proper way for a killer to play; that's no fun for the killer.

But NOED just rewards killers for bad play, because it only procs when they're losing, you say. Except if a survivor played better they wouldn't ever have a chance to use DS -- it's a reward for losing.

But generators are a survivors's objective, you say. Well, hooks are the killer's objective.

But you can't be sure that all the other survivors cleansed totems, and it wastes too much time walking around looking for totems, you say. Well, it wastes a lot of time walking around to multiple generators to check if a survivor is there, and a killer doesn't have teammates to rely on to do their job for them.

Really it just boils down to the fact that survivors hate NOED because they were close to success, but then this irritating perk procs and undoes the results of your hard work, leaving you feeling like you just had the carpet yanked out from under you. Which is exactly what DS does to killers.

I think NOED exists to make endgame builds viable.

Because NOED gives endgame builds the snowball potantional it needs.

Otherwise it would Just make the time longer before survivor can escapes (for example remember me or bloodwarden or even that new killer perk).
