Almost like the killer is your opponent who trying to defeat you in a video game.
A killers job is to kill you not help escort you out the exit gate.
No one said it wasn't their job to kill.
What I'm saying is that people would like to spend more than 60 seconds in a match.

Not even close to the same thing, but ok.
True. Not even close.
It takes a lot less effort to nullify survivor perks than it does to get rid of NOED.
-
Killers need to hear this again...
You're playing against other people, not bots. You're actively removing another person's ability to play the game. Something that survivors are incapable of doing to the killer. No side should be able to do this.

I know this has probably been said a lot of to them but out of 5 in my last 20 games survivors have called camping and tunneling in these situations.
1st. If you 3 gen yourselves and I hook someone near a gen you bet your pants that I will eventually patrol back to that gen and hook. That is not camping.
2nd. If are on your 2nd hook and you purposely go for the body block, taunt, or just try to get my aggro and you get downed easily and die. That is not tunneling.
Some wacky survivors playing today. (Also Trickster is not OP now because he got some buffs)
I only agree with what they're calling "Tunneling". But you are most certainly camping. You said yourself that you're constantly going back to the hook.

None but not single one game with trickster went without hardcore absolute tunelling and camping, not blaming any player because he's unplayable however we don't need promotion of that playstyle as something normall again if u played trickster and u tunelled nobody blames u just wanna say we don't wanna this kind of thing in game survs who will either dc or have zerp fun and killer where player needs to chop off his hair to get one kill in my opinion trickster needs to get out of game (just my opinion and rant)
That has nothing to do with the killer. It has to do with tunneling and camping, which are very much so a problem.
Worse being the fact that the devs actively support this problem and even promote it.

Why not? Survivors don't have any perks killers can remove at all. Removing a perk is a powerful thing, especially removing it before it even activates, why shouldn't that take work?
Except they do. I love when people bring Borrowed Time, Unbreakable, and DS into my matches.
By not tunneling/slugging, I completely nullify their perks. It's a REALLY GOOD counter. More killers should try it.

You forgot Dead Hard, in fact you forgot all the survivor's second chance perks. No expectation of skill from survivors, but killers should play perfectly. Got it, survivor that presses E.
I was showing that these things are on both sides.
Besides, I don't think getting exhausted on the ground is a reward.
-
With the absurd amount of aura reading perks, Distortion needs a major buff in stacks.
-
"If you can heal, you're not being tunneled" -People who've never played Survivor
You can either start healing, or move away a bit and start healing and not yet know that the killer is already gunning for you. Walking takes a few seconds. You won't know right away. Stealth killers also exist.
Now, if you can FULLY heal, then yes, you're not being tunneled. But if I've just started healing and now I see the killer coming straight back to me, yes I'm most certainly being tunnelled.
-
TTV's are just people asking to get stream sniped by the killer.

Playing with noed (3 perks for most the game) isn't a bad playstyle, it's risk reward.
And you rarely get exhausted on the ground if DH is used correctly, for distance in a loop, so stop using that bullshit response.
Undying ruin encouraged applying pressure, and gave benefit to applying pressure. That ls not a bad playstyle.
Being able to save yourself for free from slugging with no activation requirements is removing pressure for nothing.
Adrenaline works under the same pretext of a late game perk as noed in that make it harder/easier to down someone. They are both late game perks but noed has counters, adrenaline doesn't.
SB allows you to stay on a gen for free knowing you can get away and for nothing, is rewarding unsafe (bad) playstyles.
Other perks I could mention that do this:
Prove thyself- the game is most optimally played when separating, this rewards everyone sitting on a gen.
BT- rewards unsafe unhooks.
The new gen perk- rewards people getting others killed/hooked.
NOED rewards people for not protecting gens.
You say that DH doesn't leave people exhausted on the ground while hitboxes and pallet hitboxes are some of the worst they've ever been. So stop using that bullshit response.
I said nothing about Ruin. Ruin is fine. Undying rewards people for not guarding their hex totems.
If Unbreakable removes pressure for nothing, then so does getting the 4%. There's no good reason to slug people. Just hook them and get points. You're hurting yourself by slugging.
The difference between Adrenaline and NOED is that survivors are trying to get to endgame while killers are trying to avoid it. You can't put those two perks on the same level. Especially when Adrenaline works once and NOED can work potentially limitlessly. And Adrenaline does have a counter; kill the survivor before endgame.
SB doesn't give anyone a free escape. But, if you want to use your own logic, you could say that staying on a gen longer is a "risk reward".
Yes, Prove Thyself rewards players for doing their objective. Brilliant observation.
BT does not reward anything. If the killer still wants to down the unhooked survivor, they still can. Plus, BT does nothing to protect the rescuer from a hook trade.
'the new gen perk' rewards the user for staying alive longer. What other survivors do is not my concern.

NOED, rancor, and undying have counterplay, I was absolutely powerless against this key user during end game and I shouldn't be forced to use a perk slot to counter their item.
So... You're saying that players shouldn't be required to use a perks slot to avoid unwanted gameplay styles?
Hmmm...
*ponders in tunneling/camping/slugging

@Raccoon said:
If you equip new BT, does it guarantee safe unhooks?
Depends on what you mean.
In terms of getting the extra 500 points after an unhook, yes. It's a safe unhook.
In terms of the person not being able to be tunneled, no. It's not a safe unhook. The killer can still tunnel.

DS rewards bad playstyles.
DH rewards bad playstyles.
UB rewards bad playstyles.
Soul guard rewards bad playstyles.
Adrenaline rewards bad playstyles.
SB rewards bad playstyles.
I can go on if you want?
Its not just on one side.
Getting downed before being able to move away isn't a bad playstyle.
Getting exhausted on the ground isn't a reward.
The killer refusing to pick someone up isn't a bad playstyle on the survivor's part.
Healing your teammates isn't a bad playstyle.
Staying alive to endgame isn't a bad playstyle.
Running away from the killer isn't a bad playstyle.
Please, continue. This is funny.

I have a feeling there will be way more useless teammates hurting the team, more Blendettes hiding in corners and players locker hopping in the basement. I've seen some killers already say they'll ignore a survivor that runs up to them trying to get killed so it's not like them staying in the game is distracting the killer anymore from the other survivors.
Yep. People think slugging for the 4k is bad? That was just the beginning.
I'm just wondering that if the killer refuses to kill these people, is it considered taking the game hostage? The majority of the people on this forum are the very people who'd do this, so I know they won't agree with me though.

I'm sure your teammates have a ton of fun when they have rage quitters who can't stand being challenged.
If someone in my match isn't enjoying themselves, Id rather them die on hook so that I can get hatch, rather than cuck me from having a sliver of a chance of escape because they decided to sit in a game and give the killer a free 4k
-
So... If I'm running away from you with a key, and I see hatch and go and get it to escape, I should just be punished for that since you were behind me? Hell no.
If we use your logic, then survivors should just respawn if the killer is looking at them when they die on hook. It's stupid.
-
@Afius said:
If a survivor wants to dc and wait 5minutes instead of what less than 1 minute let them. AFK report them. A person who dcs because they can't give up instantly is petty and pathetic.
You can't report someone for going AFK. Killers have been doing it to depip for years. And reporting does nothing anyway.
@CornHub said:
Is asking people to not que up if they don't want to play too much to ask? They can probably track people killing themselves on purpose now with those unmissable skill checks.
Nobody ques up JUST to kill themselves on hook. They que up to get into a match that they'll hopefully enjoy. They kill themselves if they're not having fun and want to move onto another match sooner rather than sit through something that's wasting their time. Your strawman argument means nothing.
@supersonic853 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2105244#Comment_2105244
What if i get both? Unhook them they die on 3rd hook and i get hatch. Seems better for me.
You won't. I guarantee that. Killers will see someone is AFK and use that to their advantage to get a free kill on the non-AFK guy before hatch can spawn/open. Then go back and kill the AFK guy last. Exactly the same as slugging for the 4k.
-
@Crowman said:
Maybe people shouldn't queue up to play a game if they are just going to find an excuse to not play it just because they don't like what they matched against.
Maybe people should be allowed to at least try to have fun in a game they paid for.

And id rather not lose out on altruism points because a survivor just suddenly doesn't have fun playing. This is a team based game. Imagine if a game of football half of the enemy team just said "you know what were bored were just gonna leave". Sounds kinda stupid huh? Unpopular opinion:i share tru3s side of "boohoo"
5000 Survival + 2000 Objective for hatch will ALWAYS be better than 1000 + (sometimes)500 for 1 unhook my guy
-
@supersonic853 said:
Ill take another hook as killer. And im sure a survivor would take the same over the survivor killing themself on first hook.
I'd rather someone die on hook if they're not having fun so that I can just hopefully find hatch and move onto my next game.

Surely nobody is this dense...
If you are getting tunnelled this much, you are clearly the variable that needs to change. You are clearly making yourself too visible and not doing a good enough job of hiding or avoiding the killer.
The killer will typically go for the weakest/easiest/closest target they can see. This is 50% within your control, and 50% within the control of the survivor who rescued you. It is a matter of teamwork. You need to hide, and if you can't, they need to make themsevles a target.
A few things...
- Killer's will chase whoever they want to chase. It doesn't matter how close or easy or weak they are. If the killer wants to go out of their way to chase one specific person, they're going to do just that. There's nothing you can do to change it.
- Solo players don't have teammates. We are at their mercy nearly as much as we are at the mercy of killers.
- Hiding means nothing. We have so many detection perks now that even Distortion is pointless. Not to mention the existence of the Doctor and the Plague.
- If I'm the variable that needs changed, then why was this not nearly as much of an issue over a month ago? It's almost like something else changed in that time... I wonder what that could be.
Dense is the most ironic term you could've used.

Queues have nothing to do with internet.
Long queues exists when there are to many people playing one role and not enough people playing the other role.
Don't get me wrong. Many people playing one side will impact ques. But you can't say that there aren't other factors.

It can be countered, that's the whole point!
Getting tunnelled is mostly the result of making mistakes and making yourself a target. The cases when it's not are the minority, and are obvious, because the killer is facecamping.
Survivors job is to survive, not run in front of the thing that's trying to kill you.
Stop. Blaming. Killers. For. Your. Mistakes.
Okay wise one, tell me how you stop the killer from tunneling you. Please teach us all how to completely remove the killer's ability to tunnel.

So being tunneled, something that can't be countered, is my fault? Sure dude.
Ya hear that guys! Killers don't tunnel. Survivors just tunnel themselves.
-
Sorry man. I know it's very common nowadays. But posting something like this on a forum made up of mostly the very killers doing this to people won't grant too much sympathy.
I've come to terms that survivor is basically unplayable for the time being. Which sucks because my friends and I want to be able to play together after work.

I play Survivor more than Killer these days. I get tunnelled a fair amount. It's nearly always my fault, and I can recognise it as such, because I have experience with both sides, and I suck it up instead of getting triggered by it.
I don't think wanting to play the game I paid for is considered "triggered". I'd hope that everyone who bought the game would want to actually be able to play it.
-
@Seraphor said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2100617#Comment_2100617
All I see here is a bunch of bullshit excuses.
- Bullshit, You didn't leave the hook fast enough, or you sprinted somewhere unsafe and left scratch marks, or the survivor who unhooked you vanished and didn't even try to take a hit when it was obvious the killer was coming straight back. It seems survivors never take responsibility for poor play, it's always the killers fault, survivors just want the exit gates opened for them.
- Bullshit. Matches are there to be won. Bloodpoints are a reward for good play. Bloodpoint Farming is frowned upon.
- Bullshit. All the best survivors in my games are the ones who don't get found. Doctor and Plague are 2 out of 24 killers, and both have counters.
- Again, most 'tunnels' are due to survivor error as previously mentioned. If you don't get to do anything at all in a match it means A. you were found first so you weren't well hidden and B. the killer was intent on CAMPING, not just tunnelling, as real tunnelling on behalf of the killer doesn't happen without camping as well.
I don't camp and tunnel, I've previously mentioned I specifically take anti-camp perks like Devour Hope and Furtive Chase with other obsession perks. I will still go back to the hook after the unhook notification IF there's no other survivor closer to me at the time, and will always go for the unhooker. But the amount of times the survivor who just got unhooked runs right into me and the unhooker vanishes is ridiculous. You'd think it would be 50/50 but no, the rescued survivor always leaves the scratch marks and the unhooker never wants to take a risk.
Not my fault you never play survivor.
-
@Seraphor said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2098484#Comment_2098484
- That's on the survivor who unhooked you for the unsafe hook rescue.
- It's a common (and sometimes necessary) tactic for the killer to eliminate one survivor ASAP so that they're not dealing with 4 survivors at endgame, as that's a no-win situation.
- Don't be the first one to get caught. You have the ability to hide and play stealthy.
- Someone is always going to be first. Chalk it up to dumb luck instead of getting triggered. If it's happening to YOU every match, recognise the common denominator.
- It doesn't matter how far away the killer is when I get unhooked. They will stop what they're doing and head straight to me. Getting a safe unhook is irrelevant.
- People shouldn't focus on wins. Killer or Survivor. DBD is built on a grind. That's what I as well as anyone I know who plays the game have come to know. Especially with BBQ rewarding NOT tunneling a survivor.
- Stealth is gone. Doctor and Plague exist. And so do a metric ton of detection perks. Stealth was killed off long ago.
- Being first is one thing. But being first should NEVER mean you just don't get to play the match.
-

So sick of SWF. Every SWF I encounter acts so high and mighty like they are godS of the game.
I see more killers talking about how "strong" and "OP" all SWF squads are.
Meanwhile, when I play against them, they're so altruistic, that they just get themselves snowballed like there's no tomorrow.
