I always knew nurse was the slowest killer in the game! You really feel it playing basekit nurse on mothers dwelling.
-
I ran into a guy with a lvl 1 steam account and under 100 hours in the game that had a maxed meta perk loadout and never missed a dead hard, even if it made them face plant a wall.
I got suspicious and would teleport right on them but not swing. But they would never use it until i actually attacked...

And she isn't just hard, you literally can't play her like a normal Killer. Even if you suck at Blight, you can still M1. You can't do that at all with Nurse.
HUH! wiggle wiggle wiggle. hoooooo look up screach shhhhhhhhhhhhhh HUH! wiggle wiggle wiggle
What do you mean she is sickening? Her screen is perfectly stable and doesn't move around all the time. Also the sounds don't get annoying at all.
-
Nurse is only limited by the player and puts the mindgames on the survivor.
Basekit blight is fine. Blight with addons and exploits is almost nurse level.

This is what really annoys me about DBD opinions. Killers get mad at people wanting to have fun with friends cause Solo Cue is miserable to play a lot of the time. You guys get so mad at meta when you use meta yourselves.
Yeah, killers are totally angry at people wanting to have fun with "friends" they met on steam and not the trash tier balance that ignored it for 6 years and the advantage you get in a game designed around 4 clueless solo players.
Nah.. its just plain jealousy that you have friends and they don't. That must be it.

well.. they did just look at the stats. They just got bombarded with complaints after they said on stream that it was fine because the object user dies...

Matchmaking is really the only thing to blame here. I play with friends sometimes and we still get crushed. 4-man SWFs that consistently demolish killers should be matched with super strong killers. Also, survivors play sweaty in response to killers playing sweaty, and vice versa, so you can't really blame one or the other. The problem is if we want a chill game, and don't sweat, matchmaking will still put us with sweaty players because matchmaking is broken af.
Then they complain they only get matched with the same killers and threaten to stop spending money. Why do you think they value time over fairness with matchmaking and still do with all the tests?

The reason gideon has so many pallets is due to the absence of loops, the only thing the survivor can do is knock down pallets.
But I agree that there are many pallets, much more than necessary. they need to take some off or make some less safe.
the old gideon was fine, i don't know how it got to this state.
If they put window loops in they will be equally insufferable and something they run to every single time to get 3 loops out of it. Just look at groaning storehouse.

Just play killer. I hear its the easy role these days after all the survivor nerfs so why is it a big deal?

Remove all killer regression perks but pop, and all killers will use pop. The problem is not dh. Killers have a lot of regression perks, and survs only get trash perks in years
What makes a good perk for survivor?
If it has the potential to undo a mistake - op
If it literally gives you third health state like old MOM - op
Then we have the special category of boons. COH lets you bring full meta while only one guy needs COH for the entire team to heal themselves. This was already becoming an issue after the medkit buff, but at least killers had franklins and they were limited.
Give me a survivor perk that doesn't fill these categories. i will start.
Breakout. You can save your team mate from the hook but it requires teamwork. Yes, that nasty word that makes survivor perks deemed "bad"

Swf adds an advantage on survivors, no doubt on that. However, disabling swf would just mean a lot of the player base will quit dbd, because they will look for another game to play with their friends, and it's always more fun to play with friends! This is why I think the game should balance the game considering survivor can communicate, and also add communications between soloq like they proposed in their last survey. Also I agree that many killers would dodge swf lobbys more frequently if its clearly showed to them at the current state of the game.
I am aware why it is in the game. The problem is they didn't develop the game with swf in mind after adding it.
Solo should have been buffed years ago at a base level and killers buffed or at least not nerfed to compensate. But nah.. they ignored it and focused on the kill stats with a weak solo game present to boost them.
Just look at pinhead. Weak vs swf who can keep the box solved vs solo players who will pick it up next to the killer or ignore it until everyone is being chained. They nerfed him quick smart when they shouldn't have.

Yep, it is a skill issue on the Killers part. Killer players just cannot accept that they are not as good as they think they are.
If someone wants to remove SWF (as an example), this shows that they are a bad player. Giving penalties to SWFs as well.
But I cannot really blame them, giving the fact that some of the biggest and vocal Content Creators are the same and basically role models when it comes to complaining.
🙄 you do you i guess.

Sure, tunneling helps but having to tunnel 24/7 to win isn't fun.
(and then of course there are the cheaters, the awfully big maps, the silly auto-miss, ...)
I can't stand when the "non aim assist" aim assist forces you into a corner or window frame... Feels so unfair.

This has nothing to do with my post.
But nah, I dont need someone to tell me if a Killer has Tinkerer. Killers are not completely silent even if they are Undetectable. And I am always aware when a Gen reaches around 70%.
You say its a skill issue on the killers part. The problem is that SWF is EZ mode for survivors and nullifies the skill of the killer. A killers skill doesn't come from how well he can mindgame one survivor in a chase and down them. It comes from their ability to keep survivors occupied and off the gens through macro gameplay.
If you can just tell each other what to do and when, then it removes that if your team is skilled enough, and not just poop talking all game with music going.

If Killers would accept that they do mistakes instead of blaming SWFs for every loss, they would not have a reason to dodge, just saying that.
Tell that to the survivor who ran away early after i peeled off their friend to ambush them in a jungle gym because tinkerer went off.
I guess that mystical free info they got was a skill issue on my part? Perhaps it is more skilful to just tunnel the guy i was on and just sit at the hook with bubba until he died instead.

Probably changed nothing to see if it is psychological. The first day was obvious that something changed. The days after though.. not really.
The last test was awful for killer in the morning but not as bad at night. This is how it normally is for me at least and was similar to the other tests that i did take note of.
I will say my survivor team mates were not as bad as they normally are on some days. But that could also be luck.

By far my biggest gripe about MMR is this: what was the killer's MMR vs the survivor's MMR? Was this a good match or a bad match in terms of MMR? We have no way of knowing. All we can do when a match like this happens is say "Hey, this sucked" in general terms. It's such a bizarre thing to be stubborn about. The lack of transparency is only pissing people off and it's getting worse as time goes on. They system isn't going to go the way of the original vision. It's not going to happen. They can accept that players want certain things out of it or continue to hide the system behind smoke and mirrors while losing players.
b-but we need to protect the snow flakes who are offended that they have a low mmr 😢
Imagine the twitter rage if they find out they are not at the 2000 cap.

I dont know what you read there, but i didnt say anything in that regard. Killer always go the easiest way. Thats why they always blame others and never recognize their own mistakes nor their lack of skill. This game without SWF is dead for sure.
Perhaps they want to play in a fun way that doesn't involve hanging around the hook and chasing the same two survivors until its a 3v1.
-
I miss the old system. Doing things beyond generators would reward you and escaping was just a bonus instead of the goal. Now you get punished if you try to help and end up being camped by a bubba for it.
People say that you can't see mmr so it doesn't matter. The thing is you can see it. You can see it in your team mates if you play solo.
-
It didn't change the meta. It changed 1/16 perks and boosted them while killing an entire playstyle. It still does because nothing has changed.

So you realize if you want it to be like hexes, you will have to take the 14 seconds to snuff it. 14 seconds of uninterrupted Gen times for the survivors. 14 seconds per boon as well.
Who said it should be like a hex?
Give it a smaller radius or none at all. Make the survivor touch the totem to heal
Let the killer break the totem
Give it 3 uses before the perk goes dead.
Give it a time limit
There is allot that can be done to make the perk less of a problem, but they just keep hitting the speed.

I honestly don’t know how people come here so often, this is by far the most depressing forums I’ve ever seen in any game I’ve went to forums on. I have a list of killers pulled up to make sure I don't miss one.
Wraith- fun, interactive chases, wish I saw him more but COH neutered that, would like him to regain his Super Lunge. Usually helps that I have a flashlight 9/10 games.
Billy- It's Billy.
Bubba- Ah, my FAVOURITE map bro
Demo- Is dog, good boy
Pyramid Head- Most Pyramid Head players are not good, and as such will play in a very obvious and telegraphed way that I had to bully out of myself within the first 50 matches less I never unlearn- zoning, and never actually using your power until you see an animation lock. Do you know how much distance you can gain just by holding W, knowing the killer won't ever shoot? I've lost count of the amount of people I've hit at this point just using my power straight forward because people do not expect it. I can read you like a book and I will force you into using your ability outside of animation locks to win the game if it's the last thing I do (which it normally is, as I'm then hardcore tunneled).
Sadako- She gives me 2017/2018 DBD vibes and that gives me happy thoughts.
And when i do they they just walk out of it 🙄

@dugman said:
I can't speak to how good or bad Otz is with Sadako, but if you actually want to watch someone who is really good with her I recommend
RedsGamingGears . He's been putting on a clinic with her all this month. I don't know what his kill rate is exactly but it seems quite high and he is definitely taking better advantage of her abilities than most of the other streamers I've seen. He even gets Condemned kills against otherwise good survivors not infrequently simply by virtue of how much pressure he can exert with her. (He tends to use a lot of slugging and constant map wide pressure with her. So the first part of the match is usually a lot of downs and breaking of pallets but few hooks, followed by eventually hooking one specific survivor three times in a row to eliminate them and then cleaning up the rest since all the pallets are gone by that point.)
yeah...................... the first minute of that video tell me everything i need to know about the survivors he gets.
Lucky guy.

@Lochnload_exe said:
If I'm being honest, just making it so tvs have no cooldown when used by Sadako would make her miles better, and also greatly reduce the time tvs are turned off when interacted with by survivors. Condemn definitely needs work, but her tvs feel like such a weird ability. "So she doesn't have any chase whatsoever but the tradeoff is she has great map pressure...that has loud directional audio, long cooldowns, and can be stopped by survivors with very little effort."
I don't get why it was done, were they scared she'd be too strong? Even if the TV's couldn't be turned off and had 0 cooldown, she would still barely have the same map presence as like blight and wraith and that still doesn't mean her chase would be improved.
I don't mind tv's turning off. But the cooldown needs to be way lower like 20 seconds and they always need to face the nearest generator and be in the same damn room on indoor maps.
-
The ptb showed you why. They needed it for an addon idea so kept it in the game lol.

Come on man, the uni student they payed on fiver did a decent 2 hours of work on them sick beats. It would be a shame if they couldn't blast them into your ears and make you want to mute the game once you get over it.

Self Care is often complained about on the survivor side. Of course, if you use it right, it's a decent perk, but nothing too great. I think it would be a shame if the only new survivor perk this entire year that entered the meta would fall out of the meta.
You also need to bless a totem for CoH. So for your first heal, you are spending 46 seconds doing nothing else. I'm positive barely anyone would still use CoH if it didn't increase healing speed at all.
Not to mention, with Self Care, you can heal anywhere. Meanwhile, with CoH, you would have to spend time running to the boon totem's radius, and if the killer is there, you probably won't be able to heal.
So yeah, I believe having CoH just be a Self Care for anyone would completely wreck the perk.
It needs at least a 33% bonus to healing speed in my opinion, the same as Botany Knowledge. Self Care would then take 24 seconds and two survivors healing would take 12. But I think for now we should wait and see how 50% healing speed is.
Anything worthy of taking a spot in an already busted meta will also be busted. The best part is you only need one while the other 3 can run the old busted perks.

Otz actually gave good feedback on how to change it.
Legacycolt has the entire idea wrong. Ignore them.
those who acknowledge its a problem and give valid and constructive feedback on how to fix it, or just say they simply don't like it are 100% fine.
It's those who go "delete it" "everyone who uses DH is bad, its a crutch" "DH users should be killed IRL" who are the problematic players.
If they were bad survivors then dh wouldn't be a problem lol.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
I'm not doubting, but why does everyone claim to be at "mid-high levels"?
By how the survivors play and the % of SWF you go against.
A low tier survivor doesn't look at you while they run
A medium tier survivor doesn't know the safe points on every tile and where to wait to see exactly what the killer is doing.
A high tier survivor just doesn't fall for mindgames, uses miss direction effectively, runs DH, and usually has a 4 stack ready to rotate body blocks if they feel the killer is weak enough to abuse it. OH yeah.. and one COH every game within 30 seconds of the start.
-
@legacycolt said:
The worst thing in this forum is the dead hard complains. I play killer too and I don’t have a problem with this perk. If you complain about it, you just expose yourself to be a bad killer, that’s it. Practicing helps.

Bots in game, im not looking forward to. They can't even get zombie AI to function right and get proper pathing, theres no way they can fully code a killer to be worth facing in case of a DC, nor a survivor.
They can just rip it from dbd mobile like the cheaters did.
-
The real shocker is that it took this long and messing with mmr to give you survivors like this.
-
Wow.. people are finally noticing this? what the hell did you get as survivors before this test?
Fast gens are normal for some people. It doesn't matter how fast your chases are if the maps are big enough and the survivors are efficient.
Remember, 2 survivors do a gen in 47 seconds while the third is working on their own. If they just constantly rotate like this then they can pop 1 gen per hook minimum.

@StarLost said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/317571/dont-let-bias-effect-game-balance
Sure. But there is a reason for that bias - and that reason generally comes down to 'feel'. Feel can be as importance as balance sometimes.
DH 'feels' bad, because it'll often completely deny you hits that you earned.
CoH 'feels' bad, because you can site it in places where it's time consuming to snuff and covers 2/3 of a map (RPD library, Eyrie main structure etc.).
Trickster isn't a strong killer but feels annoying as hell to play against (ditto Doctor).
This can also work the other way. Twins are a decent killer but feel horrible to play.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2886427#Comment_2886427
I think that where a lot of bad blood comes from is when something gets nerfed in a way that doesn't simply 'balance' it, but removes a lot of the fun and variety from that thing. Freddy would be my best example - he went from probably too strong (but really fun) to feeling awful and being very mediocre. His addons now, for the most part, may as well not even exist.
People look at things like this and go 'well, I need to be as vocal as I can be to prevent any nerfs, because if that thing that I love gets nerfed, it's going to go too far, and hit it right in the fun'. And feedback turns into a nest of whataboutisms and twisty justifications.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2886411#Comment_2886411
Mm. I'm going out of my way for a while to play a lot of survivor. I'm curious as to whether this will change my opinion on anything - I will say that man oh man that camping change needs to happen ASAP.
Make sure you play as a 4 stack.
Solo is awful and partly becuse all the "good" survivors are in a swf of some kind. This leaves derankers, challenge / daily doers and people practicing looping or something without being focused on winning.
-
@AetherBytes said:
Just remove distance from the perk and add more iframes (can't vault/pallet during them like normal DH) to compensate
Or how about just remove the distance and leave it at that. It does not need any buffs to compensate.
The point of the nerf is to make the others more of an option and not keep DH as the staple.
