  • And we can say the same abput survivor with DS, BT, power struggle, head on and other perk i forgot so we can say the same about survivor. You dont need any of those perk equip you can be sure a good killer will play around them

Eh I wouldn't say those are the same. Dead hard you get one use at and you have to time it right. Borrowed time is mostly only useful against campers or tunnelers.

Dead hard reward mistake and for a perk that work only 1 time i can see the same survivor using it at least 3 time per trial and i can do the same with it and BT reward unsafe unhook because they because automatically safe even if you unhook while you get chase.

Compare to NoeD those perk are worse but people like to complain about NoeD because they dont like doing a side objective in totem and they dont want to use a spot in their loadout for a totem perk or item so they continu to complain about NoeD in the hope the dev destroy it

Okay, there are 4 perks directly related to finding totems, and then the map item but again the point has been missed the perk should exist it rewards the killer for playing poorly.

If you want talk about perk that reward a player for playing poorly have you check at DH and BT for example both of those perk reward bad play from the survivor.

Just use a map or a perk to counter noed if you hate the perk that much you may say the perk reward bad play from the killer but i can say the perk reward the killer for the miss play of the survivor because they refuse to do totem and focus all their energy on gen. If like you say the killer have 2 hook and noed pop on 1 survivor you can still have 3 escape or try finding the lit totem for a 4 man escape

  • I wrlcome the removal of map offering i think it should always be rng. Some killer will get hit hard if they do that i mean only one lol no map offering mean no scratch mirror myers

  • Maybe netflix realise their image was getting tainted because of the game and they wanted out we dont know anything they did not give a reason

Nope, you don't have to learn Nurse or Spirit for high mmr. Each killer you own has its own mmr. Your Trapper has a different mmr than your Nurse.

It is not like now that your account is in red ranks and that's it.

If you never played Nurse, your Nurse will have a very low mmr. If you practice your Nurse and get better, the mmr of your Nurse will go up. But this will not influence the mmr on your Trapper - just a little bit because there is a base mmr for all your killers. Actually, if you get better at Nurse it will propably raise your Trapper mmr a tiny little bit because your average mmr will go up.

I was maining Nemesis i played him non stop from the release date to now and most of my match during the mmr the survivor use 1 of those 2, map offering (haddonfield and red forest) or key with hatch offering.

I lost the majority of my game and i dont feel like my mmr drop at all. That why i say my experience as killer was awful it may be because i play after midnight and we have less killer during that period.

At the end i realise the way mmr is for killer i need to learn a better killer sadly i dont like playing nurse, spirit and blight.

  • I will miss solo but i wont miss those killer match they were awful and i realise i really need to learn spirit or nurse for when the mmr is back

  • Now if they can just remove the RPD, Haddonfield, ormond map this could be a good start. After that if they cam remove the swamp and the red forest realm this will be ideal

My experience of teammates has definitely been better with MMR for the most part. I’ve had teams that seem to understand the game well so that’s been much less frustrating.

That said it does feel like a team of solos against a strong, experienced killer with a full slowdown build is still at a noticeable disadvantage because there’s so much you can’t communicate or coordinate. I think my experience with MMR has made me change my mind about the difference comms actually make; I used to think the poor matchmaking was the main reason solos have it harder and that comms weren’t that big of a deal, but I’ve changed my mind a bit (at least for games with MMR matchmaking rather than the old system).

Most of the solo i got start running before the killer get to them. So whatever the killer it was they rarely get a kill cause of that.

  • I have a lot of complain about mmr but the solo experience with mmr is awesome. Im kinda tired to see 2 or 3 kindred per loadout but the game a far better compare to before. So for solo when they put mmr for real i hope they keep the same system for the swf and killer they need a change

Oh yeah, I remember those games- Tru3 really struggled, but I think it also kinda just goes to show how big the divide is between Comp/Tournament DBD and pubs.

Still tho, I guess I would have still expected Wraith to *at least* get a hook or something in 4 gens worth since Hawkins has such a high kill rate, but for all I know it could have also just been MMR being wacky, as he definitely didn't look like he had the build for versing a hyper-efficient team- though, I'm not sure how much that would have actually helped him in the game either.

Hakins have a high kill rate because survivor focus the wrong gen first. Wraith is easy to spot in hawkin too its full of corridor you can see the shimmer of the killer if he is inside 24 meter and you just need to look 1 corridor sometime 3. The pallet may be unsafe but if you run away when you drop it and use that pallet and the room next to it you can loop the killer for a long time if he dont break it so its only unsafe if you just stay in front of it and try to juke the killer when he go on your side. Bonus if you stun the killer you just end the chase no way the killer can get to you if you can control your scratchmark.

Personally I'm glad I don't like RE much because I would feel so ashamed of the DLC. F tier killer and map. Just unfun all around. I'm curious if it pleased the RE fans though.

Yes and no, yes because leon, jill and christ look really good. Nemesis look good too and the new map is almost the same as the rpd map in the RE game.

No because claire look like shes got bitten by a zombie and shes about to die her face dont look good at all. Nemesis should be stronger i feel like when you use him its like playing on the easy mode in RE3 and its kinda a joke how easy he is to beat.

I think the next mid chapter patch will be huge for the nemesis player he should get buff that what i expect and i hope he will compete for a spot in the A tier instead of being a mid B tier to high C tier

  • @Huge_Bush said:

Just curious. Not saying that it is a "win", but if the match was fun, you had good chases and made lots of points, and two survivors escaped, would you be satisfied?

I used to think that I had to get a 4k when I played killer, mainly because of the toxic endgame chat where the survivors constantly berated me, but when I think about it, when I have 25K blood points and two kills, I'm usually happy. It only becomes frustrating when they're toxic as hell, then I want them all on hooks by any means possible.

If the match was fun and i get a 2k im not satisfied i need at least a 3k

Survivors use map offering for the same reason killers do: To gain an advantage (or they just like the map). I don't quit the game just because a map offering is used. It's silly.

Killer dont use map offering unless its a jump scare myers.

  • If they put mmr i do think this will push away some killer so eventually they need to put some bot in the game

  • @adam1233467 said:

It's literally the most childishness thing in this game, for example, someone forces a RPD badge to play on the new map, because he likes the visual and actually like the isthetics on it, but, the killer close the game before loading to not play on the chosen map

Had a day, that I wanted to play on Lery's while playing survivor, because, I don't know xD, and the killer simply ALT+F4 and don't even try to play, why map offerings exists while the killer or a survivor don't like that map that was chosen

I think dc penalties should work even the player quits the game while loading

Honestly why do you bring map offering i know you said the reason and all but honestly survivor dont need a map offering to get the advantage.

Even if they put a DC penality for the player who alt+f4 the killer will just go afk in a corner so in a way its better for you to go back in queue like that you dont lose your offering and addon

  • Its fine those are thing they dont say and need to discover by yourself.

So i noticed anytime you use an exposed Perk Hysteria doesn't work although Hysterias description is

Whenever you put a healthy Survivor into the Injured State , all injured Survivors suffer from the Oblivious Status Effect for 20/25/30 seconds. Hysteria has a cool-down of 30 seconds.

So something here doesn't make sense because when i downed a survivor even when the other survivors were injured it never went into cooldown but I'm not sure if it is working or not with Exposed is this a bug or intended?

If this is Intended could the description perhaps be updated in the future to make it clear.

When you down a survivor with an expose perk they dont pass the injured state they go directly in the dying state so historia dont activate for that reason.

Should i buy Freddy?? Is he a good killer to play with ?

The killer is fun its a basic M1 killer with a tp every minute. Honestly i prefer the old version of him i found it more fun and unique. I dont kniw if you have played demo but he is a lot like demo just change the shred for a slow if the other is asleep.

The best thing about freddy is when you have the perk you want you dont need to invest BP in him anymore he have no decent addon exept one but that addon is only good if survivor are asleep if not the addon dont work

  • @GrimoireWeiss said:

I honestly think the lobby should only last like 15 seconds for you to see the names of people you're going against (including the killer), but neither items nor survivors.

If people who don't like competitive play would play casually instead, that wouldn't be an issue.

If you can't handle the heat, stay out of the kitchen, as they say.

The people who stay out will play less and if those player were pick for the high mmr match they wont be there so now the issue will be the game have less killer for the demand so for faster matchmaking they will go pick in the medium mmr match now those player will get destroy if they dont have fun they are more likely to quit and like that the game could eventually die. This is a possible scenario specially with balance we have now and i cant trust the dev to react fast enough to fix the issue

  • Nothing im more focus on the mistake i made during the game to make sure i dont repeat them

  • MMR is not worth for killer the more you mmr is high the more you will get haddonfield offering bnp, key etc... in your game.

So I was just in a game against a demogorgon, and had a 3men swf in my team (it was obvious because of the name).

Killer tunneled me all game, and let the swf do gens meanwhile, and even gave them the escape.

When I asked the killer why he tunneled me, he said because solo q is easier to tunnel and that they wanted to win (yet he let the others go).

Not only this, but I had these 3 swf team mates insult me in end game chat along with the killer.

Has anyone else had this kind of experience? What is the point of targeting someone just because they're playing solo?

Honestly focus your effort on the solo is a good call. But letting the 3 man escaoe whitout trying to kill them is new to me and i played a lot of hour

But thats exactly how the system is supposed to work. Matching you against newer players, when you play a killer you have no experience with.

While matching you against players of your skill level, when you play with your main. You could use the time to learn a new killer or play with your main and let the system adapt. Once you get a couple of loses, it will match you against "weaker" survivors.

I agree for solo and for killer but not my main i should not get stomp like that i have 2 win and that because of NoeD and blood warden because i realise pop and ruin are worthless if they split up.

Im not joking in 20 game i thing i played haddonfield a total of 7 time and red forest 5 or 6 time the game are a pain and they last 5 minute if the survivor dont 99 the last 3 gen because they want to bully the killer a bit more.

Did I say it was taking the game hostage? There’s no reason not to implement a way to die on the ground though, as long as it’s not instant.

For the same reason killer cant just forfeit when they know the game is over

  • Stridor is worthless now because a survivor perk should be stronger compare to a killer perk and they did just that

The SBMMR test has been live for what... 26 maybe 27 hours and you already quit?

Damn, am i really the only one who is enjoying this?

If you play solo survivor the sbmm is awesome but the second you play killer its really not you get stomp and map offering are the norm anyway this is how my game goes on my main. If i choose a killer im bad with i got really bad survivor and i stomp them its not even close. Honestly i will give it a bit more time probably 2 or 3 more hour but if my killer experience dont improve i drop killer for survivor and wait until the text is over before i play killer again.

I’ve seen a lot of comments for a while saying how certain killers on console must be horrible to play. I main Oni on console, and have recently been playing a lot of nurse. Both have been easy to control with some practice, but I’m not sure about killers like Blight or Huntress. I know using a controller has less effect than a keyboard, but it doesn’t seem too limiting. Thoughts?

I play console for 2 year before i make the swich to pc so this is my experience i had.

For survivor its the same honestly and i find it easier to play with a controller.

For killer its depend with a controller you can get 360 more often because your rotation is slower and the auto aim can ######### you over more often. Some killer dont care if its a controller or a mouse because their power require less precision example spirit, wraith, freddy. Other killer can make the mouse feel like its the better option and make a controller look like ######### like all the range killer other killer are nurse because like i said you can look around you faster with a mouse so hit a survivor who try to double back.

not in the slightest. As previously explained in this thread ranks are hidden purely to get feedback on what's actually happening in a match.

Rightly or wrongly people perceive ranks as an indication of skill in DbD, but it's really a very minor thing - Rank is mostly to do with time invested which doesn't correlate with skill. So in order to get feedback and not have "SBMM doesn't work because my match was full of rainbow ranks", the ranks have been hidden for the test.

I can understand why you hide rank during the test but i cant understand why you would hide the sbmm number from the player. Exemple if my sbmm score is 400 and i play against survivor who their sbmm score is 800 and they destroy me how im suppose to give feedback for that i could think i just got a bad game and never know i got an unfair match to begin with. If you can answer that this could be great but i dont think you can sadly

  • I dont understand why they do it if i get this map as a survivor the first thing i tell myself this will be an easy game

  • @Tsulan said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2421663#Comment_2421663

Just compare the amount of matches where you gave the hatch to the last survivor. To the amount of matches, where you performed bad, all were about to escape and a survivor offered himself to be sacrificed.

This never happen lol they wait at the edge so the can t bag and if they get down they drop outside lol.

I stop giving hatch cause of that the only time i will give is if someone have a name related to the dark soul lore

  • @GoshJosh said:

Yes, it is. Does that mean the survivor should enjoy earning 2k after burning a Sacrificial Cake, just because they were found and targeted first?

Also, have you played survivor even once that you need to ask that as a question?

Most of the survivor say that the thing they like the most is the interaction with the killer. Tunneling make sure you have that interaction all match so why ahould a survivor get mad for that

  • @alejandraaa_8 said:

I honestly think we should go back to the 24 hours in the shrine, it was better, and we didnt have to wait a week just to get a whole new cycle, with the 24 hour i could grind out get what i wanted and do the same thing the next day, idk i found it more useful, just me?

The 24h shrine was better but bhvr will lose too much money if they keep it. Example Myers is not that strong but he got good perk in pwyf and stbfl so a player not interest in his gameplay could just wait for his perk to pop in the shrine and get them then that mean for every player who do that its a lost for the compagnie but by making the shrine a 7 day rotation the player could lose patience and buy the killer or chapter like that the compagnie do some profit and you have what you want.

  • I dont want mmr you should not have to sweat every game with your main killer. That mean no more memes build too and relaxed game unless you want to get destroy.

On another note bhrv wont show our mmr rating so they can say whatever they want the player will never know if they improve or not

  • @Grandpa_Crack_Pipe said:

The problem is that S rank killers are S rank specifically because they completely ignore the defenses of the Survivor. Played properly, there's literally nothing you can do against them.

So your skills at the most fun part of the game are totally irrelevant.

And gen are so fast that those killer need to tunnel and slug to be able to have a chance on the highest level. Damn those killer are overpower

  • Close to no map are good for the killer. I should have the choice to bring a sacrificial ward every match instead of the 50 useless mori i have

  • Maybe that why i had a lot of haddonfield and red forest offering i play against survivor who know they have the advantage in those map. Look like im not playing until the test is gone

  • A lot of game have a better hit validation then that. I think this is the dev taking the easy route instand of improving the coding/server or whatever is causing that. That kind of thing happen in the early stage or league of legend in the first 2 or 3 season and they rework the entire code to make sure it does not happen anymore and they bought better server. We can say whatever we want about that game but the dev actually give a ######### aboht it and it show in the quality of the new champ and when something is broken they remove it and fix it asap and before to put it back on live they test it on the pbe because for them the pbe is not a marketing tool

Just read the thread about worst chapters.

I like anime, but I wouldn't mix it with dbd.

If it’s balanced why does Otz recommend it as the best map for most killers to do adept on?

I can only speculate i did not watch the video but probably because the map is small enough for the killer and survivor to interact with each other. That mean if the killer is the better player he will down the survivor and be able to go to a working gen and interupt the survivor progress and they wont finish it in the killer face. I seriously believe that map reward the better player

Any good windows on the map make up for the fact that the pallets are absolute trash.

I think the map is pretty balence honestly you have a strong building that if the killer chase you there this can be a game winning chase if you are good enough. A lot of loop were the survivor and killer need to mind game each other. A lot of bush for the survivor who like to hide and the map is small enough for the killer to be able to interact with the survivor almost at any moment.
