Since looping forms the core in nearly every dbd game thats weakness is unacceptable. The killers power by standard needs to help in the chase. Unlike billys which closes gaps and can instadown at a range LFs saw reduces his speed on activation and dosent close any distance.Morter said:What the [BAD WORD] guys, i've been playing leatherface from rank 20 to rank 7 and besides the problem every single killer has (which is getting pallet looped til you want to punch your monitor like summit1g) it's in pretty good shape bubba boy
Its range is point blank to short range and is heavilly add on dependant. With most of his add ons being recycled from billy. Lf should not have noise reduction add ons, there a waste of bp and blocks me off from better add ons. He has no mobility patroling gens and is heavily reliant on camping and basement plays to get maximum use of his power.
A killers power should see active use and Lfs power is too weak to make him properly function as a decent killer. -
If any killer needs a buff its LF he has so little going for him and his chainsaw power should have some reach so you can use it around pallets to mindgame your opponent. I see a lot of camping leatherfaces and i dont really blame them their power is often completly unuseable in a chases.

Thas my point if you make it so the highest rank player on the team dictates the rank of the killer it would mean that no one elses rank on the team would matter. So if you have a rank 20 player, a rank 15 player, a rank 8 player and a rank 1 player. You will get killers from the higher rank 1 brackets as their is a rank 1 player on your team. The lower ranks arent aggregated for an average the highest rank player decides the killer you face.nooxet said:@Zarathos said:
Just make the higest rank survivour prioritise the killers rank forget the rest of the low rank survivours on the team. This will make sure that players who genuinely want to play with their lower ranked friends can.The Problem with this is people exploit this and make smurf accounts just so they can bully and annoy low rank players. Only way to fix this problem is to make a different ranking system that would match players with similar skill level.

Statistics and proper collecting of information are the best means to record and prove your point as feelings are arbitrary perspective and opinions that vary dependant on indiviguals. What do you regard as too powerful.ryguy said:
I actually play both killer and survivor fairly often. And playing through both sides of the spectrum I saw the killers are a bit too powerful. Regardless of the statistics, from MY own play through experiences. That's what I saw and still see.Zarathos said:

I recomend you do your research before stating your feeling on the games balance. They nerfed collision radius of trappers traps on updates and are adding buffering to the traps so a friend disarming the trap makes it passable. Because as we all know trapper needs to be nerfed right? (sarcasm).
The dev team is finally plugging up some of the timesink areas so you dont get looped all day around the storehouse. But apprently you think thats unfairly killer sided right? I have no words for survivours like yourself who makes these kinda comments and dont even pay attention to the details. Unlike survivour every perks change has a massive impact on the effectiveness of a killer. For instance the tinkerer change dramtically reduced the effectiveness of the huntress as preping jatcjets around wjndows requires significantly more time.
2k 4ks bare in mind to pip a killer need on average two kills. This is the victory conditions of a killer. It should be the average.
My point is there are a lot of nerfs and buffs to both sides and you stating an opinion based off of feelings is propagating untruths. Stealth players got calm spirit buffs which straight up negate an aspect of the doctors power may I remind you.
I have debunked every point you have stated and you still think killers are too powerful. It took me around 6 months to get my killer to a good standard, survivour took less then a month to get good with. It looks to me that the survivours role is lacking in mechanical depth. -
Just make the higest rank survivour prioritise the killers rank forget the rest of the low rank survivours on the team. This will make sure that players who genuinely want to play with their lower ranked friends can.

Please dont nerf freddy more. Hooking the last survour is literally the only way he can gurrante a kill without a survivour jumping off and freddy having to dream transition them again.scumrrado said:I played a game yesterday against the Nurse. My friend was hooked, right in front of the hatch. The killer camped her until she died, making me the last survivor. I was hiding in a locker right behind the hook near the hatch.
The moment the Nurse left the hatch, I darted for it. Unfortunately, she came back and caught me. I had never been hooked or even damaged the entire round. I helped light 4/5 generators. But I get hooked and die instantly because I'm the last survivor...
I understand that it's a team based game, but at that point the killer already has a huge advantage. I should at the very least be able to make attempts to get off the hook. Every other survivor had that option. Why not the last survivor? All the luck perks and offerings in the world are just thrown away.

Dosent work the chase scoring event breaks easily and sometimes wont start up untill your on top of the survivour. So if they break line of sight and maintain that around a jungle gym location your fked. Myers and pig would also suffer as stealthing up to targets would be given away by the survivours noticeable decrease in time counting down.CoolAKn said:@Zarathos said:

I like this idea of a health meter that drains slower when the killer is closer to the hookWay to prone to abuse survivors can jump on gens that are close to a hook person this means the killer will be inclined to leave the area and survivors can stick close to areas with hooked person only pulling them off the hook before they hit death hook.If the killer sticks around hes punished for hunting prey close by that is not fair at all.
Perhaps make an exception for active chases?

Whats your idea. Perks, bio, what killer would be their nemesis. Lots of work goes into designing the survivour and killer beyond just a 3d model and an ethnicity.

I am frankly sick of playing this game when every survivor player usually with ds and a flashlight dc the minute they mess up. I never encounter this problem in low ranks but in high ranks the number of anti mates is absurd. We need way harsher penalties for dcers. Just a temp ban if a player has left 3 games in a 24 hour period. I am pleading with behavior to put out another wave of bans so we can deal with these toxic players who are killing any enjoyment in this game.well im sick of this game when i dont bring DS even though i can hit it and i dont bring a flashlight when i can flashlight save. and we are killing your enjoyment? how about when killers that have all bloody clothing at rank 1 get angry because they cant one shot me with a chainsaw (Billy) and i chase them for 2 gens and they hook me and stand in front of me with thier chainsaw . good thing a person saved me and he tried to M1 me but hit the other person and eventually we all escaped through the exit gate. my point is is that is a 1/100 chance that i survive if the killer had suceeded i would of been dead due to me waiting to phase 2 (struggle) back to the point at high ranks killers expect survivors to be babys and not experienced and think they deserve the kill because of thier prestiege. if he wouldnt of camped he could of easily killed another survivor but no he didnt. dont say your annoyed by the game and we arent when most people arent SWF you just go unlucky try console most of us arent SWF
Those three games, I was playing survivour who was down one teamate because for some reason. The minute a game looks hard or difficult people dc. Its frustrates me how you dont see the damage you do to your team when you dc and leave the rest of the team to cover dcing survivours slack.
Forget balance for a second and focus on the topic. If a killer is playing a nasty build you dcing makes the experience worse. Survivours need to learn to tough out rough games instead of pulling the cord like a bunch of five year old "babies" throwing a tantrum. -

Well, if the killer is remaining near the hook the whole time, then Borrowed Time becomes useful.I'd rather go in for the rescue instead of waiting for the hooked person to reach second stage (or die).
Borrowed basically gives your team an extra layer of safety, which is always nice to have.
I've had numerous games where Borrowed was effectively able to stall out a killer that was determined to camp/tunnel.
If you countered tunneling with BT then your Killers somehow don't know how to tunnel properly.
You can't counter tunneling unless you bodyblock. Bt helps extend the time available to the tunneled survivor thus punishing the tunneler by drawing out the chase. Bt as its current iteration is fine as it is as granting a tunneled survivors those extra seconds can give them a time frame to lose the killer or delay the killers ability to kill them. If bt players took the hit then a billy saw randomly knocking you on your ass would be a little absurd. Also it would make the idea of unhooking a survivor who's playing poorly unappealing if i will get downed for their inability to evade a saw or huntress hatchets.

Competitively i don't trust my teammates to hold up a good chase. Some will do way better then me but most of the time if the killers attention isn't on me it ends badly for me as my team will go down very fast. Once players start going down generator progression ceases and then everyone's diving hooks for saves which is sub optimal. However if you go loud and get the killers attention on you then the other players can focus on getting gens. Don't go clicking flashlights or teabag you ll only be letting the killer know your good at looping and then he will ignore you in the higher ranks. Instead hang out in the open pretend you don't know where the killer is and then begin the chase. Stealth is very important for nurse games but the rest of the killers can pretty much be looped around the map with some good map knowledge.I recommend you take maps that can track killers belonging when looping hag and trapper as with red twine or rainbow map your map will pick up on the location of all the traps letting you know which loops are safe and which aren't.

I think a few things may help with this:
1. Put a time severe time limit on when they can search for lobbys again.
2. If they DC on the hook, or in the killers arms, for a period of time all other survivor who were not SWF with DCer actions are boosted a % in speed. This is due to the fact that the way the game was intended to be played, survivors are supposed to get some reprieve while the killer handles a survivor. If they DC right away, there is no carry, no struggle - its a bonus to the killer and a penalty to all that players team mates. This doesn't necessarily discourage DCing, but at least it helps make the game a bit more enjoyable for those remaining.I really like the second idea. Then again you could just have the character remain in the killers arms and have him able to hook them. This means the killers get his points and survivors get the time lost by that player.
-
A warning against stealthy playstyles if your team goes down fast you might want to take the aggro of the killer if you want to escape. I meet many incompetent survivours who at rank 1 do not know how to use the killers red stain in a chase and end up getting downed fast. Be wary of killers who are smart and will drop chases they will look for better places to chase you or deal with you later after your team is dead. The best advice i can offer in this situation is too get good at gen rushing if the killers ignoring you.
Also toxic behaviour like t-bagging and clicking the flashlight easily alerts killers that your a bad idea to chase so if you want to aggro the killer stand in view of the killer but dont piss them off. Two reasons why. One you want to aggro the killer not aware him your a competent looper. Two if you continously piss of a killer they are more likely to facecamp you.
Go bold if your team needs it but work on all aspects of the game so you can get gens done fast if your team can handle the killer in a chase. -
I have a good win streak with freddy but that is using his best addons whenever i try to deviate from his best addons i tend to lose. Its a crying shame that this game can be so competitve rendering half of the addons on a lot of killers useless.BloodyNights said:My results 13 wins, 1 draw, and 1 loss. Playing as Michael Myers. And putting on scratched Mirror, and going to Lerry's I put on No one escapes Death. Over Nurses/Deer Stalker
10 wins = 4 kills
3 wins = 3 kills
draw was obviously 2 kills, and loss I actually didn't manage a kill.My loss was on the coldwind farm where it was extremely difficult to stalk, and my totem spawned next to a generator which also spawned next to two survivors. Who destroyed it before I could even walk over to them.
Over all I had a good time. I was trying to find these horror stories, of loopers and teabaggers. I had both but they didn't last very long. I never got flash light stunned while carrying a survivor because I paid attention to where I was. Doesn't mean they didn't try and fail though. I liked it when people body blocked as it was free hits for me, and more chances for nurses calling to go off. There are survivors out there who don't think much of the killer, but they usually ended up being the first I killed.
Anyways, who else is on a winning streak lately? -Does 360 spins on a Teabagger after downing them-

M&A is the corner stone on any hag build due to her tr. Devour hope is surprisingly common. Knock out is not very effective around swf groups. Espicially hag of all killers needs ruin. Your trap setting means your map pressure early on is non-existent as your laying traps. Typically devour hope may get smashed while running ruin but its a risk you have to take as games wil end extremly fast without it.Soren said:Hag is pretty versatile, and a lot of perks/builds are excellent on her - no need to run Ruin / NOED at all! In fact, the most effective builds are not especially the ones expected. Even Agitation is extremely powerful on her.
After the update, I will run M&A / Knock Out / Hex: Haunted Ground / Hex: Devour Hope ; I don't think that's your casual rank 1 Hag build ^^
Remember these meta builds exist for a reason. Which is because survivours at the top will rarely ever experiment outside of an exhaustion perk, self care, iron will/urban evasion and ds. Keep a running tally of what survivours are running if you don't believe me.
Hag is a strong killer with a good variety of add ons that for a long time were unuseable due to massive downsides. Freddy for example should never use class photo as dream transition is increased. That along with other addons like red paint brush shich lowers your ms which again is to much of a downside to work effectively.
The point im making is fin builds are not always available to every killer because usually the addons downside is too huge to be played in upper ranks. Which is a shame as i wouldnt mind seeing a few judith tombstone myers considering how dramtically it changes the game. -

I thought it was only a change when you're standing still and facing the pallet? I hope it's fixed though, tired of getting hit through pallets. I always felt bad when a EW3 hit a survivor when they stunned me like "That shouldn't have hit them but I'll take it".
I'm kinda dreading the next patch as a lot of m1 killers who already struggled with the pallet game are likely to lose a lot of hits. This may mean a resurgence of the sames killers every games which is not healthy for the survivor experience. However I will concede its nice to see the dev's close off some of the more obnoxious loops. So I'll have to wait to see what the game will be like.

Actually a meta isn't determined by a killer's strengh. If all Hags you face chose to stick to a specific meta you find boring, it's because they're not inventive. Not the fault of the character that has a pretty balanced skills/reward curve.
Not if the other builds are not viable. The strength of each build is incredibly important for instance Freddy's paint brush doesn't work well on high ranks as ambushing survivors and is useless against smart teams. Its better to maintain your movement speed and run time delay perks. Silent billy doesn't work either due to tr + a lot of maps are unfavorable for a slow charge billy chainsaw build. Its nice when you can experiment but dbds community is too competitive for fun builds unless you are a god at the game and are willing to suck up a large amount of losses with multiple copies of the adds on your using. Most of the cool meme's build require ultra rares so you better have some shadow wards or a large amount of the item stacked up.
-
Cool idea but this play-style is getting nerfed next patch. Survivors can bring their recover bar up to 95%. If you want to win slugging can be very effective but its doesn't make you a stronger killer you need to practice techniques like hiding the red stain around pallets and making maximum use of your lunge. Its also really boring to play against. I agree survivors are very strong against wraith its not impossible to win against high rank survivors if you optimize your builds and can mind-game your opponents. sloppy butcher plus nurses and ruin is insanely powerful. Throw save the best for last on top of those perks and you can get some real momentum going.
-
I got disagree on the leather face one. He in my opinion has the best mori. Smacking the survivour on the head is unnecessarily cruel before sawing the survivour down the middle. With his famous scream and victory gesture i definitely think its got the most personality of all the moris. Fun fact after hitting the survivour he drops his hammer on the ground which just adds another cool feature.
-
Ok heres my idea on the rbt timer. Why not add additional seconds but make it so the traps speeds up whenever an additional gen is completed. You might argue players will 99% gens and that would still be a hinderance as the pig player could run pop goes the weasel or start applying pressure and regress gens to force gens completion.
Not only from a gameplay perspective does this apply greater tension but it also fits the saw series where players trapped in the games can influence the live of other players by their actions. -
Even true can pip with garbage teammates and he was running no mither. Escaping is not always possible but you definitely can pip. Their are plenty of garbage killers in the high ranks as it is easier to rank up as survivour but you do get killers who rely too much on camping to a point where survivours will just get gens while killer patrols around the hooked surviour.

Honestly with all the changes to hooks and killer movement speed while carrying a survivor and the existance of Hangman's Trick they could probably just reimplement pre-nerf Sabo and it would be fine.
But they won't do that because Killer mains will cry about having to use a perk to counter obvious strats, just like how they cry about Flashlights even though Lightborn renders them completely useless.Old sabo created the most despised meta in DBD history. The slug meta. This meta created incredibly toxic killer builds where the killer usually nurse or hillbilly. Would knock down all survivors and not hook until all 4 players were down. This meta had many survivors players spend entire games on the floor when if they could have been hooked they could have still been rescued and had some chance to play the game. Old sabo should never come back the same reason a killer should never be able to permanently remove a gen from the game. It breaks the victory conditions of one side. Some one in a youtube comment had an even better idea for sabo imo. Make the sabo hook not break but grant a free attempt escape for any survivors hooked on it. The entity still progresses but players now don't have to worry about saving someone provided its their first time hooked. After the attempt escape the hook breaks as normal.

What annoys me about some survivours players is they call for nerfs to killer because in their view only survivoirs is getting nerfed. Despite the fact that machine gun huntress got nerfed along with insta saw billy. Their also buffing pallets dropping so you get a faster drop. There increasing the recover bar cap on slugged survivours. There improving sabo too.
But go on tell me how the survivours role is the only getting nerfed. Because from what i see the best killers are getting nerfed and the worst killers are getting buffed that seems fair to me. If we did nerf ruin it would make only some killers viable in the higher ranks. Killers like pig, doctor and freddy need ruin to have even a small amount of time. -
Iridescent hatchets huntress is the most overated garbage I ever hear survivours complain about. If your bad at looping a huntress or dodging hatchets then their terrifying but a huntress has to sacrifice badly needed wind up and cooldown time add ons which are badly needed if you dont want to get looped to #########. Id rather use a shadow ward on ny flower babushkas and infantry belts then run a meme add on like iridescent heads.
When your going through loops you wont realise how hard it is to catch survivours at windows with huntress hatchets when the wind up is so long. I'm fine with her add ons currently but the only thing that makes iridescent heads strong is survivours who dc the minute there hit. Seriously these hatchets strongest power is intimidating survivours into dcing.
As for nurse it is possible to juke her but you need to run stealth perks premonition, spine chill, urban evasion and iron will. Ds and adrenaline is uselesss against a nurse anti nurse perks include perks like premonition, dead hard, urban evasion and iron will. These perks will carry you much further. Self care is still good but make sure you know the nurse has left the area your healing. In chase when caught hug debris to fk the nurses blink. Always try to break her ability to see you by ducking behind walls building etc and do not run to pallets a nurse will always know your running to a pallet and will know well how to hit you there. Using these tactics a nurse at your rank will massively struggle in the higher ranks its all about buying as much time as you can. -
Preach it brother. Leatherface as a killer is absolutly terrible on the chase. His saw has a higher ms reduction speed then the hillbilly and his saw power is only useable at point blank or short range which is why most leatherfaces patrol sticking reasonably close to hooked survivours. Hes heavily add on dependant but his basement defense is the best in the game due to enclosed spaces.Master said:@AmbiiguousJayy said:
wondering what The Cannibal mains play style is?

He also garners the most hate of all the killers in the game due to his camping playstyle. In my opinion he as a killers gets old really fast as he has only one good playstyle. His ability to win chases is one of the worst and his map control is abysmal as he is incredibly slow. This is the type of killer I play if i'm ever pissed off with some of the maps in the game. As you can get away from all the obnoxipus loops by dragging all the survivours to the basement.
I would recomend pretty much any killer besides leatherface as he has the most limiting playstyle in the game without a doubt. -
Are you aware of the genre of game your playing. It horror dimensions of awful with cruelty and exploitative content. This is the lifeblood of the genre. Would you have Myers removed because him murdering people in a suburban environment is too real. I wouldn't because that's what makes the terror all the more sweeter that it could actually happen. A figure like myers is way more realistic and yet no one complained about him.

First, sorry about my bad English but I really have to tell my opinion.
I really liked playing DBD and I loved it.
BUT I've loved Dead by daylight until the new killer comes out.I love her blue skin, broken joints, luxuriant hair, and the fact that the father who killed her isn't the killer.
When I saw the new killer, I was disappointed to DBD developers.
So far, DBD developers hasn't given a sexual objectification to female characters. ( Hag is stripped but does not feel sexual because she does not look human. )I mean, why did you give her a sexual objectification? She looks almost like a corpse.
Her trailer, her body, her body-painting bandages ( If you were gonna put on a bandage, you should have done it like wraith), her lack back story unlike other killers , breast bouncing, her standing motion are terrible ideas.I even thought DBD developers were different from those who designed the huntress, nurse, and hag.
Don't ask me why I didn't say anything about David. He's a fighter. His clothes are not out of character and doesn't have sex appeal. So don't mention it. But she's dead. Why is the mutilation murdered daughter wearing only a bandage ( even little )? You said she was a college student. Why didn't you put her in normal clothes? If you were gonna put a bandage on her, you should have put more bandages on her.Well, there's a lot of people out here in the debate saying that it's crazy to see dead bodies sexually, and they're telling her she's sexy. It's ironic, isn't it? I've always thanked you for giving us a variety of back story and no sexual designs even they were female killer. But now, you are not. At least you need to modify her costumes and get rid of her breast bouncing ( Kate too ). Lastly, you will need to add more back stories to support her.
Because you're smart, I'm sure you understand. If she come to original server like this, I will be really angry and quit playing games with disappointed mind ( to DBD developers ). It's not a threat, it's a notification. You've done a great job so far, and I hope this time you can improve. I want you to go back to your original mind ( initial DBD ) , and don't lose it. I hope it's an opportunity for you to reflect on yourself.
The horror genre roots run deep in uncomfortable topics unafraid of Exploring touchy subjects sextuality in all its form was the place many great horror movies are based on. The film "It follows" for instance. If you believe its exclusive to women you would be quite wrong. Watch the second nightmare on elm street if you want to see a story centered on a man who is given a lot of attention in scenes where hes barely clothed and is suffering an internal struggle. The bandages on the spirit do not cover her entirely as if it did it would not contain horrible body horror of shards of glass sticking out of her damaged body. Not only is her look terrifying but it is also a nice homage to the evil spirit design you would see in films like the grudge.

Y'all are complaining about the characters look well boys and girls it wont matter what your skin colour nationality or gender, because ill still enjoy slicing you wide open and showing you all were all the same on the inside XD. Seriously though I like the idea were getting a teacher as a survivor for dbd. His backstory is sincere honest and unique from the rest of the characters. People keep comparing him to tapp but hes a lot different. Hes a more withdrawn character with an academic background also hes not a licensed survivor so we can get cosmetics for him unlike tapp. We kinda do have our cutesey Asian character and that's feng min who is getting a bunny outfit anyways so I definitely think this is for the best we get a nerdy academic character.

Advice don't ever rely on others to help when your down to the last 2 survivors. The true survivor colors show very clearly and often they will preserve their own life. Especially survivors who run DS they tend to play the hatch game the minute the survivors are whittled down to 2 left. I can't deny it brings me immense satisfaction to see I as a killer have put this fear in survivors. If they made the hatch mechanic less powerful survivors might actually help each other out. But why would we nerf the hatch mechanic its perfect for sorting the coward clever players who sacrifice their friends from the foolish brave altruistic survivors who believe they can escape together.
-
I care not for the allegations as that stuff should be settled in a court. But as a player he promotes a playstyle that is bad. Im not saying its toxic im saying its bad. If you follow the killer trying to get flashlight saves your often wasting time that could have been spent getting a gen done and giving the chased survivour a better chance of escaping. Too often i have seen these so called pleberinos chase after me while im hunting their friends failing saves because walls and buying me time they could have spent getting a gen done.

At the end of nearly every nightmare on elm street he is pulled into the real world. Nancy does it in the original and the remake hence why he loses access to his dream demon power. We can still maintain the tracking but pulling hin out of stealth and capable of hitting survivours at exits gates without dream transitioning is thematiclly accurate and a massive help to his late game. I would honestly settle for just stopping actions during dream transition it would make his power range add on ways more effective. The escape via heal check needs to go tho.Dabrownman1812 said:Being visible while awake breaks the mythology -
Thats mostly mist it tends to slow the performance of your pc. Freddy is only weak because of self care and being extremly loopable around a large number of pallets where mindgames are limited. The self care issue is a serious hinderance to the killer and the de pip squad when doing their perkless investigation found freddy was much more dangerous as none of if them had self care.
He also has the trap of making you think an end game build is good for freddy considering all of his perks are end game perks, Its not a good idea. You need to keep the game slowed down using perks like sloppy butcher, ruin and huntress lullaby. Break chase often and use your reverse deerstalker power to ambush survivours if you fail to get the drop pn them the first time you sleeped them. Try to tag all the survivours you find while in chase.
Hes also one of the best sluggers in the game but this is hard to execute a lot of the time as co ordinated teams will relay information on your position and there position. -
I don't care about surviving i will fight to get as many gens as i can get its worth it to keep going at 2 ppl as you can pick up more emblems and points if you continue to do gens just play safer around the killers tr hide the minute you hear the killers tr and move on to another gen if they are coming back. I have pipped way more often sticking aroudn and working gens then waiting for someone to die.

Just why? I'm met with anger and laughter, both are just as humiliating as the tbagging itself.
I don't camp hooks so idk y ppl do insist on doing it. I don't want some BS answer like an dumb joker quote, or tell me to ignore it, or tell me bc the internet is a place where u can act any way u want and get away with it. I'm so sick of never getting any genuine answers.
Ok history lesson in fighting games there was huge conflict over smack talking each other. Some saw as a sign of disrespect others say it was a strategy to tilt the opponent into playing badly. Muhammad ali popularized the tactic in boxing often inciting his opponents to act aggressively so they were easier to predict. Honestly its a ######### strat that kinda spits in the face of good sportsmanship. But some people don't care whatever it takes to win they'll do it. My advice pay them no heed and remember as killer to hunt the weak first the strong later. Dont let a teabagger piss you off get your hit at the exit gate and let em move along don't feed em by giving em a reaction just gg and move on you will be a better killer for it and a stronger one ^ ^.

Mindgames bois mindgames you need to hide your red stain around pallets and make maximum range of lunge. Best add ons are dream transition reduction. Dress add ons are too rng to work. Class photo and pill bottle is a brutal combo. Infinitish loops like the house in ironworks requires cutting off survivour at the vault location and praying their stupid enough to vault through.
Tag other people whenever you can as it slows the game down. For perks run huntress lulaby, ruin, save the best for last and bambozle. Ruin to slow the game down just a little bit. Huntress lulaby as the regresion penalty is increased making breaking out of the dream world have additional consequnces.save the best for last as you can get extra hits in with a few stacks on it.
In a game you want to have one player gone before 2 gens are left so begin tunneling the weakest by the third gen mark if you are struggling. When hooking patrol nearby gens to find other survivours but dont be afraid to check on the hooked survivour. If you catch the survivour unhooking tag both and go for the one that is going to an unsafe part of the map. If possible avoid tunneling early as it will pressure survivours to speed up gens and that will ultimatly screw you.
During chase dont be afraid to break the chase as you can ambush em later with your built in reverse deerstalker then creep on them stay out of their field of view for a suprise hit.
In the endgame you can tag survivours but avoid hitting them unless there on a door. As survivours will have no means to wake up except other survivours who are not sleep.
Alternate perk options include sloppy butcher which slows down the game massively if you spread the damage out. Noed is incredinly powerful on freddy but since i view it as a crutch perk i dont recomend relying on it. Blood warden is fun when the survivours arent playing around it which they will at higher ranks.

As @245_Trioxin has said, taunting you with the flashlight and t-bagging is an ass behaviour, but 360s are not toxic at all, you just need to get better (i dont mean this in a bad way at all).
I've said this many times, but i'll say it again: not everything that bothers you is toxic, just because you find it annoying doesnt mean that survivor needs to get facecamped, so learn to tell the difference between a toxic behaviour and skills which annoy you.
This is a pvp game and i know you like to be succesful, but if you are gonna get mad for stuff like that you are not gonna enjoy the main purpose of a game, which is to have fun.Honestly the slower it takes to climb to rank 1 the better ways of having fun as many fun meme build just don't work in the higher ranks this is for both survivor and killer. I luv to start my rank reset with a scratch mirror myers or tombstone myers every rank reset because i know i will never get the time in a high rank build to get this to work. Or dare i say it the insidious leatherface build. I agree the build is toxic as fk and pretty bad around smart people but it so much fun to play this horribly cruel build at rank reset.

Gentlemen this is what we call fatigue. If you hate complaining just play the game. The problems with swf in DBD is that de-pip squad released a play-style that is unbeatable in the current meta. Now people are using this technique to crush all the killers. The devs haven't done anything to limit this strat and as a result you have high rank players getting 3 min long games. This is a blatantly broken strategy in the game that you haven't experienced enough to understand that queuing up for 5 mins of waiting for a 3 min games is ridiculous. People will argue that this is not the case that not everyone is doing this that only a small percentage are using and there right to a degree. Its can only become more often encountered as the strat becomes more and more popularized. But do go on explain how inaction is going to make this game more enjoyable. Btw i wouldn't be knocking the strat if i didn't try it and i can say with certainty this strat is broken.

-
I like the ideas. Thematically this a massive improvement on his kit the micro sleeps (hallucinations) are a welcome change. Self care has to be changed tho its too much of a meta perk for Freddy to overcome the ease at which survivors exit the dream world.
-
Bad idea if a hook is close to a gen a survivor could safely pump out a gen close by. As the killer would have to respond by entering your no camp radius.
Why is it always a beat with stick approach when it come to fixing camping? Reward the killer for spreading damage out perks like devour hope are great for this. Make it so being hooked afflicts survivors with reduced gen progression. If you keep nerfing killers you will make them just want to camp more and circumvent your ideas.
The last time an anti camping idea was put in place was to reduce gen times for survivors guess what that screwed over your average hunting killer and now top tier killers with low mobility now have to adopt a patrol playstyle to maintain enough hook pressure to slow the game down. which isn't fun for survivor or killer. Reward the killer for not camping the survivor. Survivor is already a ridiculously powerful role. -
Ah yes make your choice I find its hilarious how you can be called a tunneler when using this perk when the player who is exposed immediately bolts before healing the injured survivor. I mean you made your choice leaving your ally vulnerable and easier to track and closer to death or risk your own hide and take the aggro of the killer. It never surprises me how people play when this perk is in play leaving the injured loud survivor to fend for themselves.Tsulan said:@Zarathos said:
Honestly reward proactive killers make being hooked as a survivor carry a permanent debuff for the trial that reduces action speed or gen progression. This make tunneling less optimum as you will be rewarded better for hunting other targets.Every time devs try to come down on camping it's only made killers more toxic. This idea slows the game down which is badly needed. Promotes anti tunneling which this game could do with and plays better into the theme of the entity slowly devouring your strength and hope.
It´s not that killers become more toxic. But most killers are fed up to be called out on using non camping perks like BBQ and MYC and still be called a camper.
But back to your point let's not pretend killers aren't getting toxic. I have seen enough from both groups to see that both killer and survivor are often playing incredibly toxic builds. The insidious leatherface builds and tunneling face camping killers are as common as your average ds player. Every killer and survivor is reciporacaiting their toxicity which isn't healthy for the community.
My idea above is simply a reason to encourage players to be more active in their hunts as it is not rewarding to hunt in DBD. As a killer it's all about maintaining hook pressure and keeping certain gens protected. Rushing survivors or "tunneling" players out of the game is mandatory in order to slow the game down. I blame the meta of rushing gens. Not bothering with totems and blitzing through gens if killers could have some better means for slowing down gen progression beside blatantly crap perks. Making hook afflict survivors with slower repair speed give a killer a reason to pursue other players instead of just tunneling one out of the game. -

You pip way faster making smart saves not dumb saves. If someone tries to save you and your getting face camped they will likely lose altruism or their own life. Your style of play does not aim to lose the killer which is a problem as killers aren't ai driven programs there people who get angry and will punish whoever pissed them off.TheLegendDyl4n1 said:@Zarathos said:

Why git gud when you can instead complain, project power, review bomb and get what you want anyway without any practising its also the killers. why do you think they changed it in the first place? What are you talking about?
You think the killer problems are a git gud issue? Take a look at the official tournament games where a non-nurse killer has been played Full of bullshit. This guy in the video doesn't even know how to properly play killer. He acts like he never versed a team, where all you can do, is loose. I faced him long ago and believe me, he does know how to play as a killer. I didn't know him by that time, a friend told me who was he after the match.
You will believe what u want at the end, you just dont want to admit what the video says because counters all your excuses.
If he plays a weak killer and got a map not in his favor, he won't stand a chance againt a "good" swf with voice comm.
He explains how to player killer well, I know all the strats, because I use it for my own.
But he explained the flashlight issue completely wrong and he explained the gen rushing issue completely wrong.
Flashlights were overpowered as hell before the pickup speed change, especially for killers like Huntress or Hag.
You won't have major issues with Hillbilly or Nurse with flashlights of course, but with every other (not viable high mobility) killer.
Survivors don't die in a wall normally in SWF, so this is not even an option. (They most likely have all DS)
You can waste a perk slot or accept the free rescue. (Flashlight saves while picking up and not being able to move yet seemed to be a network issue anyway, like freezing on objects before being able to use them)
Gen rushing is no survivor spawn issues or a bad map pressure issue.
It's there because the gen timer is a constant value not affected by how many players are alive.
If you don't play an overpowered killer, you don't stand a chance against gen rushing.
Basically you have to down and hook a survivor before 1-2 gens are popped to even stand a chance against good survivors.
If the map is not in your favor, you are screwed when there is no possibility for a 3 gen strat.
I still manage to get 3-4k nearly every game as killer.
Even with extremely bad killers.
I don't like the high tier killers, I prefer mid-low tier killers like the pig, the wraith, the shape etc.
For me the game is no fun getting gen rushed by a 4 swf with flashlights and dstrike.
He represented these 2 issues completely wrong. (or only for the 2 top tier killers)
In the video he talks about this kind of swf pro squads, and he says 2 important things:
1-That facing them as a killer doesnt happen as often as many killer mains try to make us think.
2-That even being a top tier squad, everyone makes mistakes, and if they dont make any mistake and do everything perfectly they honestly deserve to live.
I agree with both points.
Sometimes survivors die in a matter of seconds, sometimes killers get 0 K. We just gotta deal with that and move on to the next match.Buddy post rank 5 it's nothing but swf unless your dodging them. You will rarely encounter solo players. On pc if your in the higher ranks killers typically dodge swf groups leaving players like myself to takem on. I don't mind this were it not for players brazenly believing swf is not broken as fk.
Point 2 would be acceptable if it was easy to mess up but many maps are survivor sided with the exception of the game. Blatantly exploitable loops in maps with very limited counterplay. It's really hard to fk up survivor as many pallets are ridiculously safe with no opportunity to mind game.
The man's advises killers to target a weak link breaking chases until you find a weak player who may or may not be in the game. He claims rng make dbd as a competitive game impossible. Not like a card game like hearthstone doesn't have a competitive scene oh wait. Doesn't address the terrible totem spawns and claims this game should be a party game, balancing is pointless.
Then he sell short the dmg ds has on the killer claiming it dosent appear to often just yesterday 85% of my games had at least on ds player in it.
His arguments are pathetically flawed he thinks killer should only be reactive never proactive which is a massive limitation to the role. I say respect the man's opinion but don't buy his submissive tone. Dbd has created proactive killers like huntress, nurse and Billy it can bring the rest of the killers up to that level but it has to stop making the depth of survivor gameplay patheticly low. Pallets need to have more loops where killers can mind game them less simple autohaven loops.
Give killers more time to work or as I have said many time before segregate swf and solo player experiences. Create an incentive to play it ie killers get an additional perk slot or bonus BP. Increase the times on gens in swf mode. Reduce the effectiveness of toolboxes.
one point of this i want to correct is that at rank 3 i dont use ds and no one else i play with usually does either cause their is no obsession in game. but thats probably cause i am rank 3 solo with rank 10 survivors and a rank `15 killer on console. i run a flashlight if the killer doesn't dodge i get in if i dont get chased for and another person gets downed and i am their cause of empathy and i save the player with the flashlight since i had sprint burst in order to get in front of the killer and save them the killer then goes after me i go from palette to palette and if he leaves me i continue to flashlight save and if he doesn't and chases me all game i end up getting injured and keep running to palette to palette while my team does the gens my adrenaline saves me or i am on the ground and it picks me up or puts me from injured to healthy unless i get picked up and it gets wasted while i am getting brought to a hook and the killer hooks me and usually camps if he does. if not the killer chases me and my stupid teammates didn't open the exit gate i went to so i get downed or i get immediate downed because the killer has noed and i get camped till death. in both situations some survivors have already left or they leave me after i get downed. the chance of them leaving me is 95% if noed is still up. and i get killed. the problem with the game is SWF but getting rid of it wont fix the problem they need to add a reason for survivors to save people on the hook like i dont know if you dont save someone on the hook before struggle and then they die maybe take one of the the survivors perks away at random unless the killer is camping (like in a certain meter range of the survivor for long periods of time) i dont know the survivors need a reason to save a survivor other than BP because you can still pip without the points from helping people
Players like myself who are made of sterner stuff will focus on your teammates and wait till later on before hunting you. We know how to play around flashlights baiting out your sprint burst then smack you in the open. I actually like it when I have players like yourself as it means that you always have 2 people off a gen while chasing someone that isn't you.
Some killers will stupidly chase or not play around the flashlights in which case the killer needs to wisen up. Flashlights in time will go the way of sabo once killers have learned to play around flashlights.

I get we got all kinds of morons playing both sides but don't embrace the toxicity the toxic players don't deserve extra attention just hook'em and maybe mori em but if you let em know their bothering you its only going to empower them. You need to address the cocky killers and survivors with a simple goal crushing them by winning the game. Toxic players wouldn't exist if you didn't feed em so stop feeding them. You could try and maliciously piss them off throwing the game just to get some vengeance or you could win the game drop your gg and be the bigger person. Also t-baggers tend to be good loopers but terrible on gens. If you ignore them and hunt their friends you can do a whole lot better in your games. After all wouldn't you want to save the best for last? XD

The next patch with swifter pallet drops is not hurting Billy nurse or Anna though. It's hurting killers like leatherface Freddy and the doctor. What annoys me about his point is the tone that killers aren't allowed to be proactive. Instead always reacting to a mistake.SteveyHooves said:I've seen this video and watch a lot of his videos because I'm an Anna main. So I feel he makes some points because there more Killers and Survivors to come out meaning there perks and will nerfed or buffed along side other perks. so killers will probably need balance changes as well. It's just the nature of games with abilities/perks. It requires constant mediation. Waiting till they find people who learn ways to break the changes they made and that's one reason why I can sorta agree. Well that's my 2 cents
The nurse is the best example of a proactive killer she can blink in and out of positions forcing survivors to play less around pallets the doctors stun would count too if it wasn't so damn buggy or as I said before pallets were more mindgameable. The pigs dash could be that too but it's heavily reliant on you having certain add ons. Once they run out you have to go back to basic killer pallet mechanics praying survivours mess up.
Not only that but the devs are too slow on correcting killer issues. May I bring up the classic Freddy problem. Self care hard counters him and considering every survivours build runs this perk it's frankly unacceptable. Meanwhile they release a killer with a mandatory perk oh I don't know bamboozle to cover up their ######### map design then ds this perks has been left untouched despite the ridiculous advantage it provides survivours.
This is not even incompetence this is negligence. This person's opinion doesn't Stoke proactive changes it just apologises for terrible map and perk designs. His attitude to keeping it casual and claiming that optimum killers can never compete against optimum survivours is bang out of order and negatively impacts current and future killer kit designs.
Killers like the clown are a step in the right direction someone who can force survivours into poor positions and rewards good aim and solid map knowledge its only a matter of going over older weaker killers and bringing them up to a decent standards moba's do this all the time uprooting a characters kit and giving them a fresh similar kit with greater depth and nuance. Whats stopping DBD? -
OK heres a fix for blood warden double the time of bw and make it so it procs immediately after hooking when the last gen is done. If the double time is too much make it increase by 15-30 second to compensate for gate opening time.
-
I had a weird game where ace was in struggle phase I hooked him recently and straight after hooking him the Laurie farmed him. So there was the cutie ace standing still accepting the death and I immediately turn on the Laurie knock her ass down and killed her off. I let the rest of the team farm and ace got hatch. Turns out it was an swf group but irregardless that Laurie was bang out of order. I wasn't playing friendly up until she unhooked the ace.
