You got totally screwed by the completely broken matchmaking., but DCing is technically against the rules, and sometimes that's what survivors want the killer to do: they see the killer DCing as a win.

I play for fun and not kills as well. I prefer to go AFK when it's not fun. I stand flush against an exit gate with my nose in the wall and go do something else. Yeah, I'm stuck in the match, but unless the survivors want to DC they have to go play gen repair sim. If I'm still in the room I may get to open the exit gate when the last gen pops, which is nice for the points and to force them out.

A lot of the survivors who act the way you described hate playing gen repair sim. Sometimes they actually do DC once they realize the killer's not going to interact with them.

I just had a team go afk because i did. I came back to the pc and they were all around me with crows. I downed them all and one hooked.

  • Better then what we have now. current main event makes him weaker!

For me, fun isn't about how many kills I can get, it's about not depiping or even pipping up while memeing about and having a laugh. Bully Squads don't make me laugh, they make killers quit the game (possibly permanently)

I got news for you, You can't pip in red ranks without killing a minimum of 3 survivors.

  • @FrenziedRoach said:

    Yes and no

The occasional ragequit is understandable. Hell, even I will do it once every couple months but I make it a personal rule that if I ever ragequit, I'm done for the night and I don't play anymore after that.

However, if you make a habit of quitting anytime the match gets challeging for you, then it crosses into territory where you are the bad guy.

it doesn't matter if YOU play for fun - you have to start up the game with the full awareness that the opponent you might get plays wide open and is going to hit you with every low-down dirty trick in the book. And if you are not mentally prepared for that at any time, put the game down for awhile and do something else.

There's no shame in admitting it just might not be for you. Just don't be one of those people who waste the time of 4 others. I mean, even if they were seeking to troll you (they could of been trying for rituals or rift challenges to be fair), all you did was feed them by leaving anyway... good job, you just encouraged them to do it to the next guy.

So anyway, there you have my honest opinion on the matter. Do with it what you will,

SWF isn't a challenge. its just plain boring and sanctioned cheating because money..

I'm not a DS advocate but I can tell you that all these people tunneling their little hearts out and hollering "just run DS it's still a good perk" are part of the problem and with the way solo play has been I wouldn't be surprised to see a new perk brought out or survivors being buffed in some way to defend tunneling better , I personally haven't had an issue but the proof to what I'm saying has been all over the forums people complaining about being tunneled and then being told to run a perk they have to buy a character just to get in order to defend it , you reap what you sow....if survivors continue to get tunneled at they rate they are don't be upset when they get buffed to defend it

Why shouldn't killers Cheer "just run ds" when previously it was exceptionally rare to get a game without it?

Survivors can't abuse it and are crying for an auto obsession so they can take another abusable perk while also having the "threat" of DS. This is stupid and entitled.

If you are being tunnelled (real tunnelling) then start to run the perk again. If it was still at its previous popularity then there would be no issues.

  • I guess survivors want a challenge, like when they take no mither. Nobody is stopping them from running a perk they always ran previously.

    Let me get this straight.

When you find out you are against The Spirit you immediately find a hook and point at it to get the Spirit to kill you as quickly as possible?

Hmm. I wonder if not playing against her has something to do with you not knowing how to play against her. 🤔

    Think what you want.

Crouching and walking with iron will does nothing against spirit players using sound cards and causing themselves hearing loss.

Pretty much but the instant I see a red paint brush swing chain Freddy someone is suiciding

I don't find freddy that bad tbh.

  • Nah, even i don't stick around for spirit games. i find a hook point at it and leave. give as little points as possible to them.

Her concept is broken and there is no way to fix it without a full blown power change. They even find me in phase when i am not injured or moving and inside bbq range.

You can't stop making sound as survivor and she gives zero feedback as a killer with to many ways to mess with audio.

  • Spirit is clearly better because of her hidden ability.

No survivors die on the hook faster than against her.

  • He got his addon pass. you are looking at it.

The entire idea of the update was to make the addons 90% useless and his power mediocre because he upset new players.

This was my first thought. Poor Trapper getting nerfed with every map rework. 😔

The survivors just break into the reworked map and mow the lawn around each loop a day before release. Why else would there be a perfectly clear path around each loop with thick grass directly next to it where nobody runs?

  • Just run ds.

Most matches had ds in them pre nerf and survivors had zero issues using a perk slot for it to stop tunnelling so what has changed? it still stops tunnelling.

As much as you try to blow up breakable Walls as a problem for Killer, they really arent.

Depends how many you need to break.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2092975#Comment_2092975

Sorry that you have to waste 2 seconds of your life to break a wall which makes the Loop useless. The Main Buildings with Breakable Walls mostly did not have anything left after the rework. You will not lose a game when you have to break 1 Wall.

And in the end, complaining about them does not do anything, Devs want to force them through, so just live with them.

Plus the time taken to walk to it, plus the time lost losing the survivor you were chasing just to be forced to break it. plus the time lost on a health state you should have been able to remove earlier.

  • Judging from previous maps, it will be worse for killer but look pretty.

More god loops, more linked tiles, more gaps and holes for survivors to see you through.

  • The fixes are obvious but they refuse to do them because "what is fun for survivors" is what this killer is all about.

  • You said it yourself. "imagine waiting 5 min for a game" We clearly don't have enough killers for the number of survivors and there is still a reason for that. SWF.

  • It will be a meme addon / thread

All these reworks have changed anything decent into memes.

  • I get to use it most games now and it usually costs the killer multiple gens.

Survivors have done this to themselves and need to just shut up and sit in a corner. either use the perk or make the game harder for yourself.

It doesn't need a buff. it doesn't need an auto obsession USE THE PERK AND KILLERS CAN'T TUNNEL YOU!

All this nerf has done is reveal that survivor mains think tunnelling = chasing me any time after i am hooked once.

I disagree. Meg is QUITE loud and she is probably the most played female character along with Claudette (who is also on the louder side). Even just her breathing is super loud. Feng is loud. Yui is loud. Jane is THE loudest and they are played quite often.

I don’t know why many people don’t played Jeff and Ash but it’s not because they’re loud or else everyone would be an Ace main.

    No cosmetics.

  • Survivor is not injured by your hatchet but offers 100% bp gains in the devious category.

  • Every post here boils down to this.

If the survivors are good, you can't.

  • Killer is getting buffs but here i am still waiting 5 to 10 minutes for a game hmmmm...

The last test was not good; it worked more or less the same as it did the first time around. That means it worked for some people, within certain ranges, and didn't work for more than half the rest of us. Whatever criteria they are using isn't consistent and is breaking down at certain levels, or it interacts BADLY with the demands of the Que. If it had worked as well as you think, it would have rolled out with the last update. It sounds like you are in a range it worked for, and that is great. Just be aware that it did NOT work well for everyone.

For example, it threw entire herds of Bambi my way to get slaughtered and turned into venison jerky. I went from my normal all Red Squads to "Tasting the Rainbow" as all manner of mix and matched color Ranks came my way. And don't let that MMR moniker fool you, there was a difference in skill between the Rank 18-20 and the odd Rank 4-1 thrown in. I don't know if their new system truly tries to pull people of a certain, equal rating so much as it tries to force a mix and match of ratings in a way they believe will be fair. Whatever the case, SWF weren't affected by it all.

As much as I'd like a true, skill based rating system, I'm starting to believe it is a pipe dream, and just not possible within the framework of DbD. I think it would be better at this point to just make it "first in is first out" and you get who you get. This would provide maximum speed for the Que, and can't be any worse (or weird) than the matchups we get when "Taste the Rainbow" kicks in.

When i played killers i never or rarely use i got new players. this is how it is meant to work because i never gave it a chance to build up a rating for that killer.

When i used nurse it was toxic 4 man squads that made me stand in a corner of the basement and do something more worth my time.

MMR shouldn´t be affected by disconnects.

So everyone exept streamers and seal team 6 squads will love the new MMR.

Streamers will take the hit for the rest of us to achieve balance. XD

Only for the top 15% of players. Killers will only play spirit and nurse.

Survivors will only go against spirit, nurse, hag or a one trick.

The rest of us will get put with people our skill level, which means unless queues thin again, then killers will have fun for once in the lower ranks.

Stuff the top 15% stop being so sweaty and abusing discord so much. If anything it will highlight the problems with real stats and the devs can address them without the mud.

Dowsey is a prime example of why we need mmr. From what i have seen he lives in an area that gives him quite spudsy survivors and should never have reached 800 kills with THAT killer.

Survivors literally do not care about deep wound at all, lol.

They complain how boring it is all the time when talking about legion.

  • @Profezia said:

Laceration still not fixed, main event still not fixed.

Like, was it so difficult to allow to have main event active until you WANT to activate it?

Or was it so difficult to make laceration disappear NOT automatically, but after survivor performs some kind of action?

I appreciate recoil&spread buffs, but everything else is definitely not what he needed.

Trixter is all about what survivors find fun. Survivors hate Deep would mechanics.

  • Changes nothing and he is still a toy.

You can't hear the whoosh sound in her terror radius.

To be visible all the time? So you don't want her to have a power?

If you're not sure if shes phasing or just standing there watching you break line of sight. Walk away don't run.

He is talking about the random intermittent phase she does. You can even use addons to make it more frequent.

It s bs when it happens at the right time (for the killer)

It's the most annoying thing ever. Rushing gens when Killer's do that is fair play but my god literally every single game I had today just had face campers, tunnelers and my team just did gens. Its not fun. Lowkey sometimes wish they reverted the ds nerf tbh, tunneling is going thru the roof now that it's nerfed, regardless if ds is present or not

The problem is that survivors always have the option to "rush" gens, but the game is balanced around them standing in a corner and picking their nose.

The moment we had something that incentivised survivors to do anything other then gens they cried and cried and cried for it to be nerfed and now undying is trash tier.

  • Unfair hitboxes that only get better (for the killer) when pings are bad. She can down fast when given the chance and can ignore pallets.

  • Playing bubba and am barely or even not able to keep up with under 30 second chases each. You just waste to much time walking from one point to the next between hooks.

  • i usually end up getting hit with it when there are 2 survivors left and one is really really good at sitting in lockers.

  • Why does DS need to be buffed? You are working on a gen so are clearly not being tunnelled.

  • Get 2 other people, split up around the map and hold M1. Don't go for saves unless it is 100% safe and only save just before second stage.

Watch the killer crumble while eating popcorn.

  • @TragicSolitude said:

Killer controls feel like crap on console, frames drop too often, and the fog makes the PS4's fans get so loud that it's really really distracting. If they implemented cross progression so I could bring my account to PC, I'd do it, but I'm not starting over, I'll just straight up quit playing before I do that.

I used to play to win in DbD, but console optimization never came, dedicated servers made things so much worse, and as killer it began to feel like the game itself was against me when it'd drop frames at the worst times, I'd lose chases because Bloodlust tiered up, aim dressing would have me hitting everything in the environment except the survivor, and grabs only work like one out of every ten times. That kills the competitive spirit. So, I'm now usually in a casual mindset, but the game's matchmaking is ass and it rarely puts me with other players who share my playstyle. I like doing challenges and earning achievements, trying out different perk builds. If I could burn an offering to remove hooks from the map to give survivors the hint that there's no need to rush for their 4e so I could goof off with whatever dumb thing I'm trying to do, I would. Instead, I get discouraged quickly that whatever I'm trying to do isn't going to happen and I just stand back and let them have the win because that's the only thing they want and stopping them was the very thing I never cared about, and I just hope the next match I get survivors who are slower at getting gens done. But like I said, matchmaking sucks, so I get burned out quickly and go back to playing other games, throwing cricket bats at zombies in Dying Light or something.

tldr I play for fun, not to get kills, but that's an alien concept to most survivors I get matched with so the match is no fun for anyone. I mean, maybe a 4e where they didn't have to put in effort is fun, I dunno, 11k and a depip as survivor doesn't seem like that great an outcome but I'm not them. However, it's definitely boring for me so I go play other games.

You need to replace the thermal paste before it cooks its self. Just follow a guide on youtube and it will be easy.

I changed mine and it is quiet as well as the frames improving a little.

  • The main buildings that are still 3 gen loops but now with added time waste (a breakable wall to prevent infinite)

  • Why isn't this meme closed? :(

  • Can we have some more cosmetics for plague :(

  • The standard hold W and get looped is also boring.

  • @Marigoria said:

Thanks for making solo Q even more ridiculously miserable I guess?

Nothing like being chased first and being the first to finish not one but 2 gens and then die first because the others don't play around bbq and lead the killer to you without healing you. yay...

  • I had no idea it was bugged until i saw a post on here a couple of weeks ago.

  • when there is 2 people left and you see them get in a locker with bond near the hatch.... Run the killer to the locker and open it in his face XD

  • Get a soundblaster Z off ebay. works wonders.
