Why? The killer is just being efficient like survivors using coms and splitting up on gens.
-
Sounds like work. Got any incremental number changes that can fix her?

It's still terrible. That'll get you like an extra 3 seconds in chase. Sprint burst will become the new meta and then everyone will start complaining about that
SB is fine beyond luck and cheating. If you are holding it at 99, then you are not doing gens. If you are doing gens then you will waste sb at the start of the chase.
I had a survivor use it mid chase every time i found them. Even if i found them sitting on a gen and never saw them stop running to charge it during chase. Clearly cheating but how could i prove it?
-
You know what would be better? Balanced maps so offerings don't matter.

No I feel like the mmr system did a wonderful job of matching me and this Myers together, this Myers that took 3 and a half gens of chase time across all of Family Residence to catch me and was most definitely the more skilled player ✨
(/s)
It did. It kept the campers and tunnellers away from the fresh survivors so they are more likely to stay and spend some money.
-
You don't think its a problem that it took 4 gens to catch you? i know that is only roughtly 2 minutes, but still.
I want camping gone and the hook mechanic changed entirely. But there is no point even bothering with these dev's who seem to be allergic to work and only make incremental number changes and call it a massive update.

Was in solo queue yesterday where the killer called us a [redacted]made SWF. Would not believe us being solo.
Did you look at the other survivors profiles?
I have said nice swf before and the solo always pipes up going "nuh uh, we are solo you just suck" meanwhile the 3 man proven by friends list stay silent...
-
You actually thought that much effort would go into a killer?
They are probably saving legions real power for a new killer.

They got the code from dbd mobile.

Dang I wonder how much my account is. I have 3.5k hours in it with nearly everyone p3ed
Saw a legacy claudette the other day that played like she had 10 hours in the game. I have also seen some side loaded accounts who forgot to private their profiles.. seems to be really common in this game thanks to the grind.

I desperately want them to add an endgame scoreboard indicator so people stop blaming everything on swf and realize that they probably got owned by solo queues
I want it so we can get some real stats instead of taking bhvr's at face value.
The new trick is to add an off platform player as the leader to hide the swf and lie about it. Caught this by looking at a streamer after they denied being a swf and there they were.. waiting in the lobby together lol.

i dont have a problem with 4 stack swf, most of the time they are too altruistic then again i am a Spirit main. Sure there is that one team that smashes my face in, but that is like once every other day.
Eh.. depends where you live. They have competitions on depipping killers here so just hard rush gens and out...

But if the games is already over, why should they show you if they were solo or not? Swf gives survivors a huge unfair advantage with no downside. It's unfair and maked the game unbalanced.
Dent SWF groups ego so they can't lie about it? lol

70% We all know the question I'm about to ask
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2881789#Comment_2881789
Memers?
They barely healed so they could do gens.. Issue is they sucked too much at looping to work that.
Often there were 2 or so ppl on gens
We can do this all day. One picture doesn't mean anything. I have had games where survivors don't do anything either, but i don't use that as a metric to say everything is fine.
-
@Tr1nity said:

Just stay within like 12 seconds of the hook at all time, pressure gens + hook, ez strats
also they were to busy tryna bully the clown to realize, that they were the clown
There you go. you got some stupid memers. so what's your point?
-
@Tr1nity said:

This was a 4stack, it's an easy strat, ignore the flashlight macros, and proxy everything
I don't get your point?
if they just held m1 and let you camp then they would get out in 4 minutes.
-
I don't get your point?
-
@Sluzzy said:
It is already balanced around 4 man SWF. As someone said, you don't balance around new or bad killers. If you are losing to a SWF you need to improve your gameplay.
Good one Sluzzy.

The only reason I can think of why it’d still be there is so that you can’t m1 somebody, then immediately frenzy to catch up to them and then cancel your power and follow up with another m1.
Is that necessary? I’m not sure and I’d kinda like to test legion without it.
They have a massive stun if they exit frenzy. You should be able to reach anything within that time.

wait that was stretched... even worse lol.

Tbh the only problem with DH is the invincibility window. A lot of people are complaining about it for the distance it gives, in a lot of situation, I found my chainsaw rush or lunges that would have hit in the end of the DH animation, but that are stopped because the game doesn't understand that there aren't any hitboxes. DH should be an evasion move, a dash, not a "look how'am fast dude, an'you can't hit me even if you'd predicted it".
And glad that Circle of Healing is going to be nerfed, classic M1 killers are currently impossible to play (or it was a bunch of potato survivors).
COH went from 16 to 21 seconds... woo...
Like i said. Both aspects of dead hard are a problem. Most of my interaction with the perk is me holding W and not even getting the option to hit them before they E to a pallet or window.
-
@GoshJosh said:
So far they’ve announced nothing but killer buffs for the next patch, including a heavy CoH nerf. But have you not experienced the fun that is being hard camped and tunneled on the other side, which you say and do? Bet those survivors are having loads of fun too!
COH is still in the game and the issues have not been addressed.
SWF is still a problem in relation to game balance.
2 man gen speed is still 47 seconds. Almost half the time for minimal cost.
Dead hard is and will still be in the game in some form. Even if they nerf it. Both aspects suck to play against and amount to a third health state.
Unfairly nerfed killers are still nerfed and forgotten.
-
The devs love cooldowns and every killer must have one by 2023. That's the only thing i can think of.
-
Having a worse time now then i did during the tests. Constant map offerings today with SWF after SWF after SWF.

Sounds fun. Basically going against a nurse every match. No killer is unplayabley (not a word but who cares) bad. Alot of killers that just by first glance seem to have a low skill cap, actually all have their same skill ceiling and all of them can be played to their best potential resulting in best results.
Also perks are obviously a huge factor depending on the killer. Like a Michael can be an amazing killer with the right perks and right playstyle, it's just harder to figure it out.
I truly don't believe it's the killers power and if it's weak or strong that decides what teir the killer is in, but instead how well you utilize it. Huntress can be absolute trash if you can't aim, but myers can be amazing if you utilize teir 3 correctly
Watch Dowsey and tru3 play wraith against oracle. yep, it can't possibly be the physical limitations of the killer and just the person using it. Man it's just so obvious when you see them try play b tier killers against survivors with a brain.

Oh great with the “devs are survivor sided” comments.
It isn't. It's just clear and obvious observation in game. How often do you break a pallet and get to the survivor before they reach the next one on a normal killer?
There is usually enough time to skip the first one and aim for the second pallet actually.
-
YEP.
meta survivors are disgusting to play against and all you will get is blight blight blight nurse blight as survivor.
Stacked survivor games are some of the most boring experiences i have ever had in gaming.
-
Oh don't worry. Give it a month and the game will be dead if they don't stop the bot plague that is about to hit.

3 genning from the start is a rare strat i dont really run into these days. If I saw that, i would just keep challenging you buy doing one of the outer gens that has the safest breakaway & loops. I would anticipate the inevitable and as a result, have somewhat of a head start on that gen for the 3 gen. Then hopefully my teammates will start doing the furthest gen from mine and the tug of war begins. But again, 3 genning from the start is very rare for me to encounter, so I wouldn’t sweat it. I imagine the same for a lot of players. They DEFINITELY don’t do that at high MMR. You don’t see your favorite streamer running that strat from the start nor encounter it from the start. If it happens, it’s usually after 2 or 3 gens are done. But then that still falls on the survivors for letting it happen. Lery’s is unique because it has one iteration where 4 gens are right next to each other. Bad RNG if survivors get that one. I saw it with Detective’s Hunch a couple of times and couldn’t believe how close they were to each other. There may be 1 or 2 more map iterations like this that escape me at the moment. Those, you’re screwed on.
Lol.. nothing happens at high mmr. Its boring and predictable but nothing can be done about it.
-
I play both sides now if q time permits and am still biased towards killer. There just isn't that much to complain about on survivor that isn't their own doing by pushing the devs to balance the game the way they have.
-
You already reached peak game changing annoyance with your current perks.

People did not love Artist i guess. She is decent but she was not even popular at her first week. Probably people got bored because of anti-loop killers.
People are playing Sadako i think for some reasons:
She is stealth killer and stealth killers loved by community. Just look pick up rates for Wraith, Ghosty and Myers. Pig is probably only one not popular.
She is fun to play and face.
And she is so adorable.
I think we will see more Sadakos after CoH nerf and Haemorrhage buff. This is good thing btw, i always appreciate different killers.
anti loop killers are fun. To attempt to stifle your illusions, people hate artist because she is slow and clunky with multiple slowdowns and a power you can't fully utilize in chase because of the cd and 2 hit requirement. her power was clearly designed with bird mines as part of the kit, but got removed by popular demand in the ptb.
Nothing to do with being anti loop...

There’s a reason why he refuses to patrol them- he’s trying to create a 3 gen situation. Us as survivors can prevent that. You just need to be mindful of gen placement, be familiar with the maps, and do your best to keep track of what gens your teammates are on, and which ones they have completed. It’s a strat that I take pride in executing.
You don’t do the corner gens first- especially if you spawn at them. I’ll only test them for Ruin. No Ruin? My strat is to run the map counterclockwise to the next nearest gen. (For some reason my chances of running into the killer are low- unless Lethal Pursuer is active). Depending on the map, I may or may not do that gen. Ideally you want to do the middle gen/middle left & right gens first if they can be worked on safely. Then work on the two gens left and right of the main building if they have one. Do this correctly and now the killer has to patrol the main building, and the bottom two gens. That’s very difficult unless they have map control like Sadako, Freddy, Artist, Demo, etc.
‘Not every map is setup up the same, but a lot are. For those that are unique, I have adjusted strats for them, but they’re the same idea with minor tweaks.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2878906#Comment_2878906
Np bro. I know the solo Que struggle- 3 genned is one of many! 🤣
But.. the killer is already hard patrolling the 3 gen.. you are already playing the 3 gen game and trying to win the attrition war. Wouldn't it be better to smash gens while conserving pallets and hook states around the target area before bothering to play the killers game?
I know it happens unintentionally in solo q. I had one earlier today and they ended up disconnecting because the gens were all in sight of each other and i killed the booner earlier on. But i have had people rage in the end game at other survivors when i was just 3 genning from the start of the match like they did something wrong.
-
They are fine. If they are. In capable hands they are strong, and have counters. If you want to nerf something then nerf flashbangs. There are some killers that will cop a blind from that even if they are looking up because these devs can't code to save their life and made the blind radius insane on them...

@Thusly_Boned said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/316974/gen-rushing-is-still-a-problem
Not to be mean, but gen rushing is mostly a function of poor play or preparation on the killer's part. If you are using a low mobility or less powerful killer, you need to run gen defense/regression perks, sometimes more than one. And knowing which gens to defend, etc. is important.
If a team comes in with a bunch of commodious toolboxes, BNPs, spools, etc., there's not much to be done for that by anyone, and that doesn't seem like it would be fun for the survs, but it'll happen.
Now if you're newer to the game and don't have access to all the perks on your favorite killers because of the god forsaken grind, that's a tough spot.
Not everyone wants to or can be bothered to play the 3 gen game that you should never win as killer anyway.
-
A 3 gen is a 3 gen. It doesn't matter if there is still 5 to do or there are only 3 left if the killer is focusing on that particular area you are already playing the 3 gen game.
Do people not get this? Do they really think its always the other guys fault for taking the free points on gens the killer refuses to patrol?
-
@sizzlingmario4 said:
Because it's better than nothing at all.
Now they just need to address the other part of what is actually wrong with COH and boons as a whole. If they did that the healing speed would probably be fine.
Their reluctance to give boons different conditions like hex perks have makes me believe they are just copy pasting the same line of code with a tweak for the different conditions.
To much effort to change it i guess, so they just keep hitting the heal speed and hope people shut up.
-
Not all of us are blind.
-
There is a killer called sadako in this game? huh.. didn't know
-
What rock have you been living under? It has been complained about since its release.
The only thing that changed is they "fixed" the perk so you don't get exhausted on the ground and even more people started to run it making it all the more annoying to go against. Then everyone figured out you can use it for distance and when and where to use it making it even doubly annoying to go against.
TLDR. Survivors got good and mastered the perk after bhvr "fixed" it
-
@HaunterofShadows said:
Except for BOON TOTEMS DON’T NEED A NERF! COH was a problem but it isn't anymore. Boons are not problems and none of the perks in that category are problems.
It still is. It might die down like DS initially did and now it is as popular as ever again.
-
Yep.. forcing a survivor to the wrong side of a pallet, only for them to still make it to the next one because of a button press is totally a skill issue.
-
It looks like they want to keep boons a simple on or off thing to keep the coding simple. You know.. less work and effort for them.

Shhhh.. there are people calling for medkit nerfs. The last real good item survivors have left.
They were calling for medkit nerfs before this stupid perk came into the game anyway. Even OTZ said they were overtuned which made the fact they thought COH was fine even more mind boggling.
-
@mynameisBlade said:
Let's all be honest. The real issue is how powerful Med-Kits are. Just reduce the charges on all of them ALONG with this CoH nerf and we'll be off to the races.
Medkits were a problem, but at least they had counters. You could deplete them or use franklins. The only counter to coh is to kill the one using it.

DBD Twitter is like the polar opposite of the DBD Forums. "I've never touched survivor a day in my life yet I'm an expert" to "I've never touched killer a day in my life yet I'm an expert".
That should help
OH god... I read the comments after i saw this and one of them is (paraphrasing) "I don't see the problem. You can just snuff it as killer and move on. It gives me longer matches but i don't see the point when killers move faster than survivor?"
yes.. totally plays killer >.>
