  • I am sure that is not intentional and is a bug.

  • "Are you fully in control of what you do to the game, or do you have an upper management forcing you to do things for 'economic reasons'".

What's that one thing you want, but don't think the devs would ever implement?

Clear communication and feedback with the community.

Out of all 23 survivors which do you think has the best and most useful perks. I quite like Jane's perks but there are plenty of useful ones out there. What do you think?

If you are counting which one starts off with the best perks, that would be Meg Thomas.

is it a good idea to use object of obsession on solo? Or am I crazy for thinking this?

Yes if you are good in a chase and can loop the killer for eternity, otherwise no.

Y-...you know you can equip more than 2 exhaustion perks already and get both effects as long as you wait for the cooldown right? Like you can use head on, and then 40 seconds later you could choose to use dead hard if you're running both perks.

Yeah the more I read these comments the more wrong I think I am about this.

Honestly I wish they just communicated with the fog whisperers aside from giving them codes to promote their new chapters. Some of them, such as ScottJund, have excellent ideas, and the group as a whole are very experienced with the game.

That is what I meant with the lack of communication even with the fog whisperers part; I also think that other more experienced players with like 1500+ hours have a good say in what would be good to add in this game as well.

  • @TheWarNung said:

It does? I mean it gives you exhaustion, so you can't use your other perks until the cooldown is over.

I mean completely disable all other exhaustion perks, meaning you can no longer recover use any exhaustion perks after adrenaline is used, maybe.

For me the Killers that make me want to get out of the game as soon as possible are:

Clown. The slow makes looping him a chore and the blur effect is nauseating. Plus they always have No ED I swear to god.

Doctor. Looping him is also a chore and stealth don’t really work on him either. Also, the fact he passively messes with skill checks and his madness wastes your time just means the game always feels like you have to try harder then normal to do literally anything. (getting static blasted into tier 3 when almost being done cleansing a totem makes me want to DC)

Bubba. Nothing against the Killer mechanica. More the fact that his playerbase camps and slugs more than anyone else and always brings moris for no apparent reason.

Everyone else is fine I guess. Which Killers do you hate to see?

Deathslinger and hag suck to play against especially if they are good. I hate going against them but enjoy playing as them.

I'll never really care if there isn't a basis other than people not learning how to play against Hag, but I've been confused on why I get hate for playing effectively.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1710914#Comment_1710914

If 3 people are harassing, only one is doing gens. I've had multiple harassment squads (as well as streamers spamming flashlights), but they usually just spam the shack and think they can outplay the trap.

It's funny to see people try to do that to me

Lol, you get hate because you figured out how to not have survivors have a "gg EZ PZ baby killer" kind of game. But I will admit, playing hag is easy to me, but if I go against a hag I can get somewhat frustrated and probably will die if my team is less than average.

  • @RockoRango said:

Recently, I've picked up Hag once again to play her instead of Nurse (Because Nurse is extremely broken and becoming stale). However, almost every match now I'm getting DC's, people complaining that Hag should be reworked, and people accusing me of using the scroll wheel to get easy downs (I use E). What's so wrong with Hag that I get MORE hate from playing her than I do on Nurse?

She is a very difficult killer to play against in the right hands, my only tips against her would be to use your flashlights to burn away her traps and constantly have one or two people harass her web of traps. If a hag has at least 8 traps set down, you are probably going to die.

I think the perk is pretty balanced but personally I have issue with just how much it does. It heals you even if you're on a hook and it wakes you up if you're in the dream and even if you're exhausted it gives you the burst of speed. Personally I'd eliminate either having it heal you completely if you're on hook (maybe it gives you a guaranteed self-escape if on first hook to reward skillful players) or if you're exhausted you still recover a health state but don't get the speed boost. Still, there are many other perks I'd prefer looked at before adrenaline even gets looked at.

Maybe it could just give the speed burst when already hooked. The healing part could only work if they are not on a hook.

why is it so strong? Only case i see it being insane is when everyone is injured and they all fully heal

Even then, it is still good and if it happens in a chase you will lose that survivor using it.

Came back for the event, kept getting placed with/against people who just rely on toxic gameplay to win. So yeah, the game is still dog doo.

I played a few matches, lost on both sides, so it's clear that this game hasn't improved since I lasted played and instead devolved into a toxic match for anything you play. Survivors, unless playing as a meta killer (because apparently meta matters instead of having fun), have an overwhelming advantage. The new killer, aka pinball, is garbage and who ever thought it was a good idea to make him should be fired.

All of the killer models are stupid broken, in fact how did you guys even break a simple animation into something that looks like a child trying to learn T-poses and syncing. The game isn't fun anymore especially to new people. The entire team should honestly quit making games. The updated graphics actually look worse than before.

I'm done with this game for good, no more forum posts and no more game. In the beginning, this game looked and seemed promising but now, it might as well be a flaming bag of dog doo placed on someone's porch.

You must be exaggerating because not every game is toxic. Also, it sounds like you are just inexperienced since you have not been able to "win".

The new killer is not bad btw, he takes quite a bit of mechanical skill and can pull off some pretty neat things.

The models aren't even that bad.

    ok

So looking at the stats of dbd they released there’s one killer no body ever talks about cause of how forgettable she was.

If you guessed it, It’s the plague. How come she never gets talked about she’s the most forgotten killer in DBD everyone talks about everyone but her. And there’s a simple reason 1 she’s very weak cause her power is in survivors control and she’s not very strong. Tell me your thoughts on the plague.

I think she is boring to play, she also didn't have much hype when she was released.

Freddy is literally the most broken annoying character to play against and theres virtually no downside to any of his powers. I lose respect for people when they tell me they play freddy. Hes up there with spirit in terms of frustration for me. If someone could explain how a no terror radius, teleporting, anti loop killer with a lunge the size of a football field is balanced id be happy to listen.

"Freddy is literally the most broken annoying character to play against and theres virtually no downside to any of his powers."

    *Laughs in nurse

But seriously, he is not OP. Although I will admit, he does have a lot to his base kit. However, the counter to him is to stay awake as much as you can because if you are, then he will benefit less and less from you being asleep. If the entire team did this it would make him struggle to keep up and he would be an m1 killer. Also if you are asleep, throw pallets early (if he is using snares.)

  • Adrenaline is balanced, but it seems a bit unfair a survivor could have two exhaustion perks. Exhaustion perks are already very powerful, even lithe can get good use. They could use adrenaline and 40 secs later they would still have an exhaustion perk.

  • @TheWarNung said:

It does? I mean it gives you exhaustion, so you can't use your other perks until the cooldown is over.

Yeah it works even when you are exhausted. It would just make sense for the perks to stop working after it has been used while you are exhausted. If you are already exhausted and then you use an exhaustion perk, it would be logical to be exhausted for even longer.

  • @Raz_ said:

Survivors are not allowed to use DS, unbreakable, OoO etc

but I AM allowed to use insta downs, moris, every single strong perk possible and the reasoning is "im the power role"

so you tell me.. ME who has to deal with

    -potatoe teammates

    -Dedicated servers, hitboxes, bloodlust

-unsafe pallets in every corner, dead ends

-insta downs, moris, strong killer perks

even tho i need to deal with more things then you can imagine its a a.s*ole move when i bring strong perks?

BUT "survivor playing is so easy LMAO TROLOLOL"

yeah its very easy especially when you get dedi hits in every corner. go play soloQ with potatoes and lets meet again.

you dont want people to complain about your noed and mori then you also shouldnt complain about some solo survivors bring some perks to survive longer because they dont wanna get tunneled at the beginning of the match.

The mindset of the average DBD player needs to changed

  • Ah, I see that it wasn't a one time glitch. I think that the yellow med kit with self adherent wrap (the yellow addon giving more charges and speed) or something else will not ever work. The only thing you can do right now is hit a great skillcheck to mitigate this.

In order to settle the issues a lot of people are concerned with i feel that a petition can be good to help the devs take problems the community are having seriously. But I in order to make an effective petition it has to be for a problem that a majority of players see is a problem. This is includes both killers and survivors.

First the community (both killers and survivors) has to come to a consensus on a big problem.

Then have people on the forum sign there name on a post that is ment to be a post that is a petition.

The point of this should be to bring awareness to issues the devs might not see as important or not a problem according to them.

Not Otzdarva did a similar thing with the community made patch, however the devs have not responded as expected, or at least not yet. Right now we just have to hope they do.

  • @ringwinning said:

    Hi guys,

I just wondered what you do when your team is full of potatoes. I just deranked because I've had several games where my team runs around like headless chickens and doesn't know what they're doing. My typical response is just to do gens but then of course they all die, so by principle most of the time I die. I save them sometimes but should I prioritize more team play or just keep focusing on the gens?

If you are good in a chase and don't need perks to help you for the most part, try playing normally with perks like WMI and especially kindred. Other than that though, there is not much you can do.

  • @DaddyFatSacks420 said:

His base speed needs to be reduced slightly. He can teleport across the map. Meanwhile the nurse crawls and can barely jump as far as I could throw the hag

I can probably agree on a SLIGHT nerf, I really hope the devs don't kill him.

  • @MusicNerd_TC said:

All he needs is oblivious removed so he can't camp to prevent BT.

    He is absolutely fine otherwise.

If the savior is awake, then you can save someone and they will have the BT effect.

  • @Funchal said:

    (Google Translate)

He does not require any skills for all the benefits he receives:

    • Reduction of up to 60% of the teleportation cooldown that can accumulate up to 80% using addons. No character in the game achieves such a reduction number as Freddy in his power
    • The rope and chain addons are passive and do not require Freddy to do anything to get results, where literally the game can start with a slowdown already applied. Again, no character has this feature
    • Apply Oblivious status when entering the dream preventing the use of BT, basically a full plate for tunnelers only using the M1
    • Lullaby with one-dimensional sound preventing the survivor from being able to discern where Freddy is because he breathes too low. Another super resource for free
    • Alarm Clocks are super counter intuitive to use because crossing the map to wake up for him to just teleport on your generator and put you in the dream again is a complete waste of time

All Freddy's problems are concentrated between him getting an advantage by doing nothing, this is the most frustrating part of facing him, because you feel hurt to avoid him in all ways and he still succeeds because of his complete and super kit easy, it's just frustrating

I can see what you mean. He is frustrating to go against and his power gives him too much. But can't most of them be avoided by waking up using your teammates as well as a clock? Also, I didn't know he already had built in slowdown does he really have slowdown in his basekit?

  • @anarchy753 said:

Amazing. How is a killer with chase potential, map traversal, semi-stealth, and BT removal with no built in downside performing better than all the other killers?

    I just don't get it.

Actually, if a survivor who is saving another survivor saves them while awake, they get the BT effect. Also because he is so good and I say again balanced, then of course survivors are going to complain about him.

  • @Slashstreetboy said:

Freddy is OP. The recent statistics show him having a high kill rate, and this is everything that matters to the guy in charge. You can´t argue against his stats, reason will get you nowhere there.

Just because he has a high kill rate doesn't exactly mean he is OP tho

  • @Acromio said:

We know, but he's getting nerfed anyway.

Really? Did the devs say they were going to?

  • @B_Random said:

I had an idea to buff Legion with a small buff, which is to increase his Frenzy speed by 10% or 15%.

In my opinion it's not a major buff, it's just a minor one and I believe it would help Legion a little due to the exhaustion perks (I'm looking at you Sprint Burst) that allow people to dodge their first stab from Frenzy. It also feels like the buff given to Blight and Demogorgon when they were able to break pallets in their base kit, it's a minor buff that doesn't make the killer too OP, but is a slight help to keep them up in the chase.

    Just a thought is all.

I think that the legion just needs a slight rework with changes to his base power and especially addons.

  • @Slashstreetboy said:

It´s the best solo perk in my opinion. Whenever someone is on the hook, a group of solos gets a glimpse of how SWF can coordinate.

Exactly why I run it all the time. I also plan to play a game with only this one perk to show its effectiveness.

  • @Viciusaurus said:

I watched him give codes away today, and he did his best to come up with a way to give console players a chance by revealing all but the last two digits of the code to help them out, but still they're gone before one can even hit the Redeem button. He's definitely trying to figure out a method so everyone has an equal chance.

BHVR, can't these codes have a day where they can have unlimited uses as opposed to being limited to only ten people max? I understand it's meant to support streamers, but I'd honestly rather earn the charm in game than play Lotto Simulator.

It is crazy that they have given us nothing for this event and have the nerve to make anything more exclusive and hard to get.

  • @druggedpug69 said:

Every game has a death eventually. So what do you think will do in dbd? Could it be that the games problems aren't fixed quickly enough and people decide enough is enough? Or maybe people get bored of the asymmetrical horror genre. A new game could come by and swipe dbd fans away. Dbd might just fade out like any other game. Etc.

(I just want to know your guy's ideas for why dbd will eventually fall just like any other game, so don't start clowning (pun intended) on the devs. I hear that the mods can smell negativity a mile away.)

The most important issue is the clear lack of communication with the devs and the community. Imagine how well off DBD would be if the devs actually communicated with the community and took notes on valid criticism that they have managed to ignore about every single time.

  • @Itachi said:

Am I just super unlucky with RNG or is my game broken?!

You are just incredibly unlucky, I have also felt worse during the 4th year anniversary event where I spent an upwards of 4 million bloodpoints to get 4 cool flashlights and 5 cool med kits.

By the way you think, coal tower, hawkins, and azarov resting place are trash because killers can end the game in 2 minutes, cuz all the loops are unsafe, the gens are too close to eachother and skilled killers won't give you a chance

Not necessarily. But since we are on the topic of killer/survivor sided maps -

Coal tower: Survivor sided due to incredibly safe tile spawns

Hawkins: Killer sided because survivors have a much reduced time to realize if a killer is coming their way especially if it is a stealth killer. They could use spine chill but all you have to do to counter that is look in another direction while approaching a generator or area where survivors are.

Azarov's resting place: Killer sided if the killer lets survivors do gens on one side of the map while keeping 3 and sometimes 4 gens on one part of the map where it is almost impossible to win as survivor.

ormond has many pallets, main building and is big.

That map is good for survivors and high mobility killers, next

Not even high mobility killers can always perform well (maybe nurse but even then). What I meant was that it was the worst map to be added in the game because it is pretty powerful for survivors and sucks for every killer. If survivors are good loopers or hammer out gens or both, you will most likely lose regardless of how hard you try.

  • @FFabeq said:

We'll Make It is an amazing perk. For SWF teams.

Seriously, I love running healing perks but I rarely get more than 1 save a trial thanks to hook bombing geniuses who never learned to stop doing that. I just find Botany to be far more consistent. Better a permanent 33% increase that also applies with Self Care than 180 seconds of zippy heals once a trial of I'm lucky.

I can understand that. It could possibly even be a new meta perk in the right hands of a SWF team.
