I hate this so much. EVERY SINGLE TIME. If I'm hooked I finally get to see what everyone else was doing while I was doing gens. Someone is in the basement (not even looting the chest) just in the basement for no reason, someone is urban evasion-ing around the outskirts of the map, or they can't even be seen because they are STILL in the FREAKING locker even though BBQ expired ages ago...
I sometimes run bond and it legit makes me depressed to see my teammates doing nothing while I'm getting chased for ages.

Thanks, I currently play on Console and its horrible so I wanna get a PC soon.. so what about a i7-4790 and a RX 470 8GB?
I think you can easily play on ultra settings at 60fps on that pc.
-
Hitboxes can always screw you over but here are some tips:
Never vault a window or drop a pallet when she is about to throw a hatchet. You shouldn't even drop a pallet or vault when she is close since she will probably throw a hatchet so its best to fake it.
Always try to go behind a wall when you are in a chase with her
If she is going to throw a hatchet over a short obstacle you can crouch to avoid it
You can fake going one one way and then immediately turn the other way when she is about to throw to make her miss.
If she is really really close to you, just spin around randomly and keep changing directions to make her miss.
-
My old pc had an gtx 760 with i5 4690 and it never dropped below 60fps on low. Can't tell what the exact specs would be though.
-
Swamp maps literally give me depression
-
I'd use PGTW combined with one of them

Even though you have good ping doesn't mean the killer does. With dedicated servers you are unable to know if the killer is near the datacenter or in another country. Your position data is transferred to the server and then transferred to the killers PC. You could be 300 ms behind on the killers screen.
It doesn't make sense though since I shouldn't be punished when the killer has bad ping. In other games, this is usually true. The side with the bad ping gets punished for it. Hope the devs will work on hit detection a lot more because this game really gets unbearable at times.

Not quite sure. Think it should be around 40-60 or so.
Do you play on PC or console? And when do you usually get these bullshit hits? At windows and pallets or rather in the open?
PC. It happens everywhere, mostly on windows and pallets though.

I play a lot of survivor too and I don't really ever have a problem with the hitboxes. Sure there are some rare occasions where hitboxes seem really bad, but that's probably due to connection. But generally I do not have any of these problems. Especially not with Nurse and Freddy.
Huntress hitboxes can feel a bit ridiculous at times, but the community manager Peanits made a post on one thread once where he/she explained why this is the case and that it's an necessary evil, otherwise survivors would get stuck on objects much more frequently if their hitbox was made more accurate towards their model.
What is your ping with dedicated servers? Mine usually hovers around 70-90 and I still get stupid hits every single match. It legit makes me want to stop playing survivor at times. I'm so tired of constantly getting outgamed rather than outplayed.
-
Like 80% of nurse's attacks don't look like they hit you. Freddy is really close though.
-
STBFL is already a good perk. I don't care about unrelenting anyway since I don't really miss many attacks.
-
Honestly, I'm fine with the new pallets but bloodlust ruins everything.
Bloodlust has to be removed after all maps are fixed. It has absolutely no place in bedham and hawkins maps.
-
Solo survivor was always annoying but this is honestly the new low. I started playing a lot more killer now because I can't stand solo survivor anymore.
-
Omega blink ebony mori noed nurse
-
In solo, probably killer but in swf it's definitely survivors. There's no option for this so, no vote from me
-
I think this is already an upcoming change in the next update

I've personally had a lot of trouble playing as her when I first got her to the point where I just gave up trying. Only recently when I started giving her another chance that I began being good at playing her. And it didn't come without obstacles. Though I guess that is just my personal experience.
And like I said in my post, she heavily relies on survivors making noise and sound for her power to be effective. Without it she will just randomly guess where you're at and most likely waste her Phase Walk. And correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Iron Will remove any noise and grunts a survivor makes when exhausted or injured? Also Spine Chill is good for any killer in general, it works even when she is phase walking with beads, so you'll have an indication for when she's coming/looking straight at your direction.
Although, I agree she can be unfun to play against if the Spirit player is really really good. Though that doesn't mean she needs to be nerfed outright, that just means the player is doing a good work maximizing her potential as a killer.
And one more thing, she isn't completely guesswork for the survivor either. She also gives information. When she is phasing without beads, you hear her phase walk rushing through the fields. She also moves around corn and grass, though I am not confident about this and I may be wrong. She also has a glint from what I've read in the forums that gives away that she is phase walking. Though I haven't played Survivor and met a Spirit in a while so I can't test it out and prove it myself.
I started getting almost consistent 4ks after a few matches. Just use headphones and listen for their injured noises. Don't see much skill there.
Iron will can be completely useless if she has stridor (which most spirits use). Also the general idea of "use x perk to counter something" is dumb. I'm not going to run anti spirit perks just in case I play against her.
She doesn't move the grass or corn while she is phasing. Her shards glow when she is phasing but the effect is very subtle and i'm not even sure it's intentional.

I've whined many times about this in the past but I just got a game of this again showing one of my biggest beefs with how BHVR has utterly destroyed the atmosphere and mood of this game. I took a screenshot for posterity.
This is what Suffocation Pit's Coal Mine looks like now. The mine! A dark corner of the map on the darkest map in the darkest territory of the entire game (MacMillan Estate). And it's lit like a birthday party!
Bravo BHVR, bravo.
Are you playing on low settings? I'm pretty sure it doesn't look like that on other settings.
-
Never, because she isn't problematic, unlike spirit :)

Because not only is it an attention seeker and they’re the most noticeable they’re the most likely to BM or the most likely to be good at looping. They all deserve it. And I will never stop my rampage of making all of them have a bad time. Until they switch their cosmetic.
You are basically looking for reasons to justify your camping.

Why? How are they asking for it by using a cosmetic they like?

What more can they do to buff solo players without making killer impossible? How much free info do survivors need? I solo queue and hit red rank on both sides consistently and idk how you buff solo survivors without making it even easier to bully killers and escape.
As currently designed, the game doesn’t work with SWF. Chases can last way too long, gens go too fast. The answer can’t be to buff solos to match SWF, killers would stand no chance. And you can’t buff killers to match SWF, then solos really would be screwed. You have to nerf SWF to be more manageable or at bare minimum, incentivize solo/killer play.
I don’t think there’s a balance problem with solos. There’s just doodoo solo survivors.
@Williamz said:
4 man SWF will full meta perks and items straight up make it unplayable and it's frequently happening more. There needs be a big nerf to SWF.
Buffing solo is completely the WRONG decision.
Forgot to write this, I want solos buffed and all killers buffed accordingly. Just buffing solos is obviously not a good idea

I would give trapper all of his traps at the beginning, or at least make him be able to carry 3 traps by default.
I would make windstorm base kit for wraith.
Hag is already at least B tier in my opinion.
I don't know if these would make them B tier but these are the only ones I can think of.

@darktrix said:
Killers don't want solos to be brought up to swf levels, they want swf to be brought down to solo levels.
I don't see any way for them to do that. The best way is to buff solos to swf levels and then buff the killers accordingly imo. They also already said in a developer update that they were looking into doing this.

I never dc until something makes me really mad like in last 3 months I dced like max 3-4 times but if I see a 4 man swf and they especially burnt a map offering of a broken af map im not going to play that unless im a top tier killer theres no double standards in it
You can always dodge swf's if you don't want to play against them.
-
I think you disabled anti aliasing from the ini files since they now force it even on low settings.

I used it on purpose why I shouldnt when I see a 4man swf with 4 medkits easy to assume they are instas
You fought broken with broken so... You could have won that.
-
You shouldn't really complain while using 3 blink nurse.
-
I mean as a survivor, I agree that those days were super fun but you also have to think about killers as well.
Insta heals are still good after the nerfs. BNP changes were necessary (even though they are kind of trash right now).
One thing that I sort of agree is that flashlight saves are very hard to pull off now, you have to be in the perfect position and you have to time it perfectly. They were the most fun items to use and they can be useless against any decent killer now, that's kind of sad. But again, the insta flashlights were bs and I'm glad they are removed.
Devs also really need to punish camping/tunneling more without survivors needing to run DS or BT (which is also now useless against certain killers). I hate that I have to run ds every single match to have a chance against campers.
-
I can also go against a super bad spirit and say she is super ez to go against my friend.
-
Killers are a lot more vocal, in here at least.
Mom and DS nerfs were completely justified, this is coming from a (mostly) survivor main.
They said they were looking into "closing the gap between swf and solos" but I really don't know when are we going to get anything.
I agree about the camping issue. Devs talked about making kindred base kit at one point but they decided not to. It would have been a good idea to close the gap imo.
I also absolutely hate that I have to run ds to have a chance against campers/tunnelers. The game should punish more for camping, I shouldn't have to run perks every match.

A perk that eliminates an entire power of a killer.
I know its just a little bit of an issue. I should've made a topic about a real issue.
BRING BACK OLD DS MOM AND KEEP INSTA HEALS SAFE!!
No offense but you were just very unlucky and you should get over it. It's just one match. Everyone running small game isn't even a smart idea, they got very lucky that you were playing trapper. It is annoying, I understand that, but it's just one match and it's not like it's a common thing.
-
Complaining about small game. Amazing.
People just love to go complain here after losing one match

How is Spirit broken? She’s strong and can’t be looped around easily by potatoes. That’s what we need, killers that are different from the standart. Also Nurse won’t go anywhere from the number 1 spot after the changes. Why would you call a killer broken that are not even close to be the best and has counterplay? (not talking about IW, that perk actually makes her weak if multiple people have it) When it comes to Nurse if she knows how to play you won’t have any chance to outplay her and the results of the trial will depend on the mechanical skills of the killer alone.
The last thing you said also applies to spirit imo.
At the very least the "stand still to mindgame" thing along with prayer beads needs changing.
People also keep saying use X perk to counter spirit which is just dumb. Iron will can be completely useless if she has stridor.

It is more noticeable with longer hair but I don’t have a clip of it.
I think it is subtle since she is based around mind games so it can’t be a dead giveaway.
To me, it feels like the animation reset is unintentional . The glittering could be intentional but it is strange that cosmetics like the school uniform hide some of her shards. Cosmetics shouldn't give any advantages.
-
I don't get the point of making these things very subtle if they are supposed to be intentional counterplays.
I would also really appreciate it if someone could send me a clip of this animation reset thing because I still can't notice it.
-
How about we do them both? Being broken isn't really any better than being weak imo.
-
That was probably the weirdest salty message I've ever heard.
-
It is fine if you literally can't find lobbies or if they take ages but try not to screw your teammates. You are basically making your teammates play a 3v1 match which is very annoying.

Why do you think Whispers isn't useful on Billy? Is it because of him not really being a stealth Killer?
I've been running Ruin on Freddy for a while now and I've been having some decent luck with it.
I think I will play around with different perks on Billy after this and see what I like the best.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/766264#Comment_766264
I have played with DL a little bit on Demogorgon, and while it was only at tier 1, I could definitely feel its impact.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/766275#Comment_766275
I have heard that about Spirit Fury and it definitely seems like a legitimate concern. It does seem like it would be satisfying to instantly destroy a pallet in a Survivor's face though.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/766277#Comment_766277
Oh man how I could forget it! Most underrated perk in the game by far.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/766319#Comment_766319
What do you by them catching on? Like they keep on tapping the gen once and then leave to keep me from leaving? The Survivors I go against don't really seem to catch on too quickly then when I'm using Surveillance on Freddy.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/766530#Comment_766530
I completely forgot about Infectious Fright and using Enduring for pallet hit grabs.
I can see the argument about Spirit Fury and Bamboozle. I was considering Bamboozle mainly for really big loops and areas that Billy really struggles with.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/766611#Comment_766611
Corrupt? That’s an interesting choice. I’ve always looked at it as a setup perk for Killers like Trapper and Hag. Is it to help slow down the gens once Survivors start working through Ruin?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/766620#Comment_766620
I used to run DH a lot and it was really fun when it worked. Definitely want to go back to those times.
Thanks for the help guys!
I don't really have trouble finding survivors with billy since you can go around the map at a very high speed. Corrupt intervention is a lot better on billy rather than whispers. Corrupt will reduce the area you have to search for survivors in the beginning and you will probably find someone very quickly.
-
You are doing nothing but waiting while camping and stopping the survivor from even playing the game properly. It isn't enjoyable for both sides and is a strategy bad killers use.

This is an odd thread, but other than "Why does it matter?" I don't have much input.
From my experience, sometimes killers get salty when I escape, then If I get into a lobby with them again they bring a mori and tunnel me the entire match. It's just annoying.
-
@UlvenDagoth said:
It is interesting though, that alot of maps are way more survivor sided. (I saw a video of it once on here but meh.) Shelter Woods is more Killer If I recall. One of the... 3-4.
I'd say it is the most killer sided map. The amount of pallets on that map is just too little and the edges of the map can often be deadzones with nothing to help survivors.

Glass shards are glowing? Are you only able to see that on Ultra settings? Cuz on low I can't see anything, just tried it against a spirit I versed a few ago.
I've seen some videos of it and it's a very slight glow. It also doesn't happen on other outfits. If this was a legit counter play then it should have a been a thing on all outfits.
-
Just rework it entirely. It is a very killer sided map and just so boring without a central building. It has very little pallets and there are many deadzones with nothing to use at all.
