Right now survivors get priority with keys though. It doesn't matter what killer does if a survivor has a key. The hatch itself I have some issues but the key thing alone is a big problem. Doesn't matter if killer closes hatch, hatch hasn't been closed, hatch never opened, etc. If a survivor k ows where a hatch is nearby and they have a key and are at full health they will get out

I think it would be good if the survivor has the key and find the hatch they won't be able to open it if they dont have 20,000 blood points earned from the mach if there are more than one survivor. And if they are the last one and have the then they can get in. And show how many blood points your erne during the game so you now how much have for killer and survivor.
Most games end with survivors hardly making any BP unless you count the 5k for escaping. You don't play survivor for points. Killers are point sponges.

Keys aren't a reward for good or bad play, they're a stroke of luck, a hail mary, an RNG free escape.
Question is if a killer has played their best and a survivor their worst, is it fair that they get a free escape?
Keys are not a free escape. Generators still have to be completed.
If a killer has played their best and a survivor has played their worst, then the worst playing survivor wouldn't be the last one alive.
-
Gen Rushing is when survivors work on generators instead of pointing at hooks for the killer.
-
- Lightborn and looking at walls works out great.
- When blinded, you don't have your head forcibly turned. You're looking in the exact same direction you were right before getting blinded.
- You're allowed to turn away from the light.
- Flashlights fire a beam that travels a distance and at an angle. Survivors can be hit by hatchets even if the huntress isn't on their screen.
- Toolboxes don't have anything to do with flashlights. You also walk faster than the survivors trying to sabo. You point can only be valid if all 3 other survivors are trying to sabo.
- As the killer, you can regress the generators and even attack the survivors trying to 99 them. There are also perks to help with this as well such as Surge and Oppression.
- Fanfiction at it's finest.
- Every killer has an ability called the "basic attack" that counters this.
- Most SWF groups aren't as sweaty as people think. Most are overly altruistic, which you can use against them easily.

I wanna this mod too. I will take Bubba and i will camp. Other killer will patrol gens. I think that will be so fun.
Thank you for proving why this is a bad idea.

But you can turn it around and say that the killer did a good job and sacrificed all the survivors and now he/she deserves their 4k. Why should they lose out on the extra blood points because one extra survivor got lucky and found hatch first or brought a key with them.
It's a never ending argument and I will not comment on any the balance of keys but I do think killers should always have hatch priority.
No one should have any priority. It should be given to whoever gets there first.

It never could really. It was just a misconception because people seen their favorite streamer not want to eat a DS. I always ate DS's
Exactly. But it wasn't until the nerf that lots of players noticed.
-
Not only because most survivors stopped running DS... But also because any killer that got hit with DS now, realized that DS can't stop them from tunneling, so they continue to tunnel anyway.

No, it's the little crashed one with the generator and the window
Luckily, they said "ships". Both of us can be winners! :D
-
Base Doc is fine. Just nerf a few of his addons.
-
I'll only use it for as long as the pallet stun and the "blight hatch detector" glitches remain in the game.
-
I've gotta go with the one on the Swamp map. The big one with the basement spawn in it. That's prolly my favorite ship in the game.
-
Sorry man. But you posted this on the "Killers good. Survivors bad." forum. You won't get many unbiased answers.
-
I mean... If you don't want people to play survivor anymore, I guess this would be a good change.
-
Shouldn't matter in the first place. This isn't a sexual game. It's a murder game.
I don't wanna know who the characters are attracted to. I want to murder them or escape from murder as them. That's it.
-
It was evil when you picked Doc. It was toxic when you picked BBQ with Iron Maiden.

How on earth did you come to that conclusion?
The game is only held hostage when the game cannot end.
If that were true, then it's impossible to hold the game hostage because you can just DC.
-
If I'm already having a lot of ######### survivor matches. The last thing I want to do is be a point sponge for a killer. If they refuse to kill me because I won't farm, I'll DC and wait it out. I'm not about to help someone farm.
-
This is holding the game hostage. But hardly anyone here will tell you that because "killer good. survivor bad"

I see. Time to hop on killer and burn those 10 rainy day iri's and infantry belts then. Might as well ride the OP train before they shutdown the railroad.
Enjoy the 90 second matches with 4 DCs each then I guess.
-
It shouldn't show anyone's name until the match is over.
-
The problem isn't his own power or anything. It's the player mentality.
Lots of people playing Trickster right now still feel that he is too weak. Because of this, they think it's okay to camp/tunnel more than usual.
I've noticed myself that I've had far more camping/tunneling Tricksters than Bubbas lately.
-
They're wasting time they could be using to gain distance on you. I welcome t-bagging for this exact reason. Let it be their downfall.
-
Adding this to the long list of reasons there shouldn't be a forced censorship mechanic in a game about murder.

You don't seem to understand how bodyblocking works. By definition you are blocked by the invincible player so you can't maneuver properly
You totally can. And I do it regularly.
If you want, here's a 3rd option... don't immediately go back to the hook if there are more than 2 people left. Chase the 3rd guy.
You have 3 counters to this and you still think it's a problem.

@GoodBoyKaru said:
If you slug people, all good. If you refuse to slug them and keep blocking the window over and over, that's holding the game hostage.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2140745#Comment_2140745
By in-game rules, provided they are slugged, it's okay as the game will eventually end. Waiting, say, 10 minutes before slugging them is a different story- I think even 2 minutes is too much.
They're doing something that has absolutely zero counter. I can almost guarantee that Bamboozle spam was not thought of when the devs designed this area of the map. Making it abuse of an exploit.
But I forgot. If a killer does it, that makes it okay.

It's primarily an issue once exits are opened or someone has hatch with key. It makes the end game rather pointless as killer. If survivor unhooks their teammate and has BT there isnt really a reason to try because of bodyblocking, BT, and the other survivor will get a speed burst from one hit anyways
Again... You're faster than them... Go around.
-
I honestly can't think of anything a survivor can do that's "toxic".
Doing gens - What else are they supposed to do? Stand around?
Flashlight clicking - They're wasting their resources and giving away their position, as well as wasting their time. I welcome this.
T-bagging/gestures - Wastes their time that they could be using to gain distance. Makes catching up and killing them easier. I also welcome this.
-

You can't with body blocking. That's the whole reason why this is a topic
It's also only 12 seconds. People wait out BT all the time and the patch will make it shorter. How's that not "winning" against body blocking?

No. No it isn't.
Holding the game hostage is preventing the game from ending. That is clearly not what was happening in the original post.
He's trapping people into a room with no escape that cannot be countered. Tell me how exactly that's allowed.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/279-4-7-0-ptb
"Borrowed Time no longer triggers based on Terror Radius... it just works."
Unless the devs change their mind, that update will be going live with the mid-chapter update. Borrowed Time will always trigger no matter where the killer is.
Even better tbh.
Here's another counter... You're the killer. You move faster than the survivors. Run around them.
-
Trapping someone in a room with no escape is definitely taking the game hostage.

BT will trigger EVERY time once the mid-chapter goes in.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/245424/bt-bodyblocking-counters
not much you can do... perhaps the stalking trick with myers.... but other than that not much, just hit them to make them mend and then go after the other, or since they decided to body block, they didn't run so in my mind they made themselves an active target, go after them and rehook the one that body blocked. if they want to play that way, to me they forfeit their claim on tunneling at that point.
I didn't know every single map is only 32 meters long/wide. That's news to me.
-
You just asked a pro-survivor question in the anti-survivor forums... I'm afraid you will not get unbiased answers here my friend.
-
Then why tf do I always get tunnelled off first hook when I just try and play a stealthy Cheryl?
-
Don't be close enough (camping) for BT to activate in the first place.
-
I still think that killers should have to place their hex perks at dull totems before they become active to prevent people from spawning on their totems.
I also think that the totem counter shouldn't be relegated to perks like Thrill and Small Game. Just make it part of the base HUD for killer and survivor.
Edit: typo
-
I couldn't possibly agree more. But hey "sUrViVoRs oP" am I right?
-
Increase the range and make it so that while hooked, the other survivors are given an icon of the perk on their HUD to show them that you're running it.
-
I love how people seem to think these videos show EXACTLY how EVERY killer plays and how EVERY survivor plays.
Maybe try playing the game yourself instead.
-
The real problem is that survivors have NO REASON to just sit there and be camped so the rest can do gens. They have no reason to just sit there. It's ALWAYS a better option for you to just die instantly when being camped and just go and find a (hopefully) better match.
If the camped survivor got distraction points or something, then this would be less of an issue and killers could be properly punished by the other survivors doing gens.
-
The picture alone shows all the problems with windows. Anyone saying they're fine is just lying.

Ah yes just like mettle of man, undying and ds wait no turns out if something is busted people abuse the crap out of it because content creators want to get your attention and the rest of the community will mimic them or be itching to try something new.
MoM, Undying and DS were used from the start. They weren't buffed into becoming meta perks.

Ds is usually a pretty good counter and at the very least wastes a lot of the killers time if the person using it is one what decent. Bt and unbreakable help too. Though ds is the best. Don't really get why so many people dropped it after a slight nerf. Anyways It's not really something worth getting mad at. It's just a game.
People will still tunnel through DS unfortunately.
And the game still is something people would like to enjoy and not have their time wasted.
-
Hopefully they don't touch it. It's a nice buff that won't make it meta due to people not wanting to give up what they already have (assuming they're already running meta perks, since most people don't).
It will likely just be used by a few people who happen to come across it.
-
Yes, when the first survivor found wastes all the pallets, leaving nothing but deadzones and everyone gets slaughtered in the end.

So a bug justifies abusing an exploit?
Great mindset right there 👍
If running a perk is abusing an exploit when the perk is bugged, then lunging at pallets is abusing an exploit when the hitbox is bugged.
Eye for an eye.
-
Spirit - Just hope your 50/50 guess is in your favor.
Freddy - Has the abilities of several killers in one.
Doctor - Stealth is deleted from the game. Combine it with Iron Maiden and you get punished for using the only non-perk counter he has.
Plague - Forces the game into one of two bad modes. Either everyone is No Mither with no stealth; or the killer has a full damage sprinkler of BS.
Ghostface - Still haven't fixed his reveal mechanic after all this time. Almost as much of a coin toss as Spirit.
-
As long as Wake Up becomes basekit with a buff to 300% faster gate opening speed, then I'm all for this new Hex perk.
