Almost every game, I am stocking up on yellow and up tiered items. Otherwise, I use stitches on brown medkits or yellow and brown toolboxes.
-
His upcoming buff (assuming they take away that weird slower uncloaking mms) will put him in B tier, he will have good mobility and stealth which can be used very well.

You have the endurance thing on your list twice just so you know
Also, I don't agree with being able to do skill checks when you're getting chased off of something. If you're in the middle of turning a wrench (example) and you get chased off of what you're doing you don't get to finish turning that wrench from 5ft away. You drop the wrench and it hits the ground. That's always been my reasoning behind it and it's never really bothered me
Otherwise the only thing I can think of that hasn't been mentioned is adding two more emotes for survivors. You have the left and right arrows on console that's not used for anything.
More informational emotes for survivors would be nice, and it could help solo queue. I think one for motioning "I will go save this person" would be nice, and another for some other action.

I was about to say that sometimes I feel like I'm the only one that doesn't thinks solo survivors are toothless.
Yeah, I have had my fair share of full-on SWF teams, Kindred allowed those things to happen.

How about locking in the grab/unhook animation, like every other action in the game. Once you're committed to vaulting, you vault. Once you're committed to throwing the palette, the palette comes down (and stuns the killer even if they hit you). But for some reason, when survivors go for an unsafe unhooking right in the killer's face, they can cancel the unhook to try to bait an attack instead. And they can stay on generators well past the point where the killer's hand is on their shoulder and they're about to pick them up, but then they let go and the grab is fully cancelled.
If it plays the grab animation, you should get the grab 100% of the time.
I don't think so, this would make it near impossible for one person without help to save someone from hook.
As for the grabs, we know they suck, but that problem is because of dedicated servers and is a pretty hard issue to fix (I would assume).

Ah, then I'll add it.

It doesn't matter if it is a SWF or not, any skilled survivor can use tiles in a way to where it is honestly unfair for the killer. SWF just makes them have information on the killer.

Why? I can't see any reason that Legion needs to lose his power for M1'ing a Survivor.
Oh, I thought you meant when missing an attack for feral frenzy.

I think they should still lose some of it, just not all of it. A 50% loss of their power sounds like a nice compromise.

I don't think Styptics need a buff.
Here's some QOL changes they should make:
- Let Trapper carry 2 traps at base. There's an add-on that does this, so it'd take like 10 minutes at most to program. Could even be included in a hot fix.
- Allow one survivor and one killer challenge from the rift to be selected at once
- In game menu should have a list of dailies and our progress toward them. Same goes for the rift challenges.
- Allow us to select one daily to collect, instead of collecting all. Sometimes you just want to save challenges.
It wasn't really a buff, but just a little thing to help make it easier to use. Sometimes people finish a medkit with a syringe or styptic and are unable to use it, it would fix that.
The trapper thing would be pretty cool and helpful.
That would also be nice and convinient. We could even have a daily and challenge reminder by pressing escape so we can see our progress towards them in a game.
Btw, you can collect one daily at a time, just click the little check mark
-
It would be kind of cool to see more detail, but that is a LOT of work to do, and I'm pretty sure they can't because it would make the game illegal in other countries.

Oni
When you become skillful with him, he becomes a very powerful killer. He is strong, fun to play as, fun to play against, and his good addons make him stronger but not totally OP. Once you learn how to glide in tiles, he becomes a lot scarier to play as.
You can also run around the map better than billy could ever dream for.
Being an intimidating killer like this is very fun and I would recommend getting Oni and learning how to play him above all other killers.
My next choice would be P head since he is also really fun.

- Killer and survivor tickets to play with a survivor or killer you don't have (except for licensed ones for some reason). - This will allow people to see if they like a DLC killer BEFORE they buy them. As far as I know, there are 6 and 24-hour tickets.
You don't get access to add-ons, and I have 80 of these 24 hour tickets (the other one is 12 hours by the way, not 6). That's a bad business model for BHVR.
Licensed ones are forbidden because they can only be bought with auric cells; they are significantly more expensive to operate, and you don't want people getting them for free.
- Bots that take over a person who has DC'd - Better than nothing and work well enough. (screw players who dc when they are downed for the first time)
Believe me, this sounds great, but the bots literally spend all game crouching in the corners of the map. Never once have I been healed by a bot.
- Great optimization - Everything runs smoothly if your phone can handle the game, things only start to break when you have bad wifi or connection. Just butter-smooth gameplay every second.
Kind of. Hit validation is very strict, and laggy killers are always punished, but there are occasional frame drops and the controls are just ... it's mobile.
- It's free
Sure, that would be great, but video game companies are always running on notoriously thin margins, and video game titles are the only way they can make money.
Oops, I guess I didn't know about that. I do know that there are 6-hour tickets because I used one for nurse just yesterday.
I myself don't remember seeing any bots hide around all the time. If you go up to them while injured they will help.
I guess it makes sense for them to be purchased with auric cells.
For the most part still, I have fun because of how well mobile runs compared to PC.
Dead by Daylight is their only current successful game, and they make a metric ton of money off of it for sure considering how much the game is monetized. It would be better if the base game was free meaning you start out with Trapper, Wraith, and the other starting survivors and killers, but everything else had to either have shards to pay for them or cells.

Why would you play Adam when Kate and Jane have jiggle physics?

Jokes on you, I main Claudette and actually get things done. The ultimate psych out according to this list.

All these suggestions are great except your last one. You shouldn't be able to down players with Legion's very basic micromanagement. Legion's ability to keep people injured and mending is already keeping people off generators. Downing with an ability that is constant 150% doesn't offer any counterplay to that survivor. It's not hard to get hits with feral frenzy (which is fine when it can only injure).
The decrease in stun per hit is a great idea though.
I support the ability to get the power up more often too. It's weaker than spirits power by miles. Should have it up at thrice the speed.
Would it really be that unfair though? The times where you manage to even hit 3 survivors much less 4 are pretty rare. It would force survivors to play smart against a legion and punish them for grouping up. Mending does keep them off gens, but not for long since it only slows them down for about 12 seconds. It would also allow him to have more pressure since the Legion could throw survivors in a panic if they are too close together.
-
Just gotta play harder man
seriously though, I don't understand why killers can't get their adept achievements just with a simple 4 k

Imo, there is no fixing Deep Wound. Currently, it's hilariously weak but if you buff it, it becomes OP
That is why I wanted to be very careful with it, do you really think it would be too strong this way? It would punish survivors for trying to greed while in deep wound which most do because they have all the time in the world to mend. With this, the most time they could spend doing a generator for example would be about 9 seconds before the deep wound meter runs out.
-
@Phasmamain said:
Maybe but this won’t make it any less scary. If I know I have the time I’m doing it either way
The fact that survivors can still clutch a heal or generator while being in deep wound is weird because they are supposed to be at their most vulnerable is a bit weird and cheeky. So for example as Legion, I hit someone with it and hit another survivor but the first survivor still finishes the generator he was on. It would semi-buff legion and encourage survivors to stop what they are doing or be punished, but without being too strong.

It should not be a priority, toxicity is in every game. There are bigger issues than dealing with toxicity honestly, if the game were much fairer there would not be as much toxicity in the first place.

Well what about stridor? Arguably iron wills equivalent is stridor so any changes to iron will you would most likely have to stridor wouldn't you?
Stridor doesn't completely take away stealth for survivors though. Stridor only makes it harder. Survivors can still use lockers, finished generators, and iron will (it still works). It just buffs a killer's ability to use sound to find survivors without making it totally unfair for survivors. So no I don't think that we should change stridor with iron will.

Yeah But there are other tracking tools like blood and scratch marks, as well as an assortment of killer perks that make tracking survivors easier. And I don't think it's right to have every perk require that you do something to get the effect.
The thing is perks that disable the other two forms of tracking are very limited. Imagine if iron will for some reason made scratch marks disappear almost immediately, that doesn't sound too fair right?
The only reason those types of perks are bad is because they are situational and limited (take poised for example). Iron will is so strong because it lasts forever, and doesn't require any special condition to activate, it just activates when injured. There isn't a single killer perk that completely takes out any aspect of gameplay for survivors, yet survivors have iron will which completely removes an option for tracking on the killer side.
I think iron will should only dramatically reduce noises made by being injured by 75% because that seems perfect since it doesn't completely take away its stealth potential, but it doesn't make it non-existent for the killer.

Not a bad idea. And with this change it would prompt the devs to nerf iron will.
I honestly think iron will is borderline unfair since it completely removes a tracking option for killers, and the survivors don't even do anything to earn it. I think a 25% nerf would be nice and is definitely not bad at all. They could crouch away and make almost no noise and it would teach survivors to make use of the environment to get away from the killer. For example, with 75% noise reduction (lvl 2 iron will) a survivor can hide pretty well near a generator that has at least 15% progress on it (because of the noise muffling the injured survivor) and completely muffle them in lockers.

Rework the spirit how?
A good idea that I heard from the community-made patch compiled by otz was to make her show glimpses of herself each second or so when she is phasing. To me, that sounds awesome and fits her design as a ghosty kind of killer and wouldn't exactly ruin her power. It could probably use some tweaks though.

Well how often are they reported? If they were reported all the time they should have fixed it by now
Keep in mind that it took BHVR 5+ years to come out with colorblind settings, I wouldn't get my hopes up for them to actually do much good for their game.

Can we not nerf iron will please. Ita one of the only counters against stridor spirit and nerfing that would make her too powerful.
I think we should still nerf it. What we need instead of keeping iron will is reworking the spirit instead of keeping iron will as a sort of band-aid fix.

You don't need to pay money for them already.
If you actually play DBD, you get them passively with playtime, if you don't play, why would you even want them.
You have to spend about 70 hours of your life to get one killer or survivor that are unlockable with shards, a bit much wouldn't you say? You already have to pay 20$ for a game and start out with 5 killers. If you want to buy the killers and skip past the iri shard grind, you have to pay even more money for each chapter or DLC which can get pretty pricey. If you want cosmetics then that is even more money or even more shards.
I don't agree with the OP's statement that all future DLC's should be free though.
-
I really don't want to wait 6 minutes each time I want to play survivor for an 8-10 minute match on average. I would be willing to play with noobs if it means I can play the game faster.

Literally perfect analogy lol... They would definitely need to add a mute button!!
Yeah, technically a mute button would completely stop the toxicity from being heard, but BHVR would have to actually implement this whole feature.
-
Playing killer in the first place gives them the right to bully, I am pretty sure they would bully you regardless of what killer you are playing.
-
I have been thinking about this a lot lately. I never really thought much about it before, but you are right in saying that the game was not designed for this specifically. I mean, now that I think of it, it actually is pretty unfair for the killer. But I am not sure how you would fix this. Would you completely nerf it or get rid of it? Or somehow give the killer something when against SWF groups to compensate? It is also a very hard thing to fix because most SWF groups love using voice chat to play with each other.
Honestly, the best solution to this I have heard so far is to enable proximity voice chat in the game. But it doesn't take a genius to say what is wrong with that. I believe the levels of toxicity in this game rival the salt from RUST, and that is saying something. But you know what? On the serious side, voice proximity chat would allow better solo queue coordination in general and since the killer would hear them, abrupt intervention by the killer would prevent them from communicating properly making stealth killers and stealth powerful because they could spy on survivors for information.
Voice proximity chat is definitely a very scary thing (for most people since a lot of children) because of the sheer toxicity that can come from it. I can already hear it now: "Toxic piece of poop camper" or "f-bombing duckhead". However, the only thing stopping proximity chat from being in-game I believe is the fear of toxicity. I myself could handle a 25-year-old man or woman cussing me out in-game (I mean they already do in other games lmao), but could a mentally unstable person or young child handle it? Probably not, and that is scary which is why it makes it hard to implement.
-
The reward is you being a good killer, morally.
-
It can go both ways
-
I say that but only if they are toxic in the end game chat, if they say gg then no matter what they did I will say gg and move on (regardless of how upset I may be).
-
Not even joking, but most people I play with against him are just clueless on what to do. They usually kill themselves on hook :/
