What is the proper way of using insta heals? They said to tech, or tack it? I am not aware of certain abbreviations on this game.

    Outside PTB: Use them when behind cover


    Inside PTB: Use the UR before starting something (Generators or totems), use the VR when inside a chase to take a hit or for Mettle stacks

    so when they say , "tec it"..it means behind cover?

    What @TheHoodedOne said. It's more tactical now than it is mindless... You have to know when exactly to pop it off and the right times to do so.

    Right now, it's just instant so you usually just use it when you're at a safe point behind a loop or past a loop.

    When the full nerf comes out, you'll need to be aware of the time it takes to pop off when in a chase or just doing other things... So for example, in a chase with the syringe you'll want to do it at a loop the same way, but you'll also need to know how safe the loop is before you do it, or you can do it at a generator when you're aware the Killer is around to be fully healed when they come up to you...

    If you're just using the rare one, you'll need to wait like... 20 seconds I believe for it to heal you? So that one takes a lot more for-sight and confidence if its going to carry you in a chase when you're healed... The best I can say to use that one is when you just got hit than continue the chase (If you're confident you'll be able to last 20 seconds) or use it before the chase begins when you hear the TR, and you know you have a decent loop route to last for 20 seconds or more.

    The "Tech" they might have been referring to is when you use the insta-heal right when you get downed. If you time it right, you'll be fully healed from the dying state. This will no longer be possible in the next patch, however.

    I've never seen anyone pull that off, sounds impossible. Anyone I faced with a insta heal never tried this, and if they did it never worked.

    Probably because its more risk than it is reward.
