Will removing self care cause this to happen ?

do you guys think removing self care ( which is a killer perk imo ) will make the game survivor sided?

or maybe a bit better for survivors as the games I lose is mostly because 2 or more ppl equip self care and the gens will never get done.

who would want this perk to be removed?

and I'm talking red ranks not green or grey

do you guys think its a good perk that helps survivors or its a bad perk that helps killers?

lets have some little friendly discussion about this perk

  • You cannot simply "remove" a perk or else claudette will have only 2 teachable perks

    Changing it yes

Removing, requires a new perk to take its place

    well said

  • It's a good perk, ya'll should equip it, we killers hate when you take so little time to self heal...

  • I reallty would love it to be removed and replaced with something else tbh.

It just causes survivors to waste time and get their teammates killed in the process.

    Me, as legion

    Yeah, run it please....

  • I know right? It's really OP! Spread the word!

  • thanks guys for all the friendly replies.. I smell that this perk is really shi tty :D

  • It's not getting removed, if they were really inclined, the perk would be reworked but it's in a fine spot imo, it's a beginner perk at best, I dropped it, I either use Inner Strength or I don't bring any perks to help me heal.

  • There are other survivor perks that are useless and in turn "help" the killer if equipped. Should they be removed as well?

I know selfcare is falling out of meta usage but come on.

  • I mean as a killer it would be a nightmare if you verse optimal survivors who make gens their homes isntead of going in the corner self healing.

I think removing will make game survivor sided 100 %

What are you talking about? You didn't read? ALL survivors should run it! Remember it gives y'all 300 BP per heal!

LUL. yes Mr. killer I hear you <3 :D :S

  • You do realize that using self care to heal does not waste any more time than when someone else heals you? Either you take 32 seconds to heal yourself, which means one survivor is not on gens for 32 seconds, or it takes 16 seconds to heal if someone else is healing you, which means 2 survivors are not on gens for 16 seconds.

Let's say one survivor is self caring, the other is working on a gen. 32 seconds later the self caring survivor is healed, and the other survivor has repaired 32 charges of the gen, cause you normally repair one charge per second.

If the other survivor is healing you, that means you are only wasting 16 seconds on healing, but none of you is working on gens. After you healed, you can both work on a gen. Working on that gen for another 16 seconds will allow you to probably repair approximately 30 charges of that gen, because survivors suffer a small repair speed debuff when working on gens together.

So actually, in that case, after 32 seconds, you are able to repair slightly more charges of a generator when one survivors is self caring and the other is repairing a gen. If you decide to repair a different gen than your teammate, chances are high you will be wasting time getting to a different gen.

This also doesn't factor in the time you waste running to a survivor so he can heal you.

swing chains - sloppy butcher - dying light - ...etc etc.

youre saying if 1 is self caring that mean all three are left doing gens.

this might be true but not always.

    so no

  • We already saw what happened when they nerfed healing overall. Out came the phrase "non heal " meta as people adapted and now gens go faster.

Removing self care will compound that issue even more. It has been stated many times but healing overall is less efficient no matter how it happens

Self care at base is 32s and allows another to have that time doing a gen. Finding someone means you are not on a gen for that period and then you remove another for 16s so factoring that time to look and then get healed up which is then two off a gen which still equates to more than 32s overall.

Efficiency wise self care is still actually better if you want to heal in a match if no one is immediately close by or has a perk to help like we'll make it.

The perk has its place in the game but it is a lot more useful with botany or a medkit for maximum use imo.

That is why Inner Strength and Second Wind are perks alongside Self Care.

Destroy 5 Totems at 5 Different Times = 5 Self Heals within 8 seconds = No NOED = No Ruin = No Thrill of The Hunt = No Devour Hope = Yes Haunting Grounds But also Removes it. = Huge Win!

2 Unhooks = 2 Self Heals = Do Gens until Healed (Within 30 Seconds). = Big Win Win.

Self Care = Unlimited Heals within the game. = Fully Healed = More Gens could be done without being worried about your current position (Or how many times hooked or how many totems are left) = Success!

So All of these perks has Pros and also has a few Cons.

We shouldn't remove Self-Care or any of these other perks. Nor should we change them, these aren't OP. But will be useful without having to search 6 Chests hoping to get a Med-Kit because no one on your team will heal you. (Or if you are getting dominated by the killer in which the Killer sacrifices the 3 other survivors and you either have to A: Find the Hatch or B: Open the Exit Gate)

  • As with any non-meta perk, you cant get mad at your teammates for utilizing a perk you personally would not.

Your reasoning is sound, but theres still afew points I figured I should mention. The first being, you assume when being healed by teammates, the only possible answer is a single teammate. In the event of being healed by 2 teammates, you have 3 survivors utilizing 8 seconds. Thats a total then of 24 seconds instead of 32, without taking into account perks that assist in team healing, like solidarity or autodidict.

The 2nd hole is simply the amount of time a single survivor is left healing and remaining in a vulnerable state. That 32 seconds is just ASKING for a stealth killer with nurses calling to find you before you finish. The less time you spend to heal, the less chance you risk of being found injured.

  • Removing or changing self care will make gen times even more problematic. Healing speed nerf already caused this to some degree along with making adrenaline a meta perk

  • I think removing self care would create way more good survivor players actually.

Maybe if you were less focused on getting the gens done as quick as possible I wouldn't need self care... As it stands since most people won't get off the ******* gen to heal me, I'm taking self-care.

Often times its a matter of priorities to some people. Theyd rather finish up the gen theyre on, and heal you up after. It makes sense when you look at the possibility that if the gen isnt finished quickly, it runs the risk of the killer regressing it with Pop or something...or in the case of Freddy, the longer the gen stays unfinished, the more time Freddy has to teleport to it. Rather than teabagging at a teammate who's working on a gen for 10 seconds, then getting annoyed and begin self-caring...You could help pump out the gen if its close to being finished. They'll LIKELY heal you afterwards.

  • if survivors prioritize healing over doing gens when they have the freedom to choose between those two. this helps kilelrs and vice versa.

thats my whole point all these ( SITUATIONAL ) point of views are irrelevent thats my opinion tho.

I completely agree when you guys self care so quickly it really just ruffles our panties.

You are too good for these forums.

The real issue people have is the irresponsible use of Self Care. Taking 32 seconds to Self Care is fine, taking 32 seconds to Self Care while two people are on hooks and the third is being chased is not.

This is so true. Self care is a good perk IF you know when to use it but many survivors use it wrong.
