I can't imagine ever being that desperate for a 4k.
It's unfortunately even more common than camping and tunneling.

It's only purpose is to annoy the crap out of the killer and get yourself bled out for some petty little personal victory. Seems like BM to me.
Not at all. The survivor knows they're not getting that 5k in survival. So they're going to scrap together as much as they can from struggling.
Seeing it as BM is just victim mentality.

While the other stuff is justified their is no reason to get upset at tunneling as it's part of the game. There are perks to get around it. There is no excuse or reason to send someone hate mail for what happened in a game.
I never justified hate mail. I justified anger. However words are just words.
There are unfortunately no perks to get around it. If a killer wants to tunnel, they will. Perks aren't going to stop them. Delay them a couple seconds? Maybe. But they won't be stopped. If anything, I've seen enough killer mains on here complaining about these "anti-tunnel" perks saying that those very perks are the exact reason for why they tunnel even harder.

There are so many games where I just pass the hatch but never need it but when I'm the last survivor and actually looking for the damn thing, I can never find it. Same thing goes for jumping off hook. Never works when I need it to but I'll jump off while someone's coming to save because I did it as a joke.
I only get the 4% when trying to off myself.
I only find hatch when either playing as killer, or when the killer is chasing me so now they know where it is too and it's now useless without a key.

You were in "disbelief" that the survivors were doing the objective?
You and Tony should get together some time.
I'm shocked he's not here defending him right now.
-
Okay...
- You just sat there and let them do a gen... Just... Why?
- You described the very definition of tunneling. You very obviously, tunneled the Jeff.
- Tunneling prevents people from being able to play the game the second you start the tunnel. A survivor being upset that they can't play the game they paid for is justified.

I think the OP is complaining about survivors that keep running to deadzones with no hope of escaping, just purely to BM.
That's not BM. That's someone who knows they're gonna die and is going to try and milk as much survival points as possible. The survivor couldn't care less about BM at that point.
-
To answer your question: I never struggle, even as first guy downed. Cause I just know my game is over.
Something to add: Damn, we ain't even allowed to die in peace anymore are we? Tell me more about how this forum isn't mostly a killer main circle jerk.
-
It's bugs like this that completely justify people using Breakdown.
As long as the pallet bug is in the game, I'm gonna use Breakdown and encourage others to do the same.
-
Why are you devoting yourself to chasing only one person?
If you see that they're clearly taking up more time than you should be giving them, go for somebody else. Most of the time, this will inflate their ego enough and they'll just follow you to try and get your attention instead of doing gens.
-
Ah yes. Another "survivors bad" post on a forum of mostly killer mains.
-
With pallets the way they are right now, I can deal with breakdown being bugged.
-
Quite the opposite...

I literally had zero hooks on that side of the map.
Even with Iron Grasp and Agitation I wouldn't have made it to any.
I wonder if you'd want Wake Up to be a permanent 15% action speed bonus too.
(X) Doubt
And while Wake Up does need a change. That wouldn't be it. We already have 2 perks that do that. We need perk diversity.

I think we should take it a step further and buff breakdown to make it work like this without the once per match restriction. It's a fun strategy to have 4 man break down squads with no mither and it's a risky strategy where the killer has a lot of play / ways to ruin your fun.
I mean, people like to slug anyway.
And if people ever complain that No Mither is OP, you know they've gone off the deep end.
-
In before the people who complain about this are the same one's who complain about survivors being able to run away. "W gamers"
-
It's words dude. Words mean nothing. Actions, such as hacking, are bannable. You should report the hacker.
If you're bothered by mean words, don't play online games, or turn off chat.

Why does it have to be a matter of fault or punishment? That's not what the killer sees. They aren't trying to find the most fair person to hook, just the easiest. When it comes to one person who is injured next to one who isn't, the injured person is easier to hook. Blame your teammates, but being hooked isn't a punishment, it's just part of the game.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/243826/let-us-kick-away-survivors
If I hook you in a game, you get unhooked unsafely in my face and I slap you down and hook you again, I'm not doing it to punish anyone, or because I think it's your fault, I'm doing it to try to win the game we are playing. It's not personal, why take it personally? I'm not playing killer for punishments and passing judgement on Survivor behavior, I'm just trying to play a game and have fun.
To summarize... Tunneling
Tunneling that could be prevented if I could prevent people from unhooking in your face.

50% blame on you for getting caught and hooked

50% blame on the idiot for unhooking you within spitting distance of the killer
=
100% blame.
MATH.
"The killer's job is to kill!"
Proceeds to blame me for the killer doing their job...

Yes you live or die together, that's part of the beauty of survivor. You can't trust yourselves and each other because of your own flaws. If you and everyone were better, survivors could overcome that but until you do you are hopeless, damned survivors doomed to suffer in trial after trial and probably die in a lot of them just like the entity wants you to be. And I am happy to be your killer and exploit all of your weaknesses / short comings. That's part of the charm in DBD.
@EvanSnowWolf said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2120935#Comment_2120935
Correct. The Killer's job is to kill, not try to figure out which one of you has the most hook states to redistribute them evenly while accounting for who has Borrowed Time.
This idea that the Killer is some kind of fair-play referee is silly. If you unhook your ally right in front of the killer and he downs the injured, that is totally on you two.
How tf am I at fault for someone farming me?
-
@TTV_WAWAbyWibWib said:
I feel like survivors should have to trust each other. if you have to trust your teammate to loop the killer properly, to hit their skill checks you also have to trust them to not make mistakes, especially under pressure.
You're all in this together!
Except we aren't. That's just facts. We can't trust each other. When we do, we get farmed and tunneled. Then, according to 90% of the people here, it's our fault somehow.

Look, I get it, it can be frustrating going against a team that has an advantage as big as being able to communicate. Trust me, I’ve had my fair share of frustrating moments as killer. However, that doesn’t mean it’s the right move to gut SWF.
I would assume that the majority of people that are for a SWF nerf enjoy killer. Well, if you take away the feature of playing with friends, then it will eventually reach a point where there will be no more killer gameplay to enjoy. Why? Because part of the reason of DBD’s success is being able to play with friends. If you take that away, a lot of survivors will just quit the game, killer que times will be super long, and DBD’s death will come sooner rather than later.
A much better solution to fixing the issues SWF has would be to buff solo q and to buff all the killers that need one. Maybe even give every killer something they can do to traverse the map faster and more precisely. There’s a lot that needs to be done to balance everything out but butchering SWF is not the answer to it.
What most people don't realize is how RARE sweat squads are. At least 90% of them are just people playing with the bois
-
I have no issues with it. Hooks are 5-10 meters away from each other. And it can only get rid of a max of 12 out of like 40.
-
It should be basekit. But I appreciate the meme.

I just had a game against a 4man breakdown squad and by the end of it there wasn't a single hook on the map besides basement hooks.
(For those of you who dont know breakdown is currently glitched and breaks hooks indefinitely)
I highly doubt there were only 8-12 hooks in the map. If anything, they got rid of MAYBE a third of them if the map was small.

The KILLER RULEBOOK - as interpreted and written by survivors
- No Camping. For any reason. Ever.
- No proxy camping/hook patrolling. Again, for any reason, ever.
- No tunneling, even if the survivors try to bait you into it.
- Respect the 4%. If the survivor unhooks themselves, you must allow them to live.
- No slugging allowed.
- Always eat the DS.
- No NOED (doing bones is too hard duh)
- No mori's, even though they only work on death hook.
- No OP (as defined by survivors) addons.
- ALWAYS let survivors save. Even if they are in your face.
- No 3 gen plays.
- No closing the hatch. The last survivor deserves a chance to escape, always.
- No BMing (nodding, shaking head, hitting on hook, t-bags etc) no matter how much the survivors do the same to you.
- No trapping near hooks (Applies to Hag and Trapper)
- No intentional usage of bloodlust. If bloodlust procs, you must abandon chase as punishment.
- Not allowed to bait Dead Hard. Must always swing.
- No OP killers (Try and stick to only playing Wraith and...well, Wraith. Be wholesome and stick to Wraith.)
- Not allowed to hook more than one survivor in the basement at a time.
- No body blocking allowed. Only survivors are allowed to do this.
- No window blocking. Must always allow survivors to vault (no bamboozle by association)
- If the survivor gives you an item as an offering, you must let them go.
- Franklins Demise is not allowed.
- Slowdown perks are not allowed.
- If a survivor boops the snoot, you must let them go.
- SWF doesn't exist. All survivors are solo, and extremely skilled.
- Respect AFK survivors, unless they have crows.
- ALWAYS say GGWP. No matter what.
Get to work! You all have homework to do!
Of course you would be the one to defend someone complaining after getting a 4k with max BP.
Wouldn't expect it from anyone else.
-
I suggest playing one of the 3 killers that delete stealth (Doc, Plague, and Oni) or using one of the several aura reading perks or Spies from the Shadows. Just kill them.

What’s easier? Constantly running around gen patrolling? Or just doing bones? When small game perk update comes out most hex and NOED perks will never be used again anyway. Still barely have any counters to how fast gens go though.

If a killer camps a hook, the game will still progress. It's not taking the game hostage in any way.
I mean... If a killer blocks one person in a corner and refuses to hit them, the game will still eventually end as well.

@Superyoshiegg said:
Body blocking to protect another Survivor from the Killer isn't bannable. Nor is blocking a Survivor in the corner to wait out their Borrowed Time, for example.
It's bannable when you're holding someone there indefinitely, preventing them from playing the game.
@gendoss said:
it's bannable only if the killer does it for griefing purposes. Like if a killer blocks a survivor in a corner and doesn't move for 5 minutes. Survivors can't body block a killer for griefing purposes because the killer can just down them.
@ShrimpTwiggs said:
Body blocking is ok as long as it doesn't take the game hostage. If you body block to tank a hit, that's just playing the game. But if you trap someone in a corner until they quit, that's bannable.
@FrenziedRoach said:
tanking a hit is not bannable. In the unlikely even I'm wrong and it is, I will uninstall this game and never come back.
What the guy said above me is the truth. If you corner a survivor more several minutes and do nothing - that's likely what will get you banned. But blocking killer hits or blocking the killer's path is 100% allowed.
That sounds like camping should be bannable then...

No buddy. NOED is not unfair. Do bones.
"Do Bones" doesn't work on maps like Midwich, Lerys, Hawkins, or Dead Dawg.
Plus, there's no way for me to know if all the totems are broken unless I specifically do all of them.
When the devs add a totem counter to the base HUD and NOT just perks like Thrill and the new Small Game, only then will you have a bit of truth to your "do bones" argument.

You sound like the kind of survivor who is toxic in end game chat, because you didn't like how the killer played.
90% of the time, I'm tunneled to death before I can talk to anyone in the end game chat. To the point where I go and point at hooks in front of the killer if I'm on death hook before 2 gens get done. I'm not about to wait till the entire match is over to talk to some random. I couldn't care less. I prefer to get to my next match and hope that things go better.

- Now that we have crossplay, it's rare to find a group of all PC players if you're on PC.
- "Nasty words"... Seriously? I know the community is soft. But holy ######### dude. Was it you who asked for the censorship? Ever heard of the "sticks and stones" moto?
- Those "nasty words" you hear are 99% caused by "nasty" actions that were previously inflicted on the person saying those words.

You DO know that most SWF's don't just play this game to try and sweat, right? The mass majority of players are casual. Killer AND Survivor.

There really should be a forfeit option for both sides. Especially with the upcoming hook changes that will prevent survivor suicides.

I mean... You shouldn't tunnel or camp anyone. That literally prevents people from playing the game.

Not just you. Earlier, I was facing a Bubba, got downed by his chainsaw as I throw down the pallet. The pallet didn't get destroyed by the chainsaw, nor did it stun the killer. I killed myself on hook immediately.
