Twins, Billy, and Trickster are the ones I never see. I’m fine about the first and last, but the lack of Billy players just hurts…he was so fun to go against before his nerf, now it’s a very rare treat to find them at all.
and then it is even more rare to find one that bothered to learn how to flick.
-
Made survivors invincible at pallets. I just got validated 5 times against a console survivor with 100 ping vs my 18 ping. How is their trash ping my problem and why am i being punished for it? Imagine that while being able to just drop the pallet on the same side and still stun the killer.
-
Thankfully the most annoying killers to face (minus spirit) are also annoying to play. Twins, Hag, Nurse, Billy
-
They got rid of reverse stuns to try compensate for the generous window hit validation has.
-
Depends on the map and the RNG that the map gets. Oh and if survivors just hold m1 or not.
-
Most non meta killer perks don't do anything. Or they are so restricted that you only get one or 2 uses of it per match for little payoff.
-
then they buffed him.

Sluzzy might be on to something.
Killers are feeling forced to use slowdown perks. That's something the devs don't want. So i wouldn't be surprised if they nerf slowdown perks even more.
Can't wait for the 20+ minute survivor queues...
They did say they are looking at problematic perks and their correlation to winning. we all know this isn't referring to survivors.

Badham and Cowshed are still super bad so I wouldn't have high hopes. The only maps that were slightly better after rework balance-wise were Ormond (less survivor sided) and The Game (less killer sided), and even then they balanced the Game the wrong way (adding tons of pallets instead of actual loops to promote gameplay).
I hope that after they finish The Realm Beyond they do another update like the one they did on the beginning of 2020 where they removed a lot of god windows and shrunk some maps.
The game is one of the most vial examples of how clueless the devs are. It went from "slightly killer sided" against ultra noobs to one of the most safe maps in the game...
-
I would still run the bp one but become more "territorial" like the twitch streamers do that don't use it.
-
They will either make it worse for killer or keep it the same with improved graphics if the current trend continues.

Haha yah throwing your words back at you isn't the same as twisting them.
You said that the devs changing the game because of camping was abuse.
You said the devs changing the game becuase of tunneling and gen rushing was OK
I simpy afford you the opportunity to explain your hypocrisy. I'm sure I'm missing something and your not just really upset at the prospect of losing the ability ti win by camping....right?
Twisty twisty twitter land.
-
Well yeah... the game is going to get easier when your team mates actually do gens.

The sale was a limited time while the ability to buy the character ends in november

Interesting so when the devs implement changes to target gen rushing or tunneling its alright but targeting camping is abuse. Can you explain the difference
No point arguing with someone that twists words to match their agenda.
-
How it should be.
At least they are getting some good data to look at now since feedback seems to hit a brick wall.
I always ignored the games I won because I knew it wasn't because of anything I did but what they failed to do.

Can't help but notice you forgot about my question
Do you consider bt a punishment for killers and ruin a punishment for survivors?
Ruin does nothing to survivors with good time management and can be removed while bt is always in play and can't be removed. I am perfectly fine with bt and think it is a good perk.
-
how is it fair to force stupid chases in dead zones that the killer has no reason to go to? It is especially problematic if the killer has a 3 gen going because they will always be near the survivor since they are watching the nearby gens.
-
@wxnickxw said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2502827#Comment_2502827
There's no punishment there, or do you consider bt a punishment for killers and ruin a punishment for survivors?
They already tried the hook timer thing and survivors just kept the killer near the hook while their buddy freely did the gens. "BuT If tHe KilLer Is chAsiNg The TImer No Fall" then they just run back and forth baiting the killer to safe areas out of chase range until he commits to one of them and wastes time.
Once you go on the hook you are DEAD. it is up to the others to save you or the killer to be kind and let you go.
-
Remove it.
I use to be against changing anything on Wraith, but after playing against it constantly it is disgusting. On the rare occurrence (and i mean RARE) that a wraith is not running this addon he is bearable. I don't mean he is easy to beat, but you can at least do something against him and get some sneaky saves or something, not just hook- ding ding- survivor found- uncloak....

Before SBMM i got 4k's easy, zero tunnelling and zero camping.
But the past weeks been a nightmare for me as a killer. I havent camped or tunnelled til today, and this is out of desperation. I've been getting destroyed all week. Survs are taking items all the time now. I haven't had a lobby in days where a survivor comes in empty handed, and its one of two items. A Key or a Toolbox. Ive seen so many BNP's being used its unreal. Id say i see one every 3 games now. In 4 cases ive seen all 4 come in with BNP.
Gen rushing is even worse than before now. Thus today i took the option to tunnel and haven't lost a match since. Only way people escape is through hatch at the end, or if i drop them at the gate.
From now on, im going to tunnel as without it, i just dont have fun. And if survs dont have fun either, then well, thats not my problem.
Medkits piss me off. they allow the survivor to quickly negate any chase you had with them while also not interrupting other survivors allowing for maximum gen efficiency.
If we didn't have medkits then injuring survivors to cause pressure and gen stall would be viable or make them waste time with self care...

Well how about instead of telling killers to not camp we talk about ways the game can be changed to make killers not want to camp. Like stopping hook timer for camping killers sounds like a win win, no more camping and no one being toxic telling killers about how terribly boring the game is when there's camping?
Unless you don't really care about what you said you did and just want to keep camping of course then nevermind
Now give some suggestions that reward the killer for not camping instead or just looking to punish them like the survivor main you are :)

Oh okay so my killer queues have gotten quicker and the survivor teams have gotten about 90x better. It's definitely not off.
Mine are back to normal now but it went super quick and the survivors varied in skill and hours like the old system for a while.
-
Step 1. spread out and hold M1 on a gen
Step 2. If found, take note of the gigantic lullaby and run super early to a high wall loop
Step 3. Run in a circle around that high wall loop for 3 gens.

Ive heard of the bug but I'm not sure what it is exactly. Can someone explain
If the survivor curves while you lunge you can slide sideways
If the survivor turns sharply while you lunge then you just lose all momentum and stand still
If you bump into anything while you lunge you lose all momentum and either stop or travel at the same speed as the survivor.
No idea how you can ######### up the lunge on a single killer when it should be a shared mechanic but its behaviour so... if anyone can it is them.

While I agree that it takes a lot of work and they probably wouldn't care enough to do those changes, QoL changes should not be locked behind a paywall.
It shouldn't, but it is the only way they would ever get the green light from their investors to do it.
-
40 minute 3 gen with a pinhead. Longest i have seen is 3 hours on a stream when infinites were a thing after the devs said it took skill to do
-
My ps4 ramps up like crazy in the lobby but calms down if i rotate the killer or move the cursor. Its weird.

@enormous_bruh_moment said:
There's a whole slew of QoL changes that would improve the menus.
Bloodweb Fast Mode:
- Remove the holding requirement.
- Remove or greatly speed up the animations of the entity blocking nodes.
- Disable the notification of the level number that you have to click through. (your level is already clearly visible, we don't need to see it ever bloodweb)
- Disable all the lore text. (most noticeable at level 50 because you get a level 50 screen, and the final lore entry EVERY time you complete one)
- Disable, or allow the toggling of bloodweb sounds.
- Please.
Or with sound settings, another big pet peeve:
There's also no reason why you can't disable Killer sounds at menus. If you're playing Oni and waiting in que, every 5 seconds he's going to scream and roar and slam around. Or Huntress who constantly pants as if she just ran a marathon. It's incredibly irritating.
This all requires actual work and doesn't make them money so why would they bother?
Perhaps if they sold it as a qol expansion pack they may work on it.

I very much enjoy facing Pinhead. I honestly think that he's a great adversary exactly as is (I haven't played AS him yet, I'm not confident enough with the killer role to mess with the more complicated ones despite the fact that my boy Doc is listed as "hard"). I wouldn't change anything about him to be honest. It would be too oppressive for the chains, as common an element as they are in a Ceno match, to be unbreakable / unavoidable by a survivor's normal defenses.
Once you play as him against competent survivors you will realise how useless the chains are.
-
@ThiccBudhha said:
I mean, they either broke on the environment or you were really far. It is basically a free hit under normal circumstances.
It only works on the really small unsafe loops. Anything slightly larger like the hay bale loops on coldwind will take to long to get around and the survivor will make you break your own chains to get to them.

I've had this same thing happening to me since the grade reset back to Ash IV. When I was Iri I I was getting fair and balanced matches. Then my grade reset and it seemed like my MMR reset with it because I've been getting way more random and easy matches. I'm just now starting to see people with 1k+ hours pop back up in my lobbies again.
Also I noticed as I'm moving up in different colored grades that they try to match me with people my same color. For example I just got into bronze with survivor and now most of my lobbies are bronzes, not ash anymore. I feel like that's just more or less the rank system it was doing beforehand not my MMR.
It only happened in the last couple of hours.

I use Counterforce. Way too many killers run hexes these days, and I still don't get it. They're such inconsistent perks. You can have them up all game or someone spawns on them.
Its all killers have. Without ruin you get zero value from chasing a survivor off a gen and you will be lucky to get 6 hooks before the game is over.

Cry harder. I'm so sick of survivors constantly getting their way. The build is fine, I've had good and bad games using this build. It isn't as easy as you thinkvto grt to the box before it is solved.
Sidenote: Chains stops briefly to allow the cube holder to successfully solve it. Duh.
Yeah but you see the potential is there to not have full control of the killers power so they want it gone no matter what.
It sucks that the only thing he has going for him is up to the survivors to allow.

No. I don't want to go back to 4-minute trials, endless sweatiness, massive W plays, extreme toxicity and everything that everyone else complains they suddenly experience at high MMR that I was forced to live through for over a year.
It's time for everyone else to suffer. I did my time, now it's everyone else's turn to die inside while I relax in the heavenly glow of "normal" trials. I can take my time and have some fun, instead of trying to and losing constantly without being able to escape that ######### hellscape outside of brief moments of reprieve as the system reset me down to rank 8 by mistake.
######### pre-mmr AU evenings and ######### every having to deal with that again.
Edit: And stop pretending that MMR is a measure of skill. It's not, or it wouldn't be hidden.
I am still getting them :(
-
In my matches they have been. It only works on smaller maps otherwise it is useless.
-
Probably nerf slowdown perks while ignoring other issues.
-
I have been doing this and it only works on small maps like swamp.
-
ITs funny when one of the survivors forget to hide their friends list but they flat out deny being swf, then when you call it out they switch to "we are just playing together without coms"
-
Nothing to do with sbmm. I am getting insane q times on a freshly purchased Pinhead.

Pretty much. As long as the damn thing actually works
The only reason i am all for it in dbd is so people who are use to easy survivors and think killer is fine get a dose of reality. I am not happy with it being hidden and no information about it being available.

Go tell the Call of Duty community that SBMM brought out the worst in the game and It's legit dead Fortnite removed SBMM due to getting flamed on twitter by their content creators and community the difference with Fortnite and Call of Duty is at least Fortnite learned their mistake before it was too late. Hiding MMR changes nothing MMR is designed to bring out the competitiveness in a person and always has been Behavior's system is designed the same as Call of Duty's and Fortnites.
SBMM should be in cod and fortnite. All the arguments in these games against sbmm boil down to "i don't like versing myself" and the only satisfaction they get is stomping noobs while not giving a ######### about their experience.
-
Aww come on now, All these NA streamers are just really really good killers. It has nothing to do with the ability of the survivors they face /s
-
The old rank system would have been better if they reset everyone to 16 each month and made it harder to pip / safety pip. The change to drop it only a single rank destroyed it and muddied the hell out of red ranks.

If it didn't hit, it didn't. Simple, it did on your screen but if it didn't happen it's because u have a bad internet.
Survivors shouldn't be punished for a killer having a bad internet, and I can apply ur same logic, 1 bs hit can make the game end for a survivor
I have sub 20 ping and get validated against people with 80 ping (worse so far). Console survivors seem to be the most protected by it.

i have hit survivors through pallets (and they dont camp them) i feel pallets are more fair now tbh, survivors have suffered for almost 5 years those bs hits
The problem is that survivors can spare a life or 2 and still win while a single validation can lose the game for the killer because they don't have anything to spare.
