Doesn't stop the killer from tunneling so its a meh change.
Played killer for about 2 hours, then got tunneled off each hook state on my first survivor game... Went back to killer.

When I get fast search times, and the killer tunnels me anyway. The best depip is a fast depip.

You had me until that last part.

I'm looking forward to two weeks from now on, when nobody will run LB anymore. Then we'll go back to the "why everybody runs the same perks?" posts again.
I guarantee you that AT MOST, people are gonna use it once, see it's trash, and never touch it again.

Ah they changed it? Then I refuse to believe people are crying about a 45 seconds perk.

That is a classic, survivors trying to survive=Broken
Yes, they nerfed it since the PTB because of the outcry. Since it dies off even when downed/hooked/out_of_chase, it's a 1 time use. It'll promote more Self Care users too.

characters are needed for diverse gameplay while skins are there for people that get bored.
They are not needed but people seem to pay anything to change things up and look different.
I have noticed that default skins have been quite ugly/ bright while the skins that release on day one for new characters are always better and usually dark.
That's... not a reason for a skin to cost more than a full character that has not only a skin, but a unique model, animations, and gameplay mechanics.

My man... I am so dumb. I have misread LOL. Please forgive me I thought you were the one saying it's op... And yes I agree with you. Damn this is embarassing...I guess I am too disappointed at new Coldwind to use my brain, my apologies again
It's all good. I too am far used to seeing people saying "insert anything survivors have" = OP as well.
Just glad we're on the same page now. :)

They already spawned on there before the rework, it's a really odd place
They used to spawn between the corn lines, which was just stupid and overly visible. They needed moved, but this was the wrong way to go.

Now read the rest of the post. About how totems don't last more then 2 minutes. And you're saying they're hid too well 🤣
I'm saying they're obstructive. You haven't played the map yet so your input is basically null & void.
-
@Corvo_ said:
And corrupt intervention makes you not lose some gens as soon as the game starts. Why is it bad that survivors can now lose the killer in a chase?
You're asking the wrong guy. I was looking forward to the buff. But everyone overhyped it as this unstoppable, OP thing and now I'm disappointed because it's just a much worse version of Quick & Quiet.
Literally using your eyeballs counters it.
I wanted something better.

Just another super broken OP perk that will "be abused by SWF".
Oh, but of course. Every survivor perk is OP and abused each game. WHEN WILL THEY LEARN?!

No I haven't. But it doesn't matter. A BIG problem with running hex totems is theyre found so fast it's not even funny. They do a better job of hiding them...And they're too good ? Come on now
"No I haven't. But it doesn't matter."

They meant screenshots. Mind sharing the spots?
I have none of my own. I'm sure others do.
The totems literally spawn inside of the corn stalk. Great hiding spot! Just... I can't see it as killer very well either.
-
You had me at "survivors no longer drop blood orbs passively". That alone should be basekit while requiring the Oni fewer of them to gain his power. He shouldn't have a passive nerf to stealth.

It's a perk that becomes useless after 90 seconds.
And Corrupt Intervention is useless after 120 seconds. What's your point?

Why you complaining new Coldwind has like 4 loops total. Also god forbid lucky break is viable.
I was complaining? I think I would've remembered something like that.
I was stating facts. But if you want to see my complaints, believe me, I have plenty of other posts.
-
@HealsBadMan said:
Are they actually well hidden? I almost don't want to believe it, we've always had garbage totem spawns.
Don't get me wrong. I want good totem spots. But I'm literally getting caught on them during chases and have even thought they were survivors hiding in the corn.

For most killers, it has little to no counter unless you have the right perks, which isn't a real solution.
Enjoy me playing Doc even more now. 10 bucks says the Lucky Break users all DC/give up on first hook.
For all killers, the counter is to use your eyes. It's worked 100% of the time for me. More often than not, leading to some funny post game chats.

Hitting a Survivor with a bottle does not injure them. Ever.
Never once have I said that it does.
Please re-read the post before using your brain to try and autocomplete it.

Slowing people is not hit. You can still dodge him. You can use pallet early. Also you can leave gas area.
After rank 10... You cannot "dodge" people.
Using a pallet early means that disposable resources are used up early on, making the mid/late game full of dead zones... against a killer that can lower your movement speed.
Leaving the gas area doesn't just turn off the slowness. You remain slow for a while as long as you touched the gas at any point.

if they heal up the timer stops and you can activate it again with shorter timer
I haven't had one get the chance to heal after it's initial use. They usually try to hide and get found immediately because I tend to look exactly where I saw them running.

That's not what they were saying at all. They were saying that the bottles don't injure Survivors.
The point is that they grant hits with no strings attached aside from accuracy. Same goes for hatchets and knives. Hell, knives don't injure people right away either. Most of the time, I get hits as Clown sooner after tossing bottles than I do as Trickster after tossing my first direct hit knife.
-
@The_Krapper said:
The thing that makes it not strong in my opinion is the timer starts immediately on being injured and the killer can see where you're running and let's be honest the way most maps are there isn't a whole lot to hide behind and you're easy to pin point unless it's an indoor map as mentioned above where you have plenty of LOS breakers to actually fool a good killer, most decent killers on any outdoor map can still continue chase and get the down
I agree.
Plus, as an avid "I'm All Ears" user who gets a lot of their hits through vaults, it kinda ruins any hope of stealth they could have after taking a hit.

He does have counters though. After 1k+ hours on Clown I can tell you the most simplest way to counter Clown. Run strong tiles, and fake out the player by pretending that you are staying at the tile and just leave. If you have a few tiles that can link together right next to each other just keep running the windows. The strongest teams I've gone against have done this, and I have lost due to it. People who sit around at bad pallets and pre drop and camp are going to get hit. People who mindgame and chain windows together can pose a serious threat.
I'll partially agree and say that strong tiles can help delay the Clown a bit. But, after having it done against me, I've started using "I'm All Ears" on Clown and it just ruins that whole plan.
-
100% in agreement.
He never needed a buff. His bottles have zero counter.
"jUsT dOnT gO iN tHe GaS" Sure... I'll just go into the dead zones then. That'll surely work!
-
If you're telling me that slowing people down at no expense of yourself DOESN'T give you hits, then you're not just a bad Clown. You just suck at killer.

And yet, if it gets moved, it'll get attention from the devs. If the goal is to suggest things to the devs, then having it in the right place is good. On the other hand, players can just go and post there. There's nothing stopping them.
People don't post ideas here for the Devs... There are far too many for them to look at. They post them for the community to see what players think.
Having it in "the right place" is bad. The mass majority of the community doesn't look beyond General. They should honestly just do away with the subforums and just add flairs. Everyone knows that once a post is moved off General, it's dead. No one new will see it and the discussion will only continue for people getting notifications for the post.
-
@tesla said:
Maybe this sould be posted in feedback and suggestions? I'm afraid of posting it there now and break the forum rules by double posting.
A mod will likely move it. It will then get no further notice by players. That's why we all post in General.
If a post is moved, it's dead.

*points and laughs now that the update is out

Imagine complaining about having to look for people yourself...

Seems like it. I got stunned last match and even got to use my Spirit Fury again!

It's funny, i think i know why, but i don't think i can explain it well at all, and i could also just end up being wrong.
BUT, i think why this is a thing cause they don't want the game to save while you're searching for a lobby.
And i think the game saves whenever you accept the rewards on a Daily or whenever you simply exit the Dailies menu.
Someone else most likely knows better than me.
If that's the case, then I guess they could just make it so you can't swap challenges when searching. I just want to be able to see them because I get sudden cases of "######### did I literally just look at 10 seconds ago"
-
Something about spawning in and knowing immediately that the match isn't going to be even slightly fun makes people want to find a different match.
When Freddy, Iri Head Cuntress, or Spirit cause someone to DC, I don't even get mad. I get it. I don't wanna be here either. I just go up to the hook and point.
-
Out of the 3 you listed, I'd like a Haddonfield rework similar to that of Badham where we actually have different variants of the map as well as the overall change.
Swamp was touched in the past and shrunk. But it still needs a graphical overhaul to make things look less... horrible.
Red Forest just needs the lighting change. But when it happens, if they keep the rain, they need to make sure it's optimized well. I have friends who play on console and they say it tanks their systems.
I still think that Hawkins, while "new" needs a complete rework in design and layout. It's easily the most hated map among both sides for that reason. Midwich being a close second.

What they're doing doesn't matter.
You just have the discussion and title be positive, and the comments, good or bad, keep it high.
What I mean is the alphabet people post was mixed.
The obsession change posts are all on the same page. It's easier to see a clear sign of agreement.

NO THEY ARE NOT.
Stop lying.
How the hell is trapper viable at red ranks especially against SWF? The weakest killer in the game.
Aren't you one of the killer mains who worship Otz? And you just said that Trapper isn't viable?
You're starting to choke on your BS my guy. Go back to snarling at getting outplayed on Twitch.

@Boss said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2161379#Comment_2161379
You know what an effective way is to do that?
Just flood 1 discussion with comments like how everyone currently does with that one about an alphabet character being added.
As long as it won't leave the front page, they'll see it.
Idk. The alphabet character thread isn't all in agreement. I disagree with it myself.
I think flooding the front page with discussions all saying how good of a change this is might get the message across a bit better. But to each their own.

As a gay person myself, whenever these topics come up I just cringe and want to crawl under a rock and hide.
Gay people get hooked and die the same way as straight people. A gay sociopathic killer is just as murder-y. I couldn't care less to have "representation" in the pool of people running for their lives from a chainsaw wielding freak.
I'm so sick of the militant push by a small minority of people to shove to rainbow into everything lol.
Thank you for having your mind in the right place. I just wish others could share in your ability to use logic.
