If we keep posting this on the forums maybe BHVR'll notice it.
All about gettin em to listen my friend.
Then wait for the first post to fall off the main page.
Seem's like a bit of attention seeking to be honest

Why did we need this post? This was only 6 posts down the list!

Count how many times you've seen it: you see someone running to the guy you hooked and you quickly close in, and they pull the dude off. You were already planning on ignoring the dude who just got unhooked, because of BT or DS or ethics or whatever and start running after the unhooker, but the unhooked guy immediately runs into your face and tries to bodyblock you.
Because we can't let that free hit go to waste, can we?
It's dumb. It's real dumb and it makes no sense. I run BT every game because in some situations that's just the only way they're ever going to make it out, even if I have to die for it, but I hate it when I see the guy I just unhooked immediately try to headbutt the killer.
I run that so he won't pay attention to you, dumbass, stop making him wonder if he should just tunnel you to death out of spite.
I say that if the hit counts as a protection hit, it ignores BT and downs them anyway. Maybe with a grace period of a second or two after the unhook, but after that, if you try to bodyblock for your buddy, eat the dirt.
It'll encourage people to split, at least.
Only tricky thing would be if the killer is legit tunneling the freshly unhook survivor, and the dumb unhooker if running a step or two beside the person (because...you know...solo q). Then it may read as a protection hit and down them when it wasn't the person blocking you.
Other than that....idea isnt to bad.

Fix your internet. This is a YOU issue
or, you actually dc in games intentionally, and your hiding it behind “bad wifi”. Either way, you issue
-
Freddie if you want to be “hardcore 4K” tough
Piggy if you want to have fun
-
It the hitboxes with them that is the worst part. You can see the thing go past, even gives the noise of it hitting a wall or tree or whatever, but still registers as a hit! That pisses me off, when I know i dodged it, and no, some of this I have watched back on the killers stream, and even they have been confused by the hits
-
I...dont mind the idea. Not sure about how to make the lore etc work though
-
I play on PS4 and have fibre broadband. I would be lucky to be DC'd once every few months.
It might be your internet that you need to sort and not anyone else's fault. As for steam doing maintenance, if its every week on a Tuesday...then you know when it will happen, organize your time around it.
As for Steam having legitimate issues on their servers....that at least is a valid query

Most players at higher ranks just wave their arms if they don't have kindred to let the team know to just do gens and get them after if they can with BT, otherwise they'd rather you leave them and get the three man escape.
If I manage to run a killer and then get camped and all my other teammates have time to complete the gens and escape that's a win to me whether I die on hook or not.
Exactly. Decent survivors will just power through the gen's while the killer stands there doing nothing.
3 escape is a survivor win. Survivor need to stop being idiots and DO THE GENS in the his situation.
I run kindred when I solo q, but, there is always a Nea or Jake crouched behind a tree watching the camping killer...do nothing...through 2 full hook states :/

Already have that. Arms fully raised up and down means camper. Arm twitches means all clear.
Wailing arms up and down has ALWAYS meant you were being camped. I don't understand how people don't realise this!
Also....um...KINDRED

After the Twins, for me it's set in my mind that those very small killers would just be comical. Not saying it won't work, but it is not going to offer any real scare factor for me.
If it is going to work, they're gonna have to do something like levitate it, so it floats around after survivors and has some sort of shadow figure of medium size around it. Having it scamper around on the floor just feels like comic character than a killer.
I always liked to the idea of having the physical Chucky doll running around, but the ghostly/spectral form or Charles (normal human sized) kind of overlapped on him. Chucky will still be small, but visually to the survivors, they see him (partially see through) at full height

Perhaps....but remember this is BHVR....

Just make it so the short killers throw the survivors on hook instead of placing.
I still think the hook cant just lower (like a fishing pole/rod unreeling some line), Hook is done, reels back up (survivors have to wait for it to reel back up, only a few seconds, but no insta unhook

@DeadBound said:
It's quite simple nothing more should be said outside of,
If you get kicked out of a game because the game "Claims" you lost connection you should get compensation and not rewarded with a dc penalty for the games doing.
-SIMPLE-
How can BHVR tell if it was legit or if you pulled the ethernet cable out in a fit of salty rage?
-
Because it is difficult to tell what is hacking in real time would be my guess.
While I completely agree with BHVR that a DC penalty is necessary (due to the amount of salty DCers in this community). I think perhaps you should get the penalty for 1 DC within a 24 hour period. Those with unstable internet etc....well...BHVR cant do much about that one.
-
For me, it's situation and depends on the killer, If the killer is known to come back to the area, I will move off a bit and get behind a wall or something.
If the killer never heads back after an unhook, then underhook healing is more efficient. Depends on the brain power of your teammates a bit to.

So its okey for someone to make a post ONLY to blame killers but its not okey if someones does the same for the survivor side. Besides that, he even said its BOTH sides.
There are hundreds of posts complaining about survivors on here weekly, but you seem to ignore those to.

LMFAO, Doesnt take long for a killer main to run in with this comment
-
Really? I like Coldwind on Surv and Killer!
I only get shelter woods or the chapel map, 10+ games last night, that was all I got (without offering effecting it to)
It's as bad as the matchmaking!
(Side query, Does the carnival machine music pi$$ anyone else off? It obnoxiously load if you repair the gen near it or are trying to track survivors near it!)

I don't complain about DS. I don't complain about any Perk on either side. I sometimes give Feedback in the proper area, but that is as far as I go. I don't blame Players for using Perks they earn, equipment or Offerings they bought with their BP. I don't blame Killers for doing their jobs. I think that is foolish and nothing but blaming OTHER people for one's own failures.
It was more a blanket statement, no primarily at you

also why are the maps so f*cking dark now? i already had trouble playing killer before but this takes the cake now. autohaven is a nightmare for me with max brightness. i'm not joking. people were crouching in my face and i couldn't see them. i don't know if it was because of me being CB or if it's the game's fault.
Oh for gods sake. Do some research and you would know!

I've heard apparently some people think the teabagging in that scenario is them saying thank you.
I've taken to couching and lowering my head, then leaving to say thanks. Cant be seen as t-bagging in a bad way then....plus I think it should be clear enough what I did...
-
I don't t-bag for no valid reason as I'm not a doucebag.
However, If your being an obnoxious a-hole etc etc, then I might
-
Usually, yes.
Had 2 dc when no gens were done last night, let the other 2 go. But the pc player still had to tbag at the gate like they were skille for something
-
Just M1 and have fun with the survivors. Nothing more you can do

Have you never thought about mechanics related to generators? I mean, from killer it has become unplayable and you are always in a hurry and then lose the game anyway, as a survivor instead you just need to attach yourself to the generators and you have already won. but a mechanic to start the generator right? find items to repair? many times as a killer I start the game, I go around the map completely, I go back to the starting point and I already have a generator, or I often chase a survivor for a very short time and a tinkerer and a generator are activated. you understand that the situation is stressful. I was just wondering this, whoever says that the game is killer side does not understand anything and I'm tired of having to piss me off, generators flock as if there was no tomorrow, create something to waste time and let the killers breathe.
They have already been slowed and toolboxes nerfed.
Perhaps the problem isn’t the gens...

@sluc16 said:
Why would killers cry about DH when they have the most powerful perks on the game?
Because they simply move from one perk to the next. DS nerfed, then mettle, then DS again, OoO etc etc
the day after the DS/OoO nerf, the “NERF UNBREAKABLE” calls started
its pathetic and nothing to do with balance, they just want zero challenge and easy 4K for their ego
Note, I’m a damn pig main, I know about being a weaker tier killer, yet you have iri hatchet or unlimited Myers killers on here bitching about one person getting hatch
-
Well, you could stand in a corner all match then leave when someone opens the door or the hatch spawns. You did nothing, so derank.
need more details on how and why
-
Fine on most maps for me, but springwood last night was atrocious

@MadLordJack said:
Dead Hard is a huge problem, and it practically defines the second chance meta: it exists purely to rob the killer directly of a hit with no effort, earning or counterplay.
Even ignoring Dead Hard for Distance, the base design of the perk is literally to rob the killer of a hit. That is what it is intended to do. That's not okay, that's like if killers had a perk that just spontaneously regressed generators each time they hit 95%.
By this logic, noed needs a rework since if robs healthy survivors of a hit

Most of the people who play dead by daylight players play survivor more than killer. Survivors already have long queue times because no one wants to play killer. If a killer who could see a lobby with a SWF group, they would dodge lobbies even more than they already do. That would increase the already very long queue times for most of the player base and it would also shrink. I was just being logical about this.
Feedback is fine :)
not referencing your feedback on this one, but the butt hurt this post made is awesome
-
You need to hit them in the bank account, then they’ll notice.
This is the first rift I have not paid for, sad thing is, to many people do, hence the devs don’t give a fuk

You think a 10% speed buff just because people are playing with friends is balanced?
It’s an idea, if you bothered to read more than just the post you might have seen me talk about the ptb and finding the right balance
-
Wow this got some salt from the bully SWF’ers didn’t it LOL.
I appreciate the feedback from the people that have manners and are happy to discuss ideas and things, that’s how a discussion works.
Seems the salty unwashed masses can’t see outside their own little bubble.

@Mat_Sella said:
how small are people's ego's that they cry and scream if someone attempts an escape at no detriment to the team. People need to grow up.
If you dont save the person on the hook you have ruined the game for all 4 survivors in the match just because you feel the need to be petty.
No, growing up would be not to do this ######### to your fellow players. But I guess we found someone that does it.
enjoy staying on the hook
-
It depends, if they have watched me run across the entire map to unhook them, and they try it as I get there, I've started leaving them there, Moved on to the gen nearby.
Is it petty? Yes, yes it is, but, you are trying to deny me the unhook points, I could have stayed on my gen, but no, you want the lols. Well, I get the lols when you die and get salty. I'll throw a match out of pettyness if I have to.
-
"If you're really set on this speed boost, how about instead, getting into a chase with the individual SWF members grants the killer a level of Bloodlust determined by their SWF size. That way, the killer is given a definitive advantage against the actual group, whilst the guy all on his own isn't thrown under the bus and can still play the regular game."
See, this is why we have the forums, Idea's get run through more minds. This isnt bad.

Your sugestions are too extreme. I think that limiting the amount of perks that can be brought by SWF it's already a good start, this way you don't have to deal with 4 DH, DS, UB and BT.
Also the extra BPS to deal with bullshit would be nice
Clearly it would need to be tested and balances, perhaps an extra perk is to much. But...if the PTB was used properly, we could test this type of thing between patches. Too OP? fine, that get found out on the PTB, then it can be tweaked.

This has to be the dumbest thing I've read in a long while.
But yeah, OP's idea is a bit crazy. If we could just see who was in a SWF, that would be a thousand times better TBH.
Well...clearly my numbers would need to be adjusted based on balance etc etc.
Also, perhaps the solo survivor in a 3 man SWF could get buffed to match the killers buff so they are not disadvantaged by a killers speed increase etc.
-
@Grandpa_Crack_Pipe said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1982430#Comment_1982430
Okay, but problem.
It doesn't matter if the solo queue guy can see the SWF. He's still gonna deal with a superbeefed killer and not benefitting from the SWF's communication. Odds are they're just gonna leave the lobby and everyone's going to wait around forever until someone bored/psychotic enough sticks around and just hides in corners because he's at a massive disadvantage.
The dude's still being punished for doing nothing wrong.
Maybe so, but on the other hand, based on balancing the game, the killer is being punished by the survivors communicating.
Why should the killer be punished over the survivor?
-
@Terro said:
Wouldn't that just break the game if the killer stacks the right perks add-ons or is just the right killer?
But a bully SWF 4 man...doesnt break the game?
-
@Grandpa_Crack_Pipe said:
Feel like that's a really good way to superpunish the solo queue guy who found himself in the wrong game.
Show the solo person that the others are SWF as well then. Plus, if the solo played the match stealthy, then that solo would get the advantage of the other communicating anyway.
Take kindred and bam, no problem
