Why We can not have Different Killer Speeds?

Nurse is okey with her speed. Huntress, Spirit etc. are okey because they have strong powers. M2 killers is good with 115% because they can play around loops. But what about stealth and m1 killers?

Would it so bad if Wraith, Trapper, Myers, Ghostface etc have different speed? 120% for example. This killers have nothing to stop loops. Trapper has traps but they are garbage most of times. Do you think that would be healthy or so op?

I think it's a great idea. Would help with getting around the map better and ending chases quicker for m1 killers with no anti loop. won't happen though sadly. 120% might be a tad much but I don't see an issue with trying 118% first and go up if needed.

120% was example but i think this killers should be faster than rest of all.

I like the idea. Man a 120% tier 3 myers chasing you now that's a threat!

  • Because the balance dev has perfectly measured out each loop and distance between each loop so survivors always just make it.

I would not mind maps like Midwich but most of maps are stupidly strong for survivors.

Myers and Trapper are joke at this game, i never seeing them as threat.

Oh great with the “devs are survivor sided” comments.

Don’t forget there are 110% speed killers too.

As far as having a killer that has a base speed of 120%, I’d be up for it. The devs would still probably want to give them ability they can activate with the power button but it probably would be less powerful than typical killer abilities since 120% speed is a pretty nice effect all on its own.

I actually mentioned 110% killers (Spirit, Huntress etc). Yeah having different type killers would be fun

I mean...it isn't the players making game balance the way it is.

  • Honestly I was always under the impression every killer is either 110 or 115 nurse being the exception because of haste perks

  • Theres better ways to make killers better. Movemebt speed is one of the strongest stats to modify in this game. It removes a lot of counterplay as it definitely cuts down chase time.

It'd feel like a cheap bandaid fix.

I'd rather have the devs put actial thought into M1 killer kits or map-changes. There are definitely more creative solutions than "now killer has plus x m/s ". Wrath and billy still have no secondary ability for example.

But taken the balance goals and the published stats, the game is still tilted in favor of killers.

The goal is 50% kills, 50% escapes, but most killers have higher kill rates, don´t they?

Well devs arent spirit sided so why do you care :^)

  • I'd like some 112% for like hag or death slinger.

120% is a scary as thought. Gf and pig should move 115% crouched.

Maybe 120% is so much, i did not think for numbers. But they should be faster than other killers.

I mean if you consider the up and down nature of MMR 1 match you get complete potatos, another match you get try hards, 1 match you get a team of survivors who literally throw and kill themselves on hook, another match you get a sweaty SSF. If you asked me from my own personal matches, I haven't had a 50/50 in months. Like an actual 2k, haven't seen it in literal months. Its either a complete 4k or a 1k/goose egg. Theres no middle ground in MMR.

  • Yes, but in the middle, it usually comes to a kill rate above 50% over all your games.

But the problem is, the devs are to focused on the outcome. You see that in their perspecive of the mmr. Only kills and escapes count, while the result is not what defines a game, much less an enjoyable or balanced one.

  • Even if they made it 120% well not in chase would be great for slow movers.

  • Please buff M1 killer's speed.

  • Instead of giving higher movement speed, I'd prefer it if they made the maps less survivor friendly.

Another safe loop is just a dead hard away.

  • I wouldn't mind if they went for MS for Killers

But i will still think that maps need to change (for the better)

  • Wraith definitely does not need increased speed. You think he should zoom when cloaked, zoom after uncloaking and then zoom when just walking too? If they did that they would have to reduce all of his other speeds.

In general, though, simply increasing the speed is a cheap bandaid fix.

  • Also Myers at 120% with the massive lunge, insta down and increased vaulting? No.

It's not a bad idea, but would futz with balance so much that it wouldn't probably take more effort than it's worth.

It isn't. It's just clear and obvious observation in game. How often do you break a pallet and get to the survivor before they reach the next one on a normal killer?

There is usually enough time to skip the first one and aim for the second pallet actually.

  • This is dubious, Survivors need to know what to expect - but it also revolutionizes how the game is designed on a level basis. It's better the way it is.
