  • Interesting perk idea. I've had plenty of occasions where I couldn't find a locker to use one or more of my perks. The time requirement is nice too, so you can't just trick a killer for 3 seconds with Q&Q and head-on away as soon as they catch on.

  • Spine Chill is an excellent perk for stealthy playstyles.

Iron Will is also great for avoiding the killer while injured.

Calm Spirit counters Doctor and Infectious Fright.

Distortion is okay, but your stacks might be eaten up for breakfast.

Fixated and Urban Evasion are both great for stealthing away from the killer.

No Mither removes your bloodstains, but you're kinda screwed if you get found. Combine it with Iron Will + Resilience to get gens done faster and also last longer in chase with the faster vault speed (especially with Spine Chill).

Lightweight is an alright perk, but other perks might be more deserving of a slot.

Poised could be good with Sprint Burst so you can stealth away after getting a gen done.

So overall, I'd say Spine Chill + Iron Will + No Mither + Resilience would be great for getting gens done stealthily, but you'll be injured the entire game. The upside to this is that you will have super fast vault speed if you do get found.

A less risky alternative would be Spine Chill + Iron Will + Calm Spirit + Fixated/Urban. Note that Fixated doesn't work when you're injured.

Another interesting build is Spine Chill + Object of Obsession + Distortion + Sprint Burst. Avoid looking at the killer while you're doing a gen until Spine Chill goes off. Then find where they are with Object to activate distortion (which also removes your scratch marks) and Sprint Burst away. The only problem with this is that you can only do this 3 times.

    This!

I add ; Nurse needs to see where she teleports by default!

Well the last nerve is not that bad, it gives him more time to think, because we tend to use teleportation too quickly before this update.

However she needs to know where she is going, I find, and for that you need a RARE addon .. understand something? Not me !

Cheat? No! It's just to be able to know where we are going !!!

Plaid flannel will be a brown add-on, and it will also be built in to the red addon that gives you an extra blink but disables the ability to blink through walls.

  • @BloodyBunny said:

I usually dont use add ons the only one i do use add ons with is wraith with the bone clapper

I recently started using Ghost + Beast on Wraith. You have Terror Radius while cloaked, but it disappears for 6 seconds when you uncloak. It's very confusing.

  • 10% speed to fast vaults seems like a bit much. I've seen a survivor turn a TL wall by a shack window into a true infinite by using spine chill + resilience. Adding an extra 10% would make it virtually impossible to hit a survivor through a window.

I think the reason Head On is an exhaustion perk is so you can't just sprint burst + dance with me away.

  • I personally think Sloppy, Thana, Dying Light, and Ruin would be best. The survivors will never get anything done.

  • We need some better ways of getting information to solos. I don't think Kindred should be base, but the team's perks and item add-ons should be visible in the lobby. And all survivors should have smaller versions of the obsession claws around their icons so you would know when someone is being chased.

  • Just do the bones my guy.

If NOED's instadown had to be removed, I'd like it to have a bigger speed boost and a super quick attack cooldown. Machine-gunning people seems more fun than one-shotting them, even if it isn't quite as strong. Apparently I'm the only person who thinks that though :P

  • I main Myers and Ace, but I'll play other killers if I have a daily/archive mission, if there's a build I want to try, or if I just feel like playing the killer. The amount of time I actually play Myers is probably below 80% but I still consider myself a Myers main.

  • Instead of an instadown, I think it should have a really quick attack cooldown and a better speed boost, so it's still powerful but feels more fun to play with.

  • Depends on my build, the killer, and my teammates.

  • I like to spook people. Nothing makes me happier than when a survivor tells me how scared they were in the post-game chat.

  • Game balance wise, it should be a 2k average (yet if a killer gets a 2k they'll almost certainly depip but if a survivor dies they can still pip? Doesn't seem right to me).

Thematically, it should be a 3k so it's like a movie where the last survivor gets away but their friends all die.

  • Having no Terror Radius is nice, but I'd take immunity to spine chill over that if I had to choose between the two, since I could always go back to running M&A.

  • @gaydavidking said:

Spine chill and premonition are perks meant to counter stealth Killers specifically like Myers and they're not 100% accurate either, seems fair to make Myers immune to aura only detection perks. Give him SOME counterplay at least

The counterplay is paying attention and looping him. He's very slow and there are several spots to heal where you can see him coming and have plenty of time to get away, even in indoor maps. The element of surprise is all he has, so I don't agree with it being taken away.

It's done by having EW3 sitting at 99% and waiting for a survivor to stop and tea bag you. Then you stalk for less then a second and insta down them.

Waiting for a survivor to stop and tea bag you

So... wait for them to intentionally give you a free down? Sounds like a rank 20 survivor thing to do.

Kindred description: Kindred trumps any of the Killer’s stealth abilities.

The same description have Spine Chill and Premonition, that’s why I asked the question.

Spine Chill actually doesn't say that.

Kindred should still work on Undetectable killers, otherwise they'll have to change the description.

  • Greeting, fellow Ace main.

You could say that anything getting nerfed would make it only useable by good survivors. You mean the i-frames and not the distance, right? If anything, it'll force the less skilled players to learn that Dead Hard is best used for distance and not baiting a hit and make them better.

  • @harry14141414 said:

hitboxes always been an issue in DBD, unfair and annoying issue and the devs actually deny the existence of this issue sadly

the only possible explanation would be that they cannot fix it . like they dont know how or maybe even its not fixable .. I don't know tbh.

    I play in green pings .. 30 - 40 .. 50 max , and the hits through windows are stupid as #########

They have addressed the issue before. I believe they said the problems were attack animations and latency. They've since adjusted the animations of some killers which did not properly match the actual hit detection range, but latency is a much more difficult issue, since you can't have a 0 ping game and there will always be some latency.

Also, they stated that getting hit through windows is intentional, since a killer's weapon should be able to reach over an opening in the wall. Getting hit after you've already left the window, however, is a problem caused by latency.

I love that for him, a scary killer made scarier. Premonition and Spine Chill are only good if you know how to use that information, so generally Tier I got a pretty good buff, especially if you're using Scratched Mirror or just wish to remain in Tier I

I still liked being immune to spine chill and I might have preferred keeping that over the Undetectable since I can remove my terror radius with a perk and I can't do that with spine chill.

Also, I didn't realize there was another person using Open Handed as their avatar. Well met, brother.

I'd really like to see Huntress rework. Like, buff her basekit a bit, but slightly nerf addons. And also, make her 115% speed for the cost of 1 hatchet from basekit (so it would be 4). Like, for real, Huntress is really slow and could be looped very easely. There are some loops in game, where you can't throw hatchet over, but survivors still can see you.. and its really awfull.

Well, even if you can throw hatchet over, you still have massive delay while you charghing it, you still have slowdown while you holding it, and EVEN if you caught surv in the open, he still able to dodge it or hide behind something, making your charge time basically wasted.

4 hatchets at 115% base might be too strong. Maybe there could be an addon that slightly increases your movement speed but reduces your hatchets to 1. Would be a good candidate for a second Ultra Rare addon.

Imo decent If it's taken away from fire up, so both perks remain unique.

    +bump

Fire Up shares effects with Bamboozle and Brutal Strength already. I think it should stay the same so the perks can stack. I think stacking perks that normally aren't that useful alone make for interesting and fun builds.

You could run Fire Up + Bamboozle + Brutal Strength + Sleight of Hand and call it "I'm All Fired Up!" or something.

Or Fire Up + SoH + Agitation + BBQ so you're hooking one survivor after the other with little downtime.

  • @Aura_babyy said:

Wouldnt that make fire up obsolete kinda.

I know it's specific for dying survivors, but still.

I usually use fire up for the extra vault speed and pallet breaking (it's nice to have on Tier 3 Myers and Shadow Dance Wraith, especially with bamboozle).

  • @YaiPa said:

If the dropping survivor penalty halved, works for whatever kind of wiggle out, like ds stun, head on, pallet save, then the perk is S tier, otherwise pretty bad (fire up basically does that, and it isn’t that game changing)

I mean the wiggle meter penalty, not the stun. So if you're carrying a Survivor and see another one, you won't be punished as much for dropping the one you're carrying to chase the other one.

The difference from Fire Up is that it gives you the same bonus but without needing 5 gens to be done. You'll be generally faster when picking up and hooking, especially with agitation, so you can get right back to chasing Survivors. It'll also make Survivors mess up their flashlight timings.

This is meant to be the Killer's green perk. I think I'll buff the numbers, though.

  • She's my secondary. I like the yoinks.

  • Loose Skin can't really be implemented since Killers can use a 5 hex totem build.

Broken teeth may not always work for similar reasons.

Players shouldn't be able to place hex totems anywhere because there will be OP totem locations and multi-hex killers could place all of their hexes together.

Distance should be based on distance from generators instead of distance from other totems.

  • Blink recharge would make sense if they didn't remove most of the extra blink addons. Just give her longer fatigue, it's weird to have 2 separate cooldowns.

  • The "Tech" they might have been referring to is when you use the insta-heal right when you get downed. If you time it right, you'll be fully healed from the dying state. This will no longer be possible in the next patch, however.

  • From what we know, the live one will include the event currency as part of the free rewards. Other than that, it shouldn't be too different.

  • For some reason, this is what came to my mind when I read this post.

"BHVR! We beg you to reconsider!"

    "'Kay."

(All Halloween cosmetics become premium Rift rewards)

    "But you said you'd reconsider!"

"We did. We were going to make the cosmetics obtainable for free by doing the event."

    "But why did you-"

    "We reconsidered."

  • I was hoping you were gonna say that Billy should just chainsaw himself.

  • So many perks need changing, but the one I want changed the most is Mindbreaker.

Mindbreaker shouldn't have the below 50% gen requirement at the very least. At least then survivors couldn't recover exhaustion while repairing. Buffing the lingering Exhaustion would be nice, too.

  • Getting tunneled gives me the big sad. Except when I run them for 5 gens :P

  • First thing I'm getting is Spirit's sword, then Clown's face, then Clown's knife. After that... I guess I'll get the rest of the spirit stuff but I think I'll end up just using the schoolgirl outfit with the halloween sword.

Honestly, it doesn't really matter if Premonition or Spine Chill still works... As long as OoO can't see Myers on the other side of the wall with Tier l 0 TR... than idc.

    Cause OoO ruined stealth, seriously.

Myers was already immune to that, though. And now he's no longer immune to Spine Chill? I'd say he's been nerfed, then.

  • @arslaN said:

They might remove her reverse bear traps in the next patch

That might be the only way to get back on track at this point.

  • I'm more excited for the screwdriver.

I can see it now: Default Myers with a screwdriver instead of a knife. He sees a Laurie, picks her up, and thinks to himself "Ah, I think I've found the problem: she's still breathing." Then he mori's her with a screwdriver.

"There, fixed. All in a day's work for Repairman Myers."

  • Mindbreaker doesn't even need the aura effect. No requirement and a longer time would be fine.

  • It should at least decrease the terror radius. Right now I can only get it down to 4 meters with M&A and Dead Rabbit.

  • @Larisa said:

Lol, pig is not that powerful to expect get get needed or something. People are crazy these days

I was really appreciating their consistency with these Pig nerfs. But this time, they broke my trust. If I can't expect a weak killer to get nerfed every single patch, then how can I trust the devs? There's no telling what they'll do next. For all I know they could buff Legion, too, or make Monstrous Shrine useful!

  • What do you mean? Now instead of using it 0 times per match, you can use it 0 times per match!

Thanks for your response, and trying to see where I could be right, rather than simply calling attention to what I said that is questionable. Also, I agree that I'm off base, and after re-reading what I wrote, I'm being a bit irrational.

My frustration might not even have to do with the game itself, but the industry as a whole. I've developed a lot of resentment towards the video game industry over the past few years, because the primary focus has become making money more than being about making a good game. I think both can happen simultaneously, but it doesn't all that often.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/740937#Comment_740937

I understand that cosmetics don't directly affect the game's balance. Also, it's true that people can buy cosmetics with shards, but it's usually the less desirable outfits that are available that way. I was suggesting that it's possible for the developers to indirectly 'pay-to-win' make the game pay to win. Where, instead of adding items you directly purchase to win, the developers choose to balance the game in favor of people who are willing to spend more money on it. Thereby creating a pay-to-win scenario. Granted, it's not as effective as the traditional pay-to-win approach, but this method would retain players that are against the direct pay-to-win approach. IF this is the case and they're balancing the game this way, it would mean taking money from people while misrepresenting the product, while also concealing actions they would likely be criticized for.

It's true that I'm speculating, but I don't think I'm far off from the psychology behind the business of generating profits for a game like this. Also, I'm not trying to scare anyone, I'm trying to open minds to different perspectives that could be insightful. I could just be crazy, though.

Alright, but Survivors aren't the only ones with cosmetics. Many Killers also spend money on cosmetics.

  • I appreciate the extra perk slot for scratched mirror but... I really hope Spine Chill doesn't counter him now.

  • @Gibberish said:

    None of the above.

Hexes should be manually placable anywhere the Killer wants, with the exception of the basement (too easy to defend, deathtrap), and places that Survivors cannot reach, such as teleporting behind the exit gates with Nurse.

Then they'd just place them all close together.

  • Nurse barely got nerfed. People are overreacting way too much.

You call that a nerf? It’s really not look at the add ons. With the right perk build that is ATROCIOUS.

Yes, I do. Her power, while not by much, is noticably weaker, and so are her add-ons. Even the two range add-ons aren't as good as the original omegablink.

  • They literally nerfed the best killer in the game. How is that not fair?
