Thanks. I'm on Xbox. So how is she ?
Not too bad. Definitely not gutted like everyone seems to think.

Please, when the Nurse will take the nerve ?
The PTB is out now on PC. The changes will probably go live next week.

Hag and Freddy are considered barely viable at high ranks.
This change just puts Spirit at #1 and Billy at #2. And these Nurse changes are hated. Mark my words they won't make it off the PTB like this.
Alright, let's open up this PTB and see how bad the nurse really is.

"Add-on reliant" means the killer needs add-ons to be viable at the highest levels of play. Which is EXACTLY where Nurse is gonna land. And it's all bc of the damned base kit change.
Revert the base kit change and the feedback to this would have been overwhelmingly positive.
Alright, so if there were no add-ons to consider, I'd argue that nurse would still be better than most killers. Maybe spirit could be better, but nurse would definitely be better than hag or freddy.

If you do the math you'll know that she's gonna be an add-on reliant killer now. Base Nurse was perfectly fine, it was her add-ons that were the issue.
I agree with that second statement, but I'm trying to look on the bright side of things, since we've already got more than enough complainers before the PTB has even been released. What is your definition of "add-on reliant"? Because it seems like you mean she can only be at her full strength with add-ons, which would describe every killer.
-
@PickCollins said:
Yeah that's a problem. We need LESS add-on reliant killers, not more of them.
Nurse doesn't rely on add-ons. She's a high tier without them. Add-ons make her stronger, as they should. That's like saying she was add-on reliant before this change because she's weaker without omegablink.

Congrats. She becomes an add-on reliant killer like every other mid/low tier killer.
I think you're overreacting. She's about as reliant on add-ons as hag or spirit. We can't tell whether she'll still be the supreme queen of killers, but she's still high tier just for her high mobility and ability to ignore loops.

Base kit change is crippling.
There's a 2.5 fatigue time for 2 blinks. That's enough time for a Survivior to get 9 meters away. She needs to then wait 3.5 seconds to blink again, there's an additional 14 meters.
Nurse needs to cover a 23 meter difference for missing one chainblink, and that's the equivalent of 2 blinks, one of which being fully charged.
That is a crippling change if I've ever seen one. That's worse than any nerf Pig or Legion has ever gotten.
With both recharge add-ons she'll have her first blink right away and her second blink will take 0.5 seconds to recharge.
-
I guess you could combo it with the Undetectable add-on so you can sneak up on another survivor without making blink noises.
-
I think it's possible for you to become the obsession, but only if you run a bunch of perks that increase your chances.
-
Also, where's devotion 0?
-
I got this game in early 2017 but didn't start playing it until last Halloween so I don't have much devotion...

Hey, I don't remember giving someone permission to take photos of me.

Resilience is more useful for several reasons. Not only does it increase repair speed, but also the speed at which others heal you and your vaulting speed (which will save you from a lot of hits). It's the only perk other than Spine Chill that increases vaulting speed (and they do stack). It's a much better perk than This Is Not Happening overall.

Nah, I am left handed and it's ok for me, besides that means they need to re-do some of the animations again just for one survivor. Besides it's not like it have some impact in-game.
It wouldn't be that much different. They'd just need to put the item in the other hand. Most animations don't really show the item when it's used.
Would be nice if the Diversion animation was changed too though (Assuming the pebble is thrown with the right hand normally but I don't remember).
-
You said you were using Tombstone? I'm guessing it was the Tombstone + Fragrant Tuft of Hair combo (both red add-ons). Any survivor team worth their salt could easily complete 5 gens before you reach Tier 3. And even if they don't, there are so many ways to counter it. Get in a locker, stay at a pallet, vault windows, repair a gen (they could be downed or grabbed, but not killed instantly). And considering you probably didn't know to use PWYF, you were probably super slow and easily loopable.
So either they were hyper altruistic (I don't even know how you would do that with Tombstone Myers, he doesn't usually hook people), just plain bad, or they let you win.

@bootstr said:
Thats my point. I'm new and these guys have been playing for years. With everyone open to picking any tier perk I destroyed them without any effort.
Myers tombstone said "ultra rare". I guess that means its not easily picked up. I dont know, I am not playing killers atm.
Your playing against bots in EVERY multiplayer game, your just ignorant to it.
They can be set to any skill level or behavior pattern and can be switched on the fly. Read up on tensorflow, ajax and if you care to, read up on the league of legend "team" that easily destroys the best players in 5v5 but the 1v1 video is more interesting.
For example, if I wanted to script a survivor, spine chill and premonition, character walks or crouches towards an area, starts to repair while spinning camera in 360. when it pops immediately walks away from area... simple start for a script for this game. its not exactly like it is needing to pretend to be a human with text.
If you don't think people have been botting in games your delusional. It is actually funner then playing the game after your good at it.
That bot would easily die to Tier 1 Myers, since he's immune to detection perks.
The bots we get in this game are doctors that continuously shock and swing their weapon.
And I'm pretty sure there aren't as many bots as you think, considering that they probably wouldn't be talking in the chat.
Edit: Also, those survivors either let you win or are complete potatoes. Pretty much everyone who has played this game for long enough knows that it's not killer sided.
-
I usually down them, leave to find hatch, close it, and try to catch them again if they have adrenaline. Keeps things entertaining.

Well I can't really Say anything for Wraith that's just how his kit work but it wouldn't be much different from now. It would just make premonition a good perk on its own instead of needing spinechill.
It might make it too powerful though, to the point where there's no good reason to choose spine chill over it other than vault speed, or any other killer detection perk for that matter.
-
I want the cosmetic to be a shirt that says "STAY WOTE"
-
I don't think it needs a rework. If they at least removed the 50% condition and maybe increased how long the exhaustion lingers, it would be fine.
-
"The endgame is unfair to all parties."
Ok, interesting. I wonder what this guy means by that.
"It only punishes survivors"
Wait, what?
-
Yeah 3 peopled DC'd the other day, and I got hatch. Killer and I both depipped. That's pretty dumb.
-
@Mr_K said:
I don't think it would.
Only time PWYF was good was on release. It was bugged that hitting your obsession was the same as losing chase so you gain a token. The speed boost was also higher.
Now the only good use is T3 Myer's with a tombstone (full or piece).
Clearly you haven't tried it on Bubba.
-
I thought this would be about DLC and buying stuff that actually affects the game, but cosmetics? You can get most of those with shards. Didn't spend a penny on Ace's eyepatch or Rin's school uniform.

Hag (is she a dlc character ? I can't remember)

-Hex: Toth (Hag or Huntress)
-Hex haunted ground (first dlc perk)
-Bbq (From the shrine)
Guessing you play console since Feng/Doc and Hag/Ace aren't free on PC.

Do like League of Legends. You can't play another match until the one you abandoned is over. And the more you DC, the longer your time penalty is.
In League, if you AFK or DC from a match, you have to wait for 5 minutes before you're even allowed to jump into a queue. And then it goes up from there until you have to wait 30 minutes before you're even allowed to queue up.
That's actually a good idea. Then if two people DC they get to watch me farm with the remaining survivors lol
-
> "I just suicide on the hook"
Any sympathy I might have had for you has now vanished. As both a killer and survivor, I hate it when people kill themselves on hook. Just as bad as the people who DC imo.
-
Clown and Legion. I think those are the only two that could be combined that would still make a weak killer.

Do you like situation like now when the only difference between survivors is size, voice, skin?
...Yes?
-
Hitting a survivor on a hook removes 10% of their timer.
-
I just went against a slugging omega blink nurse for the first time yesterday and now I really wouldn't want that perk to exist. I think slug builds have enough perks as it is.
I mean, I had fun somehow (I guess carrying the team against a slugging nurse is fun to me for some reason) but if she had that perk I definitely would have depipped and we probably wouldn't have even gotten a gen done.
-
Neither are game-breaking and neither really need a nerf, but adrenaline has more potential to be OP if all 4 survivors are running it.
-
I enjoy killer more, but I've been playing more survivor since I only need to get all the perks on one character to be able to try any build I want, and I've been trying a lot of different builds. Still waiting on getting higher levels of certain perks on my killers.
-
For some reason I imagined Senator Armstrong before reading the post.

Also, pretty sure your examples are Ghostface and Pig.
And wraith, and Demogorgon after leaving his portal.
-
Could see some use in anti-slug builds and certain SWF groups with flashlights and insta-heals. The insta-heals with that perk might be a bit too powerful, now that I think about it.

Again this rework isn't an aura reading. It only would pop the black circle once not the red aura.
I am fully aware that it's not an aura. That just means stealth killers will not be able to counter it. And even if it's not an aura it still gives away the exact location for free.
-
So the killer only moves at 110% speed and his main ability is basically a Demogorgon lunge? That might end up being too weak, even with an exposed effect (especially since the devs want special attacks and lunges to not be affected by exposed).
"You'll float too" is a bit too strong. You can tunnel/Mori someone and you'll have a permanent speed increase.
The Hex is a bit strong, even for a hex, with a permanent pop goes the weasel effect (PGTW is a top tier perk on its own, and this hex is way better).
Also, power recharge speed from a perk effect is a bit awkward and wouldn't work for many killers. They changed Tinkerer for a similar reason.
-

Those perks already reveal stealth killers, except Myers.
OoO reveal the aura of the killer.
Stealth killers will be changed to prevent aura reading, though.
And I know object reveals auras, but it has the trade-off of revealing your own location and it doesn't work in terror radius.
This perk would let you know exactly where the killer is for free and the killer wouldn't know or have any way of countering it.

A lot of perks give the killer exact location. Beside, it wouldn't be an aura reveal but rather similar to those dark circle the crow send when using "Spies from the shadows"
Okay, but this is basically a lesser version of object with no downside. And it would reveal stealth killers too (except myers), since it isn't an aura.
-
The clouds should last a lot longer. Then he could not only use it to completely shut down loops, but also throw one on a gen and know if someone goes near it after he leaves, like plague.
Maybe he could also throw one directly at a gen to make it filled with gas, and the next survivor to touch it will release the gas.
Gen protection abilities would also combo well with Pop Goes The Weasel.
There should also be more of a reward for landing a direct hit with a bottle on a survivor.
-
I don't see much Clown, Wraith, or Bubba.

I am an oppressed left-handed person.

Not down with the dwight fan club huh?
I would rather not play against the same 1 down killers who run ultra rare items when im not even rank 10.
Dodge the scream mask guy successfully for 5 swipes, feeling a bit proud of myself for not immediately getting wounded, expose goes off, dead.
Or the multiple myers in a row who mori'd me.
point is, if you want to see how the killers are clearly in the advantage, i will use a killer i have never used in KYF, bring 4 people and watch as I destroy the team, even without using a 1 hit killer or mori's.
As it stands, from my massive and extensive testing of 4 hours of a 5 man voice group, at the highest levels of play the killer doesn't have to "worry" about 4 players.
---
Having more players on the field and more 1 more killer means people are more likely to get scared off of gens instead of 1 minute into the game and 3 get completed immediately.
----
A gamemode with random perks and/or no perks at a random 1/2/3 tier (and you can pick your character because it hardly matters... besides line of sight i guess) would be the real 'ranked' mode... I'd stream a skilled player who isn't running chosen perks for sure.
---
And not allowing perks would make it more difficult for scripted automated players due to the fact that spine chill and premonition aren't a guaranteed thing.
---
If you made it this far, add me on ps4 and lets give it a go.
random number generator with an array of all the survivor perks. either could code a snippet or just use random.org and line it up with a website that has all of them listed.
If he missed you five times, you either got chased for more than enough time or you just ran out in the open instead of getting to a loop.
And I almost never see Myers with tombstones. Guess that's a low rank thing.
Your KYF test isn't really valid because... it's KYF. How am I supposed to know if they don't just suck at playing survivor?
Then you start talking about how fast the gens go even though you claimed the game to be killer sided?
And what scripted automated players are you talking about? I've never seen a bot survivor in my life (just players who act like bots...).
