I don't understand how boon perks haven't received simple changes

Start with 4 stacks, each time you boon a totem you loose a stack. When you hit 0 you can't boon any more. It's that easy, balances out coh perfectly. That or just make booning totems take longer. Boons arnt complicated and I don't see why they don't just get an easy fix. Everyone is trying to get to complicated with the perks when all that needs to be done is a simple nerf like a maximum use or increased time to boon.

  • I think the boon system will stay the way it is, seems it’s working as intended according to the devs. If they’re gonna give boons tokens or whatever, than those perks might need buffs to compensate.

  • Except for BOON TOTEMS DON’T NEED A NERF! COH was a problem but it isn't anymore. Boons are not problems and none of the perks in that category are problems.

It still is. It might die down like DS initially did and now it is as popular as ever again.

  • I keep meaning to make a longer post about this, but it's a complicated balance issue that presents itself at a higher level when every survivor has the ability to self-heal. The time healing speed isn't really the problem. It's a spacing issue. You create a stalemate or a slow game of attrition when you have a boon on one side of the map and a 3 or 4 gen on the other side.

The killer can't snuff the boon without throwing the game, nor can they commit to a chase on the boon side without throwing the game. The survivors can hold W and heal at the boon until one side gets bored. The healing speed isn't the issue. It's that every survivor can do this infinitely.

Exactly, and that's why I proposed a token system
