The problem is the totem spawns. Hex totems are already well hidden on the newer maps. Making them unlit would just make them super annoying.
-
It would affect the game positively, especially for solos.
Doesn't need to be a totem counter at all, just play a sound when all totems are cleansed (like the sound when you cleanse a hex totem).

It used to be not-so-good for survivors when there were less pallets. But the amount got increased so the map is now totally fine for survs.
Umm, when did they increase the amount of pallets in shelter woods? It has too little pallets still and its filled with dead zones that has nothing for survivors.
-
Spirit is easily the most annoying killer to go against.
P3 claudettes are a pain to go against, especially on certain maps.

well I remember someone on the forums said that one of the devs said if the killer is NOT fun for the survivors then it is a problem but a forum member said this it may not be true
If that is the case then spirit will get changed since most people hate going against her
-
Honestly, this game is very annoying and frustrating a lot of the time, can be super unfair at times, but the good moments make it all worth it at the end.

They lose 7.5 chaser emblem points for every second they stay within 8 meters of the hooked survivor.
They don't make as much bloodpoints as killers who don't facecamp unless survivors feed them.
What exactly do you want to happen? What's to stop them if they don't want to rank up or cares about points?
New players probably don't even know they lose emblems points. Most new killers just camp because they don't know how to play.
-
It's full of new people, what do you expect? The game doesn't discourage them from facecamping at all, and they don't know how to play properly.
-
I'm all for improving solo experience but adding voice chat isn't a good idea. This game is already full of super toxic people. Imagine what would happen if those people were able to voice chat.

Survivors are complaining spirit can hear them... but did they ever stop and think hey... maybe i can hear her!
I think a lot of survivors forget that on top of like at least 5 perks plus mindgames they can also hear spirits footsteps/see grass move just like a wraith.
Wraith goes invisible too but because he announces hes there with his bell hes ok but spirit is op?
Spirit does not move the grass while phasing. It is also basically impossible to hear her footsteps because of the chase music.

I would be happy if it was 6 ranks.
I got a rank 13 killer at rank 3 survivor

For once I agree with you (other than the first part. Not sure how you got the "Survivor's fult for Killer Dcs" thing). DCing is a cowardly and stupid thing done by both sides. Both should be punished for it. If a Survivor DCs then the Killer should get full Sacrifice points. If a Killer DCs, then the Survivors should get full escape points.
Killers that DC at the end of the match make no sense, as they won't get BPs either. I think it's a stupid waste of time that gives Killers a bad name. Just like Survivors DCing. There is no good excuse for DC'ing other than Real Life issues.
That being said, when the game is done, don't just fast vault that window a billion times to get "Senpai Killer" to notice you so you can taunt him or whatever. I'll either come hit you out the gate on my own time, or wonder the map and think about how i could have done better.
They are saying that they dc because survivors wait at the exit gate and don't escape(blaming survivors). It's a stupid reason to dc and it's not justified whatsoever.

You can say the same for ALL players. But this game feels very balanced as someone who started the game two years ago. It was hard then, but now most survivors have way more perks to build specific play styles, and killers who were super strong have been dumbed down while weak ones have been beefed up.
i play both sides, and feel that the Spirit is a challenging killer, but making her weaker is just taking away a killer who has ALREADY been considerably weakened around her release.
it just feels unnecessary. I understand that if you have trouble surviving her that it’s frustrating, but this game wouldn’t mean much if surviving was something you could always expect. There would be nothing to overcome and it would just be point farming.
Umm, how was spirit nerfed? She got buffed multiple times since the ptb as far as i remember.

So... you went to the post made 5 months ago to try to justify that not only 3 killers are viable in red ranks, where, not just by the fact those are not recent statistics, but they also posted this, in which you can clearly see that regarding RED RANKS, survival rate is quite high and not balanced being ranks 3, 2 and 1 avobe 50%? God, I need survival rate per killer per rank, that would be amazing
I don't see any reasons why the amount of 4man swfs would change since then. If anything, it would have gone down with the new matchmaking changes.
Survivors being in red ranks doesn't really mean much. It only shows how much you played that season. Red rank survivors can be just as bad as a rank 10 survivor. You are mistaking red ranks with 4man swf's. EVERY killer is viable in red ranks.
Rank 1 statistics are also false , read the note below that picture

i Agree. Being survivor used to be way harder and they’ve made a lot of things easier for when you wanna play survivor. People used to know how to survive the Spirit and now she’s “too powerful”.
people want the game to be easier, not learn how to overcome the challenge
I could also say the same thing for spirit players. Overcome the challenge and play other killers. Spirit is literally easy mode unless you are going against a 4 man swf.

Eventually it will be all killers nerfed and all the killers will go to another game and survivors can have absolutely nothing.
Or survivors will go to other games because they don't want to play against annoying killers :)

Well it's a good thing we don't decide balance around playing 1 game right?
It was your "first" game with Nurse, I doubt you stomped them unless they were playing their very first game too. You don't pick Nurse up in 1 game, it takes hours of work.
I picked her up in like 5 matches. It really isn't that hard if you have seen some gameplay before trying her.

I cannot possibly say. I can't even say for sure whether or not the game will be on the PS5 (even though I would certainly hope so). If/when that happens, we'll do a proper announcement.
PS5 supports backwards compatibility with PS4 games as far as I know.

and when i asked him why he was doing this. he responded with " just look at my profile comments. dbd community is toxic and i'm punishing it for being toxic ".
a bit stupid. but ehhhh. what do you expect from a facecamper?
Like 80% of turkish players play spirit and they camp/tunnel like crazy.

Dude... What do you preffer? A 4 man escape or you being the only one who survived whyle on SWF with your friends? A "win" is a matter of perception. Of course I know a 2k is a tie, but if you wanna go up in red ranks as killer you at least need a 3k, it's BS that the only certain way to get those are to use those 3 killers.
I'D LOVE to see your statistics source, is it divided per rank colour? Cause if you're talking apples when there are clearly watermelons then it's not objective information. What I mean is, most of the population is in low ranks, based on that, yes, SWF is not common in those ranks, but for high ranks, I'd really like to see those stats
4man swf is less than 10% of the entire playerbase. There are no rank specific statistics though.

If you're a killer you don't live for the 2k... YOU WANT THE 3-4 and as an XBOX red rank killer every month, all I get is good SWF teams, yes, I can get the 2k with almost any killer, but for the 4k it's either nurse, Freddy or Spirit. Call it bad luck, but the "3 viable killers" for red ranks is a fact for me if I want a 4k.
So you want to win every single match. Is that it? 2k doesn't mean you lost, it's a tie.
Statistics also show that 4 Man swf isn't common. You must have super bad luck if you go against those every match.

Killers shouldn't have to use ruin to extend the game a little bit but we really don't have a choice to we?
Ruin is viable against every survivor. That doesn't mean gen times are fine but you can't use that as an example.
Expecting survivors to run Iron will every game just in case the killer is spirit AND they aren't using stridor isn't realistic.

@arslaN You just justified what @cipherbay_ (OP) said in his post... Survivors have (quoting your comment) more than 10 good things killers complain about and we killers have what? Two really good killers and you want to take them away from us?10+ vs 2 (you see the problem right there?
Good sir... Talking as a NON COMPLAINING KILLER (I don't have any issue with ANYTHING survivor related at the moment), the fact that survivors want the nerf of one of the only 3 viable killers for red ranks is just BS...
I only talked about spirit. What gives you the idea that's the only thing I want?
The priority should be to buff the weaker killers first and then spirit can be changed.
The 3 viable killers thing is a lie. Red ranks survivors can be jokes. If you are talking 4 man swf's with good survivors then yeah, maybe those are the 3 only viable killers. Most killers are already viable in red ranks, but that doesn't mean you are going to have an easy match with most of them.

Real quick though, wouldn't it be fun to have Killers you have to think about how to beat more than just "Run a circle!"?
Yes it would. If they rework all the maps most loops will be mindgameable anyways and that's a very good thing.
Spirit isn't really a killer I have to "think" to beat. I can't even understand if she is phasing or not (i know people keep saying there are signs that she is phasing but i still can't tell). When I'm injured the chase is over if she has ears. When I'm uninjured I have to decide which way to go when she is phasing, which is also kind of luck based. It's not enjoyable. I'm all for different play styles against different killers, but this is not it.

What gets me is when people cry saying there is no counter when someone can bring Iron Will and Dance with me to completely hide their scratch marks or bait their scratch and sneak off with Iron Will. I can agree that some add Ons make her Strong but that's why it's called an Add on as every killer has a BS add on like Plague seeing auras of sick survivors. Trapper having automatic reset traps. Pig having tampered timer and gear box. Infinite tier 3 Myers. I could honestly care less if they get rid of prayer beads cause I never use them, I just don't want them to touch her base kit.
You can easily make iron will useless with stridor. I also shouldn't have to run certain perks to have a decent chance against a killer.
-
Because killers must tunnel certain survivors because they are apparently toxic for playing them and steve is one of those survivors now.

She was very good in high ranks as i said tho. I think we can all agree that a little fatigue nerf and the addon change would've been enough.
I think all they needed to change was, making the fatigue when she misses an attack slightly longer to punish her for missing her attacks a bit more and make the fatigue when you hit someone slightly longer to give survivors more time to run away since she can end the chase very quickly after getting the first hit.
-
Lets complain about survivors crying but ignore killers complaining about ds,adrenaline, keys, instaheals, swf, borrowed time, dead hard, toolboxes, flashlights, balanced landing and more. But no, survivors want one killer changed, we can't allow that right?
Everyone can and will complain about things they want changed. Ultimately, devs will decide what needs to be changed, not what survivors and killers cry about.

Right! Make her addons useless AND nerf her basekit 4head!
I didn't say anything about the rework, stop making assumptions :) I was fine with base nurse, that was one of my favourite killers to go against. I wasn't against a slight nerf to her base kit, but they went too far with the changes. But saying old nurse wasn't that strong is just not true.

I don't get the point of you pathetically and unironically trying to justify horrible human behavior. Maybe it's because you're the one to do it all the time and your happiness will get severely hurt if something like that is punished/removed.
You refuse to understand what I'm saying at this point. I'm done saying the same things over and over.
-
I'm not justifying anything. I don't know what to tell you if you think teabagging is worse than harassment. It's time to grow up if you are going to cry because someone rapidly pressed the crouch button in a video game. You are just as childish as the teabagger if you are going to get mad over stupid stuff like that. That's what I'm trying to tell here, I don't even the get the point of your latest comment.
-
It disappeared from many players. Devs are aware and looking for a solution.
-
If the devs were favoring survivors then they wouldn't constantly nerf them for 3 years. That's all that needs to be said really.
-
@MisterCremaster said:
I think this would happen less if survivors didn't always feel like the killer needs to see them out the door. I'm not saying you are doing this, or would, but its a problem.
The killer already is losing, likely had terrible luck, and now your wasting his time. He may not be getting many points, so just wants to start into the next game.
I think this could be solved if survivors could see the auras of other survivors in the exit gates, and the hatch was actually worth LESS points than a gate escape. (Note, you can only see auras of others in the OPPOSITE gate - so both survivors need to be basically about to head out. If they're running the field, no aura is shown).
I understand the desire to make sure everyone exits safely and isn't being chased etc, but often times everyone is safe, but there is that one guy who feels the need to get extra points for the hatch escape delaying EVERYONE if they don't have coms, or they're waiting at a different gate.
I know - its not a lot of extra time - but its basically a waste and its just adding insult to injury.
So, it's survivors fault now that killers dc? How about both sides handle losing and not get mad over stupid things?
-
Add PGTW, Thanataphobia and Dying Light onto them and it gets very annoying

Tbagging and flashlight clicking is a bad thing as well, but you try to justify it.

Ah so basically, chat, an avoidable thing ,is the horror, but tbagging and flashlight clicking, which can't be avoided, is perfectly fine. 10/10 logic.
Insulting and harrassing someone on the chat is the worst thing in the game. Teabagging (which is probably a part of every online which has a crouch button) and flashlight clicks are taunts. Taunting the other side is a part of almost every online game. People don't get mad at other games ( and some of those games even have taunt buttons) , but people get absolutely furious in dbd for some reason. Listen to the advice and stop getting mad over stupid things.

You are too good for these forums.
The real issue people have is the irresponsible use of Self Care. Taking 32 seconds to Self Care is fine, taking 32 seconds to Self Care while two people are on hooks and the third is being chased is not.
This is so true. Self care is a good perk IF you know when to use it but many survivors use it wrong.

Interupting a heal is a smart move, whether you choose to go after the unhooked or the rescuer. Why should someone actively look around the map for a survivor when they already know where at least 2 survivors are? Point being...returning to the hook after an unhook isnt a bad idea at all.
As far as what can the survivor do? Get to a safer location before attempting a heal if the killer isnt far away or busy. Too many times, the reason someone goes down again is because they spend too much time in a dead zone. The rescuer can also choose to body block for their teammate if the killer IS targeting the unhooked survivor. It might suck to take a hit, but it is still an option for you.
I didn't say anything about healing in the spot you got unhooked. That's survivors' fault if they do that. Spirit or billy can pretend like they are leaving the hook, go away a little, and come back immediately when survivor gets unhooked to hit them again.

Well then how do you explain the recent debuff of the Nurse? Survivors whined about ti so much devs finally did something about it, we'll see a Nerf for Spirit here pretty soon mark my words. They don't want to piss off the Survivors because the Survivors is the main player base of this game. Piss off the survivors lose half the base of your game.
If you think old nurse was fine you are very biased. Even killers complained that her addons were broken.
If they were afraid of pissing off survivors, they wouldn't have reduced the amount of pallets, nerf fast vaults, ds, mom, flashlights, instaheals, exhaustion, healing speeds, brand new parts and even more.

It's also not the killers fault that the survivors instantly go for the rescue when killers do that.
I didn't say instantly :)
Many killers go away from the hook and wait for them to unhook to instantly down the unhooked survivor again. It is quite easy to do this with spirit or billy and survivors can't do much in that situation.

Of course they can wait, that's why you got to move to a loop.
Judging by the rest of your post it's clear you haven't played against some SWF groups at R1 then.
Where did you get that idea? When I play killer I don't get hit with DS that often since I always go for the unhooker and slug the unhooked one if I come across them. There are always some bs moments with DS though, I will admit that. Like when the gates are open they can pretty much have a guaranteed escape with DS.
