It's busted against killers who have good connection. Against a player with average or poor connection, you'll rarely use the perk effectively.
Probably why i have issues with it at 12-30 ping depending on the day

Blame basement bubba and all the spirits and hags that "walk away" to teleport / phase back the moment someone is saved.

When I was first reaching for higher ranks yes. I'd suggest you take a look into the emblem system and guides on how to optimize your build and playstyle. Examples: equipping BT to guarantee safe unhooks, looping guides, etc.
If the issue is just game speed, then you can try to do side objectives such as totems for extra points.
I am doing totems etc but it is just still to fast. I get maybe 1.5 gens done and one save before it is over. or get chased and do a gen and its over...

Kindred is way too strong a perk to give free for survivors and would just make every match as difficult as SWF matches.
I solo and I run Kindred on every build. If you want it, use it in your build. I don’t see the issue. You can still have a strong build with the other three perks.
SWF breaks the balance of the game. Idk why people assume bringing solo players to SWF levels would balance the game.
That's the point. Like it or now swf is part of the game and solo needs to be boosted to that level. Once you do that then they can buff killers to compete.

What's worse is that people like SupaAlf and Xeno who are in the "competitive" scene all use this exploit too lol, so much for competitive integrity

Basically, but I don't know why you would shaft your team. Like people need to think outside of themselves. I actually feel bad when my teammates die on hook. I know I know, minority here.
Depends how stupid your team is.
If you lead a killer on a chase for over 1 minute and zero gens get done, just to see them all thirsting for the unhook points that they will clearly do in the killers face. Why should you reward it and stick around?
-
As killer i can understand why. As survivor i have no idea since you can just point at a hook and move on.

People hate mending so this would only lead to more hatred for trickster
But it is optional, while mending isn't.
-
It needs to be an optional thing. You can't heal until you pull out the blades, or you can risk it and leave them in and gen rush.

@Grimzy said:
I would say No. Having anything as base kit basically ruins the intention behind the perks and using specific builds.
SWF have this base kit and never need to run aura perks.
Solo need to be buffed in a way that allows them to also run 4x second chance perks+ get all the information they want for free.
-
Because it is a survivor thing.

Gonna be honest here, I use stretched res, but only to a limited extent. Unlike some people, I have never stretched it nearly as far as 1080x1080 etc (like in the picture), since I agree it gives too much of an advantage at that level to be fair on other players.
My reasons for using it are quite simply to get consistently high FPS (75+) and because I think it looks nice. That's pretty much it. I'm not in it for any kind of advantage at all. I know a lot of people will simply try to dismiss this as an excuse, but these are genuinely my opinions.
If they remove stretched res in its current form, then that's understandable, but they should at least implement an FOV slider (and more graphics settings in general) and optimize the game better for more consistent FPS. You can't simply remove something like that without taking into account the consequences. Not everyone uses it to intentionally cheat.
If you want better fps then play at 720p.
-
Had a game where all 4 solo survivors had kindred. We did the gens so fast that everyone got a depip and the killer (bubba) got 3 hooks.
Nobody saved untill we needed to and just pumped gens because we could see who was doing what.
To think SWF have this info every game.

@Bangarang said:
SWF have an advantage over a team of solo survivors, but they’re not invincible. Like, at all. Quite the opposite really. They will never remove the ability for friends to play together and they shouldn’t have to. You either deal with it and adapt or simply don’t play. It might sound blunt, but it’s honestly as simple as that.
A separate game mode won’t work because why will killers knowingly want to play against a SWF? It would just punish people who want to play with friends by having ridiculously long queue times. I’ve been playing this game since it first came out on console and I’ve never once wished that SWF was removed and that’s coming from somebody who actually plays more killer. I’d say I’m 60% killer and 40% survivor.
I honestly think a lot of people are overly dramatic when it comes to this topic. If you struggle so much against SWF that you rarely win against them, that’s a problem with your current skill level.
split up and organise unhooks = gg killer. Proven by the depip squad.

Use small game and break totems.
There is your answer.
-
Either trash talk or silence, but you better believe the GG'S and "GGWP" are readily said when they win. That is why "GG" doesn't mean good game on this game.
-
All exploits should be patched out. especially stretched rez...
-
Solo survivors should not be forced to run perks to get what swf get for free.
I have yet to see a single update to buff solo survivors like the devs said they wanted to.

tbh I would rather have MISS attacks to have a longer cool downs since I can hit almost all of my pounces
That's exactly why it is on successful attacks. not hard to hit with victor and you really really need to screw up to miss.

His hit box is fine, you just need to understand how to counter him. One way is using pallets. He's forced to run all the way around or back up quite a bit to go over and even if he does do that you have time to move on, kick him after he jumps, or crouch next to the pallet and he'll fly over you.
He's also hard countered by anti-slug perks and healing perks/medkits.
Can't stand at a pallet all game. I have the twins.. victor catches up before survivors reach pallets.

Her short cooldown to throw Victor again is deceiving. You may think it looks short but he also lost 3 seconds on each lunge, 1ish seconds on kick, another second of throwing him again and then even at high move speed the next 10+ seconds to run Victor all the way back to where he was before. Charlotte wants to pick someone up? Now she has to waste more time swapping and then walking all the way over there.
My point is there is a lot of wasted time with their mechanic to where Victor has to be extremely efficient to make up for all the really bad time efficiency in the rest of their kit.
Then make it harder to hit with the lunge because he is a bloody magnet right now. On the rare event you do make him miss by using the terrain or somehow managing to avoid the hitbox, he shows up again before you can heal / be healed.
-
Twins needed something else. Kicking victor is such a pointless thing to do with such a short cooldown as punishment. They should have given 20 seconds downtime to victor respawning if you kick him.

It's a bug related to Hex:Undying. Numerous bug reports have been made already.
It doesn't always happen so fixing it might be hard for the devs. Here are a few examples that happened to me.

The corn one, despite being in the most obvious spot and seeing survivors running there left and right it never got cleansed
This explains why the "dull" totem i cleansed exploded lol

Nope, but they kind of make it impossible to depip beyond survivors doing gens in 4 minutes and leaving.
You can also depip with the chainsaw brothers if all you do is saw the survivors because the emblem system is stupid.

######### does it have to do with losing an item? It's bugged atm
You use to be able to hit through the barrier and then they made it a solid wall to stop franklins. Now that wall has bugged and moved in front of the exit line.

So it no longer happens that you drop the pallet, get hit and the killer doesn't get stunned. Instead, the pallet won't drop, or you get hit and it drops and they get stunned, in a situation where if they were operating correctly you wouldn't get hit. FIX YOUR GAME. just had a match where every single down I had on me was a bs pallet. I'm using smash hit because my yun doesn't have dead hard, and it's complete bullshit.
But that is how it works.. if you are to slow to drop it you get hit...
-
No time to do anything. I am playing game after game where survivors just run to a pallet and instantly drop them. I am playing bubba who is the quickest at breaking pallets in the game and they are still able to reach the next one because they are so close and there are so many of them.
The game is over before i get past 5 hooks and there is still pallets left.
-
I was going to "main" him, but the new pov combined with the forced camera perspective while running makes me literally want to throw up. Every time i look down slightly to see where i am going the game forces the camera back up. This causes a constant camera bob up and down up and down up and down.
No idea why they forced this.

No? I enjoy a challenge. I dont enjoy the bad elements of balance out of my control punishing me for loyalty.
Waiting 2 hours for a team of sweats on comms with meta perks and such is one thing.
But all of that on Hawkins as Oni is another.
I play fair. I never use add ons or items, I've never used a bnp in 5 years or NoED unless for memes. I never camp or tunnel unless i have to.
And i play very fairly and go easy on nes players if i somehow get them.
I enjoy the game far more than you as I've put 5 years and regrettably nearly $1000 into it.
I want to play the game.
Not get hour long waits for unpleasant matches and lose to players exploiting flawed design or elements out of my control.
When the game is truly balanced and comp ready.. try mmr, but as long as a map can get 25 pallets when I'm killer and only 5 on the same map as survivor.. this game is not ready for it. But if it was balanced and less frustrating we wouldn't need mmr as we'd have more high rank killers.
They can't balance the game because the stats are being muddied by players that don't belong in reds.
Mmr will reveal the problems just like removing the safety pip would fix some issues ( they won't remove safety pips.)
-
It isn't punnishing streamers or veterans if things are balanced.
If there is a problem with the game then it will rear its ugly head when mmr is put in place and hopefully dealt with.
As it is now the game is punishing killers that want to have a good time with anything other than nurse and spirit by shoving sweat squads against them.
-
I want to run another perk in its place but it feels like a waste getting 25k instead of 50k at the end.
-
I like how so many hard core ignores the title of the thread and what the op said and still parrot "just bait it out" "it doesn't work half the time"
-
anything that can be used as death threats or wish for suicide has been muted. anything that can be used as an insult has been muted.
I guess they cbf to deal with reports so muting chat is easier.

from the facts? which facts? your experience?
some of my exerience (which is ALSO a widely known thing that I haevnt heard only once on the forums): when playing morning til evening, my survivor queues are almost instant and the last 7 days DBD barely dropped below 25k concurrent players. doesn't look like there is a problem in killer participation in that timeframe. so for me it looks like when working time is over, more people start playing and that probably raises SWF plays, pulling some killers into survivor role, which also explains the shift in queue times
I think your "there arent enough killer players" argument is not really well founded. at least I dont see any facts for that. if the community feedback is your only fact, then the "switching queue time" fact I also get from the forum kinda equalizes that
You know the devs admitted there was a lack of killers in a live stream right?
-
as long as he is 110 and takes 8 hits to down he never ever will be viable.

Well duh? A lot of the basement lords come out to play. I find I have a lot of good games before 9pm PST. After that, the tunnelers and campers come out.
Survivors can't tunnel or camp ######### are you on about?
-
They want gens to take longer while making the map layout fair and make camping hard or pointless to do.
The only way to mess with camping is to make each hook like ppheads cages. You hook them and the entity takes them somewhere else.
Gens are too fast. Do the math and make it equal or at least closer to getting 12 hooks. Reduce map size or create large areas of nothing on the big ones.

Heh. I wonder what kind of Survivor pool you assume I have? Are you implying I'm taking on Potatoes or something? :) You realize that I play entirely in the Red Ranks with Myers right? I pride myself on getting to Rank-1 quickly and staying at Rank 1-3 until each reset. Most of the people I fight are all Red Rank Survivors, and often SWF as well.
Edit. This is way off topic. No more replies sorry

No, I said I prefer Spooky Myers. He has no Insta-Down option innately. He can't get out of Tier-1. When I do play a Maniac Myers with those options, I snowball, because a Tier-3 Myers loses the ability to wall hack. The reason I don't have a problem with Dead Hard is because a Spooky ambushes and they don't get to use it as effectively. If/when I play Maniac Myers he downs them on the first hit, and if so they aren't wounded already and thus can't use Dead Hard. In both cases I'm starting chases at the maximum speed I can manage. Spooky can get up to 120% at three Stacks (but doesn't rely on long chases), and Maniac gets up to 130% and I'm just fine with forcing them to use the Dead Hard and then catching up with them almost immediately and downing them (even if not in Tier-3).
The 3-Gen is just because if I'm outdoors with Spooky, I'm too slow to cover the entire map. *Remember I won't have Insta-Down. :)
God i wish i gad your survivor pool.... i had it during the mmr test and it was so fun :(
-
Meanwhile my chases go like this with bubba.
Find survivor, chase survivor to nearest pallet, instantly break it with saw down survivor with saw, hook.
This is the shortest you can make a chase beyond them just standing there and going down and the gens still get done in roughly 6 hooks because swf use a formula against killers they hate. 2 on far gens, one on hook and one ready to save.
I waste time finding the one in bbq range = 2 gens lost. I walk to the gens = 1 gen for every hook guaranteed.
The game is busted and i can't wait to kill some solo players with mmr. Assuming bhvr don't relax it so swf get a game with anything other than spirit...
-
Because the crying was to loud. I will say i am not sad to see iri hatchets nerfed though.
