mmr doesn't degrade.
-
Don't finish the rift. Miss out on content to break the fomo cycle and help dump this game for good.

Kind of sad when a ttv is more willing to play a minigame between games then they are to play killer.
They don't want to get a taste of their own medicine and wind up contradicting things they complain about on survivor.
-
The more you lose the worse your team mates are as survivor.

What is going on in these people’s minds to bully others over a game?
It's how the game is built that promotes this kind of thing.

She makes very clear sounds and has a lullaby.

The perk that tells you that you are exposed and nobody ever gets hit by it if they use their brain?
Nope.

Give Killers an option to opt out of swfs.
You can play with your friends all you want, doesn't mean i want to.
And before i get the this will kill swfs arguement, think why killer's dont want to verse swfs, and then think of a way to encourage killers to want to verse it.
Shhh. You will give them a headache from thinking about it before they default to "Punish us because we have friends" response. Or "you just want ez 4k's" without seeing the irony of that statement.

I agree with that and I do see the problem, but nonetheless - I believe that if you balance the game around the tier players it will be more devastating for newer players.
If the game was "bigger" you could make an argument for ranked and casual game modes.
No. You balance around the top 30% and let sbmm do the balance work. That's what it's for... To put good against good and bad against bad. Then when the bad get good and figure out what to do they still have a decent game to play instead of an unbalanced mess.
-
wow...

If you want bhvr to see anything you need to post it on Twitter where they live. The forums are filtered by the community mod.

Because the balance dev has perfectly measured out each loop and distance between each loop so survivors always just make it.

I already feel they're overrated. So I honestly don't care what they do with boons.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2863488#Comment_2863488
No, because every killer will just dodge swf's. Que times would become an absolute nightmare. They need to close the swf/solo gap and buff killers accordingly.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2863686#Comment_2863686
That is more than a little over dramatic. The perk itself isn't the issue. The way it interacts with swf's is.
Nope. the perk is an issue.

The perk isn't even 6 months old. It's going to take time to find a way to balance it without making it utter garbage.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2863235#Comment_2863235
There's been tons of suggestions, but realistically every suggestion I've seen would render it so worthless it may as well be deleted.
It shouldn't be in the game, that's why. Why should a team wide heal perk that costs 1/16 perk slots, be better than every other self heal perk in the game?
Gut it or change it to do something else. It has ruined the game.

I don’t.
I want them to try and balance around as many players as possible. Like they are trying to.
You can't... and that's why this game usually has a wait time for survivor que vs killers getting instant lobbies. Anything you add to help the bad players is abused by the experienced players.

People complained after the ptb where boons were introduced. The devs nerfed them pre launch. They complained after launch. They nerfed CoH again saying that it might be nerfed more if needed. So what is sad exactly?
They've listened to the complaints and adjusted the perk. Not in the way some people want, but they have been working on it. To me the perk is entirely overrated and only becomes an issue when you have a 4 man swf.
The dev's know what it needs but don't want to do it for some reason. There are countless threads across all forums about how strong it is and how to nerf it.. or just delete it entirely. There are many youtube videos explaining how powerful it is and they got plenty of feedback during the ptb.
They ignored it all.
It is a large contributor to the decline in the playerbase.

Lullaby removed, Shorter cooldown on tv's, sound que that she is manifesting and demanifesting removed, tv's always face the nearest gen and do not spawn on the other side of a wall.
On the fence bout condemned building faster, but they could make it harder to remove or impossible to use a tape if sadako is hitting you at the tv....
-
@jesterkind said:
Not much- she's generally pretty good, she just requires a little more from the player than a killer with a more direct chase power. From my perspective, the main problem right now is her TV cooldowns; they're both a little too long, and imo they're in the wrong order. Survivors turning the TV off should be the longer cooldown so they're more incentivised to do it, and so the Condemned mechanic is spread around a little more.
With that she's genuinely pretty solid. Not top tier, but that's okay.
Can i have your survivors? mine seem to be obsessed with turning them off and leaving me as a powerless killer.
-
Anyone going to break it to op?

Here's one on an, admittedly favorable map. I think it is a good indicator on why if they buff Sadako, it probably won't be to her condemned, at least not directly. Also I don't know that everyone on here was amazing, and excuse the absolute no editing, the gameplay starts at about 4:48.
I can upload more, but my phone can't handle multiple for some reason.
No COH
No medkits
Survivors faceplanting you at tv's and hanging around for literally no reason.
Why did they even let themselves get past 4 stacks of condemned?
Nobody does these things in my games... I spend most of the game without anything to teleport to because they keep turning them off.
You had everything in that match that i said isn't a good example.

By your logic we should balance the game around tournaments? Smart. Balance around 1% of your player base.
Your second point is exactly my point in an earlier post. A skilled Wraith or Clown are most likely not going to win vs a team of skilled survivors. A newer Wraith or Clown can easily win vs a team of new survivors.
Then why do you want them to balance around new players?

Tourneys are not a good example in general because they have their own scoring/win conditions that differ from the "official" win condition from mmr.
Also, yes - they can. If we take a tourney as an example:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9Q4eTJOOFg - first match from swish's tourney starting at 9:11, Wraith 4k'ed
Oh wow.. even for tournament standards that seemed quite restricted to favour the killer as much as possible. No COH, no Dead Hard, no items. Did they ban all meta perks or something?

It gets people to talk & link said talk back to him. One of his main shticks on YouTube is clickbait, and across all media finding different ways to up his engagement numbers. Or at least, try to. As far as I'm concerned his channels haven't really grown all too much. Certainly not like those around him. And while I actually do like his content and can see his abilities as a player, I can't help but notice the stark contrast between Dowsey the streamer and Dowsey the million jump cuts every video YouTuber.
Unwarranted character assassination aside, Sadako's ability to teleport at will is strong. It's just that at the end of the day everything else about her is weak, and teleporting is largely up to the survivors to allow. Doesn't help that the meta perks & certain maps & TV spawns just completely shaft her potential.
9.99/10 they are facing away from the gens making bloody fingernail useless.

That's rich, you lose more games with Sadako than I do and can't fathom proxy camping and why it's necessary at times, but I must be in low MMR 🙄 5 Year player btw
Congratulations! got some gameplay?
I would actually legitimately like to watch some good gameplay that doesn't show survivors running face first into a tv sadaco teleports to like they are listening to music. Or sit on a gen and not run away until she is ontop of them, giving a free hit. Or a distinct lack of COH or a survivor that just puts it next to the gen they are working on.

The “zone defense isn’t fair” mentality is strong here.
Just call a spade a spade.... I defend killers more then most. Just look at my post history. I understand why they are doing it and know it is required in most cases because the survivors objective is a fraction of the killers to complete.

Right, so now if you actively chase another survivor but go and do a hook trade afterward you’re “camping”. Got it.
Well yeah... I have seen killers hit survivors and walk back 2,3 ,4 times until the survivor hits second stage and then they might commit to a chase.
The hag mentality in this thread is amazing. "I'm not camping! I just put 5 traps around the hook and one under the hook while checking for crouching survivors from a distance. But i'm not camping because i walked away right?"

Wait, so what's your point about camping? That you shouldn't do it? Because that's what makes killers like Twins actually good (well before COH existed). And in this case it's just proxy camping which every good killer does anyway. You can't disqualify her just because you don't like camping, and to suggest it has no effect on her ability to play? Can we stop being disingenuous for a second and look at the active tools please?
And if you get a hit in between the time it takes you to get back to the hook? You're getting extra value you wouldn't have without that power.
I can go on and on, but I'm actively playing this killer for the last two weeks, and I play every killer (subtract Trickster). Based on my game time, I can't call her weak, I'm sorry that's what you want me to say, but I'm not going to. She's definitely not in the bottom of killers, she's probably THE BEST STEALTH killer right now, and she's actively fun to play. Idk what to tell you, boss
Keep playing, you will get there eventually.

I would rather they got rid of camping and the hook timer in general by making hooks like pyramid head cages. They would need to put in a days work and actually balance the game before they did that but yeah...
I hate it and i hate the current state of the game in general.

At this point, about half the Forums thinks she's terrible just because she's not anti-loop.
I still think she's around mid B at worst, but my disagreement aside, there are absolutely multiple things you can do to sure up your Sadako Gameplay.
1. Use perks that work with her kit. BBQ is a great choice for info, but I wouldn't run Franklin's unless there is absolutely an item you want out of the game, as it can end up just being a wasted slot otherwise. NOED isn't ever really the worst perk you could pick, but it relies on you doing poorly during the active game mostly, which if you are getting in your early hits and hooks, shouldn't even be an issue, depending on perks.
Any passive slowdown on her is good, but slowdowns that give to info are best, like Pain resonance or DMS (or both). Now you slowed or hit the most active gen, and the only counterplay (letting go of gen before hook) is soft-countered by the fact you can just travel to that gen immediately and make it lock for 30 seconds.
I'd also use a chase/utility perk with her. Maybe STBFL or even possibly forced penance of you're facing a SWF (having instant, sneaky access to the map and survivors can't heal for almost as long as a TV is down is just powerful, even if you can't use her healing condemned add-on with it.
2. Trust your instincts. If you have a hook, you chase a survivor somewhere else and get a hit on them, you can TP back immediately and catch the unhooker off guard right now before he even makes it to the hook and either force him away or grab/hook trade.
What can the survivors do about that? Guess where your TV is, hunt it down before grabbing the survivor at the hook, and pray there isn't a second one about 20 meters away, out of LOS? Not to mention when you see a TV go off, you start to just know where people are and where to rush to defend. Also if you can see an angle a survivor is running at and think you can at the very least get condemned stacks on them? Go for it, you will be surprised how much you can get around someone because unfortunately people can't see everywhere all at once, from above or below. I wouldn't call Condemned 100% negligible either, I get a few condemned kills a day, and probably force it more often than I ever could on someone like say, pig
3. Demanifest often, at all given opportunities. It doesn't matter if you think they'll hear or see you, play the game as if you are blissfully unaware of your "lullaby" because it is honestly barely there and if anything , I'd argue her unique visuals would give her away more than anything, but regardless I am almost always able to get a quick early hit on survivors, and it works surprisingly well at most tall loops. Of course don't waste too much time at loops where you can easily be seen, but there are points where you can use her power to force bad reactions similarly to old spirit, albeit less powerful (OP as many survivor players found it) than spirits.
Could she maybe use a buff? Yes, I can see where she can at least be adjusted slightly, but she is not a bad killer just because she doesn't have a gun or Shred. But she is definitely a capable killer, and I get far more 3-4K's with her than 0-1K's. I don't want them all, but I still win most, and I know I've had games some survivors would call BS on (but everyone thinks she's so weak so I don't get hatemail for mori'ing at 0-1 gen completed.
Just because you walked away from the hook doesn't mean you are not camping if you have full intentions of counting to 10 and teleporting back to get whoever is saving.
2, is not a solution

My point matters because there is no correct or 100% objective answers to the question "Which side is the strongest?". I think all these threads pretty much shows that.
You don't think tournaments are evidence?
You really think a clown or wraith is going to win against equally skilled survivors?
-
There isn't anything you can do other than hope the survivors are bad. She is a bottom tier basic m1 killer with no redeemable qualities.
Oh, but she can teleport!... If the survivors don't turn off your tv's
Oh but they risk condemned!... what are you smoking and where can i get some?
Oh, but she has stealth!.. Does she? I always knew she was on her way when i played against her.

Well - the game is not only high mmr though is it? Do you believe streamers accounts for the largest part of this community? In that case - look at Otz 😂
Why does that matter ? The interesting thing about human beings is they have the ability to learn and get better. mmr is in the game to sort the good killers and keep them away from bad survivors, giving them a chance to learn the game and improve. It does the balancing for you!
So sick of people bringing up the terrible argument That bad people are bad and that the dev's should cater to them like they won't get better or there isn't a skill sorting system attempting to be added to the game.
You also don't need the finest decision making or skill set to win as survivor either.. you already have the numbers and resources. It all comes down to holding m1 on a gen or wasting time and getting your team killed.

Realistically, the leaver penalty only needs to be applied to survivors, since when a killer leaves the game ends. Plus they do it less.
It won't happen though because survs would complain they they can't torture an individual for funsies with their group without them being punished for protecting their sanity and leaving.
-
This is why Patricks statement of "wouldn't it be good if you could do all that, and escape too" is so horribly out of touch and wrong.
The lower your rank as a solo survivor the worse your team mates and less chance you have of escaping in this game.
I think scott jund mentioned it before he took a break for elden. He is stuck in low mmr and can't get out without swf.

Don't care. The way they did legacy pissed me off because they rewarded people who only played a couple of characters and sunk all their points into them while punishing people who spread their points out like you were supposed to do. People started questioning it and then it died down once they got use to it. It resurfaced during the wiggle buffs. I think there was a note in patch notes about "adjusting hook spawn logic" But i could be wrong.

I think hooks being permanently destroyed after sacrifice is an outdated mechanic. Removing that probably fixes most of the issues. Anything left over would be a map specific problem that needs to be addressed.
I just got midwich where the entire bottom_ ] area had zero hooks in it. If they went down in the middle i couldn't get to a hook because it counted the one in the courtyard as being in the hallway.
-
They reduced the number of hooks about 4 updates ago because survivors kept complaining about wiggle doing "nothing" even though it is only in the game to stop you going to the basement every time. They also probably did it in preparation for the wiggle buffs and boil over buff because somehow survivors need 30 second chances every game.
