Ask the developers. They are the ones breeding this toxicity with the way they balance the game. They even called mori's "toxic" in a live stream but keys were just fun..

Map design and sbmm need addressing the most imo. You can balance killers/perks all you want but if maps like badham and haddonfield still exist nothing will change. As for SBMM I think it’s time to cut their losses and just return to eblems while improving them instead
Emblems sucked because the lower you were the easier it was to gain a pip. If they just kept rank 1 requirements across the board then it would have done a better job.

We don't know if it is a bug. I'm not willing to go down the what if lane without BHVR actually addressing this issue.
If it isn't then it's meant to be that way.
They acknowledged it in a bug report so yes.. its a "bug" or a test disguised as a bug to mitigate the rage..

None. I want something to use my shards on and in house killers are normally better.

One that cares for it's employees. Which I have to begrudgingly respect them for, even if it leads to situations like this.
Gotta love content creators knowing this and purposefully releasing a video to their massive audience which then gets spread further on a weekend.
Having the weekend off is great, but they should really push them harder during the week so we get more then a +1% change to 2 perks and call it a day every 3 months.
Smaller companies would have changed every perk that needs it by now.

I've been to Midwich as survivor a whole lot recently, but do you see me complaining?
If there is a realm that favors killers, there's also one for survivors. You can't have the cake and eat it too. Either kill switch both or don't killswitch at all.
What is bugged on Midwich? Badham has a bug that opened up an infinite.

Not true, Sadako has unrestricted map mobility, stealth, and game slowdown. Legion... stabs people... and then chases them like an M1 killer, unless the Legion has Franks Mixtape + Stab Wound Study, then downing people is gonna be a pain.
100 seconds downtime is quite restrictive.
-
The best part is they refuse to remove perk tiers because "it isn't a long term solution" and then offer nothing else... nothing... nada. Just silence.

The Dead Dawg infinite wasn't detrimental to survivors and they still disabled that back when that was a thing.
Wasn't there also an uncleansable totem?
-
Looks normal to me tbh, and i usually play nurse without addons.
I tried it today and did not notice any speed up.
I should be over blinking because i never use range addons but i am not. Smells more like a nerf attempt to me.
-
The last thread didn't even get a reply from a CM so good luck. They are ignoring this like they ignored colour blind settings until it got coverage outside of the community.
-
Meanwhile, every time i face a nemesis they get insane value from their zombies 😡
It pissed me off enough to give him a go and i got nothing but useless zombies stuck at the edge of the map against some random rock or tree. If you take the time to kill them they just spawn in the same place and do it again!

Also we dont see our MMR displayed, we may think we are at the top but that certainly may jot be the case, so judging her off your games seems a bit unfair
Depends.
If survivors backtrack into you because you stood at the end of an LT wall and hid your stain instead of running away, then you are medium to low mmr. If they run away every time and can max out the shack on you then you are at least on the 2000 cap where you can get anything from a basic cookie cutter 4 man meta squad to comp players.
-
Lead dev has chosen to kill the game for some weird reason.
Refuses to fix or remove sbmm
Refuses to remove coh
Ego is too massive to admit being wrong about something because the DaTa of kills and escapes shows they are correct even though there are plenty of videos showing kills does not = skill.
-
Perk grind prevents new players and the balance team removes old players.

Wake Up! wasn't changed as far as we know and yet it suddenly got a new gamebreaking bug lol
Saw someone say it was because they nerfed artist. She can't bird the doors any more and shooting them at the doors hits an invisible barrier. I have not confirmed this.

you want the devs to continue ignoring flashlight clicking and the problems it creates?

There isn't anything left. We have shooting, leaping, w holding, Teleporting, and fast runny boys. All that is left to be original is flying and being disguised as a survivor and neither of these will work in dbd thanks to coms and the way the game works.
Everything else is a variation of something that already exists.

I agree.
I honestly think people are just playing her wrong. She has an insane amount of map pressure.
I had a player yesterday that was chasing me one second and the next downing someone on the other side of the map.
She basically has something that other M1 killers don’t.
And then you get survivors that turn your tv's off... Now you get to walk there.

Maybe you need to play a bit more with her if you're doing that bad? I probably don't have the highest MMR, but I've been getting some decent teams and I've done pretty good so far.
I just gloss over the games where survivors don't react to the tv teleport and don't notice me walking directly at them and then run into me when i teleport out of a tv again... I guess they are listening to music or something because her teleport is loud and directional.

No, I mean stuff like Doctor and Bubba changes, which were straight buffs. But also yeah, addons have also seen buffs (and nerfs).
They do listen. They don’t blindly implement everything that’s been thrown at them, but they do listen and often implement changes based on community feedback (not only survivors)
and I agree that map and loop designs can be extremely problematic. When did they say it was too much work to fix those though? Gotta request a source on that.
also that 50% kill narrative is something used by the community way out of the context. And if you have paid attention, the Killrates are higher than 50% anyways, even when only looking at matches with experienced players.
Doc is still meh.. It was a buff but he is still irrelevant. Bubba was good, but i can't see it lasting to much longer with all the complaints and bhvr's habit of nerfing commonly used addons like chilli and marks.
The game needs a massive baseline overhaul. The map dev needs to be retrained for one and they need to reduce the maximum size. Jungle gyms need to be redesigned so there is an actual mindgame and more variety.
God pallets just straight up need to be removed breakable walls gone and 3 gen window loops removed because everyone just runs to them and you can't remove them like a pallet.
Destroy camping by changing the hook system to a sacrifice station where the entity takes them to a random part of the map like pyramidhead cages and remove hook timers to make camping pointless.
Increase gen count to 6 or even 7 gens or add something else that must be done and is not detrimental to killers or beneficial to survivors, just another step towards opening the doors. Increase 2 man gen speed to 65 seconds and require 3 survivors for the 47 and 4 for the 36seconds.
Change sbmm to the pip system but DO NOT MAKE PIPS EASIER THE LOWER YOUR RANK. That was half the problem with the old pip system because you needed to do less the lower your rank was to pip.

@Mooks said:
OoO rework, DS nerf, Hatch and key reworks.
also there have been plenty of killer nerfs AND buffs
if you actually think they don’t listen at all then no matter what they do you won’t ever acknowledge anything they would do because there would be something you can complain about.
they are slow on getting changes and feedback done, that’s for sure. But saying they are ignoring killer complaints is just not true at all and you are leaving to room for discussion or constructive feedback.
Not to mention the fact that doing a generator nowadays has become literally pressing a single button and being able to make a coffee if you want since anyone can hit the skillchecks even blindfolded as it's ridiculously easy.
They literally didn’t change how gens are done at all, I think they even made is slightly longer with multiple survs and toolbox nerfs. Also remember that BNP used to instantly power a gen.
You mean when they nerf the used addons and buff the meaningless addons to still be meaningless? i guess you can technically call it a buff lol!
Then we have killers like Deathslinger.. Gutted his power but buffed his ads walk speed.. then nerfed the ads walk speed. and gave him nothing...
They don't listen. There are glaring issues with map and loop design and plenty of ways to fix the game but they are as they said.. "to much work" so they just bandaid everything and nerf killers to force this stupid 50% kills escape rate that is calculated by including day 1 survivors who will always die to a day 1 killer.
-
Bring COH, or tell your swf buddies to heal you?
-
To give survivors that know what m1 is more of a challenge? The other killers are balanced around survivors that do.. nothing, for some reason.
-
She is great between the pallets being shoved on her head and the 4 man outs.

Either.
DMS is wonderful on her, but not essential. Even without it, even decent players will have to let go and get rid of their birds, and then probably hide because you could easily be on your way to them.
These days I run PR + Agi + STBFL (works amazingly well on her) + BBQ (long range sniping). DMS is good, but I've found that sometimes it creates a 'dam' effect, where it stalls the gens out for a while, only to have 3 of them pop at the same time.
That build + survivors leaving gens says enough :|

I thought that initially, but as I've played her more (and watched a streamer do a streak on her)...she's still stronk. Her ability to shove people off gens from the entire map away and shut down loops is incredible. Definitely one of my strongest killers now, and really enjoyable to play.
With or without DMS?

Artist really made me hopeful regarding future designs. She's...so close to perfect, almost Plague level. Not too strong, not too weak, simple to understand but with an infinite skillcap. Plus her perks were the first real shake-up to the killer meta in ages.
Onryo makes me...the opposite.
Artist was clearly designed with bird mines as part of her kit, but they took that away leaving a slow and clunky husk.
-
Team wide healing at the cost of a single perk should always be worse per survivor than a self healing perk.
-
Why are gens so fast?
-
@AetherBytes said:
Its not about running away from killers, its about evading them, by losing them and not getting caught.
Issue is survivors will just W to the furthest corner of the map so you either can't chase them or can't protect gens, which eventually culminates into a lose lose situation where no matter what you do, survivors keep gaining time
Bingo.
Just W away from the gens being done while putting whatever you can between you and the killer and get downed as far away as you can. The killer just wasted at least 40 seconds hitting you twice and will take another 20-25 seconds to get back to the gens.
-
Remember, Weak killers are fine! just don't expect to see them much and enjoy blight and nurse for 50% of your games :)
-
The only time anyone ever click spins at me is when they are trying to Deadhard through me thinking i will actually swing instead of stand there and watch them faceplant into my chest....

Which they should, because theres without a doubt way more casual lower skill survivors than elite ones. Why do you have a problem with this? Video games aren't a job and most people don't want to devote endless hours of focus and practice to get better at something that is supposed to be entertainment and a distraction from the real world.
That's what mmr is for. Low tier survivors get low tier killers while people that are sentient get good killers. All they are doing by balancing for the rocks is creating a revolving door that will kill the game. Why bother playing when your mmr gets raised to the point that you can't do anything as killer because x mechanic is balanced for someone that doesn't know what m1 is?
-
@Hannacia said:
I like her. Shes not the strongest killer in the game but i like being sneaky and scaring people.
Didnt even try adept since on iri ranks i feel getting adept is harder than after rank reset so i'll try again then. Got condemn mori though!
I would say she is the new floor. Legion has more to offer.
-
Another blunder and more ammo for the survivor sided devs argument.
-
Just balance the game... Remove god pallets, make jungle gyms have an actual mindgame to them.
Increase gen time for 2 man gens to 65s instead of 47 so it requires more survivors for the speed boost.
Increase gen count by 1 so the killer has a bit more time to do things.
Get rid of COH Deadhard and NOED. Change the hook system so the entity drags the survivor off to a random hook but there is no hook timer so camping is pointless.
There are many things you can do. The problem is it requires people that can be bothered.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/312330/core-problem-of-condemned-meter
It is possible to use condemned effectively but only when using the ring drawing. It's nearly a mandatory add-on if you want any hope of getting a condemned kill in a match and it's very very unlikely to happen early in the match if at all even with the add-on.
I have yet to get a single survivor condemned. Tv's just respawn to slowly and survivors can remove it easily. I had one game where two survivors didn't even get a condemned ring for half the game because they just ignored tv's and i didn't manage to teleport near them.

I doubt that's the intention of BHVR, but in reality, I think they're just running out of ideas. Or, either they have good ideas but don't know how to implement them appropriately without creating a balancing havoc.
But I must say, I think trying to make a killer that solely relied on a now obsolete VHS tape as killer seemed pretty difficult to start with. Weird choice if you think about it.
Just make condemned an actual threat and require survivors to actively monitor it throughout the match. This gives her some actual 4v1 and stall time.

I mean I never saw a dev say "console is the intended way of blight" but you say that. Blight is intended to flick but as always controllers get held back because they refuse to add M&K support. Also I've seen plenty of console blights 180 but after the changes they did to fix heli blight it affected his flicks on console to be less effective. That on them for making that change.
That was the point of the change. They were trying to stop the 180 flicks but pc users keep finding ways to cheat the bad coding.

Sounds like you haven't bought the Artist DLC.
Is it because she's bland, her perks are all based on regression/blocking gens or there being too many perks that do the same thing but differently?
Killers wil take anything that delays gens.
Artist sucks. She is boring slow and clunky. Horrible for both sides.
the map is disgusting and they even buffed it.

"Eyes are too difficult to use"- This never really makes much sense. Sure, you can use your eyes to easily see the killer when in the open, but what about when you're not? A lot of times gens are located in places that make it very difficult to know when a stealth killer is approaching. I couldn't care less if they make Sadako completely silent, just sharing my thoughts.
That's the point of stealth though. Get people when they are in enclosed spaces and part of the reason stretched was so detrimental to stealth killers. People would still complain even if they were on a farm map or auto haven with a fully silent killer.
She should be silent and her tv teleport should not be directional. I wouldn't mind if she made a noise up close like Ghost face's flapping cloak, but a lullaby just makes the entire thing pointless.
I am sure you have snuck up on your fair share of survivors with ghost while they were out in the open or near a rock.
