I think that using Object of Obsession would be really pissing the killers off. It is a deadaway perk againts Trapper,Hag,Ghostface,Myers and any killer that requires stealth and suprise attacks. If you really wanna piss killers use OOO .
I've tried that. It just tends to get me killed faster.

The basement would be fine if it wasn't also possible to camp it. When you combine basement with camping you just have a recipe for boredom.
I mean... Killers tend to camp any hook. Doesn't matter where. It's not just the basement. The basement just makes it easier to camp. But I think I get your point.

I mean, there is an advantage to it. Sometimes people put in their strategies or if they're doing a challenge, that way you can be aware of their motivations.
Just seems creepy and stalkerish if you ask me...

Id rather just move onto the next match where I can actually play the game tbh

In that case, then there should be an option to go to an exit gate as a ghost and just leave without getting any extra points.

You should try bringing Decisive Strike, it's a good anti-tunnel perk.
It isn't. It doesn't stop tunneling in the slightest. They'll still go right back to you after 5 seconds. It doesn't just make them not tunnel. It never did.

They promote it by saying it's not bannable since they consider ruining someone's match a "strategy". Giving this reason because someone is bound to ask.
Your opponents are not trying to ruin your trial, they're trying to win. Your enjoyment doesn't factor into the equation in any way, it never has in any game.
Last 8 games say otherwise when I get immediately downed off the hook before being able to move 5ft. Then, after death, see that the killer doesn't do the same thing to the other survivors. If that's not singling me out, idk what is.
-
100% Perfection!
My favorite easily being the immunity increase to lights as it's a good change that could help newer players, adds a new mechanic that survivors would have to work around so that free saves couldn't happen all game, and it wouldn't nullify the use of Lightborn. As you'd still be able to use the aura aspect of it and get immunity from the start.
The anti tunnel/camp as well as the measures so survivors can't keep a killer around a hooked person too long are great too! No one likes being ejected from the game and this would really help fix that.
-
@Friendly_Blendette said:
Like when you're description is "go home (ablist slur) muslims we don't want you" I am gonna play like the biggest dick towards you.
Not promoting what they're doing. But what does that have to do with the game? And why do you check everyone's profile?
-
The worst part about these forums is that I can't tell if this is satire or not.
-
You're not the only one. Unfortunately.
People are finally realizing that DS isn't a good method to reduce tunneling. You can still be tunneled right through it. You always could.
Yet, the devs and most fog whisperers actively promote that type of behavior.
EDIT: They promote it by saying it's not bannable since they consider ruining someone's match a "strategy". Giving this reason because someone is bound to ask.
-
@Pulsar said:
Yes, you can.
Thank you
-
If "overused" was the reason, then I'd be asking about perks like BBQ, NOED, Stridor, Dead Hard, Self Care (yes, there's still loads of people using it), and Borrowed Time. Those perks are far more overused than Iron Will and Spine Chill.
Undying got nerfed because it was OP as hell. You wanna complain about second chance perks? Undying gave you 3rd, 4th, and 5th chances.
-
My only guess would be that many Killer mains are trying to justify camping/tunneling JUST because Trickster is weak. So, they just play Trickster so they can camp/tunnel to their hearts content, thinking that makes it okay and absolutely everyone will agree with them.
Fun fact though... It doesn't matter what killer it is. If you camp/tunnel people, they won't want to keep playing that match.
-
Because the game that's about brutal murder can't have bad words in it. Including the names of some of these brutal killers.
-
You shouldn't ask this here. The forums is mostly made of killer mains. Only a few ballsy survivors and both sides players will actually talk here.
-
It was indeed wrong of me to use logic in a forum as biased as this one.

Here's what you can't understand:
THEY DON'T WANT TO ADDRESS THESE THINGS, THEY ARE ADDRESSED IN THE RULES!
Tunneling, facecamping, teabagging, slugging, sandbagging, body-blocking, these are all specifically addressed in the rules, and THEY ARE PART OF THE GAME.
You can use perks to stop them, you can play to counter them, but THEY ARE NOT AGAINST THE RULES, THEY ARE PART OF THE GAME. You can either play against them or don't, doesn't matter, THEY ARE STILL PART OF THE GAME.
it's an important distinction, I'm not saying they are technically allowed, I'm saying they are SPECIFICALLY MENTIONED AS BEING ALLOWED.
TLDR: THEY ARE PART OF THE GAME
Literally everything you said that survivors can do that's deemed "toxic" doesn't hurt the killer's gameplay in anyway. Meanwhile, camping/tunneling straight up force the survivor to not play.

So let the killer stay bad because no one is making me play him?
k
and you survivors wonder why killers only play nurse and spirit in red ranks
Tell me exactly how tunneling and camping with Trickster makes him no longer bad. Please. I'm dying to hear how you defend that.
If anything, increasing his kill rate by camping/tunneling will just make the devs think he doesn't need a buff, and he'll stay bad.
I know he's bad. I wanted him to be good and fun. I want him to get a buff. But people like yourself seem to be actively trying to make things worse.
-
DS was psychological.
I was NEVER an anti-tunnel perk. Still isn't. If a killer wants to tunnel you, DS won't stop them.
The problem is that people THOUGHT it was an anti-tunnel perk. So lots of survivors would use it. Now that it's nerfed, the survivor mindset is "Don't use DS, it's bad now." And lots of killer's mindsets are "No one is using DS, it's bad now."
Now, without as many people using DS, there's more games without an obsession; and the games WITH an obsession will still have tunneling killers anyway because of the new mindset the nerf has given the community.
Even if a killer does get hit with a DS now, they'll realize sooner that 5 seconds doesn't mean much. Scratch marks and blood and sound still exist. And they can still tunnel the survivor. And if a survivor uses it now, they'll notice that it didn't help them, because they're still being tunneled.
DS was never the solution. Now, it's just showing a real problem.

You said something logical in the wrong forum dude... You've upset the hive mind.

But the killer is bad
And who's forcing you to play as him?
-
Yep. This place is a killer main hive mind. People who play survivor or, God forbid, BOTH SIDES, are lynched and shamed for doing so.
-
I agree with the change.
However, they need to make the hatch be something given to whoever gets to it first. So, if a survivor is already standing on the hatch, waiting for it to open, the killer shouldn't get priority to close it if they weren't the first to arrive there.

but imagine dying to trickster though
Imagine having to camp to get kills, then proceeding to blame the killer being bad, as if you're being forced to play as that killer.

"First time...?"

Yep. Especially since there's a survivor challenge out now to get killer stuns. AND because I can't use Spirit Fury anymore!

I would guess that upon testing they found that landing 8 hits was quite easy with no recoil at all. The idea is clearly to force you to avoid firing your power rapidly at long range, since recoil affects your shots the more distance you build with your target. Which is fine, even with no recoil you'd probably miss most of the shots, even if you land two, the survivor can just get behind a structure and run; you can see how it goes by firing slowly.
That being said, it still doesn't feel right considering it doesn't actually change anything. If you consider Deathslinger as the previous range killer, his spear may be precise but its range is limited. Maybe the idea for Trickster was to limit his ideal range of action while still leaving him the possibility to fire from afar.
The only part where I don't understand why recoil would be there is Main Event with its limited uses (as it is currently in the game)
The devs don't test things dude... get real

The situational use of BL the main thing balancing BL due to it having two separate movement speed buffs(Reduced stagger + sprint burst).
On some maps it can completely reset a chase.
On other maps you can't reliably activate it.
Its the highest risk/reward exhaustion perk and thus the theoretically strongest exhaustion perk.
Its both the best and worst exhaustion perk due to its situational uses.
No perk should rely on what map you're on.

well yeah I was trying and I downed three but the other one was just better than me I’m new to killer and they were tormenting me. I would never dream of being like that when I play survivor. That’s my point they weren’t even doing objectives. Just running round me.
Isn't that even better? 3 free downs AND they're not getting gens done. That's the dream!
-
100% agree
Now that the killer mains have stopped reading... BL is just a bad exhaustion perk. It's far too map dependent. Some maps give you enough options to get to a high place to fall off of. Others will get you killed before you can find one.
And then there's Sheltered Woods... hyuck Sheltered Woods.
-
Are you not playing killer? Hit them dude...
I love when survivors do that ######### to me. It's literally free hits/points and sometimes free kills. Why complain about your opponents throwing a match?

Still doesn't work. Either it's bugged, or you have to be pointing at the EXACT angle and direction the killer is in with zero leeway. Either way, it needs fixed.

You’re misunderstanding my point. No counter should be so strong that it renders a killer “without a power” (for all intents and purposes). This is the reason Lucky Break and No Mither do not counter Oni, in case of those outliers where all 4 survivors run those perks.
Honestly... They should. Why is it okay for Killers to have builds that completely counter survivors (the ones I said earlier) but it's not okay for survivors. Especially when it would only be one survivor out of the 4 in a match?

But isn't stealthing around better than people actually trying to destroy your perk? Besides, we both know that some survivors aren't that good at hiding.
And I know you never mentioned a timer. I just thought it was a good suggestion based on your idea. I think it is better then an endless, uncleansable NOED, like the original version was.
If we enforce the timer instead of having people break totems, killer mains will complain about "genrush" more than they already do.
-
@GeneralV said:
So, you want NOED not to be a Hex perk... but you don't want it to be "OP". Where have I seen this before?
Ah, yes! I remember now. I have the perfect solution for you. How about we reject modernity, and embrace tradition?
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/60ZOT336ZGZB/image.png
Problem solved.
I said nothing about a timer. The timer was a bad idea then and it still is now. If it were on a timer, people would just stealth for 2 minutes. That's what I always did back in the day.

Yes, it does. When this happens, you should record the trial, report the killer in the post-game, and then send the video to support.
Unfortunately that doesn't do anything... Been playing since 2016. Most common reports I've made are against killers who body block one guy in a small room of a Haddonfield house for the whole game. Even back when killers could block the whole basement, I'd send those in and nothing would happen.
-
@TheClownIsKing said:

That would be broken though. If a pallet Freddy went up against 4 WoO users, he’s almost entirely powerless.
It would only be useful against two specific killers. And would still be useless unless those two specific killers were using specific addons. Fake pallets are not basekit for either of them. You think WoO would be OP in those specific instances. But things like Iri Head + Infantry Belt and Infinite Tier 3 + Tombstone are still in the game.
-
I made my own post about a NOED rework similar to this. It removes the hex aspect of it and instead makes it have stacks equal to the amount of totems still up at the moment of the last gen popping.

I've been playing for nearly 6k hours. I play solo queue almost exclusively. I run small game, and rarely get hit with NOED.
Try again.
Anecdotal evidence means nothing to the masses. Try again.
@Nathan13 said:
This actually may not be a bad idea. And I’m sorry for the whataboutism but if Noed gets nerfed, should adrenaline get nerfed as well??
I always never had issues with Adrenaline. However, I'd be okay with it not being able to pick people up off the ground. If someone is on the ground when the last gen is popped, it should hold off until the survivor is able to move again (similar to if it procs while on a hook)
