Give Survivors a Post-Death Objective
No really, give survivors something to do in the match after they die. It's the only side that doesn't get to play through the entire match. In some cases, can be singled out far earlier on than others. Too many people feel cheated that they waited to get into a game, only for it to end in a short time without them getting to actually do anything.
The tagline for the game is "Death is not an Escape". Well, let's use that.
Have them go around the map as ghosts or something. The new glyph challenges seem interesting. Maybe have some glyphs around the map they can find and interact with. Each one doing something for the objective category.
After death, maybe your new objective (unless your death ends the match) is to do something to increase a "Will" meter. The objective being to keep your will to live. And, if completed before the end of the match, you get 2000 points in Survival because your Will lived on.
Let them have a small interaction with the regular match too. Nothing major or game breaking of course. But maybe, you can go to living survivors (who can't see ghosts btw) and shield them with a portion of your Will meter. This shield could silence one failed skill check on something.
EDIT because people asked: You shouldn't be forced to do this objective. If you'd rather just move on, there should be an option to go to a gate as a ghost and interact with it without getting any of the point benefits from the afterlife objective.

Id rather just move onto the next match where I can actually play the game tbh
sometimes when I die is because I dont even bother to struggle and I want to get out of that match
In that case, then there should be an option to go to an exit gate as a ghost and just leave without getting any extra points.
